We explore the non-commutative space-time to revive the idea that gamma-ray excess in the galactic center can be the result of particle dark matter annihilation. In the non-commutative theory, the photon spectrum is produced by direct emission during this annihilation where a photon can be embed in the final state together with other direct products in new vertices. In the various configurations of dark matter phenomenology, we adopt the most common model known as singlet scalar. Calculating the relevant aspects of the model, we can obtain the photon flux in the galactic center. Comparing our numerical achievements with experimental data reveals that non-commutative space-time can be a reliable framework to explain the gamma-ray excess.
We study the non-minimal composite Higgs model with global symmetry $\text{SO}(7)$ broken to $\text{SO}(5)\times \text{SO}(2)$. The model results in a composite Two-Higgs doublet model (2HDM) equipped with two extra singlets, the lightest of which can be a viable dark matter candidate. The model is able to reproduce the correct dark matter relic density both via the usual thermal freeze-out and through late time decay of the heavier singlet. In the case of thermal freeze-out, it is possible to evade current experimental constraints even with the minimum fine tuning allowed by electroweak preci…
We comprehensively study all viable new-physics scenarios that resolve the muon $(g-2)_μ$ anomaly with only Standard Model singlet particles coupled to muons via renormalizable interactions. Since such models are only viable in the MeV -- TeV mass range and require sizable muon couplings, they predict abundant accelerator production through the same interaction that resolves the anomaly. We find that a combination of fixed-target (NA64$μ$, $M^3$), $B$-factory (BABAR, Belle II), and collider (LHC, muon collider) searches can cover nearly all viable singlets scenarios, independently of their dec…
We consider generation of dark matter mass via radiative electroweak symmetry breaking in an extension of the conformal Standard Model containing a singlet scalar field with a Higgs portal interaction. Generating the mass from a sequential process of radiative electroweak symmetry breaking followed by a conventional Higgs mechanism can account for less than 35% of the cosmological dark matter abundance for dark matter mass $M_s>80 GeV$. However in a dynamical approach where both Higgs and scalar singlet masses are generated via radiative electroweak symmetry breaking we obtain much higher leve…
We study the implications of the Higgs discovery and of recent results from dark matter searches on real singlet scalar dark matter. The phenomenology of the model is defined by only two parameters, the singlet scalar mass $m_S$ and the quartic coupling $a_2$ between the SU(2) Higgs and the singlet scalar. We concentrate on the window $5 < m_S/{\rm GeV} < 300$. The most dramatic impact on the viable parameter space of the model comes from direct dark matter searches with LUX, and, for very low masses in the few GeV range, from constraints from the invisible decay width of the Higgs. In the res…
An addition to the Standard Model of a real, gauge-singlet scalar field, coupled via a Higgs portal interaction, can reopen the possibility of a strongly first-order electroweak phase transition (EWPT) and successful electroweak baryogenesis (EWBG). If a discrete symmetry that forbids doublet-singlet mixing is present, this model is notoriously difficult to test at the Large Hadron Collider. As a result, it emerged as a useful benchmark for evaluating the capabilities of proposed future colliders to conclusively test EWPT and EWBG. In this paper, we evaluate the bubble nucleation temperature t…
We explore a simple extension to the Standard Model containing two gauge singlets: a Dirac fermion and a real pseudoscalar. In some regions of the parameter space both singlets are stable without the necessity of additional symmetries, then becoming a possible two-component dark matter model. We study the relic abundance production via freeze-out, with the latter determined by annihilations, conversions and semi-annihilations. Experimental constraints from invisible Higgs decay, dark matter relic abundance and direct/indirect detection are studied. We found three viable regions of the paramete…
We construct a list of minimal scale-invariant models at the TeV scale that generate one-loop neutrino mass and give viable dark matter candidates. The models generically contain a singlet scalar and a $Z_2$-odd sector comprised of singlet, doublet and/or triplet SU(2) multiplets. The dark matter may reside in a single multiplet or arise as an admixture of several multiplets. We find fifteen independent models, for which the dark matter is a viable candidate and neutrino mass results from a diagram with just one of the irreducible scale-invariant one-loop topologies. Further "non-pure" cases g…

Detecting the cosmic rays, in particular gamma-ray, coming from the dark matter annihilation or decay is an indirect way to survey the nature of the dark matter. In the commutative space-time, the annihilation of the dark matter candidates (WIMPs) to photons proceeds through loop corrections. However, it is possible for WIMPs as well as the other standard model singlet particles to couple with photons directly in the noncommutative space-time. In this paper, we study two-photon annihilation of singlet WIMPs in the noncommutative space-time. If the noncommutative interactions are relevant to th…
