We explore some implications of our previous proposal, motivated in part by the Generalised Uncertainty Principle (GUP) and the possibility that black holes have quantum mechanical hair that the ADM mass of a system has the form $M + βM_\mathrm{Pl}^2/(2M)$, where $M$ is the bare mass, $M_\mathrm{Pl}$ is the Planck mass and $β$ is a positive constant. This also suggests some connection between black holes and elementary particles and supports the suggestion that gravity is self-complete. We extend our model to charged and rotating black holes, since this is clearly relevant to elementary particles. The standard Reissner-Nordström and Kerr solutions include zero-temperature states, representing the smallest possible black holes, and already exhibit features of the GUP-modified Schwarzschild solution. However, interesting new features arise if the charged and rotating solutions are themselves GUP-modified. In particular, there is an interesting transition below some value of $β$ from the GUP solutions (spanning both super-Planckian and sub-Planckian regimes) to separated super-Planckian and sub-Planckian solutions. Equivalently, for a given value of $β$, there is a critical value of the charge and spin above which the solutions bifurcate into sub-Planckian and super-Planckian phases, separated by a mass gap in which no black holes can form.
In this paper, we investigate the tunneling process of charged massive bosons $W^{\pm }$ (spin-1 particles) from noncommutative charged black holes such as charged RN black holes and charged BTZ black holes. By applying the WKB approximation and by using the Hamilton-Jacobi equation we derive the tunneling rate and the corresponding Hawking temperature for those black holes configuration. Furthermore, we show the quantum gravity effects using the GUP on the Hawking temperature for the noncommutative RN black holes. The tunneling rate shows that the radiation deviates from pure thermality and i…
In the present paper, the quantum corrections to the temperature, entropy and specific heat capacity of the charged non-rotating BTZ black hole are studied by generalized uncertainty principle in tunneling formalism. It is shown that quantum corrected entropy would be of the form of predicted entropy in quantum gravity theories like string theory and loop quantum gravity.

The geodesic deviation equation is generalized to worldline deviation equations describing the relative accelerations of charged spinning particles in the framework of Dixon-Souriau equations of motion.
In this article we analyze the geodesics of test particles and light in the five dimensional (charged) doubly spinning black ring spacetime. Apparently it is not possible to separate the Hamilton-Jacobi-equation for (charged) doubly spinning black rings in general, so we concentrate on special cases: null geodesics in the ergosphere and geodesics on the two rotational axes of the (charged) doubly spinning black ring. We present analytical solutions to the geodesic equations for these special cases. Using effective potential techniques we study the motion of test particles and light and discuss…
In this paper, we investigate new exact and analytic solutions of the Einstein Maxwell field equations describing Casimir wormholes with and without the effect of the Generalized Uncertainty Principle (GUP). We consider a specific type of the GUP relations and study three specific models of the redshift function along with two different EoS of state. Here we obtain a class of asymptotically flat Casimir wormhole solutions with and without GUP corrections under the effect of electric charge. Furthermore we check the null, weak, strong and dominant energy conditions at the wormhole throat of rad…
In this paper, we investigate the massless Reissner-Nordstrom de Sitter metric in the context of minimal length scenarios. We prove not only the confinement of the energy density of massless charged particles, both fermions and bosons, but also their ability to tunnel through the cosmological horizon. These massless particles might be interacting with Dirac sea and in this case they will appear outside the cosmological horizon in the context of dS/CFT holography. This result may formulate a fundamental reason for the expansion of the Dirac sea. Therefore, a spacetime Big Crunch may occur.
In this work, the microstructure of charged AdS black holes under minimal length effects is investigated. We study the thermodynamics of black holes in the extended phase space, where the cosmological constant is regarded as the thermodynamic pressure. The modified Hawking temperature and phase transition are obtained based on the generalized uncertainty principle (GUP). Then, using thermodynamic geometry, we show that the microstructure of black holes can be determined by the ratio of GUP parameter to charge. For a small ratio, the black hole exhibits the typical RN-AdS microstructure with va…
Based on the universality of the entropy-area relation of a black hole, and the fact that the generalized uncertainty principle (GUP) adds a logarithmic correction term to the entropy in accordance with most approaches to quantum gravity, we argue that the GUP-corrected entropy-area relation is universal for all black objects. This correction to the entropy produces corrections to the thermodynamics. We explicitly calculate these corrections for three types of black holes: Reissner--Nordström, Kerr, and charged AdS black holes, in addition to spinning black rings. In all cases we find that the…
In this paper, we study quantum-corrected and GUP-(generalized uncertainty principle) corrected thermodynamics of the (2+1)-dimensional charged-rotating Achucarro-Ortiz (AO) black hole. The corrected parameters include temperature, entropy, and heat capacity which help in investigating the instability phases of the AO black hole. We show that AO black hole with small mass possesses unstable regions. However, we reveal that those instabilities can be removed by the GUP corrections. Finally, we also compute the maximum temperature that can be reached by the AO black hole.
