We study the dual ${\rm G}^\ast$ of a standard semisimple Poisson-Lie group ${\rm G}$ from a perspective of cluster theory. We show that the coordinate ring $\mathcal{O}({\rm G}^\ast)$ can be naturally embedded into a cluster Poisson algebra with a Weyl group action. We prove that $\mathcal{O}({\rm G}^\ast)$ admits a natural basis which has positive integer structure coefficients and satisfies an invariance property with respect to a braid group action. We continue the study of the moduli space $\mathscr{P}_{{\rm G},\mathbb{S}}$ of ${\rm G}$-local systems introduced in \cite{GS3}, and prove that the coordinate ring of $\mathscr{P}_{{\rm G}, \mathbb{S}}$ coincides with its underlying cluster Poisson algebra.
We study a Poisson structure $π$ on the Grothendieck resolution $X$ of a complex semi-simple group $G$ and prove that the desingularization map $μ:(X,π) \to (G,π_0)$ is Poisson, where $π_0$ is a Poisson structure such that intersections of conjugacy classes and opposite Bruhat cells $BwB_-$ are Poisson subvarieties. We compute the symplectic leaves of $X$ and show that $(X, π)$ resolves singularities of $(G, π_0)$.
Let $\mathfrak g$ be a semisimple Lie algebra, $\mathfrak h\subset\mathfrak g$ a reductive subalgebra such that $\mathfrak h^\perp$ is a complementary $\mathfrak h$-submodule of $\mathfrak g$. In 1983, Bogoyavlenski claimed that one obtains a Poisson commutative subalgebra of the symmetric algebra ${\mathcal S}(\mathfrak g)$ by taking the subalgebra ${\mathcal Z}$ generated by the bi-homogeneous components of all $H\in{\mathcal S}(\mathfrak g)^{\mathfrak g}$. But this is false, and we present a counterexample. We also provide a criterion for the Poisson commutativity of such subalgebras ${\mat…
A factorization formula for certain automorphisms of a Poisson algebra associated to a quiver is proved, which involves framed versions of moduli spaces of quiver representations. This factorization formula is related to wall-crossing formulas for Donaldson-Thomas type invariants of M. Kontsevich and Y. Soibelman.
We classify in this paper Poisson structures on modules over semisimple Lie algebras arising from classical r-matrices. We then study their quantizations and the relation to classical invariant theory.
We classify filtered quantizations of conical symplectic singularities and use this to show that all filtered quantizations of symplectic quotient singularities are spherical Symplectic reflection algebras of Etingof and Ginzburg. We further apply our classification and a classification of filtered Poisson deformations obtained by Namikawa to establish a version of the Orbit method for semisimple Lie algebras. Namely, we produce a natural map from the set of adjoint orbits in a semisimple Lie algebra to the set of primitive ideals in the universal enveloping algebra. We show that the map is in…
For any involution $σ$ of a semisimple Lie algebra $\mathfrak g$, one constructs a non-reductive Lie algebra $\mathfrak k$, which is called a $\mathbb Z_2$-contraction of $\mathfrak g$. In this paper, we attack the problem of describing maximal commutative subalgebras of the Poisson algebra $S(\mathfrak k)$. This is closely related to the study of the coadjoint representation of $\mathfrak k$ and the set, $\mathfrak k^*_{reg}$, of the regular elements of $\mathfrak k^*$. By our previous results, in the context of $\mathbb Z_2$-contractions, the argument shift method provides maximal commutativ…
Double Bruhat cells $G^{u,v}$ were studied by Fomin and Zelevinsky. They provide important examples of cluster algebras and cluster Poisson varieties. Cluster varieties produce examples of 3d Calabi-Yau categories with stability conditions, and their Donaldson-Thomas invariants, defined by Kontsevich and Soibelman, are encoded by a formal automorphism on the cluster variety known as the Donaldson-Thomas transformation. Goncharov and Shen conjectured in that for any semisimple Lie group $G$, the Donaldson-Thomas transformation of the cluster Poisson variety $H\backslash G^{u,v}/H$ is a slight m…
We consider the space of graph connections (lattice gauge fields) which can be endowed with a Poisson structure in terms of a ciliated fat graph. (A ciliated fat graph is a graph with a fixed linear order of ends of edges at each vertex.) Our aim is however to study the Poisson structure on the moduli space of locally flat vector bundles on a Riemann surface with holes (i.e. with boundary). It is shown that this moduli space can be obtained as a quotient of the space of graph connections by the Poisson action of a lattice gauge group endowed with a Poisson-Lie structure. The present paper cont…
Let p be a maximal truncated parabolic subalgebra of a simple Lie Algebra. It was shown in many cases that the Poisson centre Y(p) is a polynomial algebra. We construct a slice for the coadjoint action of p, thus extending a theorem of Kostant. The role of the principal sl_2-triple is played by an adapted pair.
