We analyze the lepton flavor violating process $μ-e$ conversion in the framework of the minimal R-symmetric supersymmetric standard model. The theoretical predictions are determined by considering the experimental constraint on parameter $δ^{12}$ from the lepton flavor violating decay $μ\rightarrow e γ$. The numerical results show that $γ$ penguins and Z penguins dominate the predictions on CR($μ-e$,Nucleus), and the contributions from Higgs penguins and box diagrams are insignificant. The theoretical predictions on conversion rate CR($μ-e$,Nucleus) in a Al or Ti target can be enhanced close to the future experimental sensitivities and are very promising to be observed in near future experiment.
A detailed study of the muonic analogue of neutrinoless double beta decay, (muon^-,muon^+) conversion, has been carried out for the A=44 nuclear system. We studied several lepton number violating (LNV) mechanisms potentially triggering this process: exchange by light and heavy Majorana neutrinos as well as exchange by supersymmetric particles participating in R-parity violating interactions. The nuclear structure has been taken into account within the renormalized Quasiparticle Random Phase Approximation method. To our knowledge, this is the first realistic treatment of nuclear structure aspec…
Transition rates for coherent muon-electron conversion in muonic atoms, mu+N --> e+N, are computed for various types of muon number violating interactions. Attention is paid to relativistic atomic effects, Coulomb distortion, finite nuclear size, and nucleon distributions. Discrepancies with previously published results are pointed out and explained. Results are presented for several elements of current and future experimental interest.
Muon-electron conversion in nuclei is considered in the framework of the Dualized Standard Model. The ratio $B_{μ-e}$ of the conversion rate to the total muon capture rate is derived, and computed for several nuclei in a parameter-free calculation using parameters previously determined in different physical contexts. The values obtained all lie within the present experimental bounds, but some are so close as to seem readily accessible to experiments already being planned. Similar considerations are applied also to muon-electron conversion in muonium but give rates many orders of magnitude belo…
We study the lepton number violating muon-positron conversion in nuclei mediated by the exchange of virtual light Majorana neutrinos. We found that a previously overlooked imaginary part of this amplitude plays an important role. The numerical calculation has been made for the experimentally interesting muon-positron conversion in Ti48 using realistic renormalized proton-neutron QRPA wave functions. We also discuss the very similar case of the neutrinoless double beta decay of Ca48 The ratio of muon-positron conversion over the total muon absorption has been computed taking into account the cu…
In a supersymmetric extension of the standard model with local gauged baryon and lepton numbers (BLMSSM), there are new sources for lepton flavor violation, because the right-handed neutrinos, new gauginos and Higgs are introduced. We investigate muon conversion to electron in nuclei within the BLMSSM in detail. The numerical results indicate that the $μ\rightarrow e $ conversion rates in nuclei within the BLMSSM can reach the experimental upper bound, which may be detected in the future experiments.
The recent experimental results on neutrino oscillation and on muonium-antimuonium conversion require extension of the minimal 3-3-1 model. We review the constraints imposed to the model by those measurements and suggest a pattern of leptonic mixing, with charged leptons in a non-diagonal basis, which accounts for the neutrino physics and circumvents the tight muonium-antimuonium bounds on the model. We also illustrate a scenario where this pattern could be realized.
The coherent muon-electron conversion rates in various nuclei are calculated for general lepton flavor violating interactions. We solve the Dirac equations numerically for the initial state muon and the final state electron in the Coulomb force, and perform the overlap integrals between the wave functions and the nucleon densities. The results indicate that the conversion branching ratio increases for a light nucleus up to the atomic number Z ~ 30, is largest for Z = 30 -- 60, and becomes smaller for a heavy nucleus with Z > (~ 60). We also discuss the uncertainty from the input proton and neu…
We study the effect of the Higgs-exchange diagram for the lepton flavor violating muon-electron conversion process in nuclei in the supersymmetric seesaw model. The contribution is significant for a large value of tan beta and a small value of a neutral heavy Higgs boson mass, in which case the ratio of the branching ratios of B(mu N -> e N) / B(mu -> e gamma) is enhanced. We also show that the target atom dependence of the conversion branching ratio provides information on the size of the Higgs exchange diagram.
