Thermal leptogenesis, in the framework of the standard model with three additional heavy Majorana neutrinos, provides an attractive scenario to explain the observed baryon asymmetry in the universe. It is based on the out-of-equilibrium decay of Majorana neutrinos in a thermal bath of standard model particles, which in a fully quantum field theoretical formalism is obtained by solving Kadanoff-Baym equations. So far, the leading two-loop contributions from leptons and Higgs particles are included, but not yet gauge corrections. These enter at three-loop level but, in certain kinematical regimes, require a resummation to infinite loop order for a result to leading order in the gauge coupling. In this work, we apply such a resummation to the calculation of the lepton number density. The full result for the simplest "vanilla leptogenesis" scenario is by $\mathcal{O}(1)$ increased compared to that of quantum Boltzmann equations, and for the first time permits an estimate of all theoretical uncertainties. This step completes the quantum theory of leptogenesis and forms the basis for quantitative evaluations, as well as extensions to other scenarios.
We study thermal leptogenesis from decays of the electroweak triplets that mediate neutrino masses in type-II and type-III see-saw. We find that Sommerfeld corrections reduce the baryon asymmetry by ~30%, and that successful leptogenesis needs triplets heavier than 1.6 TeV, beyond the discovery reach of LHC.
Leptogenesis is a class of scenarios in which the cosmic baryon asymmetry originates from an initial lepton asymmetry generated in the decays of heavy sterile neutrinos in the early Universe. We explain why leptogenesis is an appealing mechanism for baryogenesis. We review its motivations, the basic ingredients, and describe subclasses of effects, like those of lepton flavours, spectator processes, scatterings, finite temperature corrections, the role of the heavier sterile neutrinos and quantum corrections. We then address leptogenesis in supersymmetric scenarios, as well as some other popula…
Using the closed-time-path formalism we quantify gradient corrections to the kinetic equations for leptogenesis, that are neglected in the standard Boltzmann approach. In particular we show that an additional CP-violating source term arises, which is non-zero even when all species are in local thermal equilibrium. In the early universe it is proportional to the expansion rate and would vanish for static equilibrium configurations, in accordance with the Sakharov conditions. We find that for thermal leptogenesis in a standard cosmological background the additional source term is small. However,…
In a model for leptogenesis based on spontaneous breaking of Lorentz and CPT symmetry [1-3], we examine the consistency of using the approximation of plane-wave solutions for a free spin-(1/2) Dirac (or Majorana) fermion field propagating in a Friedmann-Lemaitre-Robertson-Walker space time augmented with a cosmic time-dependent (or, equivalently, a temperature-dependent) Kalb-Ramond (KR) background. For the range of parameters relevant for leptogenesis, our analysis fully justifies the use of plane-wave solutions in our study of leptogenesis with Boltzmann equations; any corrections induced by…
We study renormalisation group (RG) corrections relevant for leptogenesis in the case of family symmetry models such as the Altarelli-Feruglio A4 model of tri-bimaximal lepton mixing or its extension to tri-maximal mixing. Such corrections are particularly relevant since in large classes of family symmetry models, to leading order, the CP violating parameters of leptogenesis would be identically zero at the family symmetry breaking scale, due to the form dominance property. We find that RG corrections violate form dominance and enable such models to yield viable leptogenesis at the scale of ri…
We derive and solve kinetic equations for leptogenesis within the Closed Time Path (CTP) formalism. It is particularly emphasised how the procedure of real intermediate state subtraction familiar from the Boltzmann approach is realised within the CTP framework; and we show how in time-independent situations, no lepton asymmetry emerges, in accordance with the CPT-theorem. The CTP approach provides new quantum statistical corrections from evaluating the loop integrals. These lead to an enhancement of the asymmetry that is originating from the Bose statistics of the Higgs particles. To quantify …
Radiative corrections to neutrino mixing and CP violation are analyzed in the minimal seesaw model with two heavy right-handed neutrinos. We find that textures of the effective Majorana neutrino mass matrix are essentially stable against renormalization effects. Taking account of the Frampton-Glashow-Yanagida ansatz for the Dirac neutrino Yukawa coupling matrix, we calculate the running effects of light neutrino masses, lepton flavor mixing angles and CP-violating phases for both $m_1 =0$ (normal mass hierarchy) and $m_3 =0$ (inverted mass hierarchy) cases in the standard model and in its mini…
We compute quantum and thermal corrections to the right-handed neutrino interaction rate in the early universe at next-to-leading order in all the relevant SM couplings (gauge, top Yukawa and higgs couplings). Previous computations considered 2 -> 2 scatterings, finding infra-red divergences. The KLN theorem demands that infra-red divergences cancel in the full result: after adding 1 -> 3 and one-loop virtual corrections that enter at the same order we find a simple result.
