The off-shell massless six-point double box and hexagon conformal Feynman integrals with generic propagator powers are expressed in terms of linear combinations of multiple hypergeometric series of the generalized Horn type. These results are derived from 9-fold Mellin-Barnes representations obtained from their dual conformal Feynman parameter representations. The individual terms in the presented expressions satisfy the differential equation that relates the double box in $D$ dimensions to the hexagon in $D+2$ dimensions.
We explore the idea to bootstrap Feynman integrals using integrability. In particular, we put the recently discovered Yangian symmetry of conformal Feynman integrals to work. As a prototypical example we demonstrate that the D-dimensional box integral with generic propagator powers is completely fixed by its symmetries to be a particular linear combination of Appell hypergeometric functions. In this context the Bloch-Wigner function arises as a special Yangian invariant in 4D. The bootstrap procedure for the box integral is naturally structured in algorithmic form. We then discuss the Yangian …
We study the decomposition of the Feynman kernel for a particle in a box with $1/\sin^{2}θ$ potential to find that the wellknown phase factor $-1$, which is correct for the case of the free particle, for reflection at boundaries should be generalized depending on the parameter of the potential.
We present the powerful module-intersection integration-by-parts (IBP) method, suitable for multi-loop and multi-scale Feynman integral reduction. Utilizing modern computational algebraic geometry techniques, this new method successfully trims traditional IBP systems dramatically to much simpler integral-relation systems on unitarity cuts. We demonstrate the power of this method by explicitly carrying out the complete analytic reduction of two-loop five-point non-planar hexagon-box integrals, with degree-four numerators, to a basis of $73$ master integrals.
Negative dimensional integration method (NDIM) is a technique which can be applied, with success, in usual covariant gauge calculations. We consider three two-loop diagrams: the scalar massless non-planar double-box with six propagators and the scalar pentabox in two cases, where six virtual particles have the same mass and in the case where all of them are massless. Our results are given in terms hypergeometric functions of Mandelstam variables and for arbitrary exponents of propagators and dimension $D$ as well.
The diagrammatic coaction encodes the analytic structure of Feynman integrals by mapping any given Feynman diagram into a tensor product of diagrams defined by contractions and cuts of the original diagram. Feynman integrals evaluate to generalized hypergeometric functions in dimensional regularization. Establishing the coaction on this type of functions has helped formulating and checking the diagrammatic coaction of certain two-loop integrals. In this talk we study its application on the fully massless double box diagram. We make use of differential equation techniques, which, together with …
We introduce and study the Wilson-loop ${\rm d}\log$ representation of certain Feynman integrals for scattering amplitudes in ${\cal N}=4$ SYM and beyond, which makes their evaluation completely straightforward. Such a representation was motivated by the dual Wilson loop picture, and it can also be derived by partial Feynman parametrization of loop integrals. We first introduce it for the simplest one-loop examples, the chiral pentagon in four dimensions and the three-mass-easy hexagon in six dimensions, which are represented by two- and three-fold ${\rm d}\log$ integrals that are nicely relat…
We investigate the hexagon formalism in the planar 4d conformal fishnet theory. This theory arises from N=4 SYM by a deformation that preserves both conformal symmetry and integrability. Based on this relation, we obtain the hexagon form factors for a large class of states, including the BMN vacuum, some excited states, and the Lagrangian density. We apply these form factors to the computation of several correlators and match the results with direct Feynman diagrammatic calculations. We also study the renormalisation of the hexagon form factor expansion for a family of diagonal structure const…
We extend the recently developed Yangian bootstrap for Feynman integrals to Minkowski space, focusing on the case of the one-loop box integral. The space of Yangian invariants is spanned by the Bloch-Wigner function and its discontinuities. Using only input from symmetries, we constrain the functional form of the box integral in all 64 kinematic regions up to twelve (out of a priori 256) undetermined constants. These need to be fixed by other means. We do this explicitly, employing two alternative methods. This results in a novel compact formula for the box integral valid in all kinematic regi…
Two-loop corrections to scattering amplitudes are crucial theoretical input for collider physics. Recent years have seen tremendous advances in computing Feynman integrals, scattering amplitudes, and cross sections for five-particle processes. In this paper, we initiate the study of the function space for planar two-loop six-particle processes. We study all genuine six-particle Feynman integrals, and derive the differential equations they satisfy on maximal cuts. Performing a leading singularity analysis in momentum space, and in Baikov representation, we find an integral basis that puts the d…
