The helicity form factors of the $D_{(s)}\to A \ell^+ ν$ with $A=a_{1}^{-}, a_{1}^{0}, b_{1}^{-}, b_{1}^{0}, K_{1}(1270)$ and $K_{1}(1400)$ are calculated in the light-cone sum rules approach, up to twist-3 distribution amplitudes of the axial vector meson $A$. In the helicity form factors parametrization the unitarity constraints are applied to the fitting parameters. In addition, the effects of the low-lying resonances are included in series expansions of aforementioned form factors. The properties of the $D_{(s)}\to A \ell^+ ν$ semileptonic decays are studied by extending the form factors to the whole physical region of $q^2$. For a better analysis, a comparison is also made between our results and the predictions obtained using transition form factors via LCSR, 3PSR and CLFQM methods.
We complete the set of QCD light-cone sum rules for $B\to ππ$ transition form factors, deriving a new sum rule for the timelike-helicity form factor $F_t$ in terms of dipion distribution amplitudes. This sum rule, in the leading twist-2 approximation, is directly related to the pion vector form factor. Employing a relation between $F_t$ and other $B\to ππ$ form factors we obtain also the longitudinal-helicity form factor $F_0$. In this way, all four (axial-)vector $B\to ππ$ form factors are predicted from light-cone sum rules with dipion distribution amplitudes. These results are valid for sma…
Starting from a one-body front-form equation with Lepage-Brodsky spinors we show, with a fair amount of new technology, how an integral equation in standard momentum space with Bjorken-Drell spinors can be obtained. The integral equation decouples for singlets and triplets.
We study the $B \to ρ$ helicity form factors (HFFs) by applying the light-cone sum rules up to twist-4 accuracy. The HFF has some advantages in comparison to the conventionally calculated transition form factors, such as the HFF parameterization can be achieved via diagonalizable unitarity relations and etc. At the large recoil point, only the $ρ$-meson longitudinal component contributes to the HFFs, and we have $\mathcal{H}_{ρ,0}(0)=0.435^{+0.055}_{-0.045}$ and $\mathcal{H}_{ρ,\{1,2\}}(0)\equiv 0$. We extrapolate the HFFs to physically allowable $q^2$-region and apply them to the $B \to ρ$ se…
We calculate the independent helicity amplitudes in the decays $B \to K^* \ell^+ \ell^-$ and $B \to ρ\ell ν_\ell$ in the so-called Large-Energy-Effective-Theory (LEET). Taking into account the dominant $O(α_s)$ and SU(3) symmetry-breaking effects, we calculate various single (and total) distributions in these decays making use of the presently available data and decay form factors calculated in the QCD sum rule approach. Differential decay rates in the dilepton invariant mass and the Forward-Backward asymmetry in $B \to K^* \ell^+ \ell^-$ are worked out. Measurements of the ratios $R_i(s) \equ…
We calculate the independent helicity amplitudes in the decays B --> K^* ell^+ ell^- and B --> rho ell nu_ell in the so-called Large-Energy-Effective-Theory (LEET). Taking into account the dominant O(alpha_s) and SU(3) symmetry-breaking effects, we calculate various Dalitz distributions in these decays making use of the presently available data and decay form factors calculated in the QCD sum rule approach. Differential decay rates in the dilepton invariant mass and the Forward-Backward asymmetry in B --> K^* ell^+ ell^- are worked out. We also present the decay amplitudes in the transversity …
The spin structure of the pion is discussed by transforming the wave function for the pion in the naive quark model into a light-cone representation. It is shown that there are higher helicity ($λ_{1}+λ_{2}=\pm1$) states in the full light-cone wave function for the pion besides the ordinary helicity ($λ_{1}+λ_{2}=0$) component wave functions as a consequence from the Melosh rotation relating spin states in light-front dynamics and those in instant-form dynamics. Some low energy properties of the pion, such as the electromagnetic form factor, the charged mean square radius, and the weak decay c…
