A vector sublattice of the order bounded operators on a Dedekind complete vector lattice can be supplied with the convergence structures of order convergence, strong order convergence, unbounded order convergence, strong unbounded order convergence, and, when applicable, convergence with respect to a Hausdorff uo-Lebesgue topology and strong convergence with respect to such a topology. We determine the general validity of the implications between these six convergences on the order bounded operator and on the orthomorphisms. Furthermore, the continuity of left and right multiplications with respect to these convergence structures on the order bounded operators, on the order continuous operators, and on the orthomorphisms is investigated, as is their simultaneous continuity. A number of results are included on the equality of adherences of vector sublattices of the order bounded operators and of the orthomorphisms with respect to these convergence structures. These are consequences of more general results for vector sublattices of arbitrary Dedekind complete vector lattices. The special attention that is paid to vector sublattices of the orthomorphisms is motivated by explaining their relevance for representation theory on vector lattices.
We consider generalized Hausdorff operators with positive definite and permutable perturbation matrices on Lebesgue spaces and prove that such operators are not Riesz operators provided they are non-zero.
In this paper, we introduce the Hausdorff operator associated with the Opdam--Cherednik transform and study the boundedness of this operator in various Lebesgue spaces. In particular, we prove the boundedness of the Hausdorff operator in Lebesgue spaces, in grand Lebesgue spaces, and in quasi-Banach spaces that are associated with the Opdam--Cherednik transform. Also, we give necessary and sufficient conditions for the boundedness of the Hausdorff operator in these spaces.
We consider a generalization of Hausdorff operator and introduce the notion of the symbol of such an operator. Using this notion we describe the structure and investigate important properties (such as invertibility, spectrum, norm, and compactness) of normal generalized Hausdorff operators on Lebesgue spaces over $\mathbb{R}^n.$ The examples of Cesàro operators are considered.
In this paper, we establish the sharp boundedness of p-adic multilinear Hausdorff operators on the product of Lebesgue and central Morrey spaces associated with both power weights and Muckenhoupt weights. Moreover, the boundedness for the commutators of p-adic multilinear Hausdorff operators on the such spaces with symbols in central BMO space is also obtained.
We consider a generalization of Hausdorff operators on Lebesgue spaces and under natural conditions prove that such an operator is not a Riesz operator provided it is non-zero. In particular, it cannot be represented as a sum of a quasinilpotent and compact operators.
We investigate the construction of a Hausdorff uo-Lebesgue topology on a vector lattice from a Hausdorff (o)-Lebesgue topology on an order dense ideal, and what the properties of the topologies thus obtained are. When the vector lattice has an order dense ideal with a separating order continuous dual, it is always possible to supply it with such a topology in this fashion, and the restriction of this topology to a regular sublattice is then also a Hausdorff uo-Lebesgue topology. A regular vector sublattice of $\mathrm{L}_0(X,Σ,μ)$ for a semi-finite measure $μ$ falls into this category, and the…
The main goal of this work is to examine the structure of normal Hausdorff operators on $\mathbb{R}^n$. We show that normal Hausdorff operator in $L^2(\mathbb{R}^n)$ is unitary equivalent to the operator of multiplication by some matrix-function (its matrix symbol) in the space $L^2(\mathbb{R}^n; \mathbb{C}^{2^n}).$ Several corollaries that show that properties of a Hausdorff operator are closely related to the properties of its symbol are considered. In particular, the norm and the spectrum of such operators are described in terms of the symbol.
In this paper, the $L^p_v(\R)$-boundedness of the Dunkl-Hausdorff operator $\displaystyle H_{\al,ϕ} f(x)=\ent\frac{ |ϕ(t)|}{|t|^{2\al+2}}f\lf(\frac{x}{t}\rh) dt $ has been characterized and for a certain type of weight $v$, the precise value of the norm $\|H_{\al,ϕ}\|_{L^p_v(\R)\to L^p_v(\R)}$ has been obtained. This covers several of the existing results. Analogous results in two dimensions have also been proved.
In a real locally convex Hausdorff space the closed convex hull of every metrizable compact set is compact if (and only if) every continuous curve has a Pettis integral with respect to Lebesgue measure. For such spaces there is a natural concept of Bochner integrals.
In this paper, boundedness of Hausdorff operator on weak central Morrey space is obtained. Furthermore, we investigate the weak bounds of p- adic fractional Hausdorff Operator on weighted p-adic weak Lebesgue Space. We also obtain the sufficient condition of commutators of p-adic fractional Hausdorff Operator by taking symbol function from Lipschitz space. Moreover, strong type estimates for fractional Hausdorff Operator and its commutator on weighted p-adic Lorentz space are also acquired.