We formulate and prove Cutkosky's Theorem regarding the discontinuity of Feynman integrals in the massive one-loop case up to the involved intersection index. This is done by applying the techniques to treat singular integrals developed in \cite{app-iso}. We write one-loop integrals as an integral of a holomorphic family of holomorphic forms over a compact cycle. Then, we determine at which points simple pinches occur and explicitly compute a representative of the corresponding vanishing sphere. This also yields an algorithm to compute the Landau surface of a one-loop graph without explicitly …
We study cluster algebras for some all-loop Feynman integrals, including box-ladder, penta-box-ladder, and (seven-point) double-penta-ladder integrals. In addition to the well-known box ladder whose symbol alphabet is $D_2\simeq A_1^2$, we show that penta-box ladder has an alphabet of $D_3\simeq A_3$ and provide strong evidence that the alphabet of double-penta ladder can be identified with a $D_4$ cluster algebra. We relate the symbol letters to the ${\bf u}$ variables of cluster configuration space, which provide a gauge-invariant description of the cluster algebra, and we find various sub-a…
AMFlow is a Mathematica package to numerically compute dimensionally regularized Feynman integrals via the recently proposed auxiliary mass flow method. In this framework, integrals are treated as functions of an auxiliary mass parameter and their results can be obtained by constructing and solving differential systems with respect to this parameter, in an automatic way. The usage of this package is described in detail through an explicit example of double-box family involved in two-loop $t\bar{t}$ hadroproduction.
We propose that the concept of multidimensional residues can be used to directly extracting the coefficients of scalar master integrals (with single propagators only) from one-loop Feynman integrals with generic power of propagators. Unlike the usual integration-by-parts (IBP) technique, where one has to solve iteratively a complicated set of equations to carry out the reduction and determine the coefficients of scalar master integrals, using multidimensional residues provides the possibility of directly extracting the coefficients of the master integrals. As the first application of this idea…
In this paper we consider a conformal invariant chain of $L$ sites in the unitary irreducible representations of the group $SO(1,5)$. The $k$-th site of the chain is defined by a scaling dimension $Δ_k$ and spin numbers $\frac{\ell_k}{2}$, $\frac{\dot{\ell}_k}{2}$. The model with open and fixed boundaries is shown to be integrable at the quantum level and its spectrum and eigenfunctions are obtained by separation of variables. The transfer matrices of the chain are graph-builder operators for the spinning and inhomogeneous generalization of squared-lattice "fishnet" integrals on the disk. As s…
We study Feynman integrals and scattering amplitudes in ${\cal N}=4$ super-Yang-Mills by exploiting the duality with null polygonal Wilson loops. Certain Feynman integrals, including one-loop and two-loop chiral pentagons, are given by Feynman diagrams of a supersymmetric Wilson loop, where one can perform loop integrations and be left with simple integrals along edges. As the main application, we compute analytically for the first time, the symbol of the generic ($n\geq 12$) double pentagon, which gives two-loop MHV amplitudes and components of NMHV amplitudes to all multiplicities. We repres…
We use a result on mixed Tate motives due to Goncharov (arXiv:alg-geom/9601021) to show that the symbol of an arbitrary one-loop 2m-gon integral in 2m dimensions may be read off directly from its Feynman parameterization. The algorithm proceeds via recursion in m seeded by the well-known box integrals in four dimensions. As a simple application of this method we write down the symbol of a three-mass hexagon integral in six dimensions.
An account is given of how the 'box integrals', as used for one-loop calculations in massless field theory, appear in momentum-twistor geometry. Particular attention is paid to the role of compact contour integration in representing the Feynman propagator in twistor space. An explicit calculation of all the box integrals, using only elementary methods, is included.
We propose that the symbol alphabet for classes of planar, dual-conformal-invariant Feynman integrals can be obtained as truncated cluster algebras purely from their kinematics, which correspond to boundaries of (compactifications of) $G_+(4,n)/T$ for the $n$-particle massless kinematics. For one-, two-, three-mass-easy hexagon kinematics with $n=7,8,9$, we find finite cluster algebras $D_4$, $D_5$ and $D_6$ respectively, in accordance with previous result on alphabets of these integrals. As the main example, we consider hexagon kinematics with two massive corners on opposite sides and find a …
The dimensionally regularized massless on-shell double box Feynman diagram with powers of propagators equal to one is analytically evaluated for general values of the Mandelstam variables s and t. An explicit result is expressed either in terms of polylogarithms Li_a(-t/s), up to a=4, and generalized polylogarithms S_{a,b}(-t/s), with a=1,2 and b=2, or in terms of these functions depending on the inverse ratio, s/t.