We investigate the motion of massive charged and spinning test particles around a charged dyonic black hole spacetime surrounded by perfect fluid scalar dark matter field. We obtain the equations of motion and find the expressions for the four-velocity for the case of a charged particle, and four-momentum components for the case of a spinning particle. The trajectories for various values of electric $Q_{e}$ and magnetic $Q_{m}$ charges are investigated under the influence of dark matter field $λ$. We find the equations of motion of a spinning particle that follows a non-geodesic trajectory via…
The spinning-hairy black holes that occur in Einstein gravity supplemented by a doublet of complex scalar fields are constructed within an extension of the model by a $U(1)$ gauge symmetry involving a massless vector potential. The hairy black holes then acquire an electric charge and a magnetic moment; their domain of existence is discussed in terms of the gauge coupling constant.
A recent paper [M. Kamata and T. Koikawa, Phys. Lett. {\bf B353} (1995) 196.] claimed to obtain the charged version of the $(2+1)$-dimensional spinning $BTZ$ black hole solution by assuming a (anti-) self dual condition imposed on the electric and magnetic fields. We point out that the angular momentum and mass diverge at spatial infinity and as a consequence the solution is unphysical
A charged dilaton black hole which possesses infinitesimal angular momentum is studied. We find that the gyromagnetic ratio of the dilaton black hole depends not only on the parameter which appears in the interaction between the dilaton and the electric field but also nonlinearly on the ratio of the charge to the mass of the black hole. The moment of inertia for the charged dilaton hole in the limit of infinitesimal angular momentum is also calculated.
The equations which determine the response of a spinning charged particle moving in a uniform magnetic field to an incident gravitational wave are derived in the linearized approximation to general relativity. We verify that 1) the components of the 4-momentum, 4-velocity and the components of the spinning tensor, both electric and magnetic moments, exhibit resonances and 2) the co-existence of the uniform magnetic field and the GW are responsible for the resonances appearing in our equations. In the absence of the GW, the magnetic field and the components of the spin tensor decouple and the m…
The behaviour of charged spinning test particles moving along circular orbits in the equatorial plane of the Reissner-Nordström spacetime is studied in the framework of the Dixon-Souriau model completed with standard choices of supplementary conditions. The gravitomagnetic " clock effect", i.e. the delay in the arrival times of two oppositely circulating particles as measured by a static observer, is derived and discussed in the cases in which the particles have equal/opposite charge and spin, the latter being directed along the $z$-axis.
The effects of a paritcle's spin and electric charge on its angular momentum, energy and radius on the innermost stable circular orbit are investigated based on the particle's equations of motion in a background of the Kerr-Newmann spacetime. It is found that the particle's angular momentum and energy have monotonous relationships with not only its spin but also its charge; it is also discovered that the spinning particle's radius may change non-monotonously with its charge. Hence, our result remarkably indicates that particles owning identical spin but different charge may degenerate into a s…
We consider the lagrangian of a self-interacting complex scalar field admitting generically Q-balls solutions. This model is extended by minimal coupling to electromagnetism and to gravity. A stationnary, axially-symmetric ansatz for the different fields is used in order to reduce the classical equations. The system of non-linear partial differential equations obtained becomes a boundary value problem by supplementing a suitable set of boundary conditions. We obtain numerical evidences that the angular excitations of uncharged Q-balls, which exist in flat space-time, get continuously deformed …
In this paper, we investigate minimal length effects on the thermodynamics and weak cosmic censorship conjecture in a RN-AdS black bole via charged particle absorption. We first use the generalized uncertainty principle (GUP) to investigate the minimal length effect on the Hamilton-Jacobi equation. After the deformed Hamilton-Jacobi equation is derived, we use it to study the variations of the thermodynamic quantities of a RN-Ads black hole via absorbing a charged practice. Furthermore, we check the second law of thermodynamics and the weak cosmic censorship conjecture in two phase spaces. In …
We generate from the static charged BTZ black hole a family of spinning charged solutions to the Einstein-Maxwell equations in 2+1 dimensions. These solutions go over, in a suitable limit, to self-dual spinning charged solutions, which are horizonless and regular, with logarithmically divergent mass and spin. To cure this divergence, we add a topological Chern-Simons term to the gauge field action. The resulting self-dual solution is horizonless, regular, and asymptotic to the extreme BTZ black hole.