We study the $μ$-$e$ conversion in muonic atoms via an exchange of family gauge boson (FGB) $A_{2}^{\ 1}$ in a $U(3)$ FGB model. Within the class of FGB model, we consider three types of family-number assignments for quarks. We evaluate the $μ$-$e$ conversion rate for various target nuclei, and find that next generation $μ$-$e$ conversion search experiments can cover entire energy scale of the model for all of types of the quark family-number assignments. We show that the conversion rate in the model is so sensitive to up- and down-quark mixing matrices, $U^{u}$ and $U^{d}$, where the CKM matr…
The muon-to-electron conversion in nuclei like aluminum, titanium and gold is studied in the context of a class of mirror fermion model with non-sterile right-handed neutrinos having mass at the electroweak scale. At the limit of zero momentum transfer and large mirror lepton masses, we derive a simple formula to relate the conversion rate with the on-shell radiative decay rate of muon into electron. Current experimental limits (SINDRUM II) and projected sensitivities (Mu2e, COMET and PRISM) for the muon-to-electron conversion rates in various nuclei and latest limit from MEG for the radiative…
Within framework of the $μ$ from $ν$ Supersymmetric Standard Model ($μν$SSM), three exotic right-handed neutrino superfields induce new sources for lepton-flavor violation. In this work, we investigate muon conversion to electron in nuclei within the $μν$SSM in detail. With a 125 GeV Higgs, the numerical results indicate that the $μ-e$ conversion rates in nuclei within the $μν$SSM can reach the experimental upper bound, which could be detected with the future experimental sensitivities.
The muon anomalous magnetic dipole moment (MDM) is calculated in the framework of the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM). In this paper, we discuss how the muon MDM depends on the parameters in MSSM in detail. We show that the contribution of the superparticle-loop becomes significant especially when $\tanβ$ is large. Numerically, it becomes $O(10^{-8}-10^{-9})$ in a wide parameter space, which is within the reach of the new Brookhaven E821 experiment.
We have determined in detail the electron spectrum in the decay of bound muons. These results are especially relevant for the upcoming muon-electron conversion experiments.
We report on a two-loop supersymmetric contribution to the magnetic moment (g-2)_mu of the muon which is enhanced by two powers of tan(beta). This contribution arises from a shift in the relation between the muon mass and Yukawa coupling and can increase the supersymmetric contribution to (g-2)_mu sizably. As a result, if the currently observed 3 sigma deviation between the experimental and SM theory value of (g-2)_mu is analyzed within the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM), the derived constraints on the parameter space are modified significantly: If (g-2)_mu is used to determine t…
We present the results of the influence of the minimal supersymmetric standard model extended by an additional Higgs singlet N, with vacuum expectation value $v_N$, on the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon. This gives different mass matrices for the charginos and neutralinos, which are taken into account within the relevant penguin diagrams leading to a contribution $Δa_μ$\ to the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon. We show that a large vacuum expectation value for the Higgs singlet leads to a suppression of the supersymmetric contribution making it difficult to see in an experiment in …
In general, attempts to extend the standard model will include extra gauge structure. We parameterize string and technicolor models for a Z' boson with primitive lepton flavor violating interactions. Calculations for its muon conversion rate (mu N -> e N) on Titanium are made and used to show the potential of forthcoming experiments MECO at Brookhaven National Laboratory and PRIME at the Japan Hadron Facility (to be renamed). For reasonable choices of parameters, such U(1) bosons with masses the order 10 TeV and mu-e Z' charge as low as ~10^-5 are demonstrated to be accessible for MECO and PRI…
The effective supersymmetric theory (ESUSY) with R parity conservation cannot give a large anomalous magnetic moment of $μ$. It is pointed out that the flavor conservation and a large $(g-2)_μ$ within the experimental limits are achievable in the ESUSY with R parity violating couplings involving the third generation superparticles.
