We report the discovery and validation of four extrasolar planets hosted by the nearby, bright, Sun-like (G3V) star HD~108236 using data from the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS). We present transit photometry, reconnaissance and precise Doppler spectroscopy as well as high-resolution imaging, to validate the planetary nature of the objects transiting HD~108236, also known as the TESS Object of Interest (TOI) 1233. The innermost planet is a possibly-rocky super-Earth with a period of $3.79523_{-0.00044}^{+0.00047}$ days and has a radius of $1.586\pm0.098$ $R_\oplus$. The outer planets are sub-Neptunes, with potential gaseous envelopes, having radii of $2.068_{-0.091}^{+0.10}$ $R_\oplus$, $2.72\pm0.11$ $R_\oplus$, and $3.12_{-0.12}^{+0.13}$ $R_\oplus$ and periods of $6.20370_{-0.00052}^{+0.00064}$ days, $14.17555_{-0.0011}^{+0.00099}$ days, and $19.5917_{-0.0020}^{+0.0022}$ days, respectively. With V and K$_{\rm s}$ magnitudes of 9.2 and 7.6, respectively, the bright host star makes the transiting planets favorable targets for mass measurements and, potentially, for atmospheric characterization via transmission spectroscopy. HD~108236 is the brightest Sun-like star in the visual (V) band known to host four or more transiting exoplanets. The discovered planets span a broad range of planetary radii and equilibrium temperatures, and share a common history of insolation from a Sun-like star ($R_\star = 0.888 \pm 0.017$ R$_\odot$, $T_{\rm eff} = 5730 \pm 50$ K), making HD 108236 an exciting, opportune cosmic laboratory for testing models of planet formation and evolution.
We aim at the discovery of new planetary systems by exploiting the transit light curve results from TESS orbital observatory's Sector 1 and 2 observations and validating them with precise Doppler measurements obtained from archival HARPS data. Taking advantage of the reported TESS transit events around GJ143 (TOI 186) and HD23472 (TOI 174) we model their HARPS precise Doppler measurements and derive orbital parameters for these two systems. For the GJ143 system TESS has reported only a single transit, and thus its period is unconstrained from photometry. Our RV analysis of GJ143 reveal the ful…
We statistically validated a sample of hot Neptune candidates applying a two-step vetting technique using DAVE and TRICERATOPS. We performed a systematic validation of 250 transit-like events in the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) archive in the parameter region defined by $P\leq 4$ d and $3R_\oplus\leq R\leq 5R_\oplus$. Through our analysis, we identified 18 hot Neptune-sized candidates, with a false positive probability $<50\%$. Nine of these planet candidates still need to be confirmed. For each of the nine targets we retrieved the stellar parameters using ARIADNE and derived c…
We present new Spitzer transit observations of four K2 transiting sub-Neptunes: K2-36c, K2-79b, K2-167b, and K2-212b. We derive updated orbital ephemerides and radii for these planets based on a joint analysis of the Spitzer, TESS, and K2 photometry. We use the EVEREST pipeline to provide improved K2 photometry, by detrending instrumental noise and K2's pointing jitter. We used a pixel level decorrelation method on the Spitzer observations to reduce instrumental systematic effects. We modeled the effect of possible blended eclipsing binaries, seeking to validate these planets via the achromati…
We report the discovery and confirmation of the planetary system TOI-1288. This late G dwarf harbours two planets: TOI-1288 b and TOI-1288 c. We combine TESS space-borne and ground-based transit photometry with HARPS-N and HIRES high-precision Doppler measurements, which we use to constrain the masses of both planets in the system and the radius of planet b. TOI-1288~b has a period of $2.699835^{+0.000004}_{-0.000003}$ d, a radius of $5.24 \pm 0.09$ R$_\oplus$, and a mass of $42 \pm 3$ M$_\oplus$, making this planet a hot transiting super-Neptune situated right in the Neptunian desert. This de…
TOI-1695 is a V-mag=13 M-dwarf star from the northern hemisphere at 45$\,$pc from the Sun, around which a 3.134-day periodic transit signal from a super-Earth candidate was identified in TESS photometry. With a transit depth of 1.3$\,$mmag, the radius of candidate TOI-1695.01 was estimated by the TESS pipeline to be 1.82$\,$R$_\oplus$ with an equilibrium temperature of $\sim 620\,$K. We successfully detect a reflex motion of the star and establish it is due to a planetary companion at an orbital period consistent with the photometric transit period thanks to a year-long radial-velocity monitor…
