On the geometric representation of the path integral reduction Jacobian for a mechanical system with symmetry given on a manifold that is a product of the total space of the principal fiber bundle and the vector space
For the Jacobian resulting from the previously considered problem of the path integral reduction in Wiener path integrals for a mechanical system with symmetry describing the motion of two interacting scalar particles on a manifold that is the product of a smooth compact finite-dimensional Riemannian manifold and a finite-dimensional vector space, a geometric representation is obtained. This representation follows from the formula for the scalar curvature of the original manifold endowed by definition with a free isometric smooth action of a compact semisimple Lie group. The derivation of this formula is performed using adapted coordinates, which can be determined in the principal fiber bundle associated with the problem under the study. These coordinates are similar to those used in the standard approach to quantization of Yang-Mills fields interacting with scalar fields.
Let $π:P\to M^n$ be a principal G-bundle, and let ${\mathcal{L}}: J^1P \toΛ^n(M)$ be a G-invariant Lagrangian density. We obtain the Euler-Poincare equations for the reduced Lagrangian l defined on ${\mathcal C}(P)$, the bundle of connections on P.
A nonassociative generalization of the principal fiber bundles with a smooth loop mapping on the fiber is presented. Our approach allows us to construct a new kind of gauge theories that involve higher ''nonassociative'' symmetries.
The Lagrange--Poincaré equations for a mechanical system which describes the interaction of two scalar particles that move on a special Riemannian manifold, consisting of the product of two manifolds, the total space of a principal fiber bundle and the vector space, are obtained. The derivation of equations is performed by using the variational principle developed by Poincaré for the mechanical systems with a symmetry. The obtained equations are written in terms of the dependent variables which, as in gauge theories, are implicitly determined by means of equations representing the local sectio…
Using the dependent coordinates, the local Lagrange-Poincaré equations and equations for the relative equilibria are obtained for a mechanical system with a symmetry describing the motion of two interacting scalar particles on a special Riemannian manifold (the product of the total space of the principal fiber bundle and the vector space) on which a free proper and isometric action of a compact semi-simple Lie group is given. As in gauge theories, dependent coordinates are implicitly determined by means of equations representing the local sections of the principal fiber bundle.
This note is a continuation of our earlier articles arXiv:1612.08897 and arXiv:1709.09030, where using the dependent coordinates the local Lagrange-Poincaré equations were obtained for a mechanical system with symmetry describing the motion of two interacting scalar particles on a special Riemannian manifold (the product of the total space of the principal fiber bundle and vector space), on which a free proper and isometric action of a compact semisimple Lie group is given. Assuming the existence of the parametric representations for local sections in the principal bundle, we make the transiti…
The case of non-zero momentum level reduction in Wiener path integrals for a mechanical system with symmetry describing the motion of two scalar particles with interaction on a Riemannian product manifold with the given action a compact semisimple Lie group is considered. The original product manifold consists of the vector space and a smooth compact finite-dimensional Riemannian manifold, which, due to the action of the group, can be regarded as the total space of the principal fiber bundle. The integral relation between the path integrals representing the fundamental solutions of the backwar…
Using the path integral measure factorization method based on the nonlinear filtering equation from the stochastic process theory, we consider the reduction procedure in Wiener path integrals for a mechanical system with symmetry that describes the motion of two interacting scalar particles on a special smooth compact Riemannian manifold - the product of total space of the principal fiber bundle and the vector space. The original manifold, the configuration space of this system, is endowed with an isometric free proper action of a compact semisimple unimodular Lie group. The proposed reduction…
The geometrical representation of the path integral reduction Jacobian obtained in the problem of the path integral quantization of a scalar particle motion on a smooth compact Riemannian manifold with the given free isometric action of the compact semisimple Lie group has been found for the case when the local reduced motion is described by means of dependent coordinates. The result is based on the scalar curvature formula for the original manifold which is viewed as a total space of the principal fibre bundle.
The geometrical representation of the Jacobian in the path integral reduction problem which describes a motion of the scalar particle on a smooth compact Riemannian manifold with the given free isometric action of the compact semisimple Lie group is obtained. By using the formula for the scalar curvature of the manifold with the Kaluza--Klein metric, we present the Jacobian as difference of the scalar curvature of the total space of the principal fibre bundle and the terms that are the scalar curvature of the orbit space, the scalar curvature of the orbit, the second fundamental form of the or…
This is an extended version of a communication made at the international conference ``Noncommutative Geometry and Physics'' held at Orsay in april 2007. In this proceeding, we make a review of some noncommutative constructions connected to the ordinary fiber bundle theory. The noncommutative algebra is the endomorphism algebra of a SU(n)-vector bundle, and its differential calculus is based on its Lie algebra of derivations. It is shown that this noncommutative geometry contains some of the most important constructions introduced and used in the theory of connections on vector bundles, in part…

We outline how Drinfeld twist deformation techniques can be applied to the deformation quantization of principal bundles into noncommutative principal bundles, and more in general to the deformation of Hopf-Galois extensions. First we twist deform the structure group in a quantum group, and this leads to a deformation of the fibers of the principal bundle. Next we twist deform a subgroup of the group of authomorphisms of the principal bundle, and this leads to a noncommutative base space. Considering both deformations we obtain noncommutative principal bundles with noncommutative fiber and bas…
We study the singular iso-level manifold $M_g(0)$ of the genus $g$ Mumford system associated to the spectral curve $y^2=x^{2g+1}$. We show that $M_g(0)$ is stratified by $g+1$ open subvarieties of additive algebraic groups of dimension $0,1,...,g$ and we give an explicit description of $M_g(0)$ in terms of the compactification of the generalized Jacobian. As a consequence, we obtain an effective algorithm to compute rational solutions to the genus $g$ Mumford system, which is closely related to rational solutions of the KdV hierarchy.
We construct noncommutative principal bundles deforming principal bundles with a Drinfeld twist (2-cocycle). If the twist is associated with the structure group then we have a deformation of the fibers. If the twist is associated with the automorphism group of the principal bundle, then we obtain noncommutative deformations of the base space as well. Combining the two twist deformations we obtain noncommutative principal bundles with both noncommutative fibers and base space. More in general, the natural isomorphisms proving the equivalence of a closed monoidal category of modules and its twis…
A geometric interpretation of the Aharonov--Bohm effect is given in terms of connections on principal fiber bundles. It is demonstrated that the principal fiber bundle can be trivial while the connection and its holonomy group are nontrivial. Therefore, the main role is played by geometric rather than topological effects.
A geometric interpretation of the Berry phase and its Wilczek--Zee non-Abelian generalization are given in terms of connections on principal fiber bundles. It is demonstrated that a principal fiber bundle can be trivial in all cases, while the connection and its holonomy group are nontrivial. Therefore, the main role is played by geometric rather than topological effects.
We give a new construction of strict deformation quantization of symplectic manifolds equipped with a proper Lagrangian fiber bundle structure, whose representation spaces are the quantum Hilbert spaces obtained by geometric quantization. The construction can be regarded as a "lattice approximation of the correspondence between differential operators and principal symbols". We analyze the corresponding formal deformation quantization. We also investigate into relations between our construction and Berezin-Toeplitz deformation quantization.
The purpose of this paper is to put the description of number scaling and its effects on physics and geometry on a firmer foundation, and to make it more understandable. A main point is that two different concepts, number and number value are combined in the usual representations of number structures. This is valid as long as just one structure of each number type is being considered. It is not valid when different structures of each number type are being considered. Elements of base sets of number structures, considered by themselves, have no meaning. They acquire meaning or value as elements…