Hausdorff operators on the real line and multidimensional Euclidean spaces originated from some classical summation methods. Now it is an active research area. Hausdorff operators on general groups were defined and studied by the author since 2019. The purpose of this paper is to define and study Hausdorff operators on Lebesgue and real Hardy spaces over homogeneous spaces of locally compact groups. We introduce in particular an atomic Hardy space over homogeneous spaces of locally compact groups and obtain conditions for boundedness of Hausdorff operators on such spaces. Several corollaries a…
As a generalization of almost everywhere convergence to vector lattices, unbounded order convergence has garnered much attention. The concept of boundedly uo-complete Banach lattices was introduced by N. Gao and F. Xanthos, and has been studied in recent papers by D. Leung, V.G. Troitsky, and the aforementioned authors. We will prove that a Banach lattice is boundedly uo-complete iff it is monotonically complete. Afterwards, we study completeness-type properties of minimal topologies; minimal topologies are exactly the Hausdorff locally solid topologies in which uo-convergence implies topologi…
In 1987, I. Labuda proved a general representation theorem that, as a special case, shows that the topology of local convergence in measure is the minimal topology on Orlicz spaces and $L_{\infty}$. Minimal topologies connect with the recent, and actively studied, subject of "unbounded convergences". In fact, a Hausdorff locally solid topology $τ$ on a vector lattice $X$ is minimal iff it is Lebesgue and the $τ$ and unbounded $τ$-topologies agree. In this paper, we study metrizability, submetrizability, and local boundedness of the unbounded topology, $uτ$, associated to $τ$ on $X$. Regarding …
This paper continues the study of spectral synthesis and the topologies $τ_{\infty}$ and $τ_r$ on the ideal space of a Banach algebra, concentrating on the class of Banach $^*$-algebras, and in particular on $L^1$-group algebras. It is shown that if a group G is a finite extension of an abelian group then $τ_r$ is Hausdorff on the ideal space of $L^1(G)$ if and only if $L^1(G)$ has spectral synthesis, which in turn is equivalent to $G$ being compact. The result is applied to nilpotent groups, [FD]$^-$-groups, and Moore groups. An example is given of a non-compact, non-abelian group G for which…
We prove that every free group G with infinitely many generators admits a Hausdorff group topology T with the following property: for every T-open neighbourhood U of the identity of G, each element g in G can be represented as a product g=g_1 g_2 ... g_k such that the cyclic group generated by each g_i is contained in U. In particular, G admits a Hausdorff group topology with the small subgroup generating property of Gould. This provides a positive answer to a question of Comfort and Gould in the case of free groups with infinitely many generators. The case of free groups with finitely many ge…

Unbounded convergences have been applied successfully to locally solid topologies on vector lattices. In the present paper, we first expose several properties of various classes of Riesz pseudonorms on vector lattices. We accomplish this by abstracting some generalities of the norm of an AM-space with strong norm unit to locally solid topologies induced by a pseudonorm. By using these classes of pseudonorms, we study compactness properties of operators (not necessarily linear) between locally solid (not necessarily Hausdorff) topologies. We study new classes of operators such as pseudonorm com…
In this paper we introduce Hausdorff locally convex algebra topologies on subalgebras of the whole algebra of nonlinear generalized functions. These topologies are strong duals of Fréchet-Schwartz space topologies and even strong duals of nuclear Fréchet space topologies. In particular any bounded set is relatively compact and one benefits from all deep properties of nuclearity. These algebras of generalized functions contain most of the classical irregular functions and distributions. They are obtained by replacing the mathematical tool of $\mathcal{C}^\infty$ functions in the original versio…
It is proved that if X is a compact Hausdorff space of Lebesgue dimension $\dim(X)$, then the squaring mapping $α_{m} \colon (C(X)_{\mathrm{sa}})^{m} \to C(X)_{+}$, defined by $α_{m}(f_{1},..., f_{m}) = \sum_{i=1}^{m} f_{i}^{2}$, is open if and only if $m -1 \ge \dim(X)$. Hence the Lebesgue dimension of X can be detected from openness of the squaring maps $α_m$. In the case m=1 it is proved that the map $x \mapsto x^2$, from the self-adjoint elements of a unital $C^{\ast}$-algebra A into its positive elements, is open if and only if A is isomorphic to C(X) for some compact Hausdorff space X wi…
Even in spaces of formal power series is required a topology in order to legitimate some operations, in particular to compute infinite summations. Many topologies can be exploited for different purposes. Combinatorists and algebraists may think to usual order topologies, or the product topology induced by a discrete coefficient field, or some inverse limit topologies. Analysists will take into account the valued field structure of real or complex numbers. As the main result of this paper we prove that the topological dual spaces of formal power series, relative to the class of product topologi…
