In this paper, we introduce an iterative process which converges strongly to a common element of sets of solutions of finite family of generalized equilibrium problems, sets of fixed points of finite family of continuous relatively nonexpansive mappings and sets of zeros of finite family of $γ$-inverse strongly monotone mappings in Banach spaces. Our theorems improve and generalize several results which are announced recently. Our iteration process, method of proof and corollaries are of independent interest
The concept of nonlinear split ordered variational inequality problems on partially ordered vector spaces is a natural extension of linear split vector variational inequality problems on Banach spaces. The results about nonlinear split ordered variational inequality problems are immediately applied to solving nonlinear split vector optimization problems. In this paper, we prove the solvability of some nonlinear split ordered variational inequality problems by using some fixed point theorems on partially ordered spaces, in which the considered mappings may not be required to have any type of co…
In this paper, we extend the concept of split variational inequality problems from Hilbert spaces to Banach spaces. Then we apply the Fan-KKM theorem to prove the existence of solutions to some split variational inequality problems and some split minimization problems in Banach spaces. We also apply fixed point theorems on Chain complete posets to show the solvability of some split variational inequality problems in partially ordered Banach space.
We introduce a new system of split variational inequality problems which is a natural extension of split variational inequality problem in semi-inner product spaces. We use the retraction technique to propose an iterative algorithm for computing the approximate solution of the system of split variational inequality problems. Further, the convergence analysis of the iterative algorithm is also discussed. Several special cases which can be obtained from the main result are also discussed.
In this paper, we introduce a system of split variational inequality problems in real Hilbert spaces. Using projection method, we propose an iterative algorithm for the system of split variational inequality problems. Further, we prove that the sequence generated by the iterative algorithm converges strongly to a solution of the system of split variational inequality problems. Furthermore, we discuss some consequences of the main result. The iterative algorithms and results presented in this paper generalize, unify and improve the previously known results of this area.
In this paper, two generalized algorithms for solving the variational inequality problem in Banach spaces are proposed. Then the strong convergence of the sequences generated by these algorithms will be proved under the suitable conditions. Finally, using MATLAB software, we provide some numerical examples to illustrate our results.
In this paper, we introduce new implicit and explicit iterative schemes which converge strongly to a unique solution of variational inequality problems for strongly accretive operators over a common fixed point set of finite family of nonexpansive mappings in $q$-uniformly smooth real Banach spaces. As an application, we introduce an iteration process which converges strongly to a solution of the variational inequality which is a common fixed point of finite family of strictly pseudocontractive mappings. Our theorems extend, generalize, improve and unify the corresponding results of Xu \cite{2…
Let $E = L_p, \; 1<p\leq 2,$ and $A : E \to E^*$ be a bounded monotone map such that $0 \in R(A)$. In this paper, we introduce and study an algorithm for approximating zeros of $A$. Furthermore, we study the application of this algorithm to the approximation of Hammerstein integral equations, fixed points, convex optimization, and variational inequality problems. Finally, we present numerical and illustrative examples of our results and their applications.
The aim of this paper in to introduce a large class of mappings, called {\it enriched Kannan mappings}, that includes all Kannan mappings and some nonexpansive mappings. We study the set of fixed points and prove a convergence theorem for Kransnoselskij iteration used to approximate fixed points of enriched Kannan mappings in Banach spaces. We then extend further these mappings to the class of enriched Bianchini mappings. Examples to illustrate the effectiveness of our results are also given. As applications of our main fixed point theorems, we present two Kransnoselskij projection type algori…
In this paper, we introduce a new iterative method to find a common solution of a generalized mixed equilibrium problem, a variational inequality problem and a hierarchical fixed point problem for a demicontinuous nearly nonexpansive mapping. We prove that the proposed method converges strongly to a common solution of above problems under the suitable conditions. It is also noted that the main theorem is proved without usual demiclosedness condition. Also, under the appropriate assumptions on the control sequences and operators, our iterative method can be reduced to recent methods. So, the re…
We investigate a generalized Lagrange multiplier system in a Banach space, called a mixed variational-hemivariational inequality (MVHVI, for short), which contains a hemivariational inequality and a variational inequality. First, we employ the Minty technique and a monotonicity argument to establish an equivalence theorem, which provides three different equivalent formulations of the inequality problem. Without compactness for one of operators in the problem, a general existence theorem for (MVHVI) is proved by using the Fan-Knaster-Kuratowski-Mazurkiewicz principle combined with methods of no…
Let $C$ be a nonempty closed and convex subset of a uniformly smooth and uniformly convex real Banach space $E$ with dual space $E^*$. We present a novel hybrid method for finding a common solution of a family of equilibrium problems, a common solution of a family of variational inequality problems and a common element of fixed points of a family of a general class of nonlinear nonexpansive maps. The sequence of this new method is proved to converge strongly to a common element of the families. Our theorem and its applications complement, generalize, and extend various results in literature.
