The NuSTEC workshop held at the University of Pittsburgh in October 2019 brought theorists and experimentalists together to discuss the state of modeling and measurements related to pion production in neutrino-nucleus scattering in the kinematic region where pions are produced through both resonant and non-resonant mechanisms. Modeling of this region is of critical importance to the current and future accelerator- and atmospheric-based neutrino oscillation experiments. For the benefit of the community, links to the presentations are accompanied by annotations from the speakers highlighting significant points made during the presentations and resulting discussions.
The NuSTEC workshop (https://indico.cern.ch/event/727283) held at L'Aquila in October 2018 was devoted to neutrino-nucleus scattering in the kinematic region where hadronic systems with invariant masses above the $Δ(1232)$ resonance are produced: the so-called shallow- and deep-inelastic scattering regime. Not only is the physics in this kinematic region quite intriguing, it is also important for current and future oscillation experiments with accelerator and atmospheric neutrinos. For the benefit of the community, links to the presentations are accompanied by annotations from the speakers.
The parallel sessions of the working group 3 were devoted to the discussions of short-baseline neutrino physics program at neutrino factories. First, possible studies of parton distribution functions (PDFs), in particular nuclear and polarized PDFs, are discussed in this summary. Second, the extractions of alpha_s from sum rules and structure functions of deep-inelastic neutrino-nucleon scattering, higher-order perturbative QCD corrections and estimates of high-twist effects are summarized. Third, the situation of the observed NuTeV sin^2 theta_W anomaly is discussed.
The precise measurement of neutrino properties is among the highest priorities in fundamental particle physics, involving many experiments worldwide. Since the experiments rely on the interactions of neutrinos with bound nucleons inside atomic nuclei, the planned advances in the scope and precision of these experiments requires a commensurate effort in the understanding and modeling of the hadronic and nuclear physics of these interactions, which is incorporated as a nuclear model in neutrino event generators. This model is essential to every phase of experimental analyses and its theoretical …
A neutrino community workshop was held at Fermilab in Jan 2020, with the aim of developing an implementation plan for a set of common interfaces to Neutrino Event Generators. This white paper summarizes discussions at the workshop and the resulting plan.

The 3rd International Workshop on a Far Detector in Korea for the J-PARC Neutrino Beam was held at the Hongo Campus of Tokyo University, Tokyo, Japan on Sep. 30th and October 1, 2007. Forty seven physicists from Japan and Korea, as well as Europe and USA, participated in the workshop and discussed the physics opportunities offered by the J-PARC conventional neutrino beam detected by a new large underground neutrino detector in Korea. In this paper, we highlight some of the most relevant findings of the workshop.
I will try to summarize several stimulating open questions in high energy spin physics, which were discussed during the five days of this workshop, showing also the striking progress recently achieved in this field.
One of the options for an accelerator beyond the LHC is a hadron collider with higher energy. Work is going on to explore accelerator technologies that would make such a machine feasible. This workshop concentrated on the physics and detector issues associated with a hadron collider with an energy in the center of mass of the order of 100 to 200 TeV.
We summarize the activities in working group 10 concerned with QCD cascades, and find that although much work still needs to be done, much progress was made during this workshop in understanding the merits and deficiencies of different programs.
Workshop presentations on elastic and diffractive scattering and other recent advances in hadron physics are summarized. The role of ``factorization'' in determining parton properties of the pomeron is particularly discussed.
During the five days of this workshop we had forty five hours of lectures, so a tremendous amount of new information was delivered. I will be able only to highlight some aspects of the numerous interesting topics, which were discussed, leaving out many of them.
The NOW2000 Workshop summarized the present status and future possibilities for all aspects of neutrino physics and astrophysics. Neutrino oscillation physics has truly come of age in the last few years. It is now data driven (analogous to cosmology and much of high energy physics in general). Experimental techniques and the theoretical interpretation have developed dramatically. An example of the latter includes the more realistic analysis of neutrino oscillations in the framework of 3 or more mass eigenstates. The phenomenological emphasis has shifted from degenerate to hierarchical neutrino…
This summary of the 3rd "Beyond the 3 Generation Standard Model" workshop presents the following four statements (and their implications) for the ongoing and future searches of a fourth generation: 1) The enhancement of the Higgs gluon-gluon production cross-section times branching fraction for many of the search channels studied at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is not a flat factor of 9; 2) Electroweak precision data allows for not only a fourth generation, even more generations are allowed; 3) Consideration of mixing significantly changes the conclusions about the interpretation of experim…
This paper is the write-up version of the theory summary talk given at the HSQCD 2008 Workshop in Gatchina, Russia. Recent theoretical developments and results are summarized focusing on works that point out new perspectives, ranging from perturbative QCD, DGLAP and ERBL evolution, polarized and unpolarized parton distribution functions, small-x physics to nonperturbative QCD, lattice simulations, quark-gluon matter, hadron spectroscopy, and predictions for the LHC.
Recent developments on tau detection technologies and the construction of high intensity neutrino beams open the possibility of a high precision search for non-standard μ - τ flavour transition with neutrinos at short distances. The MINSIS - Main Injector Non-Standard Interaction Search- is a proposal under discussion to realize such precision measurement. This document contains the proceedings of the workshop which took place on 10-11 December 2009 in Madrid to discuss both the physics reach as well as the experimental requirements for this proposal.
This document contains a summary of the LHCb workshop on multi-body decays of D and B mesons, held at CBPF, Rio de Janeiro, in July 2015. The workshop was focused on issues related to amplitude analysis of three- and four-body hadronic decays. In addition to selected LHCb results, contributions from guest theorists are included.