I discuss how to obtain angular decay distributions for sequential cascade decays using helicity methods. The angular decay distributions follow from a reasonably simple master formula involving bilinear forms of helicity amplitudes and Wigner's $d$ functions. I discuss in some detail the issue of gauge invariance for off-shell gauge bosons. As a technical exercise I calculate the linear relation between the helicity amplitudes and the invariant amplitudes of semileptonic and rare baryon decays. I discuss two explicit examples of angular decay distributions for (i) the decay $t\to b+W^+(\to \e…
For obtaining the spin space wave function of the pion meson in the light-cone formalism from the naive quark model, it is necessary to take into account Wigner rotation. Consequently there are higher helicity ($λ_1+λ_2=\pm 1$) components in the light-cone spin space wave function of the pion besides the usual helicity ($λ_1+λ_2=0$) components. For the pion electromagnetic form factor, we calculate the hard-scattering amplitude for the higher helicity components in the light-cone perturbation theory. It is found that the hard-scattering amplitude for the higher helicity components is of order …
In this paper, the $D\to P(π, K)$ helicity form factors (HFFs) are studied by applying the QCD light-cone sum rule (LCSR) approach. The calculation accuracy is up to next-to-leading order (NLO) gluon radiation correction of twist-(2,3) distribution amplitude. The resultant HFFs at large recoil point are ${\cal P}_{t,0}^π(0) = 0.688^{+0.020}_{-0.024}$, ${\cal P}_{t,0}^K(0)=0.780^{+0.024}_{-0.029}$. In which, the contributions from three particles of the leading order (LO) are so small that can be safely neglected, and the maximal contribution of the NLO gluon radiation correction for ${\cal P}_…
The $γ^\ast N \to N^\ast (1520)$ reaction is studied in framework of the light cone QCD sum rules method. The sum rules for the multipole form factors, namely, for the magnetic dipole $G_M(Q^2)$, electric quadrupole $G_E(Q^2)$, and Coulomb quadrupole $G_C(Q^2)$, form factors responsible for for the $γ^\ast N \to N^\ast (1520)$ transition are derived. Using these sum rules, the helicity amplitudes are presented as the combinations of these multipole form factors, and their $Q^2$ dependences are studied. We compare our results on the helicity amplitudes with those of the spectator model predicti…
We discuss the production of hadrons in polarized lepton nucleon interactions and in the current jet fragmentation region; using the QCD hard scattering formalism we compute the helicity density matrix of the hadron and show how its elements, when measurable, can give information on the spin structure of the nucleon and the spin dependence of the quark fragmentation process. The cases of $ρ$ vector mesons and $Λ$ baryons are considered in more details and, within simplifying assumptions, some estimates are given.
Motivated by the recent hints of lepton flavor universality violation observed in semileptonic $B$ decays, we analyze how to test flavor and helicity structures of the corresponding amplitudes in view of future data. We show that the general assumption that such non-standard effects are controlled by a $U(2)_q \times U(2)_\ell$ flavor symmetry, minimally broken as in the Standard Model Yukawa sector, leads to stringent predictions on leptonic and semileptonic $B$ decays. Future measurements of $R_{D^{(*)}}$, $R_{K^{(*)}}$, ${\mathcal B}(\bar B_{c,u}\to \ell \bar ν)$, ${\mathcal B}(\bar B \to π…
The total gluon helicity in a polarized proton, measurable in high-energy scattering, is shown to be the large momentum limit of a gauge-invariant but non-local, frame-dependent gluon spin $\vec{E}\times \vec{A}_\perp$ in QCD. This opens a door for a non-perturbative calculation of this quantity in lattice QCD, and also justifies using free-field expressions in the light-cone gauge as physical observables.