In two recent papers, arXiv:0909.1559 and arXiv:0911.4122, it has been demonstrated that one can obtain quantum corrected Boltzmann kinetic equations for leptogenesis using a top-down approach based on the Schwinger-Keldysh/Kadanoff-Baym formalism. These "Boltzmann-like" equations are similar to the ones obtained in the conventional bottom-up approach but differ in important details. In particular there is a discrepancy between the CP-violating parameter obtained in the first-principle derivation and in the framework of thermal field theory. Here we demonstrate that the two approaches can be r…
In the type-I seesaw mechanism the Casas-Ibarra (CI) parametrization provides a convenient description of the Dirac neutrino mass matrix in terms of the light and heavy Majorana neutrino masses, the lepton flavor mixing matrix $U$ and an unknown complex orthogonal matrix $O$. If $O$ is assumed to be real, it will be impossible to generate {\it unflavored} thermal leptogenesis via the lepton-number-violating and CP-violating decays of the lightest heavy Majorana neutrino. We find that this observation can be invalidated after small but unavoidable quantum corrections to the CI parametrization a…
We investigate hard-thermal-loop (HTL) corrections to the CP-asymmetries in neutrino and, at high temperature, Higgs boson decays in leptogenesis. We pay special attention to the two leptonic quasiparticles that arise at non-zero temperature and find that there are four contributions to the CP-asymmetries, which correspond to the four combinations of the two leptonic quasiparticles in the loop and in the final states. In two additional cases, we approximate the full HTL-lepton propagator with a zero-temperature propagator that employs the thermal lepton mass m_l(T), or the asymptotic thermal l…
We investigate the scenario of resonant thermal leptogenesis, in which the leptonic asymmetries are generated through renormalization group corrections induced at the leptogenesis scale. In the framework of the standard model extended by three right-handed heavy Majorana neutrinos with masses M1 = M2 << M3 at some high scale, we show that the mass splitting and CP-violating effects induced by renormalization group corrections can lead to values of the CP asymmetries large enough for a successful leptogenesis. In this scenario, the low-energy neutrino oscillation data can also be easily accommo…
With an emphasis on unitarity and CPT requirements, we study the inclusion of CP-violating processes in baryogenesis at next-to-leading order, particularly those involving the top Yukawa interaction in leptogenesis. We show that there are more contributions than previously considered, but also important cancellations. Some of these involve the interference of connected with disconnected diagrams. We also discuss on the application of the Kinoshita-Lee-Nauenberg theorem to treat the infrared divergences that are common at next-to-leading order. Finally, we calculate the CP asymmetry in the thre…
We investigate the validity of using thermal masses in the kinematics of final states in the decay rate of heavy neutrinos in leptogenesis calculations. We find that using thermal masses this way is a reasonable approximation, but corrections arise through quantum statistical distribution functions and leptonic quasiparticles.