We investigate whether the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model with the scalar masses of the third generation distinct from the first two, in order to be able to accommodate the muon anomalous magnetic moment, is consistent with the latest results from LHCb, direct collider bounds from the ATLAS and CMS experiments. In particular, we show that this class of models allows for satisfying both the constraints from the muon $(g-2)_μ$ experiment and various bounds from the LHC. In addition, such models can also explain the observed dark matter relic density.
We present an estimate of the electron to muon conversion cross section in fixed-target elastic electron scattering. The matrix element $<μ| j_\mathrm{em}^μ(0) | e>$ is calculated analytically in two scenarios introducing suitable approximations. We consider on the one hand side the case of three light Dirac neutrinos with CKM-type leptonic mixing and on the other hand a typical see-saw scenario. We evaluate the coulombic contribution to the scattering cross section in the limit of vanishing energy transfer to the nucleus and, thus, obtain a realistic estimate for the total conversion cross se…
We propose the novel lepton-number relationship $L_τ= L_e + L_μ$, which is uniquely realized by the interaction $(\hat ν_e \hat μ- \hat e \hat ν_μ) \hat τ^c$ in supersymmetry and may account for a possibly large muon anomalous magnetic moment. Neutrino masses (with bimaximal mixing) may be generated from the spontaneous and soft breaking of this lepton symmetry.
The non-photonic neutrino exchange mechanism of the lepton flavor violating muon-electron conversion in nuclei is revisited. First we determine the nucleon coupling constants for the neutrino exchange mechanism in a relativistic quark model taking into account quark confinement and chiral symmetry requirements. This includes a new, previously overlooked tree-level contribution from neutrino exchange between two quarks in the same nucleon. Then for the case of an additional sterile neutrino we reconsider the coherent mode of this process. The presence of a mixed sterile-active neutrino state he…
For the purpose of minimizing the number of sample model evaluations, we propose and study algorithms that utilize (sequential) versions of likelihood-to-evidence ratio neural estimation. We apply our algorithms to a supersymmetric interpretation of the anomalous muon magnetic dipole moment in the context of a phenomenological minimal supersymmetric extension of the standard model, and recover non-trivial models in an experimentally-constrained theory space. Finally we summarize further potential possible uses of these algorithms in future studies.

We consider L-violating Supersymmetric Models to explain the recent muon $g_μ -2$ deviation from the Standard Model. The order of trilinear L-violating couplings which we require also generate neutrino mass which is somewhat higher than expected unless one considers highly suppressed $L-R$ mixing of sfermions. However, without such fine tuning for sfermions it is possible to get appropriate muon $g_μ-2$ deviation as well as neutrino mass if one considers some horizontal symmetry for the lepton doublet. Our studies show that $g_μ -2$ deviation may not imply upper bound of about 500 GeV on masse…
We compute the muon to electron conversion in the type-I seesaw model, as a function of the right-handed neutrino mixings and masses. The results are compared with previous computations in the literature. We determine the definite predictions resulting for the ratios between the muon to electron conversion rate for a given nucleus and the rate of two other processes which also involve a mu-e flavour transition: mu -> e gamma and mu -> eee. For a quasi-degenerate mass spectrum of right-handed neutrino masses -which is the most natural scenario leading to observable rates- those ratios depend on…