We give a moduli-theoretic treatment of the existence and properties of moduli spaces of semistable quiver representations, avoiding methods from geometric invariant theory. Using the existence criteria of Alper--Halpern-Leistner--Heinloth, we show that for many stability functions, the stack of semistable representations admits an adequate moduli space, and prove that this moduli space is proper over the moduli space of semisimple representations. We construct a natural determinantal line bundle that descends to a semiample line bundle on the moduli space and provide new effective bounds for …
The group is interesting as the first example of split rank 2 semisimple group, all the irreducible unitary representations of which are known. We make a precise realization of the discrete series representations (in Section 2) by using the Orbit Method and Geometric Quantization, a computation of their traces (Section 3) and an exact formula for the noncommutative Poisson summation and endoscopy of for this group (in Section 4).
We present some basic results on a natural Poisson structure on any compact symmetric space. The symplectic leaves of this structure are related to the orbits of the corresponding real semisimple group on the complex flag manifold.
The purpose of the present paper is to develop the enumerative geometry of dormant $G$-opers for a semisimple algebraic group $G$. In the present paper, we construct a compact moduli stack admitting a perfect obstruction theory by introducing the notion of a dormant faithful twisted $G$-oper (or a "$G$-do'per", for short). The resulting virtual fundamental class induces a semisimple $2$d TQFT (= $2$-dimensional topological quantum field theory) counting the number of $G$-do'pers. This $2$d TQFT gives an analogue of the Witten-Kontsevich theorem describing the intersection numbers of psi classe…
Let $X$ be an irreducible smooth projective algebraic curve of genus $g \geq 2$ over the ground field $\bc$ and let $G$ be a semisimple simply connected algebraic group. The aim of this paper is to introduce the notion of semistable and stable parahoric torsors under a certain Bruhat-Tits group scheme $\mathcal G$ and construct the moduli space of semistable parahoric $\mathcal G$--torsors; we also identify the underlying topological space of this moduli space with certain spaces of homomorphisms of Fuchsian groups into a maximal compact subgroup of $G$. The results give a generalization of th…
We carry an intrinsic approach to the study of the connectedness of the moduli space $\mathcal{M}_G$ of $G$-Higgs bundles, over a compact Riemann surface, when $G$ is a complex reductive (not necessarily connected) Lie group. We prove that the number of connected components of $\mathcal{M}_G$ is indexed by the corresponding topological invariants. In particular, this gives an alternative proof of the counting by J. Li of the number of connected components of the moduli space of flat $G$-connections in the case in which $G$ is connected and semisimple.
In this paper we describe the new model of the representations of the current groups with a semisimple Lie group of the rank one. In the earlier papers of 70-80-th (Araki, Gelfand-Graev-Vershik) had posed the problem about irreducible representations of the current group for $SL(2,R)$, and was used for this the well-known Fock space-structure That construction could be applied to the arbitrary locally compact group, and is based on a so called special representation of the original group $G$, with nontrivial 1-cohomology. A new construction uses the special property of one dimensional extension…
Let g be a complex semisimple Lie algebra, G the simply-connected Poisson-Lie group corresponding to g, and G* its dual. G-valued Stokes phenomena were used by Boalch [Bo1,Bo2] to give a canonical, analytic linearisation of the Poisson structure on G*. Ug-valued Stokes phenomena were used by the first author to construct a twist killing the KZ associator, and therefore give a transcendental construction of the Drinfeld-Jimbo quantum group U_hg (arXiv:1601.04076). In the present paper, we show that the former construction can be obtained as semiclassical limit of the latter. Along the way, we a…
We construct families of functions in involution for transverse Poisson structures at nilpotent elements of Lie-Poisson structures on simple Lie algebras by using the argument shift method. Examples show that these families contain completely integrable systems that consist of polynomial functions. We provide a uniform construction of these integrable systems for an infinite family of distinguished nilpotent elements of semisimple type.