We study the simplest viable dark matter (DM) model with a real singlet scalar, vector-like singlet, and doublet fermions. The Yukawa couplings associated with the fermion sector are important in obtaining the current DM relic density through Freeze-out and Freeze-in mechanisms. In addition to the standard model-like high scale minima along the Higgs field, we find other high scale minima along the singlet scalar field direction. The other minima appears due to the renormalisation group evolutions of the couplings involving the gauge sector, Higgs portal, and the new Yukawa sector. A detailed …
We explore the simplest viable dark matter model with a real singlet scalar, vector-like singlet and doublet fermions. The Yukawa couplings associated with the fermion sector play a crucial role in getting the current relic density through Freeze-in and Freeze-out mechanism. We discuss the constraints from the recent muon anomalous magnetic moment experimental data and relic density. We also perform the collider analysis for the FIMP dark matter in the context of 14 TeV LHC experiments with the MATHUSLA100/200 detector. Our analysis shows that one can get enough events $>3$ for heavy charged f…
We explore the idea of an alternative candidate for particle dark matter namely Feebly Interacting Massive Particle (FIMP) in the framework of a two component singlet scalar model. Singlet scalar dark matter has already been demonstrated to be a viable candidate for WIMP (Weakly Interacting Massive Particle) dark matter in literature. In the FIMP scenario, dark matter particles are slowly produced via "thermal frreze-in" mechanism in the early Universe and are never abundant enough to reach thermal equilibrium or to undergo pair annihilation inside the Universe's plasma due to their extremely …
Singlet scalar Dark Matter can naturally arise in composite Higgs models as an additional stable pseudo-Nambu-Goldstone boson. We study the properties of such a candidate in a model based on $SU(6)/SO(6)$, with the light quark masses generated by 4-fermion interactions. The presence of non-linearities in the couplings allows to saturate the relic density for masses $400 < m_{\rm DM} < 1000$ GeV, and survive the bound from Direct Detection and Indirect Detection. The viable parameter regions are in reach of the sensitivities of future upgrades, like XENONnT and LZ.

We consider the singlet scalar model of dark matter and study the expected antiproton and positron signals from dark matter annihilations. The regions of the viable parameter space of the model that are excluded by present data are determined, as well as those regions that will be probed by the forthcoming experiment AMS-02. In all cases, different propagation models are investigated, and the possible enhancement due to dark matter substructures is analyzed. We find that the antiproton signal is more easily detectable than the positron one over the whole parameter space. For a typical propagat…
We study the Standard Model singlet ("right-handed") sneutrino $\tilde ν_R$ dark matter in a class of $U(1)'$ extensions of the MSSM that originate from the breaking of the $E_6$ gauge group. These models, which are referred to as UMSSM, contain three right--handed neutrino superfields plus an extra gauge boson $Z'$ and an additional SM singlet Higgs with mass $\simeq M_{Z'}$, together with their superpartners. In the UMSSM the right sneutrino is charged under the extra $U(1)'$ gauge symmetry; it can therefore annihilate via gauge interactions. In particular, for $M_{\tilde ν_R} \simeq M_{Z'}/…
The addition of gauge singlet fermions to the Standard Model Lagrangian renders the neutrinos massive and allows one to explain all that is experimentally known about neutrino masses and lepton mixing. At the same time, the gauge singlet fermion decays in the early universe produce a lepton asymmetry, which is converted to a baryon asymmetry via Spharelon processes (leptogenesis). On the other hand, the addition of a gauge singlet scalar to the Standard Model yields a thermal dark matter candidate through interactions between the Higgs boson and the gauge singlet scalar. By imposing a $Z_2$ sy…
One of the simplest viable models for dark matter is an additional neutral scalar, stabilised by a $\mathbb{Z}_2$ symmetry. Using the GAMBIT package and combining results from four independent samplers, we present Bayesian and frequentist global fits of this model. We vary the singlet mass and coupling along with 13 nuisance parameters, including nuclear uncertainties relevant for direct detection, the local dark matter density, and selected quark masses and couplings. We include the dark matter relic density measured by Planck, direct searches with LUX, PandaX, SuperCDMS and XENON100, limits …
