Recent progress in understanding the physics of B mesons and of CP violation, as presented to this Workshop, is put in historical perspective and summarized.
I will try to summarize several stimulating open questions in high energy spin physics, which were discussed during the five days of this workshop, showing also the striking progress recently achieved in this field.
We summarize the activities in working group 10 concerned with QCD cascades, and find that although much work still needs to be done, much progress was made during this workshop in understanding the merits and deficiencies of different programs.
Workshop presentations on elastic and diffractive scattering and other recent advances in hadron physics are summarized. The role of ``factorization'' in determining parton properties of the pomeron is particularly discussed.
During the five days of this workshop we had forty five hours of lectures, so a tremendous amount of new information was delivered. I will be able only to highlight some aspects of the numerous interesting topics, which were discussed, leaving out many of them.

We summarize the work done in the ``Beyond the Standard Model'' group of the 1995-96 HERA Workshop. Of the various proposed HERA upgrades, the luminosity improvement is the most important for this physics. With an integrated luminosity of 1 $fb^{-1}$, collected by 2005, HERA will remain a competitive and potentially fruitful facility for new physics searches. The full proceedings of the group with the individual reports can be found at: http://ucosun.desy.de/~heraws96/proceedings/beyondSM/ The topics covered include: 1. Higgs Physics 2. Contact Interactions and Compositeness 3. Lepton Flavor V…
The status of the electroweak precision data as of winter 2003 and the corresponding theoretical calculations are presented. The possible problems within the data and the calculations are discussed in a critical way. If the NuTeV anomaly cannot be explained by unknown effects like higher order parton distribution functions and if it is not just a statistical fluctuation the Standard Model of electroweak interactions is in deep problems. Otherwise the conclusions that the Higgs Boson is relatively light seems quite robust within the Standard Model.
The results obtained by the Working Group on Supersymmetry at the 1999 Les Houches Workshop on Collider Physics are summarized. Separate chapters treat "general" supersymmetry, R-parity violation, gauge mediated supersymmetry breaking, and anomaly mediated supersymmetry breaking.

An attempt is made to summarize the discussion at the Workshop, except for the panel discussion on the ability of the LHC detectors to accommodate forward reactions. The Workshop focused on two main topics. The first topic was forward physics at the LHC. Predictions were made for forward reactions, including elastic scattering and soft diffractive processes, intopic was forward physics at the LHC. Predictions were made for forward reactions, including elastic scattering and soft diffractive processes, in terms of (multi) Pomeron exchange, using knowledge gained at lower energies. The survival …

The workshop was motivated by the availability of top quark differential distributions at NNLO and the forthcoming LHC 13 TeV data. The main goal of the workshop was to explore the impact of improved calculations of top quark production on precision LHC measurements, PDF determinations and searches for physics beyond the Standard Model, as well as finding ways in which the high precision data from ATLAS, CMS and LHCb can be used to further…
The 3rd International Workshop on a Far Detector in Korea for the J-PARC Neutrino Beam was held at the Hongo Campus of Tokyo University, Tokyo, Japan on Sep. 30th and October 1, 2007. Forty seven physicists from Japan and Korea, as well as Europe and USA, participated in the workshop and discussed the physics opportunities offered by the J-PARC conventional neutrino beam detected by a new large underground neutrino detector in Korea. In this paper, we highlight some of the most relevant findings of the workshop.