We present a new class of constraints to the lepton-family number and R-parity violating couplings from muonium conversion, $μ^{-} + {_{22}^{48}} Ti \to e^{-} + {_{22}^{48}} Ti$, a class of tau decays, $τ\to l +$ (light meson) with $l= μor e$, and $J/ψ$ and $π^0$ decays into a lepton pair. We find that $μ^{-} + {_{22}^{48}} Ti \to e^- + {_{22}^{48}} Ti$ provides one of the strongest constraints along with $Δm_{K}, Δm_{B}$, $μ\to e γ$ and the neutrinoless double $β$ decay. Search for these lepton-family number violating (LFNV) decays forbidden in the standard model is clearly warranted in vario…
We study the muon anomalous magnetic dipole moment in supersymmetric theories. The impact of the recent Brookhaven E821 experimental measurement on both model-independent and model-dependent supersymmetric parameter spaces is discussed in detail. We find that values of tanβas low as 3 can be obtained while remaining within the E821 one-sigma bound. This requires a light smuon; however, we show that, somewhat surprisingly, no model-independent bound can be placed on the mass of the lightest chargino for any tanβgreater than or equal to 3. We also show that the maximum contributions to the anoma…
The present work investigates the possibility that both dark matter and the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon may be explained within the context of the inverse seesaw extended Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (ISS-NMSSM). In ISS-NMSSM, the newly introduced Higgs-neutrino Yukawa coupling $Y_ν$ provides additional Higgsino-sneutrino loop contribution to $(g-2)_μ$. If the deviation between the experimental observations and the Standard Model predictions of the anomalous muon magnetic moment is confirmed by the further experimental and theoretical studies, it can be explained nat…
The flavor violating $μ^--e^-$ conversion in nuclei is studied within the minimal supersymmetric standard model. We focus on the R-parity violating contributions at tree level including the trilinear and the bilinear terms in the superpotential as well as in the soft supersymmetry breaking sector. The nucleon and nuclear structure have consistently been taken into account in the expression of the $μ^--e^-$ conversion branching ratio constructed in this framework. We have found that the contribution of the strange quark sea of the nucleon is comparable with that of the valence quarks. From the …
We study the muon anomalous magnetic moment (muon g-2) and the Higgs boson mass in a simple extension of the minimal supersymmetric (SUSY) Standard Model with extra vector-like matters, in the frameworks of gauge mediated SUSY breaking (GMSB) models and gravity mediation (mSUGRA) models. It is shown that the deviation of the muon g-2 and a relatively heavy Higgs boson can be simultaneously explained in large tan-beta region. (i) In GMSB models, the Higgs mass can be more than 135 GeV (130 GeV) in the region where muon g-2 is consistent with the experimental value at the 2 sigma (1 sigma) level…
We present a detailed and complete calculation of the doubly charged Higgsino contribution to the decays mu--> e photon and mu--> 3e and to the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon within the left-right supersymmetric model. We include the mixing of the scalar partners of the left and right handed leptons, and show that it leads to a strong enhancement of the decay modes in certain scenarios. We find that the contribution of the doubly charged Higgsino can be close to the known experimental values and are reachable by future experiments.
The prediction for the quartic coupling of the SM-like Higgs boson constrains the parameter space of SUSY models, even in scenarios where all of the new-particle masses are above the scale probed so far by the LHC. We study the implications of the Higgs-mass prediction on a recently-proposed SUSY model that features two pairs of Higgs doublets, and provides a solution to the g-2 anomaly thanks to a suitable enhancement of the muon Yukawa coupling.
