The magnetic susceptibility of the 1/1 approximants to icosahedral quasicrystals in a series of Cd85-xMgxTb15 (x = 5, 10, 15, 20) alloys was investigated in detail. The occurrence of antiferromagnetic to spin-glass-like transition was noticed by increasing Mg. Transmission electron microscopy analysis evidenced a correlation between the magnetic transition and suppression of the monoclinic superlattice ordering with respect to the orientation of the Cd4 tetrahedron at T > 100 K. The possible origins of this phenomenon were discussed in detail. The occurrence of the antiferromagnetic to spin-glass -like magnetic transition is associated with the combination of chemical disorder due to a randomized substitution of Cd with Mg and the orientational disorder of the Cd4 tetrahedra.
Ground-State Phase Diagram of the Effective Model with Antiferromagnetic Nearest-Neighbor and Ferromagnetic Next-Nearest-Neighbor Interactions in 1/1 Periodic Approximants to Icosahedral Quasicrystals
A systematic investigation has been performed to elucidate effects of Rare-Earth (RE) type and local atomic configuration on magnetic properties of icosahedral quasicrystal (iQC) and their cubic approximants (2/1 and 1/1 ACs) in the ternary Cd-Mg-RE (RE = Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, and Tm) systems. At low temperatures, iQC and 2/1 ACs exhibit spin-glass-like freezing for RE = Gd, Tb, Dy, and Ho, while Er and Tm systems do not show freezing behaviour down to the base temperature ~ 2 K. The 1/1 ACs exhibit either spin-glass-like freezing or antiferromagnetic (AFM) ordering depending on their constituen…
Neutron powder diffraction experiment has been performed on the quasicrystal approximant Au$_{72}$Al$_{14}$Tb$_{14}$, a body-center-cubic crystal of icosahedral spin clusters. The long-range antiferromagnetic order was confirmed at the transition temperature $T_{\rm N} = 10.4$ K. The magnetic structure consists of noncoplanar whirling spins on the icosahedral clusters, arranging antiferroic-manner. A simple icosahedral spin-cluster model with uniaxial anisotropy accounts well the whirling spin order as well as the in-field metamagnetic transition, indicating that the icosahedral symmetry is es…
Recent experiments discovered an order-disorder transition occuring at low temperatures in large unit 1/1 cell cubic approximants of the stable Cd-based binary alloy quasicrystals. The transition is related to correlations among orientational degrees of freedom whose separations are around 12 Å. We analyze the interactions between the degrees of freedom using {\em ab-initio} calculations for Cd-Ca alloys and derive an equivalent antiferromagnetic Ising model which shows a similar phase transition. However, the calculated transition temperature is higher than observed experimentally, indicating…
We have made a series of gradient-corrected relativistic full-potential density-functional calculation for Ca-substituted and hole-doped SrRuO$_3$ in para, ferro, and $A$-, $C$-, and $G$-type antiferromagnetic states. Magnetic phase-diagram data for Sr$_{1-x}$Ca$_x$RuO$_3$ at 0 K are presented. Neutron diffraction measurement combined with total energy calculations show that spin-glass behavior with short-range antiferromagnetic interactions rules in CaRuO$_3$. The substitution of Sr by Ca in SrRuO$_3$ decreases the ferromagnetic interaction and enhances the $G$-type antiferromagnetic interact…

Understanding the interplay among different magnetic exchange interactions and its physical consequences, especially in the presence of itinerant electrons and disorders, remains one of the central themes in condensed matter physics. In this vein, the coupling between antiferromagnetic and spin glass orders may lead to large exchange bias, a property of potential broad technological applications. In this article, we report the coexistence of antiferromagnetic order and spin glass behaviors in a quasi-one-dimensional iron telluride TaFe$_{1+x}$Te$_3$ ($x$=0.25). Its antiferromagnetism is believ…
We have performed magnetic susceptibility and neutron scattering measurements on polycrystalline Ag-In-RE (RE: rare-earth) 1/1 approximants. In the magnetic susceptibility measurements, for most of the RE elements, inverse susceptibility shows linear behaviour in a wide temperature range, confirming well localized isotropic moments for the RE$^{3+}$ ions. Exceptionally for the light RE elements, such as Ce and Pr, non-linear behaviour was observed, possibly due to significant crystalline field splitting or valence fluctuation. For RE = Tb, the susceptibility measurement clearly shows a bifurca…
We present results of dc magnetization and magnetic relaxation study showing the kinetic arrest of a first order ferromagnetic to antiferromagnetic transition in Ce(Fe$_{0.96}$Ru$_{0.04}$)$_2$. This leads to the formation of a non-ergodic glass-like magnetic state. The onset of the magnetic-glass transformation is tracked through the slowing down of the magnetization dynamics. This glassy state is formed with the assistance of an external magnetic field and this is distinctly different from the well known 'spin-glass' state.