In this paper we report the discovery of TOI-220 $b$, a new sub-Neptune detected by the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) and confirmed by radial velocity follow-up observations with the HARPS spectrograph. Based on the combined analysis of TESS transit photometry and high precision radial velocity measurements we estimate a planetary mass of 13.8 $\pm$ 1.0 M$_{Earth}$ and radius of 3.03 $\pm$ 0.15 R$_{Earth}$, implying a bulk density of 2.73 $\pm$ 0.47 $\textrm{g cm}^{-3}$. TOI-220 $b$ orbits a relative bright (V=10.4) and old (10.1$\pm$1.4 Gyr) K dwarf star with a period of $\sim$…
We measured the Rossiter-McLaughlin effect of WASP-107b during a single transit with Keck/HIRES. We found the sky-projected inclination of WASP-107b's orbit, relative to its host star's rotation axis, to be $|λ| = {118}^{+38}_{-19}$ degrees. This confirms the misaligned/polar orbit that was previously suggested from spot-crossing events and adds WASP-107b to the growing population of hot Neptunes in polar orbits around cool stars. WASP-107b is also the fourth such planet to have a known distant planetary companion. We examined several dynamical pathways by which this companion could have induc…
The Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (\textit{TESS}) mission was designed to perform an all-sky search of planets around bright and nearby stars. Here we report the discovery of two sub-Neptunes orbiting around the TOI 1062 (TIC 299799658), a V=10.25 G9V star observed in the TESS Sectors 1, 13, 27 & 28. We use precise radial velocity observations from HARPS to confirm and characterize these two planets. TOI 1062b has a radius of 2.265^{+0.095}_{-0.091} Re, a mass of 11.8 +\- 1.4 Me, and an orbital period of 4.115050 +/- 0.000007 days. The second planet is not transiting, has a minimum mas…
We report the discovery of HIP-97166b (TOI-1255b), a transiting sub-Neptune on a 10.3-day orbit around a K0 dwarf 68 pc from Earth. This planet was identified in a systematic search of TESS Objects of Interest for planets with eccentric orbits, based on a mismatch between the observed transit duration and the expected duration for a circular orbit. We confirmed the planetary nature of HIP-97166b with ground-based radial velocity measurements and measured a mass of $M_{b} =$ 20 $\pm$ 2 $M_\bigoplus$ along with a radius of $R_{b} =$ 2.7 $\pm$ 0.1 $R_\bigoplus$ from photometry. We detected an add…
The future of exoplanet science is bright, as TESS once again demonstrates with the discovery of its longest-period confirmed planet to date. We hereby present HD 21749b (TOI 186.01), a sub-Neptune in a 36-day orbit around a bright (V = 8.1) nearby (16 pc) K4.5 dwarf. TESS measures HD21749b to be 2.61$^{+0.17}_{-0.16}$ $R_{\oplus}$, and combined archival and follow-up precision radial velocity data put the mass of the planet at $22.7^{+2.2}_{-1.9}$ $M_{\oplus}$. HD 21749b contributes to the TESS Level 1 Science Requirement of providing 50 transiting planets smaller than 4 $R_{\oplus}$ with mea…
We report the discovery of an eccentric hot Neptune and a non-transiting outer planet around TOI-1272. We identified the eccentricity of the inner planet, with an orbital period of 3.3 d and $R_{\rm p,b} = 4.1 \pm 0.2$ $R_\oplus$, based on a mismatch between the observed transit duration and the expected duration for a circular orbit. Using ground-based radial velocity measurements from the HIRES instrument at the Keck Observatory, we measured the mass of TOI-1272b to be $M_{\rm p,b} = 25 \pm 2$ $M_\oplus$. We also confirmed a high eccentricity of $e_b = 0.34 \pm 0.06$, placing TOI-1272b among…
We report the discovery in TESS data and validation of HD 56414 b (a.k.a. TOI-1228 b), a Neptune-size ($R_{\rm p} = 3.71 \pm 0.20\, R_\oplus$) planet with a 29-day orbital period transiting a young (Age = $420 \pm 140$ Myr) A-type star in the TESS southern continuous viewing zone. HD 56414 is one of the hottest stars ($T_{\rm eff} = 8500 \pm 150 \, {\rm K}$) to host a known sub-Jovian planet. HD 56414 b lies on the boundary of the hot Neptune desert in planet radius -- bolometric insolation flux space, suggesting that the planet may be experiencing mass loss. To explore this, we apply a photoe…
The Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite mission was designed to find transiting planets around bright, nearby stars. Here we present the detection and mass measurement of a small, short-period ($\approx\,4$\,days) transiting planet around the bright ($V=7.9$), solar-type star HD 86226 (TOI-652, TIC 22221375), previously known to host a long-period ($\sim$1600 days) giant planet. HD 86226c (TOI-652.01) has a radius of $2.16\pm0.08$ $R_{\oplus}$ and a mass of 7.25$^{+1.19}_{-1.12}$ $M_{\oplus}$ based on archival and new radial velocity data. We also update the parameters of the longer-period, …
The Kepler and TESS missions revealed a remarkable abundance of sub-Neptune exoplanets. Despite this abundance, our understanding of the nature and compositional diversity of sub-Neptunes remains limited, to a large part because atmospheric studies via transmission spectroscopy almost exclusively aimed for low-density sub-Neptunes and even those were often affected by high-altitude clouds. The recent TESS discovery of the hot, dense TOI-824b ($2.93\,R_\oplus$ and $18.47\,M_\oplus$) opens a new window into sub-Neptune science by enabling the study of a dense sub-Neptune via secondary eclipses. …
Non-rocky sub-jovian exoplanets in high irradiation environments are rare. LTT 9979b, also known as TESS Object of Interest (TOI) 193.01, is one of the few such planets discovered to date, and the first example of an ultra-hot Neptune. The planet's bulk density indicates that it has a substantial atmosphere, so to investigate its atmospheric composition and shed further light on its origin, we obtained {\it Spitzer} IRAC secondary eclipse observations of LTT 9979b at 3.6 and 4.5 $μ$m. We combined the {\it Spitzer} observations with a measurement of the secondary eclipse in the {\it TESS} bandp…
The TESS mission has enabled discoveries of the brightest transiting planet systems around young stars. These systems are the benchmarks for testing theories of planetary evolution. We report the discovery of a mini-Neptune transiting a bright star in the AB Doradus moving group. HIP 94235 (TOI-4399, TIC 464646604) is a Vmag=8.31 G-dwarf hosting a 3.00 -0.28/+0.32 Rearth mini-Neptune in a 7.7 day period orbit. HIP 94235 is part of the AB Doradus moving group, one of the youngest and closest associations. Due to its youth, the host star exhibits significant photometric spot modulation, lithium …
We report the discovery and characterization of the transiting extrasolar planet TOI-1710$\:$b. It was first identified as a promising candidate by the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS). Its planetary nature was then established with SOPHIE and HARPS-N spectroscopic observations via the radial-velocity method. The stellar parameters for the host star are derived from the spectra and a joint Markov chain Monte-Carlo (MCMC) adjustment of the spectral energy distribution and evolutionary tracks of TOI-1710. A joint MCMC analysis of the TESS light curve and the radial-velocity evolution…
Hot Jupiters are rarely accompanied by other planets within a factor of a few in orbital distance. Previously, only two such systems have been found. Here, we report the discovery of a third system using data from the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS). The host star, TOI-1130, is an 11th magnitude K-dwarf in the Gaia G band. It has two transiting planets: a Neptune-sized planet ($3.65\pm 0.10$ $R_E$) with a 4.1-day period, and a hot Jupiter ($1.50^{+0.27}_{-0.22}$ $R_J$) with an 8.4-day period. Precise radial-velocity observations show that the mass of the hot Jupiter is $0.974^{+0.…
We report the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) discovery of a three-planet system around the bright Sun-like star HD~22946(V=8.3 mag),also known as TIC~100990000, located 63 parsecs away. The system was observed by TESS in Sectors 3, 4, 30 and 31 and two planet candidates, labelled TESS Objects of Interest (TOIs) 411.01 (planet $c$) and 411.02 (planet $b$), were identified on orbits of 9.57 and 4.04 days, respectively. In this work, we validate the two planets and recover an additional single transit-like signal in the light curve, which suggests the presence of a third transiting p…
We report the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite ($TESS$) detection of a multi-planet system orbiting the $V=10.9$ K0 dwarf TOI 125. We find evidence for up to five planets, with varying confidence. Three high signal-to-noise transit signals correspond to sub-Neptune-sized planets ($2.76$, $2.79$, and $2.94\ R_{\oplus}$), and we statistically validate the planetary nature of the two inner planets ($P_b = 4.65$ days, $P_c = 9.15$ days). With only two transits observed, we report the outer object ($P_{.03} = 19.98$ days) as a high signal-to-noise ratio planet candidate. We also detect a candi…