In this paper the motion of charged and uncharged test particles in the rotating nonlinearly charged black hole is examined. Its asymptotics can be de Sitter or anti-de Sitter, depending on the value of the nonlinear parameter; consequently this BH can present one, two or three horizons, the third one being the cosmological horizon in the de Sitter case. Angular and radial test particle motions are analyzed and compared with its linear electromagnetic counterpart, the Kerr-Newman black hole (KN-BH). Several differences arise with the KN-BH, namely, the equatorial asymmetry is enhanced by the N…
Recently, there has been much attention devoted to resolving the quantum corrections to the Bekenstein-Hawking (black hole) entropy, which relates the entropy to the cross-sectional area of the black hole horizon. Using generalized uncertainty principle (GUP), corrections to the geometric entropy and thermodynamics of black hole will be introduced. The impact of GUP on the entropy near the horizon of three types of black holes; Schwarzschild, Garfinkle-Horowitz-Strominger and Reissner-Nordström is determined. It is found that the logarithmic divergence in the entropy-area relation turns to be …
Path and path deviation equations for charged, spinning and spinning charged objects in different versions of Kaluza-Klein (KK) theory using a modified Bazanski Lagrangian have been derived. The significance of motion in five dimensions, especially for a charged spinning object, has been examined. We have also extended the modified Bazanski approach to derive the path and path deviation equations of a test particle in a version of non-symmetric KK theory.
By introducing the generalized uncertainty principle (GUP) on quantum density states, we newly obtain a consistent entropy of a scalar field on the (1+1)-dimensional Maxwell-dilaton background without an artificial cutoff in contrast to the results of the brick wall model, which depend on the choice of the Hawking temperature for the extremal case.
In this paper we investigate the innermost stable circular orbit (ISCO) for a classical spinning test particle in the background of Kerr-Newman black hole. It is shown that the orbit of the spinning particle is related to the spin of the test particle. The motion of the spinning test particle will be superluminal if its spin is too large. We give an additional condition by considering the superluminal constraint for the ISCO in the black hole backgrounds. We obtain numerically the relations between the ISCO and the properties of the black holes and the test particle. It is found that the radiu…
It is well known that some black holes can act as accelerators for particles without spin. Recently, there are some works considering collision of two spinning particles in the background of Schwarzschild and Kerr black holes and it was shown that {the center-of-mass energy of the test particles is related to the spin}. In this paper we extend the results to some more general cases. We consider Kerr-Newman black holes as accelerators for spinning particles. We derive the center-of-mass energy of the spinning particles and use numerical method to investigate how the center-of-mass energy is aff…
The phenomenon of mass inflation is shown to occur for a rotating black hole. We demonstrate this feature in $(2+1)$ dimensions by extending the charged spinning BTZ black hole to Vaidya form. We find that the mass function diverges in a manner quantitatively similar to its static counterparts in $(3+1)$, $(2+1)$ and $(1+1)$ dimensions.
We report a new class of rotating charged solutions in 2+1 dimensions. These solutions are obtained for Einstein-Maxwell gravity coupled to a dilaton field with selfdual electromagnetic fields. The mass and the angular momentum of these solutions computed at spatial infinity are finite. The class of solutions considered here have naked singularities and are asymptotically flat.
We study Aichelburg-Sexl ultrarelativistic limits in higher dimensions. After reviewing the boost of D>=4 Reissner-Nordstrom black holes as a simple illustrative example, we consider the case of D=5 black rings, presenting new results for static charged rings.