It is shown that type I seesaw models based on the standard model Lagrangian extended with three heavy Majorana right-handed fields do not have leptogenesis in leading order, if the symmetries of mass matrices are also the residual symmetry of the Lagrangian. In particular, flavor models that lead to a mass-independent leptonic mixing have a vanishing leptogenesis CP asymmetry. Based on symmetry arguments, we prove that in these models the Dirac-neutrino Yukawa coupling combinations relevant for leptogenesis are diagonal in the physical basis where the charged leptons and heavy Majorana neutri…
By including all leading quantum-statistical effects at finite temperature, we show that no net asymmetry of leptons and sleptons is generated from soft leptogenesis, save the possible contribution from the resonant mixing of sneutrinos. This result contrasts with different conclusions appearing in the literature that are based on an incomplete inclusion of quantum statistics. We discuss vertex and wave-function diagrams as well as all different possible kinematic cuts that nominally lead to CP-violating asymmetries. The present example of soft leptogenesis may therefore serve as a paradigm in…
We investigate hard-thermal-loop (HTL) corrections to the final lepton asymmetry in leptogenesis. To this end we solve the Boltzmann equations with HTL-corrected rates and CP asymmetries, which we calculated in paper I of this series. We pay special attention to the influence of the two leptonic quasiparticles that arise at non-zero temperature. We include only decays and inverse decays and allow for the lepton modes to be either decoupled from each other, or to be in chemical equilibrium by some strong interaction, simulating the interaction with gauge bosons. In two additional cases, we appr…
In many phenomenologically interesting models of thermal leptogenesis the heavy neutrinos are non-relativistic when they decay and produce the baryon asymmetry of the Universe. We propose a non-relativistic approximation for the corresponding rate equations in the non-resonant case, and a systematic way for computing relativistic corrections. We determine the leading order coefficients in these equations, and the first relativistic corrections. The non-relativistic approximation works remarkably well. It appears to be consistent with results obtained using a Boltzmann equation taking into acco…
Soft leptogenesis is a scenario in which the cosmic baryon asymmetry is produced from a lepton asymmetry generated in the decays of heavy sneutrinos (the partners of the singlet neutrinos of the seesaw) and where the relevant sources of CP violation are the complex phases of soft supersymmetry-breaking terms. We explain the motivations for soft leptogenesis, and review its basic ingredients: the different CP-violating contributions, the crucial role played by thermal corrections, and the enhancement of the efficiency from lepton flavour effects. We also discuss the high temperature regime $T >…
A novel contribution to the leptonic CP asymmetries in type II seesaw leptogenesis scenarios is obtained for the cases in which flavor effects are relevant for the dynamics of leptogenesis. In the so-called flavoured leptogenesis regime, the interference between the tree-level amplitude of the scalar triplet decaying into two leptons and the one-loop wave-function correction with leptons in the loop, leads to a new nonvanishing CP asymmetry contribution. The latter conserves total lepton number but violates lepton flavour. Cases in which this novel contribution may be dominant in the generatio…
The related issues of Majorana CP violation in the lepton sector and leptogenesis are investigated in detail in two rather generic supersymmetric models with type I see-saw mechanism of neutrino mass generation and A_4 flavour symmetry, which naturally lead at leading order to tri-bimaximal neutrino mixing. The neutrino sector in this class of models is described at leading order by just two real parameters and one phase. This leads, in particular, to significant low energy constraints on the Majorana phases α_{21} and α_{31} in the PMNS matrix, which play the role of leptogenesis CP violating…
In this work we study thermal leptogenesis using non-equilibrium quantum field theory. Starting from fundamental equations for correlators of the quantum fields we describe the steps necessary to obtain quantum kinetic equations for quasiparticles. These can easily be compared to conventional results and overcome conceptional problems inherent in the canonical approach. Beyond CP-violating decays we include also those scattering processes which are tightly related to the decays in a consistent approximation of fourth order in the Yukawa couplings. It is demonstrated explicitly how the S-matrix…
We explore generating the dimension five operator leading to neutrino masses by integrating out heavy SU(2)_L triplet fermions. We exhibit a model that has a neutrino mass matrix consistent with observations. In addition, the model is capable of producing the observed baryon asymmetry, and unification can be achieved without dangerous proton decay. Supersymmetry can be broken at the fundamental scale with no supersymmetric signal at low energies.
For standard leptogenesis from the decay of singlet right-handed neutrinos, we derive source terms for the lepton asymmetry that are present in a finite density background but absent in the vacuum. These arise from cuts through the vertex correction to the decay asymmetry, where in the loop either the Higgs boson and the right-handed neutrino or the left-handed lepton and the right-handed neutrino are simultaneously on shell. We evaluate the source terms numerically and use them to calculate the lepton asymmetry for illustrative points in parameter space, where we consider only two right-hande…
The seesaw theory, the leading theory for particle interactions, provides a viable mechanism for generating the matter-antimatter asymmetry of the universe. Testing the leptogenesis mechanism directly requires measurement of the d=6 operator of the low-energy effective Lagrangian, in addition to the more familiar d=5 operator which generates Majorana masses for the light neutrinos when the electroweak symmetry is spontaneously broken. This important experimental challenge awaits the next generation of particle physicists.