We report the discovery and characterization of a transiting warm sub-Neptune planet around the nearby bright ($V=8.75$ mag, $K=7.15$ mag) solar twin HD 183579, delivered by the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS). The host star is located $56.8\pm0.1$ pc away with a radius of $R_{\ast}=0.97\pm0.02\ R_{\odot}$ and a mass of $M_{\ast}=1.03\pm0.05\ M_{\odot}$. We confirm the planetary nature by combining space and ground-based photometry, spectroscopy, and imaging. We find that HD 183579b (TOI-1055b) has a radius of $R_{p}=3.53\pm0.13\ R_{\oplus}$ on a $17.47$ day orbit with a mass of $…
We report the discovery and characterization of TOI-1759~b, a temperate (400 K) sub-Neptune-sized exoplanet orbiting the M~dwarf TOI-1759 (TIC 408636441). TOI-1759 b was observed by TESS to transit on sectors 16, 17 and 24, with only one transit observed per sector, creating an ambiguity on the orbital period of the planet candidate. Ground-based photometric observations, combined with radial-velocity measurements obtained with the CARMENES spectrograph, confirm an actual period of $18.85019 \pm 0.00014$ d. A joint analysis of all available photometry and radial velocities reveal a radius of $…
We present the discovery of two small planets transiting HD 93963A (TOI-1797), a G0\,V star (M$_*$=1.109\,$\pm$\,0.043\,M$_\odot$, R$_*$=1.043\,$\pm$\,0.009\,R$_\odot$) in a visual binary system. We combined TESS and CHEOPS space-borne photometry with data from MuSCAT 2, `Alopeke, PHARO, TRES, FIES, and SOPHIE. We validated and spectroscopically confirmed the outer transiting planet HD 93963 Ac, a sub-Neptune with an orbital period of P$_c \approx$ 3.65 d, reported as a TESS object of interest (TOI) shortly after the release of Sector 22 data. HD 93963 Ac has a mass of M$_c = 19.2 \pm 4.1$ M$_…
Very little is known about the young planet population because the detection of small planets orbiting young stars is obscured by the effects of stellar activity and fast rotation which mask planets within radial velocity and transit data sets. The few planets that have been discovered in young clusters generally orbit stars too faint for any detailed follow-up analysis. Here we present the characterization of a new mini-Neptune planet orbiting the bright (V=9) and nearby K2 dwarf star, HD 18599. The planet candidate was originally detected in TESS light curves from Sectors 2, 3, 29, and 30, w…
We investigate the exoplanet candidate TOI-1422b, which was discovered by the TESS space telescope around the high proper-motion G2V star TOI-1422 ($V=10.6$ mag), 155pc away, with the primary goal of confirming its planetary nature and characterising its properties. We monitored TOI-1422 with the HARPS-N spectrograph for 1.5 years to precisely quantify its radial velocity variation. The radial velocity measurements are analyzed jointly with TESS photometry and we also check for blended companions through high-spatial resolution images using the AstraLux instrument. We estimate that the parent …
The detection and characterization of young planetary systems offers a direct path to study the processes that shape planet evolution. We report on the discovery of a sub-Neptune-size planet orbiting the young star HD 110082 (TOI-1098). Transit events we initially detected during TESS Cycle 1 are validated with time-series photometry from Spitzer. High-contrast imaging and high-resolution, optical spectra are also obtained to characterize the stellar host and confirm the planetary nature of the transits. The host star is a late F dwarf (M=1.2 Msun) with a low-mass, M dwarf binary companion (M=…
TOI-216 hosts a pair of warm, large exoplanets discovered by the TESS Mission. These planets were found to be in or near the 2:1 resonance, and both of them exhibit transit timing variations (TTVs). Precise characterization of the planets' masses and radii, orbital properties, and resonant behavior can test theories for the origins of planets orbiting close to their stars. Previous characterization of the system using the first six sectors of TESS data suffered from a degeneracy between planet mass and orbital eccentricity. Radial velocity measurements using HARPS, FEROS, and PFS break that de…
