In this paper, we study the boundedness and the compactness of the little Hankel operators $h_b$ with operator-valued symbols $b$ between different weighted vector-valued Bergman spaces on the open unit ball $\mathbb{B}_n$ in $\mathbb{C}^n.$ More precisely, given two complex Banach spaces $X,Y,$ and $0 < p,q \leq 1,$ we characterize those operator-valued symbols $b: \mathbb{B}_{n}\rightarrow \mathcal{L}(\overline{X},Y)$ for which the little Hankel operator $h_{b}: A^p_α(\mathbb{B}_{n},X) \longrightarrow A^q_α(\mathbb{B}_{n},Y),$ is a bounded operator. Also, given two reflexive complex Banach spaces $X,Y$ and $1 < p \leq q < \infty,$ we characterize those operator-valued symbols $b: \mathbb{B}_{n}\rightarrow \mathcal{L}(\overline{X},Y)$ for which the little Hankel operator $h_{b}: A^p_α(\mathbb{B}_{n},X) \longrightarrow A^q_α(\mathbb{B}_{n},Y),$ is a compact operator.
We characterize the membership of Hankel operators with general symbols in the Schatten Classes $S^p,\, p\in(0,1),$ of the large Bergman spaces $A^2_ω$. The case $p\geq 1$ was proved by Lin and Rochberg.
We establish weak factorizations for a weighted Bergman space $A^p_{\a}$, with $1<p<\infty$, into two weighted Bergman spaces on the unit ball of $\C^n$. To obtain this result, we characterize bounded Hankel forms on weighted Bergman spaces on the unit ball of $\C^n$.
Let $Ω\subset \mathbb{C}^2$ be a bounded pseudoconvex complete Reinhardt domain with a smooth boundary. We study the behavior of analytic structure in the boundary of $Ω$ and obtain a compactness result for Hankel operators on the Bergman space of $Ω$.
We completely characterize the simultaneous membership in the Schatten ideals $S_ p$, $0<p<\infty$ of the Hankel operators $H_ f$ and $H_{\bar{f}}$ on the Bergman space, in terms of the behaviour of a local mean oscillation function, proving a conjecture of Kehe Zhu from 1991.
The boundedness of the small Hankel operator $h_f^ν(g)=P_ν(f\bar{g})$, induced by an analytic symbol $f$ and the Bergman projection $P_ν$ associated to $ν$, acting from the weighted Bergman space $A^p_\om$ to $A^q_ν$ is characterized on the full range $0<p,q<\infty$ when $ω,ν$ belong to the class $\mathcal{D}$ of radial weights admitting certain two-sided doubling conditions. Certain results obtained are equivalent to the boundedness of bilinear Hankel forms, which are in turn used to establish the weak factorization $A_η^{q}=A_ω^{p_{1}}\odot A_ν^{p_{2}}$, where $1<q,p_{1},p_{2}<\infty$ such t…
On the setting of the Siegel upper half-space we study the spaces of bounded and vanishing mean oscillations which are defined in terms of the Berezin transform, and we use them to characterize bounded and compact Hankel operators on Bergman space.
We introduce a family of weighted BMO and VMO spaces for the unit ball and use them to characterize bounded and compact Hankel operators between different Bergman spaces. In particular, we resolve two problems left open by S. Janson in 1988 and R. Wallsten in 1990.
We study big Hankel operators $H_f^ν:A^p_ω\to L^q_ν$ generated by radial Bekollé-Bonami weights $ν$, when $1<p\leq q<\infty$. Here the radial weight $ω$ is assumed to satisfy a two-sided doubling condition, and $A^p_ω$ denotes the corresponding weighted Bergman space. A characterization for simultaneous boundedness of $H_f^ν$ and $H_{\overline{f}}^ν$ is provided in terms of a general weighted mean oscillation. Compared to the case of standard weights that was recently obtained by Pau, Zhao and Zhu (Indiana Univ. Math. J. 2016), the respective spaces depend on the weights $ω$ and $ν$ in an esse…
For $\mathbb B^n$ the unit ball of $\mathbb C^n$, we consider Bergman-Orlicz spaces of holomorphic functions in $L^Φ_α$, which are generalizations of classical Bergman spaces. We characterize the dual space of large Bergman-Orlicz space, and bounded Hankel operators between some Bergman-Orlicz spaces $A_α^{Φ_1}(\mathbb B^n)$ and $A_α^{Φ_2}(\mathbb B^n)$ where $Φ_1$ and $Φ_2$ are either convex or concave growth functions.