We study a class of leptogenesis models where the light neutrinos acquire their observed small masses by a symmetry-motivated construction. This class of models may naturally include three nearly degenerate heavy Majorana neutrinos that can strongly mix with one another and have mass differences comparable to their decay widths. We find that such a tri-resonant heavy neutrino system can lead to leptonic CP asymmetries which are further enhanced than those obtained in the usual bi-resonant approximation. Moreover, we solve the Boltzmann equations by paying special attention to the temperature d…
The closed time-path formalism is a powerful Green's function formulation to describe non-equilibrium phenomena in field theory and it leads to a complete non-equilibrium quantum kinetic theory. We make use of this formalism to write down the set of quantum Boltzmann equations relevant for leptogenesis. They manifest memory effects and off-shell corrections. In particular, memory effects lead to a time-dependent CP asymmetry whose value at a given instant of time depends upon the previous history of the system. This result is particularly relevant when the asymmetry is generated by the decays …
Considering gravitino dark matter scenarios, we obtain the full gauge-invariant result for the relic density of thermally produced gravitinos to leading order in the Standard Model gauge couplings. For the temperatures required by thermal leptogenesis, we find gaugino mass bounds which will be probed at future colliders. We show that a conceivable determination of the gravitino mass will allow for a unique test of the viability of thermal leptogenesis in the laboratory.
We study the possibility of realising leptogenesis from three body decay, dark matter (DM) and neutrino mass in a minimal framework. We propose a first of its kind model to implement the idea of leptogenesis from three body decay where CP asymmetry arises from interference of multiple $1 \rightarrow 3$ diagrams using resummed propagators along with DM. The standard model is extended by three heavy singlet fermions, one scalar singlet and one scalar doublet with appropriate discrete charges. Two of these singlet fermions not only play non-trivial roles in generating light neutrino mass at radia…
The quantum Boltzmann equations relevant for leptogenesis, obtained using non-equilibrium quantum field theory, are described. They manifest memory effects leading to a time-dependent CP asymmetry which depends upon the previous history of the system. This result is particularly relevant in resonant leptogenesis where the asymmetry is generated by the decays of nearly mass-degenerate right-handed neutrinos. The impact of the non-trivial time evolution of the CP asymmetry is discussed either in the generic resonant leptogenesis scenario or in the more specific Minimal Lepton Flavour Violation f…
We propose a novel mechanism to realize leptogenesis through the Breit-Wigner resonance of a dark $U(1)_D$ gauge boson $Z_D$, which mediates lepton number violating annihilations of dark matter (DM) in the context of the scotogenic model with a $U(1)_D$. The processes occur out of equilibrium and the DM freezes out lately giving rise to the observed abundance. The CP violation required for leptogenesis can be achieved by the interference between tree-level t-channel scattering of DM and the subsequent 1-loop mediated by $Z_D$, which arises due to the unremovable imaginary part of either the $Z…
Supersymmetric models with radiatively-driven electroweak naturalness require light higgsinos of mass ~ 100-300 GeV. Naturalness in the QCD sector is invoked via the Peccei-Quinn (PQ) axion leading to mixed axion-higgsino dark matter. The SUSY DFSZ axion model provides a solution to the SUSY mu problem and the Little Hierarchy μ<< m_{3/2} may emerge as a consequence of a mismatch between PQ and hidden sector mass scales. The traditional gravitino problem is now augmented by the axino and saxion problems, since these latter particles can also contribute to overproduction of WIMPs or dark radiat…
The mass term for Majorana neutrinos explicitly violates lepton number. Several authors have used this fact to create a lepton asymmetry in the universe by considering CP violating effects in the one loop self-energy correction for the decaying heavy Majorana neutrino. We compare and comment on the different approaches used to calculate the lepton asymmetry including those using an effective Hamiltonian and resummed propagators. We also recalculate the asymmetry in the small mass difference limit.
We discuss sneutrino inflation in the brane-world scenario. We work in the Randall-Sundrum type II brane-world, generalized with the introduction of the Gauss-Bonnet term, a correction to the effective action in string theories. We find that a viable inflationary model is obtained with a reheating temperature appropriate to lead to the right baryon asymmetry and render the gravitino safe for cosmology. In specific realizations we satisfy all the observational constaints without the unnaturally small Yukawa couplings required in other related approaches.
We compute the CP violation in the decays of heavy electroweak singlet neutrinos, arising from both the one--loop vertex corrections and the wave function mixing. We extend the computation to the supersymmetric version of the model and discuss the implications for the generation of a lepton number asymmetry by the out of equilibrium decay of the heavy (s)neutrinos in the early Universe, to be reprocessed later in the observed baryon excess by anomalous electroweak processes.
