The present paper is the third contribution of a series of works, where we investigate pseudo--bosonic operators and their connections with finite dimensional Lie algebras. We show that all finite dimensional nilpotent Lie algebras (over the complex field) can be realized by central extensions of Lie algebras of pseudo-bosonic operators. This result is interesting, because it provides new examples of dynamical systems for nilpotent Lie algebras of any dimension. One could ask whether these operators are intrinsic with the notion of nilpotence or not, but this is false. In fact we exibit both a simple Lie algebra and a solvable nonnilpotent Lie algebra, which can be realized in terms of pseudo-bosonic operators.
Quadratic algebras of the type $\lsb Q_0, Q_\pm \rsb$ $=$ $\pm Q_\pm$, $\lsb Q_+, Q_- \rsb$ $=$ $aQ_0^2 + bQ_0 + c$ are studied using three-mode bosonic realizations. Matrix representations and single variable differential operator realizations are obtained. Examples of physical relevance of such algebras are given.
We study an N-body Calogero model in the S_N-symmetric subspace of the positive definite Fock space. We construct a new algebra of S_N-symmetric operators represented on the symmetric Fock space, and find a natural orthogonal basis by mapping the algebra onto the Heisenberg algebra. Our main result is the bosonic realization of nonlinear symmetry algebra describing the structure of degenerate levels of Calogero model.
A method is developed to determine the eigenvalues and eigenfunction of two-boson $2\times 2$ matrix Hamiltonians include a wide class of quantum optical models. The quantum Hamiltonians have been transformed in the form of the one variable differential equation and the conditions for its solvability have been discussed. We present two different transformation procedure and we show our approach unify various approaches based on Lie algebraic technique. As an application, solutions of the modified Jaynes-Cummings and two-level Jahn Teller Hamiltonians are studied.
We consider a fully pseudo-bosonic Swanson model and we show how its Hamiltonian $H$ can be diagonalized. We also deduce the eigensystem of $H^\dagger$, using the general framework and results deduced in the context of pseudo-bosons. We also construct, using different approaches, the bi-coherent states for the model, study some of their properties, and compare the various constructions.
The ${\mathcal D}$-pseudo-boson formalism is illustrated with two examples. The first one involves deformed complex Hermite polynomials built using finite-dimensional irreducible representations of the group ${\rm GL}(2,{\mathbb C})$ of invertible $2 \times 2$ matrices with complex entries. It reveals interesting aspects of these representations. The second example is based on a pseudo-bosonic generalization of operator-valued functions of a complex variable which resolves the identity. We show that such a generalization allows one to obtain a quantum pseudo-bosonic version of the complex plan…
We show how the one-mode pseudo-bosonic ladder operators provide concrete examples of nilpotent Lie algebras of dimension five. It is the first time that an algebraic-geometric structure of this kind is observed in the context of pseudo-bosonic operators. Indeed we don't find the well known Heisenberg algebras, which are involved in several quantum dynamical systems, but different Lie algebras which may be decomposed in the sum of two abelian Lie algebras in a prescribed way. We introduce the notion of semidirect sum (of Lie algebras) for this scope and find that it describes very well the beh…
The first purpose of this paper is to show a method of constructing a regular biorthogonal pair based on the commutation rule: $ab-ba=I$ for a pair of operators $a$ and $b$ acting on a Hilbert space ${\cal H}$ with inner product $( \cdot | \cdot )$. Here, sequences $\{ ϕ_{n} \}$ and $\{ ψ_{n} \}$ in a Hilbert space ${\cal H}$ are biorthogonal if $( ϕ_{n} | ψ_{m})= δ_{nm}$, $n,m=0,1, \cdots$, and they are regular if both $D_ϕ \equiv Span \{ ϕ_{n} \}$ and $D_ψ \equiv Span \{ ψ_{n} \}$ are dense in ${\cal H}$. Indeed, the assumption to construct the regular biorthogonal pair coincide with the def…
The generalization of $A_r$ statistics, including bosonic and fermionic sectors, is performed by means of the so-called Jacobson generators. The corresponding Fock spaces are constructed. The Bargmann representations are also considered. For the bosonic $A_r$ statistics, two inequivalent Bargmann realizations are developed. The first (resp. second) realization induces, in a natural way, coherent states recognized as Gazeau-Klauder (resp. Klauder-Perelomov) ones. In the fermionic case, the Bargamnn realization leads to the Klauder-Perelomov coherent states. For each considered realization, the …
The Lorentz transformation group $SO(m,n)$ is a group of Lorentz transformations of order $(m,n)$, that is, a group of special linear transformations in a pseudo-Euclidean space of signature $(m,n)$ that leave the pseudo-Euclidean inner product invariant. A parametrization of $SO(m,n)$ is presented, giving rise to the composition law of Lorentz transformations of order $(m,n)$ in terms of parameter composition. The parameter composition, in turn, gives rise to a novel group-like structure called a bi-gyrogroup. Bi-gyrogroups form a natural generalization of gyrogroups where the latter form a n…
We introduce a class of k-potential submanifolds in pseudo-Euclidean spaces and prove that for an arbitrary positive integer k and an arbitrary nonnegative integer p, each N-dimensional Frobenius manifold can always be locally realized as an N-dimensional k-potential submanifold in ((k + 1) N + p)-dimensional pseudo-Euclidean spaces of certain signatures. For k = 1 this construction was proposed by the present author in a previous paper (2006). The realization of concrete Frobenius manifolds is reduced to solving a consistent linear system of second-order partial differential equations.