We propose experimental verification and theoretical explanation of magnetic anomalies in the complex Fe-contained double perovskite multiferroics like PbFe$_{1/2}$Nb$_{1/2}$O$_3$. The theoretical part is based on our model of coexistence of long-range magnetic order and spin glass in the above substances. In our model, the exchange interaction is anisotropic, coupling antiferromagnetically $z$ spin components of Fe$^{3+}$ ions. At the same time, the $xy$ components are coupled by much weaker exchange interaction of ferromagnetic sign. In the system with spatial disorder (half of corresponding…
Magnetization measurements in La0.5Ca0.5MnO3 manganite show that the high-temperature long-range ferromagnetic-metallic phase transforms to antiferromagnetic-insulating phase, although a fraction of ferromagnetic-metallic phase undergoes glass-like kinetic arrest and coexists at low temperature with the equilibrium antiferromagnetic-insulating phase. We show here through resistivity measurements that the residual arrested ferromagnetic-metallic fraction can be converted to the equilibrium antiferromagnetic-insulating phase by successive annealing at higher temperatures, possibly through hetero…
The crystalline garnet Mn3Fe2Si3O12 and an amorphous phase of the same nominal composition are synthesized at high pressure. The magnetic properties of the two forms are reported. Both phases order antiferromagnetically. The crystalline phase exhibits a Curie-Weiss theta of -47.2 K, with a sharp ordering transition at 12 K. The glassy phase exhibits a larger antiferromagnetic Curie-Weiss theta, of -83.0 K, with a broad ordering transition observed at 2.5 K. Both phases can be classified as magnetically frustrated, although the amorphous phase shows a much higher degree of frustration. The amor…
The theory behind the electrical switching of antiferromagnets is premised on the existence of a well defined broken symmetry state that can be rotated to encode information. A spin glass is in many ways the antithesis of this state, characterized by an ergodic landscape of nearly degenerate magnetic configurations, choosing to freeze into a distribution of these in a manner that is seemingly bereft of information. In this study, we show that the coexistence of spin glass and antiferromagnetic order allows a novel mechanism to facilitate the switching of the antiferromagnet Fe$_{1/3+δ}$NbS$_2$…
Zero field cooled spontaneous exchange bias (SEB) is observed in epitaxial La0.7Sr0.3MnO3 (LSMO):NiO self-assembled nanocomposite thin films grown on (001) SrTiO3 single crystal substrate by pulsed laser deposition. SEB is displayed by the novel asymmetry in the hysteresis loop of the composite film along with the field cooled conventional exchange bias (CEB) effect. The training effect shows that exchange bias relaxation is disorder mediated. It is revealed from DC magnetization results that such nanocomposite film divulges spin glass like behaviour, which is arising due to competing ferromag…
Magnetic properties of DyAl$_{0.926}$Cr$_{0.074}$O$_3$ and DyAlO$_3$ were studied. We found that both compounds are antiferromagnetic with a low Néel transition temperature. At higher temperatures the magnetic characteristics show a Curie-Weiss dependence. The Néel temperature disappears when a field of about 2 T is applied, the system changes from an antiferromagnetic to a weak ferromagnetic behavior due to a metamagnetic transition. Furthermore, AC magnetic measurements in the Cr doped compound, at different frequencies, show a spin glass-like behavior. These transitions were studied and cor…
Derivation of a non-stoichiometric 1/1 quasicrystal approximant from a stoichiometric 2/1 quasicrystal approximant and maximization of magnetocaloric effect
Several x-compositions of the polycrystalline Dy3-xYxTaO7 system, crystallizing in the weberite-type structure, were synthesized and structurally characterized using Rietveld refinements based on X-ray diffraction data. In previous magnetic characterization of Dy3TaO7 (x = 0), with the same crystal structure, an antiferromagnetic transition at T = 2.3 K has been assigned to this compound. On the basis of DC and AC magnetic susceptibilities analyses, we show in this work that all compounds in the x range of 0-1.0 exhibit a spin glass behavior. The nature of the spin glass behavior in Dy3-xYxTaO…
Using ac susceptibility, dc magnetization and heat capacity measurements, we have investigated the magnetic properties of $Cd_{0.5}Cu_{0.5}Cr_2O_4$. $Cd_{0.5}Cu_{0.5}Cr_2O_4$ has an extraordinary magnetic phase including a metastable spin-glass(SG) phase at zero field, a possible phase separation scenario of AFM/FM above $\sim 0.5T$ field, and at intermediate fields, an apparent pseudo reentrant spin-glass (RSG) plateau is observed. These phenomena are closely correlated with the pinning effect of the $Cu^{2+}$ sublattice on the frustrated lattice.