We attribute deviations of the muon and electron magnetic moments from the theoretical predictions to the presence of an additional $U(1)^\prime$ supersymmetric model. We interpret the discrepancies between the muon and electron anomalous magnetic moments to be due to the presence of non-universal $U(1)^\prime$ charges. In a minimally extended model, we show that requiring both deviations to be satisfied imposes constraints on the spectrum of the model, in particular on dark matter candidates and slepton masses and ordering. Choosing three benchmarks with distinct dark matter features, we stud…
The electron and muon number violating muonium-antimuonium oscillation process in an extended Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model is investigated. The Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model is modified by the inclusion of three right-handed neutrino superfields. While the model allows the neutrino mass terms to mix among the different generations, the sneutrino and slepton mass terms have only intra-generation lepton number violation but not inter-generation lepton number mixing. So doing, the muonium-antimuonium conversion can then be used to constrain those model parameters which avoid furt…
Recent results of two interesting classes of supersymmetric two-loop contributions to (g-2)_mu are presented. Two-loop diagrams involving a closed sfermion loop can amount to 5*10^{-10} or almost one standard deviation of the current experimental uncertainty, and two-loop diagrams with a closed chargino/neutralino loop can be similarly large. The dependence of these two classes on the unknown supersymmetric parameters and the sensitivity on existing experimental constraints on the parameter space are quite different. We also comment on the calculational techniques, in particular the large mass…
The muon transverse polarization in the $K^+ \leftarrow π^0 μ^+ ν_μ$ decay will be measured at the $10^{-4}$ level in forthcoming experiments. We compare the phenomenological perspectives with the theoretical predictions in supersymmetric extensions of the standard model. In the minimal extension, CP-violating phases lead to a non-zero transverse polarization, that however is too small to account for a positive experimental signal. The problems that one encounters when departing from minimal assumptions are discussed. An observable effect is possible if the hypothesis of R-parity conservation …
Lepton flavor violating processes $μ\to e γ$ and $μ\to 3e$ with polarized muons are studied in the supersymmetric grand unified theory (SUSY GUT). As a result of a detailed numerical calculation, it is shown that the P- and T-odd asymmetries defined with the help of the muon polarization and the ratio of two branching fractions make a good contrast between the SU(5) and SO(10) SUSY GUT. These observables are useful to extract differences of the two theories. In particular, the P-odd asymmetry of $μ\to e γ$ varies 100%--100% in SO(10) whereas it is 100% in SU(5) and the T-odd asymmetry of $μ\to…
We study the impact of present and future $(g-2)_μ$ measurements on supersymmetric models. The corrections to $(g-2)_μ$ become particularly relevant in the presence of light sleptons, charginos and neutralinos, especially in the large $\tanβ$ regime. For moderate or large values of $\tanβ$, it is possible to rule out scenarios in which charginos and sneutrinos are both light, but nevertheless escape detection at the LEP2 collider. Furthermore, models in which supersymmetry breaking is transferred to the observable sector through gauge interactions can be efficiently constrained by the $(g-2)_μ…
There is no guarantee that the violation of lepton number, assuming it exists, will primarily manifest itself in neutrinoless double beta decay ($0νββ$). Lepton-number violation and lepton-flavor violation may be related, and much-needed information regarding the physics that violates lepton number can be learned by exploring observables that violate lepton flavors other than electron flavor. One of the most promising observables is $μ^- \rightarrow e^+$ conversion, which can be explored by experiments that are specifically designed to search for $μ^- \rightarrow e^-$ conversion. We survey lep…
A lepton-flavor violating (LFV) Z' boson may mimic some of the phenomena usually attributed to supersymmetric theories. Using a conservative model of LFV Z' bosons, the recent BNL E821 muon g-2 deviation allows for a LFV Z' interpretation with a boson mass up to 4.8 TeV while staying within limits set by muon conversion, mu -> e gamma, and mu -> eee. This model is immediately testable as one to twenty e^+e^- -> mu tau events are predicted for an analysis of the LEP II data. Future muon conversion experiments, MECO and PRIME, are demonstrated to have potential to probe very high boson masses wi…