We generalise the Jacob-Wick helicity formalism, which applies to sequential decays, to effective field theories of rare decays of the type $B \to K_{J_K}(\to K π) \bar{\ell}_1 \ell_2$. This is achieved by reinterpreting local interaction vertices $\bar b Γ'_{μ_1 ..μ_n} s \bar \ell Γ^{μ_1 ..μ_n} \ell$ as a coherent sum of $1 \to 2$ processes mediated by particles whose spin ranges between zero and $n$. We illustrate the framework by deriving the full angular distributions for $B \to K\bar{\ell}_1 \ell_2$ and $B \to K^*(\to K π) \bar{\ell}_1 \ell_2$ for the complete dimension-six effective Hami…
Light cone QCD sum rules for the electromagnetic transition form factors among positive and negative parity octet baryons are derived. The unwanted contributions of the diagonal transitions among positive parity octet baryons are eliminated by combining the sum rules derived from different Lorentz structures. The $Q^2$ dependence for the transversal and longitudinal helicity amplitudes are studied.
We develop methods needed to perform loop calculations in light cone perturbation theory using a helicity basis, refining the method introduced in our earlier work. In particular this includes implementing a consistent way to contract the four-dimensional tensor structures from the helicity vectors with d-dimensional tensors arising from loop integrals, in a way that can be fully automatized. We demonstrate this explicitly by calculating the one-loop correction to the virtual photon to quark-antiquark dipole light cone wave function. This allows us to calculate the deep inelastic scattering cr…
We present a systematical study on the kaon electromagnetic form factors $F_{K^{\pm},K^0,\bar{K}^0}(Q^2)$ within the $k_T$ factorization formalism, where the transverse momentum effects, the contributions from the different helicity components and different twist structures of the kaon light-cone (LC) wave function are carefully analyzed for giving a well understanding of the hard contributions at the energy region where pQCD is applicable. The right power behavior of the hard contribution from the higher helicity components and from the higher twist structures can be obtained by keeping the $…
We present the differential rates for exclusive $\Bbar\to X \ell_1 \ell_2$, where $\ell_1$ is a charged massless lepton and $\ell_2$ is a charged or neutral massless lepton, and $X$ is a mesonic system up to spin 2. The cases of interest are semileptonic (SL) $\Bbar\to \xcu\ellm \barnuell$ decays, and $\Bbar \to X_s \ellm \ellp$ where the the di-lepton can be $c \bar{c}$ resonances or non-resonant electroweak penguins (EWP). We consider helicity amplitudes having non-zero relative phases that can be potential new sources for CP-violation. Our motivations for these additional phases include a c…
The form factors of the $Λ_{b} \to N^\ast \ell^+ \ell^-$ decay are calculated in the framework of the light cone QCD sum rules. In the calculations the contribution of the negative parity $Λ_b^\ast$ baryon is eliminated by constructing the sum rules for different Lorentz structures. Furthermore the branching ratio of the semileptonic $Λ_b \to N^\ast \ell^+ \ell^-$ decay is calculated. The numerical study for the branching ratio of the $Λ_{b} \to N^\ast \ell^+ \ell^-$ decay indicates that it is quite large and could be measurable at future planned experiments to be conducted at LHCb.
In this paper, we calculate the $B_c\to J/ψ$ helicity form factors (HFFs) up to twist-4 accuracy by using the light-cone sum rules (LCSR) approach. After extrapolating those HFFs to the physically allowable $q^2$ region, we investigate the $B^+_c$-meson two-body decays and semi-leptonic decays $B_c^+ \to J/ψ+(P, V, \ell^+ ν_\ell)$ with $P/V$ stands for light pseudoscalar/vector meson, respectively. The branching fractions can be derived by using the CKM matrix element and the $B_c$ lifetime from the Particle Data Group, and we obtain ${\cal B}(B_c^+ \to J/ψπ^+)=(0.136^{+0.002}_{-0.002})\%$, ${…
We classify the hadron light-cone wave-function amplitudes in terms of parton helicity, orbital angular momentum, and quark flavor and color symmetries. We show in detail how this is done for the pion, $ρ$ meson, nucleon, and delta resonance up to and including three partons. For the pion and nucleon, we also consider four-parton amplitudes. Using the scaling law derived recently, we show how these amplitudes scale in the limit that all parton transverse momenta become large.