We propose a simple extension of the Standard Model (SM) which has a viable dark matter (DM) candidate, as well as can explain the generation of tiny neutrino masses. The DM is an electroweak (EW) singlet scalar $S$, odd under an imposed exact $Z_2$ symmetry, interacting to SM through `Higgs-portal' coupling, while all other particles are even under $Z_2$. The model also has an EW isospin $3/2$ scalar, $Δ$ and a pair of EW isospin vector, $Σ$ and $\barΣ$, responsible for generating tiny neutrino mass via the effective dimension seven operator. Thanks to the additional interactions with $Δ$, th…
By extending the Standard Model with singlet-doublet fermions and triplet scalars, all odd under a new $Z_2$ symmetry, we introduce a radiative seesaw model that can simultaneously account for dark matter, explain the existence of neutrino masses and allow for gauge coupling unification. We explore the viable parameter space of the model after imposing collider, Higgs mass, dark matter, neutrino mass and lepton flavour violation constraints. We find that dark matter in this model is fermionic for masses below about 1 TeV and scalar above and observe a high degree of complementarity between dir…
The possibility of CP violation is studied in the Higgs sector of a supersymmetric standard model with multiple Higgs singlets. The tree-level Lagrangian in this model is assumed to conserve the CP symmetry. We find that CP violation is viable in this model at the one-loop level, in an explicit way, if the radiative corrections from the third generation of quarks and squarks are taken into account. In the presence of explicit CP violation, at the one-loop level, the upper bound on the mass of the lightest neutral Higgs boson and the productions of the neutral Higgs bosons via the Higgsstrahlun…
A singlet fermion which interacts only with a new singlet scalar provides a viable and minimal scenario that can explain the dark matter. The singlet fermion is the dark matter particle whereas the new scalar mixes with the Higgs boson providing a link between the dark matter sector and the Standard Model. In this paper, we present an updated analysis of this model focused on its detection prospects. Both, the parity-conserving case and the most general case are considered. First, the full parameter space of the model is analyzed, and the regions compatible with the dark matter constraint are …
We extend the Standard Model by adding two gauge-singlet $\mathbb{Z}_{2}$% -symmetric scalar fields that interact with visible matter only through the Higgs particle. One is a stable dark matter WIMP, and the other one undergoes a spontaneous breaking of the symmetry that opens new channels for the dark matter annihilation, hence lowering the mass of the WIMP. We study the effects of the observed dark matter relic abundance on the annihilation cross section and find that in most regions of the parameters space, light dark matter is viable. We also compare the elastic scattering cross-section o…
We present a study of singlet-doublet vector-like leptonic dark matter (DM) in the framework of two Higgs doublet model (2HDM), where the dark sector is comprised of one doublet and one singlet vectorlike fermions (VLFs). The DM, that arises as an admixture of the neutral components of the VLFs, is stabilized by an imposed discrete symmetry $\mathcal{Z}_2^{'}$ . We test the viability of the model in the light of observations from PLANCK and recent limits on spin-independent direct detection experiments, and search for its possible collider signals. In addition, we also look for the stochastic …
We present a detailed study of a combined singlet-doublet scalar and singlet-doublet fermion model for dark matter. These models have only been studied separately in the past. We show that their combination allows for the radiative generation of neutrino masses, but that it also implies the existence of lepton-flavour violating (LFV) processes. We first analyse the dark matter, neutrino mass and LFV aspects separately. We then perform two random scans for scalar dark matter imposing Higgs mass, relic density and neutrino mass constraints, one over the full parameter space, the other over regio…
We propose a two component dark matter set-up by extending the Standard Model with a singlet and a hypercharge-less triplet scalars, each of them being odd under different $Z_2$ symmetries. We observe that the inter-conversion between the two dark matter components allow a viable parameter space where masses of both the dark matter candidates can be below TeV, even though their individual contribution to single component dark matter rules out any such sub-TeV dark matter. We find that a lighter mass of the neutral component of the scalar triplet, playing the role of one dark matter component, …
We consider a simplest extension of the Standard Model (SM) through the incorporation of a real scalar singlet and an additional discrete $Z_2$ symmetry. The model admits the neutral scalar singlet to be stable and thus, a viable component of dark matter. We explore the parameter space of the model keeping in view the constraints arise from different dark matter direct detection experiments through WIMP-nucleon scattering. First of all, we have utilised the data obtained from CDMS, XENON-10 and XENON-100 collaborations. We further constraint the parameter space from the DAMA collaboration resu…