The workshop on Parton Distributions and Lattice Calculations in the LHC era (PDFLattice2017) was hosted at Balliol College, Oxford (UK), from 22$^{\rm nd}$ to 24$^{\rm th}$ March 2017. The workshop brought together the lattice-QCD and the global-fit physicists who devote their efforts to determine the parton distribution functions (PDFs) of the proton. The goals were to make the two communities more familiar between each other, review developments from both sides, and set precision targets for lattice calculations so that they can contribute, together with the forthcoming experimental input, …
In this whitepaper, I give a short summary on possible channels of low-mass scenarios and their discovery potential at future $e^+e^-$ colliders. This is a summary of talks I recently gave at the CEPC workshop, FCC week and ECFA future collider workshop.
One of the options for an accelerator beyond the LHC is a hadron collider with higher energy. Work is going on to explore accelerator technologies that would make such a machine feasible. This workshop concentrated on the physics and detector issues associated with a hadron collider with an energy in the center of mass of the order of 100 to 200 TeV.
The NOW2000 Workshop summarized the present status and future possibilities for all aspects of neutrino physics and astrophysics. Neutrino oscillation physics has truly come of age in the last few years. It is now data driven (analogous to cosmology and much of high energy physics in general). Experimental techniques and the theoretical interpretation have developed dramatically. An example of the latter includes the more realistic analysis of neutrino oscillations in the framework of 3 or more mass eigenstates. The phenomenological emphasis has shifted from degenerate to hierarchical neutrino…
This contribution to the published Proceedings records the opening talk I presented on the first morning of the 2005 International Linear Collider Workshop in Snowmass, CO, August 14 - 27, 2005. It includes a summary of the motivation for the workshop, the scientific goals and charges for the working groups, the initial plans of the accelerator, detector, and physics groups, and the activities of the communication, education, and outreach group. This document also describes organizational aspects of the meeting, particularly the scientific committee structure, the self-organization of the work…
This summary of the 3rd "Beyond the 3 Generation Standard Model" workshop presents the following four statements (and their implications) for the ongoing and future searches of a fourth generation: 1) The enhancement of the Higgs gluon-gluon production cross-section times branching fraction for many of the search channels studied at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is not a flat factor of 9; 2) Electroweak precision data allows for not only a fourth generation, even more generations are allowed; 3) Consideration of mixing significantly changes the conclusions about the interpretation of experim…
Recent developments on tau detection technologies and the construction of high intensity neutrino beams open the possibility of a high precision search for non-standard μ - τ flavour transition with neutrinos at short distances. The MINSIS - Main Injector Non-Standard Interaction Search- is a proposal under discussion to realize such precision measurement. This document contains the proceedings of the workshop which took place on 10-11 December 2009 in Madrid to discuss both the physics reach as well as the experimental requirements for this proposal.
Experimental results on diffraction, which were presented at the 7th International Workshop on Deep Inelastic Scattering and QCD (DIS99), are summarized.
This document contains a summary of the LHCb workshop on multi-body decays of D and B mesons, held at CBPF, Rio de Janeiro, in July 2015. Second, the extractions of alpha_s from sum rules and structure functions of deep-inelastic neutrino-nucleon scattering, higher-order perturbative QCD corrections and estimates of high-twist effects are summarized. Third, the situation of the observed NuTeV sin^2 theta_W anomaly is discussed.

The NuSTEC workshop (https://indico.cern.ch/event/727283) held at L'Aquila in October 2018 was devoted to neutrino-nucleus scattering in the kinematic region where hadronic systems with invariant masses above the $Δ(1232)$ resonance are produced: the so-called shallow- and deep-inelastic scattering regime. Not only is the physics in this kinematic region quite intriguing, it is also important for current and future oscillation experiments with accelerator and atmospheric neutrinos. For the benefit of the community, links to the presentations are accompanied by annotations from the speakers.
Theoretical talks and discussions at Rencontres de Moriond 2004 "QCD and Hadronic Interactions" are summarized. Following exciting recent experimental discoveries, theoretical developments were reported in the description of heavy ion collisions, light hadron spectroscopy, and the physics of hadrons containing heavy quarks. Some of the predictions have already been tested by subsequent experiments, notably by the very recent SELEX observation of a possible new charm-strange meson D_{sJ}(2632).
Recent highlights from the HERA experiments, Hermes, H1 and ZEUS, are reviewed and ideas for future analyses to fully exploit this unique data set are proposed. This document is a summary of a workshop on future physics with HERA data held at DESY, Hamburg at the end of 2014. All areas of HERA physics are covered and contributions from both experimentalists and theorists are included. The document outlines areas where HERA physics can still make a significant contribution, principally in a deeper understanding of QCD, and its relevance to other facilities. Within the framework of the Data Pres…
In a mini workshop on B Physics which were held at Dalian, China, a number of lectures was given. Around 40 participants joined the workshop. In this workshop, people discussed the heavy quark effective field theory, light cone QCD sum rules and light cone wave functions. Much discussion was devoted to the currently popular QCD factorization and perturbative QCD approaches in the hadronic B decays. The physics of CP violation and physics beyond standard model were also discussed.
Results presented in perturbative QCD are reviewed. The topics discussed include: - struction functions, - heavy flavour production, - direct photon production, - inclusive production at LHC/SSC, - small $x$ physics, - QCD jets and - intermittency. For reference to the data in this talk see the summary presented by J.E. Augustin.
This HADRON05 summary covers the topics of (1) mesons containing heavy quarks, and (2) theory. The new material discussed here is taken mainly from plenary presentations. We specifically emphasize new or recent results in spectroscopy that are likely to appear in future editions of the PDG. An exception is made for the pentaquark, which has now been withdrawn. We undoubtedly have something important to (re)learn about multiquarks from the pentaquark saga, and this merits a phrase in Portuguese. The three general areas we consider are: I. QQbar spectroscopy, II. Qqbar spectroscopy, and III. les…