Form factors of the rare $Λ_{b}(Λ_{b}^*)\to N\ell^{+}\ell^{-}$ decays are calculated in the framework of the light cone QCD sum rules by taking into account of the contributions from the negative parity baryons. Using the obtained results on the form factors, the branching ratios of the considered decays are estimated. The numerical survey for the branching ratios of the $Λ_b \rar N\ell^+\ell^- $ and $Λ_b^\ast \rar N\ell^+\ell^- $ decays indicate that these transitions could be measurable in LHCb in near future. Comparison of our predictions on the form factors and branching ratios with those …
The form factors of semileptonic $B_{(s)}\to a_{1}(K_1)\, \ell^{+}\ell^{-}$, $ \ell=τ,μ,e$ transitions are investigated in the framework of the light-cone sum rules with $B$-meson distribution amplitudes, which play an important role in exclusive $B$ decays. The $B$-meson distribution amplitudes, $φ_{\pm}(ω)$ are a model-dependent form, so we consider four different parameterizations which can provide a reasonable description of $φ_{\pm}(ω)$ from QCD corrections. The branching fractions of these transitions are calculated. For a better analysis, a comparison of our results with the prediction …
We applied QCD Light Cone Sum Rules to estimate power corrections to the helicity-conserving amplitude in the process $γ^*γ\to ππ$. We found that above $Q^2 \sim 4$ GeV$^2$ power corrections are numerically small and the twist-2 part dominates. The amplitude can be reliably calculated in this region using models of $2 π$ distribution amplitudes as an input. We found that the magnitude of the NLO corrections depends rather strongly on the normalization of the gluonic distribution amplitude.
Light cone perturbation theory has become an essential tool to calculate cross sections for various small-$x$ dilute-dense processes such as deep inelastic scattering and forward proton-proton and proton-nucleus collisions. Here we set out to do one loop calculations in an explicit helicity basis in the four dimensional helicity scheme. As a first process we calculate light cone wave function for one gluon emission to one-loop order in Hamiltonian perturbation theory on the light front. We regulate ultraviolet divergences with transverse dimensional regularization and soft divergences with usi…
The large-$Q^2$ behavior of $η_c$-$γ$ and $η_b$-$γ$ transition form factors, $F_{η_cγ}(Q^2)$ and $F_{η_bγ}(Q^2)$ are analyzed in the framework of light-cone perturbative QCD with the heavy quark ($c$ and $b$) mass effect, the parton's transverse momentum dependence and the higher helicity components in the light-cone wave function are respected. It is pointed out that the quark mass effect brings significant modifications to the asymptotic predictions of the transition form factors in a rather broad energy region, and this modification is much severer for $F_{η_bγ}(Q^2)$ than that for $F_{η_cγ…
In a set of two papers, we propose to study an old-standing problem, namely the electromagnetic interaction for particles of arbitrary spin. Based on the assumption that light-cone helicity at tree level and $Q^2=0$ should be conserved non-trivially by the electromagnetic interaction, we are able to derive \emph{all} the natural electromagnetic moments for a pointlike particle of \emph{any} spin. In this second paper, we give explicit expressions for the light-cone helicity amplitudes in terms of covariant vertex functions, leading to the natural electromagnetic moments at $Q^2=0$. As an appli…
The light-cone Fock representation encodes the bound-state quark and gluon properties of hadrons, including their helicity and flavor correlations, in terms of universal process-independent and frame-independent wavefunctions. It also provides a physical factorization scheme for separating hard and soft contributions in both exclusive and inclusive hard processes. A new type of jet production reaction, ''self-resolving diffractive interactions'' can provide direct information on the light-cone wavefunctions of hadrons in terms of their QCD degrees of freedom as well as the composition of nucle…
We investigate the rare decay $Λ_b \to Λγ$ which receives both short and long distance contributions. We estimate the long distance contributions and find them very small. The form factors are obtained from $Λ_c \to Λ\ell \barν_\ell$ using heavy quark symmetry and a pole model. The short distance piece opens a window to new physics and we discuss the sensitivity of $Λ_b \to Λγ$ to such effects.
