Bending of light in novel 4$D$ Gauss-Bonnet-de Sitter black holes by Rindler-Ishak method

We study the bending of light in the space-time of black holes in four-dimensional Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet theory of gravity, recently proposed by Glavan and Lin \cite{Glavan}. Using Rindler-Ishak method, the effect of Gauss-Bonnet coupling on the bending angle is studied. We show that a positive Gauss-Bonnet coupling gives a negative contribution to the Schwarzschild-de Sitter deflection angle, as one would expect.

Light bending in the galactic halo by Rindler-Ishak method

After the work of Rindler and Ishak, it is now well established that the bending of light is influenced by the cosmological constant Λ appearing in the Schwarzschild-de Sitter spacetime. We show that their method, when applied to the galactic halo gravity parametrized by a constant γ, yields exactly the same γ- correction to Schwarzschild bending as obtained by standard methods. Different cases are analyzed, which include some corrections to the special cases considered in the original paper by Rindler and Ishak.

Petrov type I Condition and Rindler Fluid in Vacuum Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet Gravity

Recently the Petrov type I condition is introduced to reduce the degrees of freedom in the extrinsic curvature of a timelike hypersurface to the degrees of freedom in the dual Rindler fluid in Einstein gravity. Gravitational Lensing in Kerr-Newman Anti de Sitter Spacetime

The method of Rindler and Ishak enables one to study how light is bent in the vicinity of a non-rotating and spherically symmetric gravitational lens. Bending of Light from Reissner-Nordström-de Sitter-Monopole Black Hole

We study light deflection from a Reissner-Nordström-de Sitter black hole in the gravitational monopole background. We first calculate the orbit equation and the contribution of the monopole and black hole parameters to the deflection angle up to second-order for the vanishing cosmological constant case using the Rindler-Ishak method. We also obtain the contribution of the cosmological constant to light deflection in this geometry in the weak field limit using the same method.

Null trajectories and bending of light in charged black holes with quintessence

We have studied null geodesics of the charged black hole surrounded by quintessence. Quintessence is a candidate for dark energy and is represented by a scalar field. Here, we have done a detailed study of the photon trajectories. The exact solutions for the trajectories are obtained in terms of the Jacobi-elliptic integrals for all possible energy and angular momentum of the photons. We have also studied the bending angle using the Rindler and Ishak method.

Effect of Accelerated Global Expansion on Bending of Light

On the influence of the cosmological constant on trajectories of light and associated measurements in Schwarzschild de Sitter space

In this paper we review and build on the common methods used to analyze null geodesics in Schwarzschild de Sitter space. We present a general technique which allows finding measurable intersection angles of null trajectories analytically, and as one of its applications we establish a general relativistic aberration relationship. Light bending, static dark energy and related uniqueness of Schwarzschild-de Sitter spacetime
