Let $A = \Bbbk Q / I$ be the path algebra of any finite quiver $Q$ modulo any two-sided ideal $I$ of relations and let $R$ be any reduction system satisfying the diamond condition for $I$. We introduce an intrinsic notion of deformation of reduction systems and show that there is an equivalence of deformation problems between deformations of the associative algebra $A$ and deformations of the reduction system $R$, the latter being controlled by a natural, explicit L$_\infty$ algebra. It follows in particular that any formal deformation of the associative multiplication on $A$ can, up to gauge equivalence, be given by a combinatorially defined star product, and the approach via reduction systems can be used to give a concrete and complete description of the deformation theory of $A$. For the polynomial algebra in a finite number of variables, this combinatorial star product can be described via bidifferential operators associated to graphs, which we compare to the graphs appearing in Kontsevich's universal quantization formula.
Using the notion of admissible orders on the set of paths of the quiver $Q$, we give criteria for the existence of algebraizations of formal deformations, which we also interpret geometrically via algebraic varieties of reduction systems. In this context the Maurer-Cartan equation of the L$_\infty$ algebra can be viewed as a generalization of the Braverman-Gaitsgory criterion for Poincaré-Birkhoff-Witt deformations of Koszul algebras.
We classify Hopf actions of Taft algebras T(n) on path algebras of quivers, in the setting where the quiver is loopless, finite, and Schurian. As a corollary, we see that every quiver admitting a faithful Z_n-action (by directed graph automorphisms) also admits inner faithful actions of a Taft algebra. Several examples for actions of the Sweedler algebra T(2) and for actions of T(3) are presented in detail. We then extend the results on Taft algebra actions on path algebras to actions of the Frobenius-Lusztig kernel u_q(sl_2), and to actions of the Drinfeld double of T(n).
We study the Coulomb branches of 3d N=4 `star-shaped' quiver gauge theories and their deformation quantizations, by applying algebraic techniques that have been developed in the mathematics and physics literature over the last few years. The algebraic techniques supply an abelianization map, which embeds the Coulomb-branch chiral ring into a vastly simpler abelian algebra A. Relations among chiral-ring operators, and their deformation quantization, are canonically induced from the embedding into A. In the case of star-shaped quivers -- whose Coulomb branches are related to Higgs branches of 4d…
Beginning with the data of a quiver Q, and its dimension vector d, we construct an algebra D_q=D_q(Mat_d(Q)), which is a flat q-deformation of the algebra of differential operators on the affine space Mat_d(Q). The algebra D_q is equivariant for an action by a product of quantum general linear groups, acting by conjugation at each vertex. We construct a quantum moment map for this action, and subsequently define the Hamiltonian reduction A^lambda_d(Q) of D_q with moment parameter λ. We show that A^λ_d(Q) is a flat formal deformation of Lusztig's quiver varieties, and their multiplicative count…
Poincare-Birkhoff-Witt Deformations of Calabi-Yau Algebras
We study macroscopically two dimensional $\mathcal{N}=(2,2)$ supersymmetric gauge theories constructed by compactifying the quiver gauge theories with eight supercharges on a product $\mathbb{T}^{d} \times \mathbb{R}^{2}_ε$ of a $d$-dimensional torus and a two dimensional cigar with $Ω$-deformation. We compute the universal part of the effective twisted superpotential. In doing so we establish the correspondence between the gauge theories, quantization of the moduli spaces of instantons on $\mathbb{R}^{2-d} \times \mathbb{T}^{2+d}$ and singular monopoles on $\mathbb{R}^{2-d} \times \mathbb{T}^…
This paper is devoted to the study of the quasitriangularity of Hopf algebras via Hopf quiver approaches. We give a combinatorial description of the Hopf quivers whose path coalgebras give rise to coquasitriangular Hopf algebras. With a help of the quiver setting, we study general coquasitriangular pointed Hopf algebras and obtain a complete classification of the finite-dimensional ones over an algebraically closed field of characteristic 0.