We present a simple method which simplifies the evaluation of the on-shell multiple box diagrams reducing them to triangle type ones. For the $L$-loop diagram one gets the expression in terms of Feynman parameters with $2L$-fold integration. As examples we consider the 2 and 3 loops cases, the numerical integration up to six loops is also presented. The method is valid in six dimensions where neither UV not IR divergences appear.
The initial phase of the inspiral process of a binary black-hole system can be described by perturbation theory. At the third post-Minkowskian order a two-loop double box graph, known as H-graph, contributes. In this talk we report how all master integrals of the H-graph with equal masses can be expressed up to weight four in terms of multiple polylogarithms. We also discuss techniques for the unequal mass case. The essential complication (and the focus of the talk) is the occurrence of several square roots.
We study Feynman integrals in the representation with Schwinger parameters and derive recursive integral formulas for massless 3- and 4-point functions. Properties of analytic (including dimensional) regularization are summarized and we prove that in the Euclidean region, each Feynman integral can be written as a linear combination of convergent Feynman integrals. This means that one can choose a basis of convergent master integrals and need not evaluate any divergent Feynman graph directly. Secondly we give a self-contained account of hyperlogarithms and explain in detail the algorithms neede…
Singularities hidden in the collinear region around an external massless leg may lead to conformal symmetry breaking in otherwise conformally invariant finite loop momentum integrals. For an $\ell$-loop integral, this mechanism leads to a set of linear $2$nd-order differential equations with a non-homogeneous part. The latter, due to the contact nature of the anomaly in momentum space, is determined by $(\ell-1)$-loop information. Solving such differential equations in general is an open problem. In the case of 5-particle amplitudes up to two loops, the function space is known, and we can thus…
We study the symbology of planar Feynman integrals in dimensional regularization by considering geometric configurations in momentum twistor space corresponding to their leading singularities (LS). Cutting propagators in momentum twistor space amounts to intersecting lines associated with loop and external dual momenta, including the special line associated with the point at infinity, which breaks dual conformal symmetry. We show that cross-ratios of intersection points on these lines, especially those on the infinity line, naturally produce symbol letters for Feynman integrals in $D=4-2ε$, wh…
The dimensionally regularized massless double box Feynman diagram with powers of propagators equal to one, one leg off the mass shell, i.e. with non-zero q^2=p_1^2, and three legs on shell, p_i^2=0, i=2,3,4, is analytically calculated for general values of q^2 and the Mandelstam variables s and t. An explicit result is expressed through (generalized) polylogarithms, up to the fourth order, dependent on rational combinations of q^2,s and t, and a one-dimensional integral with a simple integrand consisting of logarithms and dilogarithms.
We compute systematically for the planar double box Feynman integral relevant to top pair production with a closed top loop the Laurent expansion in the dimensional regularisation parameter $\varepsilon$. This is done by transforming the system of differential equations for this integral and all its sub-topologies to a form linear in $\varepsilon$, where the $\varepsilon^0$-part is strictly lower triangular. This system is easily solved order by order in the dimensional regularisation parameter $\varepsilon$. This is an example of an elliptic multi-scale integral involving several elliptic sub…
In this sequel calculation of the one-loop Feynman integral pertaining to a massive box diagram contributing to the photon-photon scattering amplitude in quantum electrodynamics, we present the six solutions as yet unknown in the literature. These six new solutions arise quite naturally in the context of negative dimensional integration approach, revealing a promising technique to handle Feynman integrals.