For a class of $O(n+1,R)$ invariant measures on the Kepler manifold possessing finite moments of all orders, we describe the reproducing kernels of the associated Bergman spaces, discuss the corresponding asymptotic expansions of Tian-Yau-Zelditch, and study the relevant Hankel operators with conjugate holomorphic symbols. Related reproducing kernels on the minimal ball are also discussed. Finally, we observe that the Kepler manifold either does not admit balanced metrics, or such metrics are not unique.
We obtain a sharp norm estimate for Hankel operators with anti-analytic symbol for weighted Bergman spaces. For the classical Bergman space, the estimate improves the corresponding classical Putnam inequality for commutators of Toeplitz operators with analytic symbol by a factor of $1/2$, answering a recent conjecture by Bell, Ferguson and Lundberg. As an application, this yields a new proof of the de St. Venant inequality, which relates the torsional rigidity of a domain with its area.
We prove the following localization for compactness of Hankel operators on Bergman spaces. Assume that D is a bounded pseudoconvex domain in C^n, p is a boundary point of D and B(p,r) is a ball centered at p with radius r so that U=D\cap B(p,r) is connected. We show that if the Hankel operator H^D_f is compact on A^2(D) (the symbols f is C^1 on the closure of D) then H^U_f is compact on A^2(U) where A^2(D) and A^2(U) denote the Bergman spaces on D and U, respectively.
In this paper, we study the behavior of the singular values of Hankel operators on weighted Bergman spaces $A^2_{ω_φ}$, where $ω_φ= e^{-φ}$ and $φ$ is a subharmonic function. We consider compact Hankel operators $H_{\overline ϕ}$, with anti-analytic symbols ${\overline ϕ}$, and give estimates of the trace of $h(|H_{\overline ϕ}|)$ for any convex function $h$. This allows us to give asymptotic estimates of the singular values $(s_n(H_{\overline ϕ}))_n$ in terms of decreasing rearrangement of $|ϕ'|/\sqrt{Δφ}$. For the radial weights, we first prove that the critical decay of $(s_n(H_{\overline ϕ…
We investigate which boundary points in the closed unit ball of the Bergman space of integrable holomorphic functions on the unit disc are strongly exposed. This requires study of the Bergman projection and its kernel, the annihilator of Bergman space. We show that all polynomials in the boundary of the unit ball are strongly exposed.
We give embedding theorems for weighted Bergman-Orlicz spaces on the ball and then apply our results to the study of composition operators in this context. As one of the motivations of this work, we show that there exist some weighted Bergman-Orlicz spaces, different from $H^{\infinity}$, on which every composition operator is bounded.
Some new characterizations on Carleson measures for weighted Bergman spaces on the unit ball involving product of functions are obtained. For these we characterize bounded and compact Toeplitz operators between weighted Bergman spaces. The above results are applied to characterize bounded and compact extended Cesàro operators and pointwise multiplication operators. The results are new even in the case of the unit disk.
For $α>-1$ and $0<p<\infty$, we study weighted Bergman spaces $\mathcal B^p_α$ of harmonic functions on the real hyperbolic ball and obtain an atomic decomposition of these spaces in terms of reproducing kernels. We show that an $r$-separated sequence $\{a_m\}$ with sufficiently large $r$ is an interpolating sequence for $\mathcal B^p_α$. Using these we determine precisely when a Bergman space $\mathcal B^p_α$ is included in another Bergman space $\mathcal B^q_β$.
In this paper, we present maximal and area integral characterizations of Bergman spaces in the unit ball of $\mathbb{C}^n.$ The characterizations are in terms of maximal functions and area integral functions on Bergman balls involving the radial derivative, the complex gradient, and the invariant gradient. As an application, we obtain new maximal and area integral characterizations of Besov spaces. Moreover, we give an atomic decomposition of real-variable type with respect to Carleson tubes for Bergman spaces.
We obtain some estimates for norm and essential norm of the difference of two composition operators between weighted Bergman spaces $A^p_α$ and $A^q_β$ on the unit ball. In particular, we completely characterize the boundedness and compactness of $C_φ-C_ψ: A^p_α\to A^q_β$ for full range $0<p,q<\infty$, $-1<α,β<\infty$.