Heavy right handed neutrinos could not only explain the observed neutrino masses via the seesaw mechanism, but also generate the baryon asymmetry of the universe via leptogenesis due to their CP-violating interactions in the early universe. We review recent progress in the theoretical description of this nonequilibrium process. Improved calculations are particularly important for a comparison with experimental data in testable scenarios with Majorana masses below the TeV scale, in which the heavy neutrinos can be found at the LHC, in the NA62 experiment, at T2K or in future experiments, includ…
In this paper, we generalize Coleman-Weinberg (CW) inflation in grand unified theories (GUTs) such as $\text{SU}(5)$ and $\text{SO}(10)$ by means of considering two complex singlet fields with conformal invariance. In this framework, inflation emerges from a spontaneously broken conformal symmetry. The GUT symmetry implies a potential with a CW form, as a consequence of radiative corrections. The conformal symmetry flattens the above VEV branch of the CW potential to a Starobinsky plateau. As a result, we obtain $n_{s}\sim 1-\frac{2}{N}$ and $r\sim \frac{12}{N^2}$ for $N\sim 50-60$ e-foldings.…
In this work we study the contribution to leptogenesis from Delta L=1 decay and scattering processes mediated by the Higgs with quarks in the initial and final states using the formalism of non-equilibrium quantum field theory. Starting from fundamental equations for correlators of the quantum fields we derive quantum-corrected Boltzmann and rate equations for the total lepton asymmetry improved in that they include quantum-statistical effects and medium corrections to the quasiparticle properties. To compute the collision term we take into account one- and two-loop contributions to the lepton…
We study a scenario where both dark matter and heavy right handed neutrino (RHN) responsible for leptogenesis acquire masses by crossing the relativistic bubble walls formed as a result of a TeV scale supercooled first order phase transition (FOPT). While this leads to a large out-of-equilibrium abundance of right handed neutrino inside the bubble sufficient to produce the required lepton asymmetry, the dark matter being lighter can still remain in equilibrium with its relic being set by subsequent thermal freeze-out. A classical conformal symmetry ensures the origin of mass via FOPT induced b…
We provide the first systematic study of the viable parameter space for leptogenesis in the type-I seesaw model with three right-handed neutrinos whose Majorana masses lie below the electroweak scale. We highlight the very rich phenomenology of this scenario and discuss several mechanisms that can help to enhance the baryon asymmetry of the Universe. This allows for much larger heavy neutrino mixing angles than in the minimal scenario with two heavy neutrinos, resulting in solutions that can be probed with the LHC and other experiments. The light neutrino masses can be protected from radiative…
Using the Closed-Time-Path approach, we perform a systematic leading order calculation of the relaxation rate of flavour correlations of left-handed Standard Model leptons. This quantity is of pivotal relevance for flavoured Leptogenesis in the Early Universe, and we find it to be 5.19*10^-3 T at T=10^7 GeV and 4.83*10^-3 T at T=10^13 GeV. These values apply to the Standard Model with a Higgs-boson mass of 125 GeV. The dependence of the numerical coefficient on the temperature T is due to the renormalisation group running. The leading linear and logarithmic dependencies of the flavour relaxati…

We implement the mechanism of non-thermal leptogenesis in the framework of an inflationary model based on a supersymmetric (SUSY) Pati-Salam Grand Unified Theory (GUT). In particular, we show that inflation is driven by a quartic potential associated with the Higgs fields involved in the spontaneous GUT symmetry breaking, in the presence of a non-minimal coupling of the inflaton field to gravity. The inflationary model relies on renormalizable superpotential terms and does not lead to overproduction of magnetic monopoles. It is largely independent of one-loop radiative corrections, and it can …
In the light of recent discovery of nonzero $θ_{13}$, we have analyzed the Altarelli-Feruglio $A_4$ flavor symmetry model extended with additional flavon. The inclusion of the new field leads to the deviation from exact tri-bimaximal neutrino mixing pattern in the context of type-I see-saw by producing a nonzero $θ_{13}$ consistent with the recent experimental results at the leading order. A sum rule for light neutrino masses is also obtained in this context. The set-up constraints the two Majorana phases involved in the lepton mixing matrix in terms of $A_4$ parameter space. We have shown tha…