In the recently proposed minimal supersymmetric SO(10) model, the neutrino Dirac Yukawa coupling matrix, together with all the other fermion mass matrices, is completely determined once free parameters in the model are appropriately fixed so as to accommodate the recent neutrino oscillation data. Using this unambiguous neutrino Dirac Yukawa couplings, we calculate the lepton flavor violating (LFV) processes and the muon g-2 assuming the minimal supergravity scenario. The resultant rates of the LFV processes are found to be large enough to well exceed the proposed future experimental bound, whi…
The supersymmetric contribution to the muon g-2 is studied in light of the finalization of the LEP electroweak precision data. The recent precise measurement of the muon g-2 of E821 experiment is explained well by the relatively light chargino and sleptons. We find that such the MSSM parameter space is also favored from the electroweak precision data, in which the fit to the data is better than that of the SM (Δχ^2_{min} \sim -2), if the lighter chargino has a mixed higgsino-wino character (μ/M_2 \sim 1). The models with light gauginos (μ/M_2 > 10) or light higgsinos (μ/M_2 < 0.1) also show th…
We investigate the muon anomalous magnetic moment in the context of the supersymmetric version of the economical 3-3-1 model. We compute the 1-loop contribution of super-partner particles. We show that contribution of superparticle loop becomes significant when \tan γis large. We investigate for both small and large values of $\tan γ$. We find the region of the parameter space where the slepton masses are of a few hundreds GeV is favour by the muon g-2 for small \tan γ(\tan γ\sim 5 ). Numerical estimation gives the mass of supersymmetric particle, the mass of gauginos m_G \sim 700 GeV and ligh…
We study muonium-antimuonium conversion and mu+ e- to mu- e+ scattering within two different lepton-flavor-violating models with heavy neutrinos: model I is a typical seesaw that violates lepton number as well as flavor; model II has a neutrino mass texture where lepton number is conserved. We look for the largest possible amplitudes of these processes that are consistent with current bounds. We find that model I has very limited chance of providing an observable signal, except if a finely tuned condition in parameter space occurs. Model II, on the other hand, requires no fine tuning and could…
We study the muon magnetic dipole moment and the Higgs mass in the framework of the supersymmetric SU(5) models. In this analysis, all the relevant parameters in the Lagrangian are taken to be free; in particular, assumption of the universal scalar mass is not adopted. Negative search for the Higgs boson at the LEP II experiment sets an important constraint on the supersymmetric contribution to the muon magnetic dipole moment a_μ(SUSY). It is shown that, for a fixed value of the lightest Higgs mass, the maximum possible value of a_μ(SUSY) becomes significantly larger in the general SU(5) case …
In detection of electrons from $μ\to e $ conversion process the monochromatic electron spectrum is transformed due to a photon emission and fluctuations of energy loss in a target. The selection criterion of $μ\to e (γ)$ conversion events is an electron momentum above the threshold momentum of 103.5 MeV/c, which corresponds to the maximum energy loss of 1.5 MeV. Radiative corrections including a virtual photon correction and soft photon emission below 1.5 MeV lead to a reduction by about 10% in the probability of $μ\to e $ conversion process calculated without radiative corrections. The soft p…
We investigate Lepton-Flavor Violating (LFV) decays of Higgs to muon-tau in the supersymmetric economical 3-3-1 (SUSYE331) model. In the presence of flavor mixing in sleptons {mu,tau} and large values of v/v', the ratio of Br(H -->tau^+mu^-)/Br(H -->tau^+tau^-) can reach to non-negligible values O(10^{-3}), as in many known SUSY models. We predict that for the Standard Model Higgs boson, the LHC may detect its decay to muon and tauon. We also investigate the asymmetry between left and right LFV values of corrections and prove that the LFV effects are dominated by the left FLV term, which is O(…
$μ^{+} \to e^{+} γ$ and $μ^{+} \to e^{+}e^{+}e^{-}$ processes are analyzed in detail with polarized muons in supersymmetric grand unified theories. We first present Dalitz plot distribution for $μ^{+} \to e^{+}e^{+}e^{-}$ decay based on effective Lagrangian with general lepton-flavor-violating couplings and define various P- and T-odd asymmetries. We calculate branching ratios and asymmetries in supersymmetric SU(5) and SO(10) models taking into account complex soft supersymmetry breaking terms. Imposing constraints from experimental bounds on the electron, neutron and atomic electric dipole m…
In models where lepton number is considered to be a spontaneously-broken global symmetry a massless Goldstone boson, the majoron (J), appears. We describe a procedure to explore the muon-electron-majoron coupling using the results from mu-e conversion search experiments. To accomplish that, we determine how the energy spectrum of the muon decay into an electron and a majoron is modified by binding effects in a muonic atom. We find that the future mu-to-e conversion experiments may be able to produce bounds on the mu->eJ rate which are comparable with the present ones from direct searches.