We have recently shown that pseudo-bosonic operators realize concrete examples of finite dimensional nilpotent Lie algebras over the complex field. It has been the first time that such operators were analyzed in terms of nilpotent Lie algebras (under prescribed conditions of physical character). On the other hand, the general classification of a finite dimensional nilpotent Lie algebra $\mathfrak{l}$ may be given via the size of its Schur multiplier involving the so-called corank $t(\mathfrak{l})$ of $\mathfrak{l}$. We represent $\mathfrak{l}$ by pseudo-bosonic ladder operators for $t(\mathfra…
We have constructed the quasi-exactly-solvable two-mode bosonic realizations of su(2) and su(1, 1) algebra. We derive the relations leading to the conditions for quasi-exact solvability of two-boson Hamiltonians by determining a general procedure which maps the Schwinger representations of the su(2) and su(1, 1) algebras to the Gelfand-Dyson representations, respectively. This mapping allows us to study nonlinear quantum-optical systems in the framework of quasi-exact solvability. Our approach also leads to a simple construction of special functions of two variables which are the most appropri…
We construct examples of pseudo-bosons in two dimensions arising from the Hamiltonian for the Landau levels. We also prove a no-go result showing that non-linear combinations of bosonic creation and annihilation operators cannot give rise to pseudo-bosons.
Four classes of three dimensional quadratic algebras of the type $\lsb Q_0 , Q_\pm \rsb$ $=$ $\pm Q_\pm$, $\lsb Q_+ , Q_- \rsb$ $=$ $aQ_0^2 + bQ_0 + c$, where $(a,b,c)$ are constants or central elements of the algebra, are constructed using a generalization of the well known two-mode bosonic realizations of $su(2)$ and $su(1,1)$. The resulting matrix representations and single variable differential operator realizations are obtained. Some remarks on the mathematical and physical relevance of such algebras are given.
It is known that a self-adjoint, time-independent hamiltonian can be defined for the quantum damped harmonic oscillator. We show here that the two vacua naturally associated to this operator, when expressed in terms of pseudo-bosonic lowering and raising operators, appear to be non square-integrable. This fact is interpreted as the evidence of the dissipation effect of the classical oscillator at a purely quantum level.
$GL_h(n) \times GL_h(m)$-covariant $h$-bosonic algebras are built by contracting the $GL_q(n) \times GL_q(m)$-covariant $q$-bosonic algebras considered by the present author some years ago. Their defining relations are written in terms of the corresponding $R_h$-matrices. Whenever $n=2$, and $m=1$ or 2, it is proved by using U_h(sl(2)) Clebsch-Gordan coefficients that they can also be expressed in terms of coupled commutators in a way entirely similar to the classical case. Some U_h(sl(2)) rank-1/2 irreducible tensor operators, recently contructed by Aizawa in terms of standard bosonic operato…
With the motivation to develop superconformal field theory on S^3, we introduce a 2n-extended supersphere S^{3|4n}, with n=1,2,..., as a homogeneous space of the three-dimensional Euclidean superconformal group OSp(2n|2,2) such that its bosonic body is S^3. Supertwistor and bi-supertwistor realizations of S^{3|4n} are derived. We study in detail the n=1 case, which is unique in the sense that the R-symmetry subgroup SO^*(2n) of the superconformal group is compact only for n=1. In particular, we show that the OSp(2|2,2) transformations preserve the chiral subspace of S^{3|4}. Several supercoset…