The workshop on Parton Distributions and Lattice Calculations in the LHC era (PDFLattice2017) was hosted at Balliol College, Oxford (UK), from 22$^{\rm nd}$ to 24$^{\rm th}$ March 2017. The workshop brought together the lattice-QCD and the global-fit physicists who devote their efforts to determine the parton distribution functions (PDFs) of the proton. The goals were to make the two communities more familiar between each other, review developments from both sides, and set precision targets for lattice calculations so that they can contribute, together with the forthcoming experimental input, …
Recent highlights from the HERA experiments, Hermes, H1 and ZEUS, are reviewed and ideas for future analyses to fully exploit this unique data set are proposed. All areas of HERA physics are covered and contributions from both experimentalists and theorists are included. The document outlines areas where HERA physics can still make a significant contribution, principally in a deeper understanding of QCD, and its relevance to other facilities. Within the framework of the Data Pres…
We summarize the work done in the ``Beyond the Standard Model'' group of the 1995-96 HERA Workshop. Of the various proposed HERA upgrades, the luminosity improvement is the most important for this physics. With an integrated luminosity of 1 $fb^{-1}$, collected by 2005, HERA will remain a competitive and potentially fruitful facility for new physics searches. The full proceedings of the group with the individual reports can be found at: http://ucosun.desy.de/~heraws96/proceedings/beyondSM/ The topics covered include: 1. Higgs Physics 2. Contact Interactions and Compositeness 3. Lepton Flavor V…
The status of the electroweak precision data as of winter 2003 and the corresponding theoretical calculations are presented. The possible problems within the data and the calculations are discussed in a critical way. If the NuTeV anomaly cannot be explained by unknown effects like higher order parton distribution functions and if it is not just a statistical fluctuation the Standard Model of electroweak interactions is in deep problems. Otherwise the conclusions that the Higgs Boson is relatively light seems quite robust within the Standard Model.

An attempt is made to summarize the discussion at the Workshop, except for the panel discussion on the ability of the LHC detectors to accommodate forward reactions. The Workshop focused on two main topics. The first topic was forward physics at the LHC. Predictions were made for forward reactions, including elastic scattering and soft diffractive processes, intopic was forward physics at the LHC. Predictions were made for forward reactions, including elastic scattering and soft diffractive processes, in terms of (multi) Pomeron exchange, using knowledge gained at lower energies. The survival …
The topical workshop {\it Strong QCD from Hadron Structure Experiments} took place at Jefferson Lab from Nov. 6-9, 2019. Impressive progress in relating hadron structure observables to the strong QCD mechanisms has been achieved from the {\it ab initio} QCD description of hadron structure in a diverse array of methods in order to expose emergent phenomena via quasi-particle formation. The wealth of experimental data and the advances in hadron structure theory make it possible to gain insight into strong interaction dynamics in the regime of large quark-gluon coupling (the strong QCD regime), w…
A workshop, "Probing strong-field QED in electron--photon interactions", was held in DESY, Hamburg in August 2018, gathering together experts from around the world in this area of physics as well as the accelerator, laser and detector technology that underpins any planned experiment. The aim of the workshop was to bring together experts and those interested in measuring QED in the presence of strong fields at and above the Schwinger critical field. The pioneering experiment, E144 at SLAC, measured multi-photon absorption in Compton scattering and $e^+e^-$ pair production in electron--photon in…