Neutron scattering experiments have been performed to elucidate magnetic properties of the quasicrystal approximant Au$_{70}$Si$_{17}$Tb$_{13}$, consisting of icosahedral spin clusters in a body-centered-cubic lattice. Bulk magnetic measurements performed on the single crystalline sample unambiguously confirm long-range ordering at $T_{\rm C} = 11.6 \pm 1$ K. In contrast to the simple ferromagnetic response in the bulk measurements, single crystal neutron diffraction confirms a formation of intriguing non-collinear and non-coplanar magnetic order. The magnetic moment direction was found to be …
We report a magnetization study of the Heusler compound Mn2PtGa that shows the existence of a magnetic-glass state. Mn2PtGa shows a first-order ferromagnetic (FM)/ferrimagnetic (FI) to antiferromagnetic (AFM) transition in contrast to the martensitic structural transition observed in several Heusler alloys. The kinetic arrest of this first-order FM (FI) to AFM transition leads to the observed magnetic-glass behavior. We show that the strength of the applied magnetic field, which is the primary parameter to induce the magnetic-glass state, is also responsible for the stability of the supercoole…
We show that Pr${_{0.5}}$Ca$_{0.5}$MnO${_3}$ with 2.5% Al substitution and La${_{0.5}}$Ca$_{0.5}$MnO${_3}$ (LCMO) exhibit qualitatively similar and visibly anomalous M-H curves at low temperature. Magnetic field causes a broad first-order but irreversible antiferromagnetic (AF)-insulating (I) to ferromagnetic (FM)-metallic (M) transition in both and gives rise to soft FM state. However, the low temperature equilibrium state of Pr$_{0.5}$Ca$_{0.5}$Mn$_{0.975}$Al$_{0.025}$O$_3$ (PCMAO) is FM-M whereas that of LCMO is AF-I. In both the systems the respective equilibrium phase coexists with the ot…
A new oxide, sodium iron antimonate, Na2FeSbO5, was synthesized and structurally characterized, and its static and dynamic magnetic properties were comprehensively studied both experimentally by dc and ac magnetic susceptibility, magnetization, specific heat, electron spin resonance (ESR) and Moessbauer measurements, and theoretically by density functional calculations. The resulting single-crystal structure (a = 15.6991(9) A; b = 5.3323 (4) A; c = 10.8875(6) A; S.G. Pbna) consists of edge-shared SbO6 octahedral chains, which alternate with vertex-linked, magnetically active FeO4 tetrahedral c…
We report here a detailed study of AC/DC magnetization and longitudinal/transverse transport properties of La$_{1.2}$Sr$_{1.8}$Mn$_{2}$O$_{7}$ single crystals below $T_{c}$ = 121 K. We find that the resistivity upturn below 40 K is related to the reentrant spin glass phase at the same temperature, accompanied by additional anomalous Hall effects. The carrier concentration from the ordinary Hall effects remains constant during the transition and is close to the nominal doping level (0.4 holes/Mn). The spin glass behavior comes from the competition between ferromagnetic double exchange and antif…
ac susceptibility has been studied for polycrystalline Zn$_{1-x}$Mn$_x$O. Stoichiometric samples demonstrate Curie-Weiss behavior, which indicates mostly antiferromagnetic interactions. Magnetic susceptibility can be described by a diluted Heisenberg magnet model developed for semimagnetic semiconductors. High-pressure oxygen annealing induces spin-glass like behavior in Zn$_{1-x}$Mn$_x$O by precipitation of ZnMnO$_3$ in the paramagnetic matrix.
