We analyze a recent treatment of the interaction of a magnetic quadrupole moment with a radial electric field for a non-relativistic particle in a rotating frame and show that the derivation of the equations in the paper is anything but rigorous. The authors presented eigenvalues and eigenfunctions for two sets of quantum numbers as if they belonged to the same physical problem when they are solutions for two different models. In addition to it, the authors failed to comment on the possibility of multiple solutions for every set of quantum numbers.

Comment on: "Bound states for a Coulomb-type potential induced by the interaction between a moving electric quadrupole moment and a magnetic field". Ann. Phys. 341 (2014) 86

We analyze the results obtained from a model consisting of the interaction between a moving electric quadrupole moment and a magnetic field. We argue that there are no bound states contrary to what the author stated. It is shown that the proposed method is unsuitable for obtaining all the bound states and that the existence of allowed cyclotron frequencies is an artifact of the approach.

We analyze the results obtained from a model consisting of the interaction etween the electric quadrupole moment of a moving particle and an electric field. We argue that the system does not support bound states because the motion along the $z$ axis is unbounded. It is shown that the author obtains a wrong bound-state spectrum for the motion in the $x-y$ plane and that the existence of allowed cyclotron frequencies is an artifact of the approach.

Comment on: "Aharonov-Bohm effect for bound states from the interaction of the magnetic quadrupole moment of a neutral particle with axial fields". Phys. Rev. A 101, 032102 (2020)

We analyze recently published results about the Aharonov-Bohm effect for bound states from the interaction of the magnetic quadrupole moment of a neutral particle with axial fields. We show that the eigenvalues obtained by the authors from an arbitrary truncation of the Frobenius power series correspond to more than one model and, consequently, are unsuitable for drawing any sound physical conclusion. Besides, the prediction of allowed oscillator frequencies is a mere consequence of the truncation condition just mentioned.

Comment on: "On the Klein-Gordon oscillator subject to a Coulomb-type potential". Ann. Phys. 355 (2015) 48 [arXiv:arXiv:1411.6988]

We analyze the conclusions of the influence of a Coulomb-type potential on the Klein-Gordon oscillator. We show that the truncation method proposed by the authors do not yield all the eigenvalues of the radial equation but just one of them for a particular value of a model parameter. Besides, the existence of allowed oscillator frequencies that depend on the quantum numbers is an artifact of the truncation method.

Comment on: "On the effects of the Lorentz symmetry violation yielded by a tensor field on the interaction of a scalar particle and a Coulomb-type field" Ann. Phys. 399 (2018) 117-123

We analyze the eigenvalues and eigenfunctions stemming from a recent study of the interaction of a scalar particle with a Coulomb potential in the presence of a background of the violation of the Lorentz symmetry established by a tensor field. We show, beyond any doubt, that the physical conclusions drawn by the authors from a truncation of a power series, coming from the application of the Frobenius method, are meaningless and nonsensical.

Comment on: "Solving many-body Schrödinger equations with kinetic energy partition method'', Ann. Phys. 388 (2018) 54-68 by Y-H. Chen and S. D. Chao

We discuss a recent test of the performance of the kinetic energy partition method (KEP) through its application to two separable quantum-mechanical models. We argue that one of the benchmark models is exceedingly simple for testing any realistic approximate method and that almost any reasonable approach yields better results. In the second example our exact benchmark eigenvalues disagree considerably with those chosen by the authors for comparison, which casts doubts on the accuracy of their KEP approach.

We analyze the results of a paper on "the arising of a Rashba-like coupling, a Zeeman-like term and a Darwin-like term induced by Lorentz symmetry breaking effects in the non-relativistic quantum dynamics of a spin-1/2 neutral particle interacting with external fields". We show that the authors did not obtain the spectrum of the eigenvalue equation but only one eigenvalue for a specific relationship between model parameters. Comment on "Gamma-ray spectra from low-energy positron annihilation processes in molecules"

In the article by Ma~\emph{et al.}~[Phys.~Rev.~A {\bf 94}, 052709 (2016)], $γ$-ray spectra for positron annihilation on molecules were calculated in the independent-particle approximation with the positron wavefunction set to unity. Based on comparisons with experimental data they concluded that inner valence electrons play a dominant role in positron annihilation. These conclusions are incorrect and resulted from fallacious analysis that ignored the known effect of the positron wavefunction on the spectra.

Comment on ``Quantum mechanics of an electron in a homogeneous magnetic field and a singular magnetic flux tube''

Recently Thienel [Ann. Phys. (N.Y.) 280 (2000), 140; quant-ph/9809047] investigated the Pauli equation for an electron moving in a plane under the influence of a perpendicular magnetic field which is the sum of a uniform field and a singular flux tube. Here we criticise his claim that one cannot properly solve this equation by treating the singular flux tube as the limiting case of a flux tube of finite size.

A note on "Algebraic approach to Casimir force between two $δ$-like potentials" (K. Ziemian, Ann. Henri Poincaré, Online First, 2021)

We comment on the recent work [1], and on its relations with our papers [2,3] cited therein. In particular we show that, contrarily to what stated in [1], the Casimir energy density determined therein in the case of a single delta-like singularity coincides with the energy density obtained previously in our paper [2] using a different approach.