The Neptune desert is a feature seen in the radius-mass-period plane, whereby a notable dearth of short period, Neptune-like planets is found. Here we report the {\it TESS} discovery of a new short-period planet in the Neptune desert, orbiting the G-type dwarf TYC\,8003-1117-1 (TOI-132). {\it TESS} photometry shows transit-like dips at the level of $\sim$1400 ppm occurring every $\sim$2.11 days. High-precision radial velocity follow-up with HARPS confirmed the planetary nature of the transit signal and provided a semi-amplitude radial velocity variation of $\sim$11.5 m s$^{-1}$, which, when co…
We report the detection and characterization of the transiting sub-Neptune TOI-1759 b, using photometric time-series from TESS and near infrared spectropolarimetric data from SPIRou on the CFHT. TOI-1759 b orbits a moderately active M0V star with an orbital period of $18.849975\pm0.000006$ d, and we measure a planetary radius and mass of $3.06\pm0.22$ R$_\oplus$ and $6.8\pm2.0$ M$_\oplus$. Radial velocities were extracted from the SPIRou spectra using both the CCF and the LBL methods, optimizing the velocity measurements in the near infrared domain. We analyzed the broadband SED of the star an…
Multi-planet systems are valuable arenas for investigating exoplanet architectures and comparing planetary siblings. TOI-1246 is one such system, with a moderately bright K dwarf ($\rm{V=11.6,~K=9.9}$) and four transiting sub-Neptunes identified by TESS with orbital periods of $4.31~\rm{d},~5.90~\rm{d},~18.66~\rm{d}$, and $~37.92~\rm{d}$. We collected 130 radial velocity observations with Keck/HIRES and TNG/HARPS-N to measure planet masses. We refit the 14 sectors of TESS photometry to refine planet radii ($\rm{2.97 \pm 0.06~R_\oplus},\rm{2.47 \pm 0.08~R_\oplus}, \rm{3.46 \pm 0.09~R_\oplus}$, …

TOI-270d is a temperate sub-Neptune discovered by the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) around a bright (J=9.1mag) M3V host star. With an approximate radius of 2RE and equilibrium temperature of 350K, TOI-270d is one of the most promising small exoplanets for atmospheric characterisation using transit spectroscopy. Here we present a primary transit observation of TOI-270d made with the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) Wide Field Camera 3 (WFC3) spectrograph across the 1.126-1.644 micron wavelength range, and a 95% credible upper limit of $8.2 \times 10^{-14}$ erg s$^{-1}$ cm$^{-2}$ A$^{…
The NASA space telescope $TESS$ is currently in the extended mission of its all-sky search for new transiting planets. Of the thousands of candidates that TESS is expected to deliver, transiting planets orbiting nearby M dwarfs are particularly interesting targets since they provide a great opportunity to characterize their atmospheres by transmission spectroscopy. We aim to validate and characterize the new sub-Neptune-sized planet candidate TOI-2136.01 orbiting a nearby M dwarf ($d = 33.36 \pm 0.02$ pc, $T_{eff} = 3373 \pm 108$ K) with an orbital period of 7.852 days. We use TESS data, groun…
We present the discovery of TOI-2136b, a sub-Neptune planet transiting every 7.85 days a nearby M4.5V-type star, identified through photometric measurements from the TESS mission. The host star is located $33$ pc away with a radius of $R_{\ast} = 0.34\pm0.02\ R_{\odot}$, a mass of $0.34\pm0.02\ M_{\odot}$ and an effective temperature of $\rm 3342\pm100\ K$. We estimate its stellar rotation period to be $75\pm5$ days based on archival long-term photometry. We confirm and characterize the planet based on a series of ground-based multi-wavelength photometry, high-angular-resolution imaging observ…
As exoplanetary science matures into its third decade, we are increasingly offered the possibility of pre existing, archival observations for newly detected candidates. This is particularly poignant for the TESS mission, whose survey spans bright, nearby dwarf stars in both hemispheres, which are precisely the types of sources targeted by previous radial velocity (RV) surveys. On this basis, we investigated whether any of the TESS Objects of Interest (TOIs) coincided with such observations, from which we find 18 single planet candidate systems. Of these, one exhibits an RV signature that has t…
We confirm the planetary nature of TOI-532b, using a combination of precise near-infrared radial velocities with the Habitable-zone Planet Finder, TESS light curves, ground based photometric follow-up, and high-contrast imaging. TOI-532 is a faint (J$\sim 11.5$) metal-rich M dwarf with Teff = $3957\pm69$ K and [Fe/H] = $0.38\pm0.04$; it hosts a transiting gaseous planet with a period of $\sim 2.3$ days. Joint fitting of the radial velocities with the TESS and ground-based transits reveal a planet with radius of $5.82\pm0.19$ R$_{\oplus}$, and a mass of $61.5_{-9.3}^{+9.7}$ M$_{\oplus}$. TOI-53…