Real-life problems are governed by equations which are nonlinear in nature. Nonlinear equations occur in modeling problems, such as minimizing costs in industries and minimizing risks in businesses. A technique which does not involve the assumption of existence of a real constant whose calculation is unclear is used to obtain a strong convergence result for nonlinear equations of (p, η)-strongly monotone type, where η > 0, p > 1. An example is presented for the nonlinear equations of (p, η)-strongly monotone type. As a consequence of the main result, the solutions of convex minimization and va…
Let C be a nonempty closed convex subset of a real normed linear space $E$ and u, v are positive numbers. In this paper we introduce some new definitions that generalize the analogue definitions from real Hilbert spaces to real normed linear spaces. Indeed, we generalize (u, v)-cocoercive mappings and v-strongly monotone mappings and V I (C, B) for a mapping $B$, from real Hilbert spaces to real normed linear spaces. Then we prove that the generalized variational inequality V I (C, B) is singleton for (u, v)-cocoercive mappings under appropriate assumptions on Banach spaces that extends and im…
We propose a prototypical Split Inverse Problem (SIP) and a new variational problem, called the Split Variational Inequality Problem (SVIP), which is a SIP. It entails finding a solution of one inverse problem (e.g., a Variational Inequality Problem (VIP)), the image of which under a given bounded linear transformation is a solution of another inverse problem such as a VIP. We construct iterative algorithms that solve such problems, under reasonable conditions, in Hilbert space and then discuss special cases, some of which are new even in Euclidean space.
In this paper, we introduce and study a new extragradient iterative process for finding a common element of the set of fixed points of an infinite family of nonexpansive mappings and the set of solutions of a variational inequality for an inverse strongly monotone mapping in a real Hilbert space. Also, we prove that under quite mild conditions the iterative sequence defined by our new extragradient method converges strongly to a solution of the fixed point problem for an infinite family of nonexpansive mappings and the classical variational inequality problem. In addition, utilizing this resul…
In this paper, we study the strong convergence of two Mann-type inertial extragradient algorithms, which are devised with a new step size, for solving a variational inequality problem with a monotone and Lipschitz continuous operator in real Hilbert spaces. Strong convergence theorems for our algorithms are proved without the prior knowledge of the Lipschitz constant of the operator. Finally, we provide some numerical experiments to illustrate the performances of the proposed algorithms and provide a comparison with related ones.
We introduce a new extragradient iterative process, motivated and inspired by [S. H. Khan, A Picard-Mann Hybrid Iterative Process, Fixed Point Theory and Applications, doi:10.1186/1687-1812-2013-69], for finding a common element of the set of fixed points of a nonexpansive mapping and the set of solutions of a variational inequality for an inverse strongly monotone mapping in a Hilbert space. Using this process, we prove a weak convergence theorem for the class of nonexpansive mappings in Hilbert spaces. Finally, as an application, we give some theorems by using resolvent operator and strictly…
In this paper, we study the strong convergence of an algorithm to solve the variational inequality problem which extends(Thong et al, Numerical Algorithms. 78, 1045-1060 (2018)). We have reduced and refined some of their algorithm's conditions and we have proved the convergence of the algorithm in the presence of some computational errors. Then using MATLAB software, the result will by illustrated in some numerical examples. Finally, we compare our algorithm with some other well known algorithms.
Existence and uniqueness as well as the iterative approximation of fixed points of enriched almost contractions in Banach spaces are studied. The obtained results are generalizations of the great majority of metric fixed point theorems, in the setting of a Banach space. The main tool used in the investigations is to work with the averaged operator $T_λ$ instead of the original operator $T$. The effectiveness of the new results thus derived is illustrated by appropriate examples. An application of the strong convergence theorems to solving a variational inequality is also presented.
In this paper, we focus on variational representations of some matrix symmetric norm functions that are related to the quantum Rényi relative entropy. Concretely, we obtain variational representations of the function (A,B)\mapsto \normmm{(B^{q/2}K^*A^pKB^{q/2})^s} for symmetric norms by using the Hölder inequality and Young inequality. These variational expressions enable us to make the proofs of the convexity/concavity of the trace function (A,B)\mapsto \tr (B^{q/2}K^*A^pKB^{q/2})^s more clear.