The unpolarized, helicity and transversity distributions of quarks in the proton are calculated in the overlap representation of light-cone wavefunctions truncated to the lowest order Fock-space components with three valence quarks. The three distributions at the hadronic scale satisfy an interesting relation consistent with the Soffer inequality. Results are derived in a relativistic quark model including radiative corrections up to the next-to-leading order. Predictions for the double transverse-spin asymmetry in Drell-Yan dilepton production initiated by proton-antiproton collisions are pre…
We introduce photon and gluon propagators in which the scalar polarization component is subtracted systematically by making use of the BRST invariance of the off-shell vector boson created from physical on-shell states. The propagator has the light-cone gauge form, where the spacial component of the gauge vector points along the negative of the off-shell vector boson momentum. We call the gauge as parton-shower gauge, since in collinear configurations the absolute value squared of each Feynman amplitude reproduces all the singular behaviors of the corresponding parton shower in this gauge. We …
The meson-cloud model of the nucleon consisting of a system of three valence quarks surrounded by a meson cloud is applied to study the electroweak structure of the proton and neutron. Light-cone wavefunctions are derived for the dressed nucleon as pictured to be part of the time a bare nucleon and part of the time a baryon-meson system. Configurations are considered where the baryon can be a nucleon or a Δand the meson can be a pion as well as a vector meson such as the ρor the ω. An overall good description of the electroweak form factors is obtained. The contribution of the meson cloud is s…
We perform an analysis of the quark angular momentum in a light-cone representation by taking into account the effect due to the Melosh-Wigner rotation and find that there is a relativistic correction factor connecting the quark orbital angular momentum with the quark model spin distribution: $L_q(x)={<M_L(x)>}Δq_{QM}(x)$. The quark orbital angular momentum $L_q(x)$ and the quark helicity distribution $Δq(x)$ are connected to the quark model spin distribution $Δq_{QM}(x)$ by a relation: $\frac{1}{2}Δq(x)+ L_q(x)=\frac{1}{2}Δq_{QM}(x)$, which means that one can decompose the quark model spin co…
We analyse the perturbative contributions from the higher helicity ($λ_{1}+λ_{1}=\pm 1$) components, which should be naturally contained in the light-cone wave function for the pion as a consequence of the Wigner rotation, in the QCD calculation of the pion form factor. It is pointed out that the contributions may provide the other fraction needed to fit the pion form factor data besides the perturbative contributions from the ordinary helicity components evaluated using the factorization formula with the asymptotic form of the distribution amplitude. We suggest a way to test the higher helici…
We present the study of the semileptonic decay Λ_c to Λ\ell^+νby using the light-cone sum rule approach. Distribution amplitudes (DAs) for the Λbaryon are discussed to the leading order conformal spin, and QCD sum rule estimate for the corresponding parameters is presented. The form factors describing the decay are calculated and used to predict the decay width and the decay asymmetry parameter α. With the inclusion of twist-3 contributions the calculated decay width Γ=(7.2+/-2.0)X10^{-14} GeV as well as asymmetry α=-(0.88+/-0.03) is found in good agreement with the experimental data, while th…
We introduce a systematic way to write down the Fock components of a hadronic light-cone wave function with $n$ partons and orbital angular momentum projection $l_z$. We show that the wave function amplitude $ψ_n(x_i,k_{i\perp},l_{zi})$ has a leading behavior $1/(k^2_\perp)^{[n+|l_z|+{\rm min}(n'+|l_z'|)]/2-1}$ when all parton transverse momenta are uniformly large, where $n'$ and $l_z'$ are the number of partons and orbital angular momentum projection, respectively, of an amplitude that mixes under renormalization. The result can be used as a constraint in modeling the hadronic light-cone wav…