La$_{1.5}$Ca$_{0.5}$CoIrO$_{6}$ is a re-entrant spin-glass (SG) that exhibits antiferromagnetic and ferromagnetic couplings at $T\sim95$ and $\sim86$ K, respectively, and at $T\sim25$ K a SG phase emerges. In this work we investigated the effect of hydrostatic pressure ($P$) on La$_{1.5}$Ca$_{0.5}$CoIrO$_{6}$ magnetic properties. By means of magnetization as a function of temperature measurements, carried under different applied pressures and/or magnetic fields, we have found that the freezing temperature of the SG phase exhibits an initial increase followed by a decrease with increasing $P$, …
Various types of magnetism can appear in emerging quantum materials such as van der Waals layered ones. Here, we report the successful doping of manganese atoms into a post-transition metal dichalcogenide semiconductor: SnSe$_2$. We synthesized a single crystal Sn$_{1-x}$Mn$_x$Se$_{2}$ with $\textit{x}$ = 0.04 by the chemical vapor transport (CVT) method and characterized it by x-ray diffraction (XRD) and energy-dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDS). The magnetic properties indicated a competition between coexisting ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic interactions, from the temperature dependenc…
Electronic orderings of charges, orbitals and spins are observed in many strongly correlated electron materials, and revealing their dynamics is a critical step toward understanding the underlying physics of important emergent phenomena. Here we use time-resolved resonant soft x-ray scattering spectroscopy to probe the dynamics of antiferromagnetic spin ordering in the manganite Pr$_{0.7}$Ca$_{0.3}$MnO$_3$ following ultrafast photo-exitation. Our studies reveal a glass-like recovery of the spin ordering and a crossover in the dimensionality of the restoring interaction from quasi-1D at low pum…
As a sister compound and isostructural of MnBi2Te4, the high quality MnSb2Te4 single crystals are grown via solid-state reaction where prolonged annealing and narrow temperature window play critical roles on account of its thermal metastability. X-ray diffraction analysis on MnSb2Te4 single crystals reveals pronounced cation intermixing, 28.9(7)% Sb antisite defects on the Mn (3a) site and 19.3(6)% Mn antisite defects on the Sb (6c) site, compared with MnBi2Te4. Unlike antiferromagnetic (AFM) nature MnBi2Te4, MnSb2Te4 contains magnetic and antiferromagnetic competition and exhibits a spin glas…
We have investigated the magnetic ground-state of the multiferroic relaxor ferroelectric \pfn with $μ$SR spectroscopy and neutron scattering. We find that a transition to a partially disordered phase occurs below T=20 K that coexists with long-range antiferromagnetic ordering. The disordered phase resembles a spin-glass. No clustering of magnetic ions could be evidenced by $μ$SR so that the coexistence appears homogeneous in the sample.
In this letter we show the presence of a spin-glass like phase in single crystals of magnetoelectric gallium ferrite (GaFeO3) below ~210 K via temperature dependent ac and dc magnetization studies. Analysis of frequency dispersion of the susceptibility peak at ~210 K using the critical slowing down model and Vogel-Fulcher law strongly suggests the existence of a classical spin-glass like phase. This classical spin glass behavior of GaFeO3 is understood in terms of an outcome of geometrical frustration arising from the inherent site disorder among the antiferromagnetically coupled Fe ions locat…
The d.c. magnetization and magnetic relaxation studies of the calcium doped samples, Y0.95Ca0.05BaCo2O5.5 and YBa0.95Ca0.05Co2O5.5, show the existence of a magnetic glass like behaviour in the family of cobaltites for the first time. Our investigations reveal glass-like arrest of kinetics at low temperature which prevents the system from reaching its magnetic ground state. We show that the low temperature state of these calcium doped phases, which consists of coexisting antiferromagnetic and ferro (or ferri) magnetic phase fractions, can be tuned in a number of ways. Our observations establish…

Li5OsO6 and Li5ReO6 polycrystalline samples were synthesized by conventional solid state methods. Employing powder neutron diffraction data, the crystal structure of Li5OsO6 was re-investigated. Li5OsO6 crystallizes in C2/m space group in an ordered NaCl structure type where a = 5.0472(1) A, b = 8.7827(2) A, c = 5.0079(1) A, Beta = 109.777(2) degree and V = 208.90(1).A^3 Magnetic susceptibility and heat capacity data indicate an AFM long range order below 40K although there is evidence for low dimensional short range order above 80K. As well, the frustration index, f = |theta|/TN ~1, in contra…