Starting from a split semisimple real Lie group G with trivial center, we define a family of varieties with additional structures. We describe them as the cluster X-varieties, as defined in math.AG/0311245. In particular they are Poisson varieties. We define Poisson maps of them to the group G with the standard Poisson-Lie structure. We introduce an operation of amalgamation of cluster varieties. Our varieties are amalgamations of elementary ones, assigned to positive simple roots of the root system of G. Some of them are very closely related to the double Bruhat cells. This paper is a buildin…
The purpose of this paper is to give a construction of representations of the group of currents for semisimple groups of rank greater than one. Such groups have no unitary representations in the Fock space, since the semisimple groups of this form have no nontrivial cohomology in faithful irreducible representations. Thus we first construct cohomology of the semisimple groups in nonunitary representations. The principal method is to reduce all constructions to Iwasawa subgroups (solvable subgroups of the semisimple groups), with subsequent extension to the original group. The resulting represe…
This is the sequel to arXiv:2007.01364v1. Let $F$ be any local field with residue characteristic $p>0$, and $\mathcal{H}^{(1)}_{\overline{\mathbb{F}}_p}$ be the mod $p$ pro-$p$-Iwahori Hecke algebra of $\mathbf{GL_2}(F)$. In arXiv:2007.01364v1 we have constructed a parametrization of the $\mathcal{H}^{(1)}_{\overline{\mathbb{F}}_p}$-modules by certain $\widehat{\mathbf{GL_2}}(\overline{\mathbb{F}}_p)$-Satake parameters, together with an antispherical family of $\mathcal{H}^{(1)}_{\overline{\mathbb{F}}_p}$-modules. Here we let $F=\mathbb{Q}_p$ (and $p\geq 5$) and construct a morphism from $\wid…
We classify Lie 3-algebras possessing an invariant lorentzian inner product. The indecomposable objects are in one-to-one correspondence with compact real forms of metric semisimple Lie algebras. We analyse the moduli space of classical vacua of the Bagger-Lambert theory corresponding to these Lie 3-algebras. We establish a one-to-one correspondence between one branch of the moduli space and compact riemannian symmetric spaces. We analyse the asymptotic behaviour of the moduli space and identify a large class of models with moduli branches exhibiting the desired N^{3/2} behaviour.
The main result of this paper is a convexity theorem for momentum mappings of certain hamiltonian actions of noncompact semisimple Lie groups. The image is required to fall within a certain open subset D of the (dual of the) Lie algebra, and the momentum map itself is required to be proper as a map to D. The set D corresponds roughly, via the orbit method, to the discrete series of representations of the group, Much of the paper is devoted to the study of D itself, which consists of the Lie algebra elements which have compact centralizer. When the group is Sp(2n), these elements are the ones w…
The central result of this paper is an identification of the shifted Cartier dual of the moduli stack $\mathcal{M}_{\mathfrak{g}}(C)$ of $\widetilde{G}$-Higgs bundles on $C$ of arbitrary degree (modulo shifts by $Z(\widetilde{G})$) with a quotient of the Langlands dual stack $\mathcal{M}_{^L\mathfrak{g}}(C)$. Via hyperkähler rotation, this may equivalently be viewed as the identification of an SYZ fibration relating Hitchin systems for arbitrary Langlands dual semisimple groups, coupled to nontrivial finite $B$-fields. As a corollary certain self-dual stacks $\frac{\mathcal{M}_{\mathfrak{g}}(C…
Let $\mathfrak g$ be a finite-dimensional Lie algebra. The symmetric algebra $\mathcal S(\mathfrak g)$ is equipped with the standard Lie-Poisson bracket. In this paper, we elaborate on a surprising observation that one naturally associates the second compatible Poisson bracket on $\mathcal S(\mathfrak g)$ to any finite order automorphism $θ$ of $\mathfrak g$. We study related Poisson-commutative subalgebras $\mathcal C$ of $\mathcal S(\mathfrak g)$ and associated Lie algebra contractions of $\mathfrak g$. To obtain substantial results, we have to assume that $\mathfrak g$ is semisimple. Then w…
Let $G$ be a connected and simply connected complex semisimple Lie group. For a collection of homogeneous $G$-spaces $G/Q$, we construct a finite atlas ${\mathcal{A}}_{\rm BS}(G/Q)$ on $G/Q$, called the Bott-Samelson atlas, and we prove that all of its coordinate functions are positive with respect to the Lusztig positive structure on $G/Q$. We also show that the standard Poisson structure $π_{G/Q}$ on $G/Q$ is presented, in each of the coordinate charts of ${\mathcal{A}}_{\rm BS}(G/Q)$, as a symmetric Poisson CGL extension (or a certain localization thereof) in the sense of Goodearl-Yakimov, …
Let $G$ be a simply connected semisimple group over $\mathbb{C}$. We show that a certain involution of an open subset of the affine Grassmannian of $G$, defined previously by Achar and the author, corresponds to the action of the nontrivial Weyl group element of $\mathrm{SL}(2)$ on the framed moduli space of $\mathbb{G}_m$-equivariant principal $G$-bundles on $\mathbb{P}^2$. As a result, the fixed-point set of the involution can be partitioned into strata indexed by conjugacy classes of homomorphisms $N\to G$ where $N$ is the normalizer of $\mathbb{G}_m$ in $\mathrm{SL}(2)$. When $G=\mathrm{SL…
Let $M$ be a $G$-covering of a nilpotent orbit in $\g$ where $G$ is a complex semisimple Lie group and $\g=\text{Lie}(G)$. We prove that under Poisson bracket the space $R[2]$ of homogeneous functions on $M$ of degree 2 is the unique maximal semisimple Lie subalgebra of $R=R(M)$ containing $\g$. The action of $\g'\simeq R[2]$ exponentiates to an action of the corresponding Lie group $G'$ on a $G'$-cover $M'$ of a nilpotent orbit in $\g'$ such that $M$ is open dense in $M'$. We determine all such pairs $(\g\subset\g')$.