The lepton-flavor-violating conversion of a muon into an electron in the field of a nucleus is one of the most sensitive probes of physics beyond the Standard Model and the experiments Mu2e, COMET, and DeeMe will explore uncharted terrain in the near future. An observation of this $μ^-\to e^-$ conversion process opens up the possibility to distinguish the underlying operator or new-physics model by exploiting the target-nucleus dependence of the conversion rate. To facilitate the choice of optimal targets we provide $μ^-\to e^-$ conversion rates for all stable isotopes and estimate nuclear-str…
We study a GUT-inspired supersymmetric model with non-universal gaugino masses that can explain the observed muon g-2 anomaly while simultaneously accommodating an enhancement or suppression in the h \rightarrowγγdecay channel. In order to accommodate these observations and m_h \simeq 125-126 GeV, the model requires a spectrum consisting of relatively light sleptons whereas the colored sparticles are heavy. The predicted stau mass range corresponding to R_{γγ}\ge 1.1 is 100 {\rm \ GeV} \lesssim m_{\tildeτ} \lesssim 200 {\rm \ GeV}. The constraint on the slepton masses, particularly on the smuo…
We study the naturalness, dark matter, and muon anomalous magnetic moment in the Supersymmetric Standard Models (SSMs) with a pseudo-Dirac gluino (PDGSSMs) from hybrid $F-$ and $D-$term supersymmetry (SUSY) breakings. To obtain the observed dark matter relic density and explain the muon anomalous magnetic moment, we find that the low energy fine-tuning measures are larger than about 30 due to strong constraints from the LUX and PANDAX experiments. Thus, to study the natural PDGSSMs, we consider multi-component dark matter and then the relic density of the lighest supersymmetric particle (LSP) …
We study the muon anomalous magnetic moment a_μ= (g_μ- 2)/2 in a supersymmetric U(1)' model. The neutralino sector has extra components from the superpartners of the U(1)' gauge boson and the extra Higgs singlets that break the U(1)' symmetry. The theoretical maximum bound on the lightest neutralino mass is much smaller than that of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) because of the mixing pattern of the extra components. In a U(1)' model where the U(1)' symmetry is broken by a secluded sector (the S-model), tanβis required to be < 3 to have realistic electroweak symmetry breaking…
The recent measurement of a_μ=\frac{g_μ-2}{2} by the E821 Collaboration at Brookhaven deviates from the quoted Standard Model (SM) central value prediction by 2.6σ. The difference between SM theory and experiment may be easily accounted for in a variety of particle physics models employing weak scale supersymmetry (SUSY). Other supersymmetric models are distinctly disfavored. We evaluate a_μfor various supersymmetric models, including minimal supergravity (mSUGRA), Yukawa unified SO(10) SUSY GUTs, models with inverted mass hierarchies (IMH), models with non-universal gaugino masses, gauge medi…
We study if a sizeable muon electric dipole can arise in supersymmetric frameworks able to account for the tight experimental bounds on sfermion masses, like an appropriate flavor symmetry, or like a flavor-blind mechanism of SUSY breaking (in presence of radiative corrections charchteristic of GUT models, or due to Yukawa couplings of neutrinos in see-saw models). In some cases it is possible to evade the naive scaling d_mu/d_e = m_mu/m_e and obtain a d_mu as large as 10^{-22--23} e cm. In most cases d_mu is around 10^{-24--25} e cm and (d_mu/d_e)/(m_mu/m_e) is only slightly different from on…
We investigate a possibility that the $μ^-\to e^+$ conversion is discovered prior to the $μ^-\to e^-$ conversion, and its implications to the new physics search. We focus on the specific model including the mixing of the $SU(2)_L$ doublet- and singlet-type scalar leptoquarks, which induces not only the lepton flavor violation but also the lepton number violation. Such a structure is motivated by R-parity violating (RPV) supersymmetric models, where a sbottom mediates the conversion processes. We formulate the $μ^-\to e^+$ rate in analogy with the muon capture in a muonic atom, and numerically …