In this paper, a family of holomorphic spaces of tent type in the unit ball of $\mathbb{C}^n$ is introduced, which is closely related to maximal and area integral functions in terms of the Bergman metric. It is shown that these spaces coincide with Bergman spaces. Furthermore, Littlewood-Paley type $g$-functions for the Bergman spaces are introduced in terms of the radial derivative, the complex gradient, and the invariant gradient. The corresponding characterizations for Bergman spaces are obtained as well. As an application, we obtain new maximal and area integral characterizations for Hardy…
Let D be a piecewise smooth bounded convex Reinhardt domain in C^2. Assume that the symbols f and g are continuous on the closure of D and harmonic on the disks in the boundary of D. We show that if the product of Hankel operators H^*_f H_g is compact on the Bergman space of D, then on any disk in the boundary of D, either f or g is holomorphic.
We compute the Dixmier trace of pseudo-Toeplitz operators on the Fock space. As an application we find a formula for the Dixmier trace of the product of commutators of Toeplitz operators on the Hardy and weighted Bergman spaces on the unit ball of \mathbb C^d. This generalizes an earlier work of Helton-Howe for the usual trace of the anti-symmetrization of Toeplitz operators.
The boundedness of $P_ω:L^\infty(\mathbb{B})\to \mathcal{B}(\mathbb{B})$ and $P_ω(P_ω^+):L^p(\mathbb{B},\upsilon dV)\to L^p(\mathbb{B},\upsilon dV)$ on the unit ball of $\mathbb{C}^n$ with $p>1$ and $ω,\upsilon\in \mathcal{D}$ are investigated in this paper.
The boundedness and compactness of Toeplitz operator from $A_ω^p$ to $A_ω^q$ with doubling weights $ω$ are studied in this paper. The characterizations of Schatten class Toeplitz operators and Volterra operators on $A_ω^2$ are also investigated.
In this paper, we show that every (weighted) Bergman space $\mathcal{A}^p_α (\mathbb{B}_n)$ in the complex ball admits an atomic decomposition of real-variable type for any $0 < p \le 1$ and $α> -1.$ More precisely, for each $f \in \mathcal{A}^p_α (\mathbb{B}_n)$ there exist a sequence of real-variable $(p, \8)_α$-atoms $a_k$ and a scalar sequence $\{λ_k \}$ with $\sum_k | λ_k |^p < \8$ such that $f = \sum_k λ_k P_α (a_k),$ where $P_α$ is the Bergman projection from $L^2_α (\mathbb{B}_n)$ onto $\mathcal{A}^2_α (\mathbb{B}_n).$ The proof is constructive, and our construction is based on some sh…
In this paper, we investigate the spectra of invertible weighted composition operators with automorphism symbols, on Hardy space $H^2(\mathbb{B}_N)$ and weighted Bergman spaces $A_α^2(\mathbb{B}_N)$, where $\mathbb{B}_N$ is the unit ball of the $N$-dimensional complex space. By taking $N=1$, $\mathbb{B}_N=\mathbb{D}$ the unit disc, we also complete the discussion about the spectrum of a weighted composition operator when it is invertible on $H^2(\mathbb{D})$ or $A_α^2(\mathbb{D})$.
In this work, we extend the theory of Békollè-Bonami $B_p$ weights. Here we replace the constant $p$ by a non-negative measurable function $p(\cdot),$ which is log-Hölder continuous function with lower bound $1$. We show that the Bergman projector on the unit ball of $\mathbb C^n$ is continuous on the weighted variable Lebesgue spaces $L^{p(\cdot)}(w)$ if and only if $w$ belongs to the generalised Békollè-Bonami class $B_{p(\cdot)}$. To achieve this, we define a maximal function and show that it is bounded on $L^{p(\cdot)}(w)$ if $w\in B_{p(\cdot)}$. We next state and prove a weighted extrapol…
In this paper we characterize compact Hankel operators with conjugate holomorphic symbols on the Bergman space of bounded convex Reinhardt domains in $\mathbb{C}^2$. We also characterize compactness of Hankel operators with conjugate holomorphic symbols on smooth bounded pseudoconvex complete Reinhardt domains in $\mathbb{C}^2$.