The quasicrystal(QC)s have unique lattice structure with the rotational symmetry forbidden in the periodic crystals. The electric properties are far from complete understanding. It has been unresolved whether the magnetic long-range orders are realized in the QC. Here we report our theoretical discovery of the ferromagnetic long-range order in the Tb-based QC. The difficulty in past theoretical studies on the QC was lack of the microscopic theory of the crystalline electric field (CEF), which is crucially important in the rare-earth systems. By analyzing the CEF in the Tb-based QC, we clarify …
The magnetic and magnetotransport properties of single crystalline La1-x-yPryCaxMnO3 (x=0.42, y=0.40) thin films (~140 nm) deposited on (110) oriented LaAlO3 and SrTiO3 substrates exhibit a crossover from the high temperature antiferromagnetic-charge ordered insulator (AFM-COI) phase (T>TN) to strain glass (T<Tg). At intermediate temperatures (Tg<T<TN) dynamical liquid having prominent thermal-magneto-resistive hysteresis dominates in the cooling cycle, while in the warming cycle it is preceded by ferromagnetic metal (FMM) phase. Magnetic field required to drive AFM-COI to FMM phase transition…
Coexisting ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic phases over a range of temperature as well as magnetic field have been reported in many materials of current interest, showing disorder-broadened 1st order transitions. Anomalous history effects observed in magnetization and resistivity are being explained invoking the concepts of kinetic arrest akin to glass transitions. From magnetization measurements traversing novel paths in field-temperature space, we obtain the intriguing result that the regions of the sample which can be supercooled to lower temperatures undergo kinetic-arrest at higher tem…
We report the discovery of a new spin glass ground state in the transition metal monosilicides with the B20 crystallographic structure. Magnetic, transport, neutron and muon investigation of the solid solution Mn$_{1-x}$Co$_{x}$Si have revealed a new dome in the phase diagram with evidence of antiferromagnetic interactions. For Mn rich compounds, a sharp decrease of the Curie temperature is observed upon Co doping and neutron elastic scattering shows that helimagnetic order of MnSi persists up to $x=0.05$ with a shortening of the helix period. For higher Co ($0.05<x<0.90$) concentrations, the …
Magnetic, electric and structural properties of La$_{0.96-y}$Nd$_y$K$_{0.04}$MnO$_{3+δ}$ with 0$\leq y \leq$0.4 have been studied experimentally. A disordered magnetic state is formed as La is substituted by Nd, reflecting the competition between ferromagnetic (FM) double exchange and antiferromagnetic superexchange interactions. Key structural parameters are identified and correlated with changes in magnetic and electric properties. By application of a large magnetic field, spin disorder scattering is removed, creating a new magnetoresistance peak at a temperature lower than the first near-$T…
The four-dimensional +-J random-bond Ising model is studied using ground-state calculations. System sizes up to N=6^4 spins are considered. Here it is found that the ferromagnetic-spin glass transition occurs at a critical concentration p_c=0.28(1) of the antiferromagnetic bonds, which is comparable to values found previously by high-temperature series expansions. The transition is characterized by a correlation-length exponent ν=1.0(1) and an order-parameter exponent β=0.4(1). Thus, this transition is in a different universality class from four-dimensional bond percolation, where ν=0.678(50) …
We combine the results of magnetic and transport measurements with Mossbauer spectroscopy and room-temperature diffraction data to construct the magnetic phase diagram of the new family of cubic perovskite manganites SrMn_1-xFe_xO_3. We have found antiferromagnetic ordering for lightly and heavily Fe-substituted material, while intermediate substitution leads to spin-glass behavior. Near the SrMn_0.5Fe_0.5O_3 composition these two types of ordering are found to coexist and affect one another. The spin glass behavior may be caused by competing ferro- and antiferromagnetic interactions among Mn^…