We study the three-quark light-cone amplitudes of the proton including quarks' transverse momenta. We classify these amplitudes using a newly-developed method in which light-cone wave functions are constructed from a class of light-cone matrix elements. We derive the constraints on the amplitudes from parity and time-reversal symmetries. We use the amplitudes to calculate the physical observables which vanish when the quark orbital angular momentum is absent. These include transverse-momentum dependent parton distributions $Δq_T(x, k_\perp)$, $q_T(x, k_\perp)$, $δq(x, k_\perp)$, and $δq_L(x,k_…
With the renewed distribution amplitudes of $Λ$, we present a reanalysis on the semi-leptonic decay $Λ_c\toΛ\ell^+ν$ by use of the light-cone sum rule approach with two kinds of interpolating currents. The form factors describing the decay process are obtained and used to predict the decay width. With the inclusion of up to twist-6 contributions the calculations give the decay width $Γ=(10.04\pm0.88)\times10^{-14}{GeV}$ for Chernyak-Zhitnitsky-type(CZ-type) current and $Γ=(6.45\pm1.06)\times10^{-14}{GeV}$ for Ioffe-type current. The Ioffe-type interpolating current is found to be better for th…
In the paper, we study the $B_s\to D_s$ transition form factors by using the light-cone sum rules within the framework of heavy quark effective field theory. We adopt a chiral current correlation function to do the calculation, the resultant transition form factors $f_+^{B_s\to D_s}(q^2)$ and $f_0^{B_s\to D_s}(q^2)$ are dominated by the contribution of $D_s$-meson leading-twist distribution amplitude, while the contributions from less certain $D_s$-meson twist-3 distribution amplitudes are greatly suppressed. At the largest recoil point, we obtain $f_{+,0}^{B_s \to D_s}(0)=0.533^{+0.112}_{-0.0…
Several general constraints are suggested to analyze the pionic valence-state wave function. It is found that the present model wave functions used in light-cone formalism of perturbative quantum chromodynamics have failed these requirements to fit the pionic form factor data and the reasonable valence-state structure function which does not exceed the pionic structure function data for $x \rightarrow 1$ simultaneously. Furthermore, it is pointed out that there is a possibility to find model wave functions which can satisfy all of general constraints. Also we show that there are two higher hel…
We present $B_q\toρ$, $B_q\toω$, $B_q\to K^*$, $B_s\to K^*$ and $B_s\to ϕ$ form factors from light-cone sum rules (LCSR) at $\mathcal{O}(α_s)$ for twist-2 and 3 and $\mathcal{O}(α_s^0)$ for twist-4 with updated hadronic input parameters. Three asymptotic light-cone distribution amplitudes of twist-$4$ (and $5$) are determined, necessary for the form factors to obey the equations of motion. It is argued that the latter constrain the uncertainty of tensor-to-vector form factor ratios thereby improving the prediction of zeros of helicity amplitudes of major importance for $B\to K^*\ell\ell$ angul…
We investigate the tree level multi-gluon components of the gluon light cone wavefunctions in the light cone gauge keeping the exact kinematics of the gluon emissions. We focus on the components with all helicities identical to the helicity of the incoming gluon. The recurrence relations for the gluon wavefunctions are derived. In the case when the virtuality of the incoming gluon is neglected the exact form of the multi-gluon wavefunction as well as the fragmentation function is obtained. Furthermore we analyze the 2 to N tree-level gluon scattering in the framework of light-front perturbatio…
The form factors, as well as the helicity amplitudes for the $γ^\ast N \to N(1535)$ transition are calculated in framework of the QCD light cone sum rules. The contamination coming from diagonal transition is eliminated by considering combinations of the sum rules corresponding to different Lorentz structures. Similar procedure is applied for determination of the residue and mass of the negative parity baryon. Comparison of our predictions on the helicity amplitudes with the existing theoretical and experimental results is also presented.