We assume a generic real singlet scalar extension of the Standard Model living in the vacuum $(v,w)$ at the electroweak scale with $v=246$ GeV and $w$ being respectively the Higgs and the singlet scalar vacuum expectation values. By requiring {\it absolute} vacuum stability for the vacuum $(v,w)$, the positivity condition and the perturbativity up to the Planck scale, we show that the viable space of parameters in the model is strongly constrained for various singlet scalar vacuum expectation values $w=0.1, 1, 10, 100$ TeV. Also, it turns out that the singlet scalar mass can be from a few GeV …
We study the electroweak phase transition in the framework of scalar singlet-doublet mixed dark matter model, where the particle dark matter candidate is the lightest neutral Higgs that comprised of the CP-even component of inert doublet and a singlet scalar. The dark matter can be dominated by the inert doublet or singlet scalar depending on the mixing. We present several benchmark models to investigate the two situations after imposing several theoretical and experimental constraints. An additional singlet scalar and the inert doublet drive the electroweak phase transition to be strongly fir…
In this letter, we propose an extension of the scotogenic model where singlet Majorana particle can be dark matter (DM) without the need of a highly suppressed scalar coupling of the order $O(10^{-10})$. For that, the SM is extended with three singlet Majorana fermions, an inert scalar doublet, and two (a complex and a real) singlet scalars, with a global $Z_{4}$ symmetry that is spontaneously broken into $Z_{2}$ at a scale higher than the electroweak one by the vev of the complex singlet scalar. In this setup, the smallness of neutrino mass is achieved via the cancellation between three diagr…
We study several aspects of electroweak vacuum metastability when an extra gauge singlet scalar, a viable candidate for a dark matter particle, is added to the standard model of particle physics, which is assumed to be valid up to the Planck scale. Phase diagrams are drawn for different parameter spaces, and based on that, we graphically demonstrate how the confidence level, at which stability of electroweak vacuum is excluded, depends on such new physics parameters.
We study the dark matter phenomenology of scotogenic frameworks through a rather illustrative model extending the Standard Model by scalar and fermionic singlets and doublets. Such a setup is phenomenologically attractive since it provides the radiative generation of neutrino masses, while also including viable candidates for cold dark matter. We employ a Markov Chain Monte Carlo algorithm to explore the associated parameter space in view of numerous constraints stemming from the Higgs mass, the neutrino sector, dark matter, and lepton-flavour violating processes. After a general discussion of…
Assuming that no other conventional new physics is found immediately at the LHC, we investigate how just the consistent solution of the scalar mass hierarchy problem points towards the minimal necessary field content. We show that to ameliorate the fine-tuning problem, one needs to introduce more scalar degrees of freedom. The simplest solution is one or more real singlets (with the possibility of combining two of them in a complex singlet), which may act as viable cold dark matter candidates, because the constraints on the scalar potential disfavor any mixing between the new scalar(s) with th…
The Scotogenic Model is one of the most minimal models to account for both neutrino masses and dark matter (DM). In this model, neutrino masses are generated at the one-loop level, and in principle, both the lightest fermion singlet and the lightest neutral component of the scalar doublet can be viable DM candidates. However, the correct DM relic abundance can only be obtained in somewhat small regions of the parameter space, as there are strong constraints stemming from lepton flavour violation, neutrino masses, electroweak precision tests and direct detection. For the case of scalar DM, a su…
We study popular scalar extensions of the Standard Model, namely the singlet extension, the 2-Higgs doublet model (2HDM) and its extension by a singlet scalar. We focus on the contributions of the added scalars to the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon, $(g-2)_μ$ in the presence of CP-violation, and the electric dipole moment of the electron ($e$EDM) in these models. In the absence of CP-violation, CP-even and CP-odd scalars contribute with an opposite sign to the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon and as a result these models generally require very light scalars to explain the observed …
The singlet scalar model is a minimal extension of the Standard Model that can explain the dark matter. We point out that in this model the dark matter constraint can be satisfied not only in the already considered WIMP regime but also, for much smaller couplings, in the Feebly Interacting Massive Particle (FIMP) regime. In it, dark matter particles are slowly produced in the early Universe but are never abundant enough to reach thermal equilibrium or annihilate among themselves. This alternative framework is as simple and predictive as the WIMP scenario but it gives rise to a completely diffe…