In R-parity violating supersymmetric models both leptogenesis and the correct neutrino masses are hard to achieve together. The presence of certain soft nonholomorphic R-parity violating terms helps to resolve this problem. We consider a scenario where the lightest and the second-lightest neutralino are nearly degenerate in mass and enough CP-asymmetry can be produced through resonant leptogenesis. In this model, the lighter chargino and the lightest neutralino are highly degenerate. We have relatively lighter gauginos which can be produced at the LHC leading to heavily ionizing charged tracks…
We describe a new mechanism - radiatively-induced gravitational leptogenesis - for generating the matter-antimatter asymmetry of the Universe. We show how quantum loop effects in C and CP violating theories cause matter and antimatter to propagate differently in the presence of gravity, and prove this is forbidden in flat space by CPT and translation symmetry. This generates a curvature-dependent chemical potential for leptons, allowing a matter-antimatter asymmetry to be generated in thermal equilibrium in the early Universe. The time-dependent dynamics necessary for leptogenesis is provided …
In the Type I see-saw model, the naturalness requirement that corrections to the electroweak $μ$ parameter not exceed 1 TeV results in a rough bound on the lightest right-handed neutrino mass, $M_{N_1}\lesssim 3\times 10^7$ GeV. In this letter we derive generic bounds applicable in any three-flavour Type I see-saw model. We find $M_{N_1}\lesssim 4\times 10^7$ GeV and $M_{N_2}\lesssim 7\times 10^7$ GeV. In the limit of one massless neutrino, there is no naturalness bound on $M_{N_3}$ in the Poincare protected decoupling limit. Our results confirm that no Type I see-saw model can explain the obs…
Leptogenesis induced by the oscillations of GeV-scale neutrinos provides a minimal and testable explanation of the baryon asymmetry of the Universe. In this work we extend previous studies invoking only two heavy neutrinos to the case of three heavy neutrinos. We find qualitatively new behaviour as a result of lepton number violating oscillations and decays, strong flavour effects in the washout and a resonant enhancement due to matter effects. An approximate global $B - \bar L$ symmetry (representing the difference of baryon and a generalised lepton number) can protect the light neutrino mass…
Leptogenesis scenarios in supersymmetric hybrid inflation models are considered. Sufficient lepton asymmetry leading to successful baryogenesis can be obtained if the reheat temperature T_r>10^6 GeV and the superpotential coupling parameter kappa is in the range 10^-6<kappa<10^-2. For this range of kappa the scalar spectral index n_s=0.99+-0.01. Constraints from neutrino mixing further restrict the range of kappa that is allowed. We analyze in detail the case where the inflaton predominantly decays into the next-to-lightest right handed Majorana neutrino taking into account especially the cons…
Standard thermal leptogenesis in the type-I seesaw model requires very heavy right-handed neutrinos (RHNs). This makes it hard to probe this scenario experimentally and results in large radiative corrections to the Higgs boson mass. In this paper, we demonstrate that the situation is considerably different in models that extend the Higgs sector by a real scalar singlet. Based on effective-theory arguments, the extra scalar is always allowed to couple to the heavy neutrinos via singlet Yukawa terms. This opens up new RHN decay channels leading to larger $CP$ violation as well as to a stronger d…
We analyze leptogenesis in a supersymmetric triplet seesaw scenario that explains the observed neutrino masses, adopting a phenomenological approach where the decay branching ratios of the triplets and the amount of CP--violation in its different decay channels are assumed as free parameters. We find that the solutions of the relevant Boltzmann equations lead to a rich phenomenology, in particular much more complex compared to the non--supersymmetric case, mainly due to the presence of an additional Higgs doublet. Several unexpected and counter--intuitive behaviors emerge from our analysis: th…
We consider sub-TeV scale flavoured resonant leptogenesis within the minimal type-I seesaw scenario with two right-handed singlet neutrinos $N_{1,2}$ forming a pseudo-Dirac pair, concentrating on the case of masses of the pseudo-Dirac pair having values $M_{1,2} \lesssim 100$ GeV. The case when the CP violating asymmetries in the individual lepton charges $L_l$, $l=e,μ,τ$, and in the total lepton charge $L$ of the Universe are generated in $1 \leftrightarrow 2$ decay processes is investigated. We show that successful leptogenesis is possible for $M_{1,2}$ lying in the interval $M_{1,2} = (0.3 …