A fundamental question in QCD is the non-perturbative structure of hadrons at the amplitude level--not just the single-particle flavor, momentum, and helicity distributions of the quark constituents, but also the multi-quark, gluonic, and hidden-color correlations intrinsic to hadronic and nuclear wavefunctions. The light-cone Fock-state representation of QCD encodes the properties of a hadrons in terms of frame-independent wavefunctions. A number of applications are discussed, including semileptonic B decays, deeply virtual Compton scattering, and dynamical higher twist effects in inclusive r…
The contributions of helicity-flip matrix elements to the deuteron form factors are discussed in the light-cone frame. Normalized $A(Q^2)$, $B(Q^2)$, $G_Q(Q^2)$ and $T_{20}$ are obtained in a simple QCD-inspired model. We find that $G_{+-}^+$ plays an important role in $G_Q(Q^2)$. Our numerical results are consistent with the data in the intermediate energy region.
The form factors of the semileptonic $B\to ππ\ell\barν$ decay are calculated from QCD light-cone sum rules with the distribution amplitudes of dipion states. This method is valid in the kinematical region, where the hadronic dipion state has a small invariant mass and simultaneously a large recoil. The derivation of the sum rules is complicated by the presence of an additional variable related to the angle between the two pions. In particular, we realize that not all invariant amplitudes in the underlying correlation function can be used, some of them generating kinematical singularities in th…
We study the leading twist gluon generalized parton distributions (GPDs) and the gluon angular momentum inside the proton within a light-cone spectator model. Using the light-cone wave functions derived from the model, we provide the expressions of these distributions at the particular kinematical point $ξ=0$ in the overlap representation. The numerical results of the $H^g$, $E^g$, $\tilde{H}^g$, $H_T^g$ and $E_T^g$ as functions of $x$ at different $Δ_T$ are presented. Particularly, $H^g$, $\tilde{H}^g$ at non-zero $Δ_T$ are different from their forward counterparts, the unpolarized distributi…
Semileptonic decay processes of $Ξ_c \to Ξ\ellν_\ell$ are studied by light-cone QCD sum rules in this paper. The six form factors of $Ξ_c \to Ξ$ semileptonic transition matrix elements are calculated by this method with the light-cone distribution amplitudes of $Ξ$ baryon up to twist six. With the six form factors, the absolute branching ratios of $Ξ_c^0 \to Ξ^- \ell^+ ν_\ell$ and $Ξ_c^+ \to Ξ^0 \ell^+ ν_\ell$ are calculated by the helicity amplitudes formalism of semileptonic differential decay widths. The ratios of absolute branching ratios of electron and muon final states processes give th…
We perform the first calculation of form factors in the semileptonic decays $B\!\to\! D_1(2420)\ellν_\ell$ and $B \to D_1^\prime (2430)\ell ν_\ell$ using QCD light-cone sum rules (LCSRs) with $B$-meson distribution amplitudes. In this calculation the $c$-quark mass is finite. Analytical expressions for two-particle contributions up to twist four are obtained. To disentangle the $D_1$ and $D_1^\prime$ contributions in the LCSRs, we suggest a novel approach that introduces a combination of two interpolating currents for these charmed mesons. To fix all the parameters in the LCSRs, we use the two…
We calculate the independent helicity amplitudes in the decays $B \to K^* \ell^+ \ell^-$ and $B \to ρ\ell ν_\ell$ in the so-called Large-Energy-Effective-Theory (LEET). Taking into account the dominant $O(α_s)$ and SU(3) symmetry-breaking effects, we calculate various Dalitz distributions in these decays making use of the presently available data and decay form factors calculated in the QCD sum rule approach. Differential decay rates in the dilepton invariant mass and the Forward-Backward asymmetry in $B \to K^* \ell^+ \ell^-$ are worked out. We also present the decay amplitudes in the transve…