We study the motion of charged and spinning particles and photons in the $4D$ charged Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet (EGB) black hole vicinity. We determine the radius of the innermost stable circular orbit (ISCO) for test particles. We show that the combined effect of the Gauss-Bonnet (GB) coupling parameter and black hole charge decreases the ISCO and the radius of the photon sphere. Further, we study the gravitational deflection angle and show that the impact of GB term and black hole charge on it is quite noticeable. We also consider the effect of plasma and find the analytical form of the deflecti…
We study the statistical entropy of a scalar field on the (1+1)-dimensional Maxwell-dilaton background without an artificial cutoff considering corrections to all orders in the Planck length from a generalized uncertainty principle (GUP) on the quantum state density. In contrast to the previous results of the higher dimensional cases having adjustable parameter, we obtain an unadjustable entropy due to the independence of the minimal length while this entropy is proportional to the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy.
When the equatorial spin velocity, $v$, of a charged conducting sphere approaches $c$, the Lorentz force causes a remarkable rearrangement of the total charge $q$. Charge of that sign is confined to a narrow equatorial belt at latitudes $b \leqslant \sqrt{3} (1 - v^2/c^2)^{1/2}$ while charge of the opposite sign occupies most of the sphere's surface. The change in field structure is shown to be a growing contribution of the `magic' electromagnetic field of the charged Kerr-Newman black hole with Newton's G set to zero. The total charge within the narrow equatorial belt grows as $(1-v^2/c^2)^{-…
A test particle possessing spin angular momentum moves along a non-geodesic path due to an additional spin-curvature force. We study the spinning test particle moving in the vicinity of the electrically charged black hole formation in Eddington-inspired Born-Infeld (EiBI) gravity. Through the numerical analysis of its effective potential and orbits, it is found that the orbital eccentricity reduces as the deviation parameter $κ$ increases. By comparing the orbits for the observed stars around Sagittarius A*, we conclude that the observed orbits with too large radii can not give a stringent con…

By using the ultra-spinning limit as a generating solution technique, we construct a novel class of charged rotating asymptotic AdS black holes. That describes the exact D-dimnsioanl solutions of Einstein-Maxwell dilaton theory in the presence of negative cosmological constant. The obtained geometries possess some punctures, describing a noncompact horizon, but has a finite area. We then explicitly investigate the validity of the Kerr/CFT correspondence for all dimensional cases. We find a main result for the central charges associated to $[(d-1)/2]$ copies of dual $2D$ CFTs. We then argue the…
Recently M. Kamata and T. Koikawa claimed to obtain the charged version of the spinning BTZ black hole solution by assuming an (anti-) self dual condition imposed on the orthonormal basis components of the electric and magnetic fields. We point out that the Kamata-Koikawa field is not a solution of the Einstein-Maxwell equations and we find the correct solution of the studied problem. It is shown that a duality mapping exists among spinning solutions obtained from electrostatic and magnetostatic fields with the help of the local transformation $t\longrightarrow t-ωθθ\longrightarrow θ-ωt.$
For non-spinning, charged (Reissner-Nordström) black holes, the particles with an opposite sign of charge with respect to that of the black hole will be pulled into the black hole by the extra electromagnetic force. Such a hole will be quickly neutralized so that there should not exist significantly charged, non-spinning black holes in the universe. The case of spinning, charged (Kerr-Newmann) black holes is more complicated. For a given initial position and initial velocity of the particle, an oppositely charged particle does not always more easily fall into the black hole than a neutral part…

We present a new asymptotically flat, doubly spinning black ring of D = 5 Einstein-Maxwell-dilaton theory with Kaluza-Klein dilaton coupling. Besides the mass and two angular momenta, the solution displays both electric charge and (magnetic) dipole charge. The class of solutions that are free from conical singularities is described by four parameters. We first derive the solution in six dimensions employing the inverse scattering method, thereby generalising the inverse-scattering construction by two of the current authors of Emparan's singly spinning dipole black ring. The novel black ring it…
We present a method to construct conformally curved initial data for charged black hole binaries with spin on arbitrary orbits. We generalize the superposed Kerr-Schild, extended conformal thin sandwich construction from [Lovelace et al., Phys. Rev. D {78}, 084017 (2008)] to use Kerr-Newman metrics for the superposed black holes and to solve the electromagnetic constraint equations. We implement the construction in the pseudospectral code SGRID. The code thus provides a complementary and completely independent excision-based construction, compared to the existing charged black hole initial dat…
Path and path deviation equations for neutral, charged, spinning and spinning charged test particles, using a modified Bazanski Lagrangian, are derived. We extend this approach to strings and branes. We show how the Bazanski Lagrangian for charged point particles and charged branes arises `a la Kaluza-Klein from the Bazanski Lagrangian in 5-dimensions.