We present an algorithm for the analytical evaluation of dimensionally regularized massless on-shell double box Feynman diagrams with arbitrary polynomials in numerators and general integer powers of propagators. Recurrence relations following from integration by parts are solved explicitly and any given double box diagram is expressed as a linear combination of two master double boxes and a family of simpler diagrams. The first master double box corresponds to all powers of the propagators equal to one and no numerators, and the second master double box differs from the first one by the secon…
The dimensionally regularized massless non-planar double box Feynman diagram with powers of propagators equal to one, one leg off the mass shell, i.e. with p_1^2=q^2\neq 0, and three legs on shell, p_i^2=0, i=2,3,4, is analytically calculated for general values of q^2 and the Mandelstam variables s,t and u (not necessarily restricted by the physical condition s+t+u=q^2). An explicit result is expressed through (generalized) polylogarithms, up to the fourth order, dependent on rational combinations of q^2,s,t and u, and simple finite two- and three fold Mellin--Barnes integrals of products of g…
We study the geometry and Hodge theory of the cubic hypersurfaces attached to two-loop Feynman integrals for generic physical parameters. We show that the Hodge structure attached to planar two-loop Feynman graphs decomposes into mixed Tate pieces and the Hodge structures of families of hyperelliptic, elliptic, or rational curves depending on the space-time dimension. For two-loop graphs with a small number of edges, we give more precise results. In particular, we recover a result of Bloch arXiv:2105.06132 that in the well-known double box example, there is an underlying family of elliptic cur…
We derive analytic results for the symbol of certain two-loop Feynman integrals relevant for seven- and eight-point two-loop scattering amplitudes in planar $\mathcal{N}=4$ super-Yang--Mills theory. We use a bootstrap inspired strategy, combined with a set of second-order partial differential equations that provide powerful constraints on the symbol ansatz. When the complete symbol alphabet is not available, we adopt a hybrid approach. Instead of the full function, we bootstrap a certain discontinuity for which the alphabet is known. Then we write a one-fold dispersion integral to recover the …
We derive an analytic representation of the ten-particle, two-loop double-box integral as an elliptic integral over weight-three polylogarithms. To obtain this form, we first derive a four-fold, rational (Feynman-)parametric representation for the integral, expressed directly in terms of dual-conformally invariant cross-ratios; from this, the desired form is easily obtained. The essential features of this integral are illustrated by means of a simplified toy model, and we attach the relevant expressions for both integrals in ancillary files. We propose a normalization for such integrals that r…
We explore single and multi-loop conformal integrals, such as the ones appearing in dual conformal theories in flat space. Using Mellin amplitudes, a large class of higher loop integrals can be written as simple integro-differential operators on star integrals: one-loop $n$-gon integrals in $n$ dimensions. These are known to be given by volumes of hyperbolic simplices. We explicitly compute the five-dimensional pentagon integral in full generality using Schläfli's formula. Then, as a first step to understanding higher loops, we use spline technology to construct explicitly the $6d$ hexagon and…
We study the elliptic double-box integral, which contributes to generic massless QFTs and is the only contribution to a particular 10-point scattering amplitude in N=4 SYM theory. Based on a Feynman parametrization, we express this integral in terms of elliptic polylogarithms. We then study its symbol, finding a rich structure and remarkable similarity with the non-elliptic case. In particular, the first entry of the symbol is expressible in terms of logarithms of dual-conformal cross-ratios, and elliptic letters only occur in the last two entries. Moreover, the symbol makes manifest a differe…

We advocate a strategy of bootstrapping Feynman integrals from just knowledge of their singular behavior. This approach is complementary to other bootstrap programs, which exploit non-perturbative constraints such as unitarity, or amplitude-level constraints such as gauge invariance. We begin by studying where a Feynman integral can become singular, and the behavior it exhibits near these singularities. We then characterize the space of functions that we expect the integral to evaluate to, in order to formulate an appropriate ansatz. Finally, we derive constraints on where each singularity can…
Feynman diagrams are the best tool we have to study perturbative quantum field theory. For this very reason the development of any new technique which allows us to compute Feynman integrals is welcome. By the middle of the 80's, Halliday and Ricotta suggested the possibility of using negative dimensional integrals to tackle the problem. The aim of this work is to revisit the technique as such and check up on its possibilities. For this purpose, we take a box diagram integral contributing to the photon-photon scattering amplitude in quantum electrodynamics using the negative dimensional integra…
We propose an iterative procedure for constructing classes of off-shell four-point conformal integrals which are identical. The proof of the identity is based on the conformal properties of a subintegral common for the whole class. The simplest example are the so-called `triple scalar box' and `tennis court' integrals. In this case we also give an independent proof using the method of Mellin--Barnes representation which can be applied in a similar way for general off-shell Feynman integrals.