In our preprint q-alg/9703005 q-analogues of bounded symmetric domains were defined to be homogeneous spaces of the associated quantum groups. The investigation of a simplest among those domains, the quantum matrix ball, was started in math.QA/9803110. This work presents a construction of q-analogues for Hardy-Bergman spaces of 'functions in those balls', together with an explicit form of the Bergman kernel. Besides that, two auxiliary results are also established: a boundedness of matrix balls is proved, and de Rham complexes of differential forms with finite coefficients in those balls are c…
This paper is devoted to the study of the weighted Bergman space $A_ω^p $ in the unit ball $\mathbb{B}$ of $\mathbb{C}^n$ with doubling weight $ω$ satisfying $$\int_r^1ω(t)dt <C \int_{\frac{1+r}{2}}^1ω(t)dt ,\,\, 0\leq r<1.$$ The $q-$Carleson measures for $A_ω^p$ are characterized in terms of a neat geometric condition involving Carleson block. Some equivalent characterizations for $A_ω^p$ are obtained by using the radial derivative and admissible approach regions. The boundedness and compactness of Volterra integral operator $T_g:A_ω^p\to A_ω^q$ are also investigated in this paper with $0<p\l…
We study the $L^p-L^q$ boundedness of Bergman projector on the minimal ball. This improves an important result of \cite{MY} due to G. Mengotti and E. H. Youssfi.
We deal with a class of one-parameter family of integral transforms of Bargmann type arising as dual transforms of fractional Hankel transform. Their ranges are identified to be special subspaces of the weighted hyperholomorphic left Hilbert spaces, generalizing the slice Bergman space of the second kind. Their reproducing kernel is given by closed expression involving the $\star$-regularization of Gauss hypergeometric function. We also discuss their basic properties such as their boundedness and we determinate their singular values. Moreover, we describe their compactness and membership in $p…
Let $Ω$ be an arbitrary bounded semi-Reinhardt domain in $\mathbb{C}^{m+n}$. We show that for $m \geq 2$, if a Hankel operator with an anti-holomorphic symbol is Hilbert-Schmidt on the Bergman space $L_a^2(Ω)$, then it must equal zero. This fact has previously been proved for Reinhardt domains.
We proceed with studying the q-analogues of Cartan domains introduced in q-alg/9703005 and turn to the case of a ball in the space of complex matrices. An explicit expression for a positive $U_q\frak{su}_{nm}$-invariant integral (see math.QA/9803110) is used to define q-analogues for weighted Bergman spaces. The orthogonal projections onto these spaces are integral operators; this work presents an explicit formula for their kernels.
We characterize the boundedness of Hankel bilinear forms on a product of generalized Fock-Sobolev spaces on ${\mathbb C}^n$ with respect to the weight $(1+|z|)^ρe^{-\fracα2|z|^{2\ell}}$, for $\ell\ge 1$, $α>0$ and $ρ\in{\mathbb R}$. We obtain a weak decomposition of the Bergman kernel with estimates and a Littlewood-Paley formula, which are key ingredients in the proof of our main results. As an application, we characterize the boundedness, compactness and the membership in the Schatten class of small Hankel operators on these spaces.
We characterize the Carleson measures for an exponential Bergman space on the unit ball of $\mathbb C^n$ in terms of the ball induced by the complex Hessian of the logarithm of the weight function. The boundedness (or compactness) of integral operators, Cesàro operators and Toeplitz operators, is given using the Carleson measure (or vanishing Carleson measure) characterization.
We consider Fock spaces $F^{p,\ell}_α$ of entire functions on ${\mathbb C}$ associated to the weights $e^{-α|z|^{2\ell}}$, where $α>0$ and $\ell$ is a positive integer. We compute explicitly the corresponding Bergman kernel associated to $F^{2,\ell}_α$ and, using an adequate factorization of this kernel, we characterize the boundedness and the compactness of the small Hankel operator $\mathfrak{h}^{\ell}_{b,α}$ on $F^{p,\ell}_α$. Moreover, we also determine when $\mathfrak{h}^{\ell}_{b,α}$ is a Hilbert-Schmidt operator on $F^{2,\ell}_α$.
We study a characterization of slice Carleson measures and of Carleson measures for the both the Hardy spaces $H^p(\mathbb B)$ and the Bergman spaces $\mathcal A^p(\mathbb B)$ of the quaternionic unit ball $\mathbb B$. In the case of Bergman spaces, the characterization is done in terms of the axially symmetric completion of a pseudohyperbolic disc in a complex plane. We also show that a characterization in terms of pseudohyperbolic balls is not possible.
In the paper we consider the polyharmonic Bergman space for the union of the rotated unit Euclidean balls. Using so called zonal polyharmonics we derive the formulas for the kernel of this space. Moreover, we study the weighted polyharmonic Bergman space. By the same argument we get the Bergman kernel for this space.