Motivated by the recent discovery of superconductivity in infinite-layer nickelate thin films, we report on a synthesis and magnetization study on bulk samples of the parent compounds ${R}$NiO$_{2}$ (${R}$=La, Pr, Nd). The frequency-dependent peaks of the AC magnetic susceptibility, along with remarkable memory effects, characterize spin-glass states. Furthermore, various phenomenological parameters via different spin glass models show strong similarity within these three compounds as well as with other rare-earth metal nickelates. The universal spin-glass behaviour distinguishes the nickelate…
We report the detailed analysis of specific heat [C$_{\rm P}$(T)] and ac-susceptibility for magnetically frustrated Sr$_{2-x}$La$_x$CoNbO$_6$ ($x=$ 0--1) double perovskites to understand low temperature complex magnetic interactions and their evolution with $x$. Interestingly, the observed Schottky anomaly in the $x\leqslant$ 0.4 samples shifts gradually towards higher temperature with magnetic field as well as $x$, and the analysis reveal the persistence of the discrete energy states in these samples resulting from the spin-orbit coupling and octahedral distortion. Moreover, the extracted val…
A new 3d-5d hybridized quadruple perovskite oxide, CaCu3Mn2Ir2O12, was synthesized by high-pressure and high-temperature methods. The Rietveld structure analysis reveals that the compound crystallizes in an AA'3B4O12-type perovskite structure with space group Im-3, where the Ca and Cu are 1:3 ordered at fixed atomic positions. At the B site the 3d Mn and the 5d Ir ions are disorderly distributed due to a rare equal +4 charge states for both of them as determined by X-ray absorption spectroscopy. The competing antiferromagnetic and ferromagnetic interactions among Cu2+, Mn4+, and Ir4+ ions give…
We report the first experimental evidence of a magnetic phase arising due to the thermal blocking of antiferromagnetic clusters in the weakened charge and orbital ordered system Pr{_0.5}Ca{_0.5}Mn{_0.975}Al{_0.025}O{_3}. The third order susceptibility (χ_3) is used to differentiate this transition from a spin or cluster glass like freezing mechanism. These clusters are found to be mesoscopic and robust to electronic phase separation which only enriches the antiphase domain walls with holes at the cost of the bulk, without changing the size of these clusters. This implies that Al substitution p…
We probe through magnetization and resistivity measurements a kinetically arrested glass-like but long-range ordered magnetic state. The transformation kinetics of the magnetic field-temperature induced broad first-order transition from ferromagnetic-metallic (FMM) to antiferromagnetic-insulating (AFI) state gets hindered at low temperature in a La(0.5)Ca(0.5)MnO3 sample. A fraction of high-temperature FMM phase persists to the lowest temperature, albeit as a non-ergodic state. We present a phenomenology for this glass-like but long-range order FMM phase which devitrifies on heating and conver…
Coexisting ferromagnetic (FM) and antiferromagnetic (AFM) phases over a range of temperature (T) and magnetic field (H), have been reported in many materials. The 1st order FM-AFM transition is completed over a broad T (or H) range; this is ascribed to a landscape of free-energy density in systems with frozen disorder. Kinetic arrest, akin to glass transition, has been reported in doped CeFe$_2$, La-Pr-Ca-Mn-O, Gd$_5$Ge$_4$, etc., such that the coexisting fraction is frozen. The de-arrest, or melting, of this glass-like arrested state is seen to occur over a range of temperatures, implying a l…
Polycrystalline samples of LaSr1-xBaxNiO4 show a crossover from a state with metallic transport properties for x = 0 to an insulating state as x -> 1. The end member LaBaNiO4 with a nominal nickel Ni 3d7 configuration might therefore be regarded as a candidate for an antiferromagnetic insulator. However, we do not observe any magnetic ordering in LaBaNiO4 down to 1.5 K, and despite its insulating transport properties several other physical properties of LaBaNiO4 resemble those of metallic LaSrNiO4. Based on an analysis of electrical and thermal-conductivity data as well as magnetic-susceptibil…
The magnetic excitations in the cuprate superconductors might be essential for an understanding of high-temperature superconductivity. In these cuprate superconductors the magnetic excitation spectrum resembles an hour-glass and certain resonant magnetic excitations within are believed to be connected to the pairing mechanism which is corroborated by the observation of a universal linear scaling of superconducting gap and magnetic resonance energy. So far, charge stripes are widely believed to be involved in the physics of hour-glass spectra. Here we study an isostructural cobaltate that also …