We calculate the asymptotic behavior of the curvature scalar $(Riemann)^2$ near the null weak singularity at the inner horizon of a generic spinning black hole, and show that this scalar oscillates infinite number of times while diverging. The dominant parallelly-propagated Riemann components oscillate in a similar manner. This oscillatory behavior, which is in a remarkable contrast to the monotonic mass-inflation singularity in spherical charged black holes, is caused by the dragging of inertial frames due to the black- hole's spin.
This study explores the emission of massive charged spin-1 particles from the background of Bardeen regular spacetime by the semi-classical method used to study the Hawking radiation spectrum. We employed the Hamilton-Jacobi method and WKB approximation technique with the suitable form of the wave function to solve the Proca field equation. We calculated the tunneling probability of outgoing spin-1 particles and the corresponding thermodynamic temperature. Furthermore, we obtained the modified thermodynamic quantities like temperature, entropy as well as heat capacity by utilizing the quadrati…
Angular momentum balance is examined in the context of the electrodynamics of a spinning charged sphere, which is allowed to possess any variable angular velocity. We calculate the electric and magnetic fields of the (hollow) sphere, and express them as expansions in powers of $τ/t_c \ll 1$, the ratio of the light-travel time $τ$ across the sphere and the characteristic time scale $t_c$ of variation of the angular velocity. From the fields we compute the self-torque exerted by the fields on the sphere, and argue that only a piece of this self-torque can be associated with radiation reaction. T…

We present fully general relativistic simulations of the quasi-circular inspiral and merger of charged, non-spinning, binary black holes with charge-to-mass ratio $λ\le 0.3$. We discuss the key features that enabled long term and stable evolutions of these binaries. We also present a formalism for computing the angular momentum carried away by electromagnetic waves, and the electromagnetic contribution to black-hole horizon properties. We implement our formalism and present the results for the first time in numerical-relativity simulations. In addition, we compare our full non-linear solutions…
In this paper we investigate the innermost stable circular orbit (ISCO) of a spinning test particle moving in the rotating Maxwell-dilaton black hole spacetime. By using the Mathisson-Papapetrou-Dixon equations along with the Tulczyjew spin-supplementary condition, we find the equations of motion in the equatorial plane and, from the radial equation, it is obtained the effective potential for the description of the particle's motion. The obtained trajectories show that the ISCO radii for spinning particles moving in rotating charged backgrounds are always smaller than those obtained in the cor…
It has recently been pointed out that the spinning Kerr black hole with maximal spin could act as a particle collider with arbitrarily high center-of-mass energy. In this paper, we will extend the result to the charged spinning black hole, the Kerr-Newman black hole. The center-of-mass energy of collision for two uncharged particles falling freely from rest at infinity depends not only on the spin $a$ but also on the charge $Q$ of the black hole. We find that an unlimited center-of-mass energy can be approached with the conditions: (1) the collision takes place at the horizon of an extremal bl…
In this paper, we study Hawking radiation as a massless particles tunneling process across the event horizon from the Schwarzschild and Reissner-Nordström black holes pierced by an infinitely long spinning cosmic string and a global monopole. Applying the WKB approximation and using a generalized Painlevé line element for stationary axisymmetric spacetimes, also by taking into account that the ADM mass of the black hole decreases due to the presence of topological defects, it is shown that the Hawking temperature remains unchanged for these black holes. The tunneling of charged massive particl…
We present the long-wavelength effective description of non-extremal spinning black D3-branes in flat space. Our setup is motivated by recent explorations of low energy dynamics on black brane world-volumes within the blackfold approach and its connections to the fluid/gravity correspondence. The spinning D3-branes with a rigid radial Dirichlet cut-off give rise to an effective field theory. This theory describes a charged plasma which is driven by external forces, given by one vector and two scalar operators. Furthermore, the flavour charge of this plasma is anomalous, allowing us to examine …