We introduce and explore the relation between quivers and 3-manifolds with the topology of the knot complement. This idea can be viewed as an adaptation of the knots-quivers correspondence to Gukov-Manolescu invariants of knot complements (also known as $F_K$ or $\hat{Z}$). Apart from assigning quivers to complements of $T^{(2,2p+1)}$ torus knots, we study the physical interpretation in terms of the BPS spectrum and general structure of 3d $\mathcal{N}=2$ theories associated to both sides of the correspondence. We also make a step towards categorification by proposing a $t$-deformation of all …
In this paper we find and explore the correspondence between quivers, torus knots, and combinatorics of counting paths. Our first result pertains to quiver representation theory -- we find explicit formulae for classical generating functions and Donaldson-Thomas invariants of an arbitrary symmetric quiver. We then focus on quivers corresponding to $(r,s)$ torus knots and show that their classical generating functions, in the extremal limit and framing $rs$, are generating functions of lattice paths under the line of the slope $r/s$. Generating functions of such paths satisfy extremal A-polynom…
We study the bialgebra structures on quiver coalgebras and the monoidal structures on the categories of locally nilpotent and locally finite quiver representations. It is shown that the path coalgebra of an arbitrary quiver admits natural bialgebra structures. This endows the category of locally nilpotent and locally finite representations of an arbitrary quiver with natural monoidal structures from bialgebras. We also obtain theorems of Gabriel type for pointed bialgebras and hereditary finite pointed monoidal categories.
We study the Coulomb branches of $3d$ $\mathcal{N}=4$ quiver gauge theories, focusing on the generators for their quantized coordinate rings. We show that there is a surjective map from a shifted Yangian onto the quantized Coulomb branch, once the deformation parameter is set to $\hbar =1$. In finite ADE type, this extends to a surjection over $\mathbb{C}[\hbar]$. We also show that these algebras are generated by the dressed minuscule monopole operators, for an arbitrary quiver (this is similar to the proof of Theorem 4.29 in arXiv:1811.12137). Finally, we describe how the KLR Yangian algebra …
We construct an $ε$-deformation of W algebras, corresponding to the additive version of quiver $\text{W}_{q,t^{-1}}$ algebras which feature prominently in the 5d version of the BPS/CFT correspondence and refined topological strings on toric Calabi-Yau's. This new type of algebras fill in the missing intermediate level between $q$-deformed and ordinary W algebras. We show that $ε$-deformed W algebras are spectral duals of conventional W algebras, in particular the $ε$-deformed conformal blocks manifestly reproduce instanton partition functions of 4d $\mathcal{N}=2$ quiver gauge theories in the …
Given a quiver with potential $(Q,W)$, Kontsevich-Soibelman constructed a Hall algebra on the cohomology of the stack of representations of $(Q,W)$. As shown by Davison-Meinhardt, this algebra comes with a filtration whose associated graded algebra is supercommutative. A special case of this construction is related to work of Nakajima, Varagnolo, Maulik-Okounkov etc. about geometric constructions of Yangians and their representations; indeed, given a quiver $Q$, there exists an associated pair $(\widetilde{Q},\widetilde{W})$ for which the CoHA is conjecturally the positive half of the Yangian …
Let $\k$ be a field and $Q$ a minimal Hopf quiver, i.e., a cyclic quiver or the infinite linear quiver, and let $\rep^{ln}(Q)$ denote the category of locally nilpotent finite dimensional $\k$-representations of $Q.$ The category $\rep^{ln}(Q)$ has natural tensor structures induced from graded Hopf structures on the path coalgebra $\k Q.$ Tensor categories of the form $\rep^{ln} (Q)$ are an interesting class of tame hereditary pointed tensor categories which are not finite. The aim of this paper is to compute the Clebsch-Gordan formulae and Green rings of such tensor categories.
We study coquasitriangular pointed Majid algebras via the quiver approaches. The class of Hopf quivers whose path coalgebras admit coquasitriangular Majid algebras is classified. The quiver setting for general coquasitriangular pointed Majid algebras is also provided. Through this, some examples and classification results are obtained.
Recently, new classes of infinite-dimensional algebras, quiver Yangian (QY) and shifted QY, were introduced, and they act on BPS states for non-compact toric Calabi-Yau threefolds. In particular, shifted QY acts on general subcrystals of the original BPS crystal. A trigonometric deformation called quiver quantum toroidal algebra (QQTA) was also proposed and shown to act on the same BPS crystal. Unlike QY, QQTA has a formal Hopf superalgebra structure which is useful in deriving representations. In this paper, we define the shifted QQTA and study a class of their representations. We define 1d a…