We perform a global fit of the extended scalar singlet model with a fermionic dark matter (DM) candidate. Using the most up-to-date results from the $\mathit{Planck}$ measured DM relic density, direct detection limits from the XENON1T (2018) experiment, electroweak precision observables and Higgs searches at colliders, we constrain the 7-dimensional model parameter space. We also find regions in the model parameter space where a successful electroweak baryogenesis (EWBG) can be viable. This allows us to compute the gravitational wave (GW) signals arising from the phase transition, and discuss …
Standard thermal leptogenesis in the type-I seesaw model requires very heavy right-handed neutrinos (RHNs). This makes it hard to probe this scenario experimentally and results in large radiative corrections to the Higgs boson mass. In this paper, we demonstrate that the situation is considerably different in models that extend the Higgs sector by a real scalar singlet. Based on effective-theory arguments, the extra scalar is always allowed to couple to the heavy neutrinos via singlet Yukawa terms. This opens up new RHN decay channels leading to larger $CP$ violation as well as to a stronger d…

A gauge singlet scalar with non-minimal coupling to gravity can drive inflation and later freeze out to become cold dark matter. We explore this idea by revisiting inflation in the singlet direction (S-inflation) and Higgs Portal Dark Matter in light of the Higgs discovery, limits from LUX and observations by Planck. We show that large regions of parameter space remain viable, so that successful inflation is possible and the dark matter relic abundance can be reproduced. Moreover, the scalar singlet can stabilise the electroweak vacuum and at the same time overcome the problem of unitarity-vio…
We study via the renormalization group equations at one-loop order the perturbativity and vacuum stability of a two-singlet model of cold dark matter (DM) that consists in extending the Standard Model with two real gauge-singlet scalar fields. We then investigate the regions in the parameter space in which the model is viable. For this, we require the model to reproduce the observed DM relic density abundance, to comply with the measured XENON 100 direct-detection upper bounds, and to be consistent with the RGE perturbativity and vacuum-stability criteria up to $40\mathrm{TeV}$. For small mixi…
We provide a list of particle physics models at the TeV-scale that are compatible with neutrino masses and dark matter. In these models, the Standard Model particle content is extended with a small number (\leq 4) of scalar and fermion fields transforming as singlets, doublets or triplets under SU(2), and neutrino masses are generated radiatively via 1-loop diagrams. The dark matter candidates are stabilized by a Z_2 symmetry and are in general mixtures of the neutral components of such new multiplets. We describe the particle content of each of these models and determine the conditions under …
The extension of the standard model (SM) by a Higgs portal scalar field is one the simplest dark matter theories. We present here the first results for a global fit to this model using the global and beyond the SM inference tool (GAMBIT). This software enables the combination of dark matter constraints in a statistically consistent manner. In total 15 parameters are varied and the parameter space explored using four different scanning algorithms. The viable parameter space is reduced from previous studies of this model due to the inclusion of the latest direct detection constraints.
We construct a model containing a viable dark matter candidate, in the framework of left-right symmetry, which can explain both width and cross-section of the observed 750 GeV diphoton excess at the LHC. We introduce a fermion quintuplet whose neutral component can be a possible dark matter candidate, whereas the charged components enhance the loop induced coupling of a 750 GeV singlet scalar with a pair of photons. We study the photo-production of the singlet scalar and its various decay modes, successfully addressing both the ATLAS and the CMS diphoton excess.
We study a simplest viable dark matter model with a real singlet scalar, vector-like singlet and a doublet lepton. We find a considerable enhancement in the allowed region of the scalar dark matter parameter spaces under the influence of the new Yukawa coupling. The Yukawa coupling associate with the fermion sector heavily dominant the dark matter parameter spaces satisfying the current relic density of the Universe. Dilepton$+\slashed{E}_T$ signature arising from the new fermionic sector can observe at Large Hadron Collider (LHC). We perform such analysis in the context of 14 TeV LHC experime…
We consider a model with two gauge singlet fermionic WIMPs communicating with the SM particles by a singlet scalar mediator via a Higgs portal. While the light WIMP is stable and plays the role of the dark matter (DM) candidate, the heavy partner is a short-lived WIMP without contribution to the current DM relic density. Along with the coannihilation effects the heavy WIMP, acting as a mediator in $t$- and $u$-channel DM annihilation cross sections, has a significant effect in finding the viable parameter space against the direct detection constraints provided by XENON1t and LUX experiments. T…
