We study the $h γZ$ coupling, which is a loop induced coupling in the Standard Model (SM), to probe new physics. In a global fit based on the SM Effective Field Theory, measurement of the SM $h γZ$ coupling can provide a very useful constraint, in particular for the precise determination of $hZZ$ and $hWW$ couplings. At the International Linear Collider (ILC), there are two direct ways to study the $h γZ$ coupling: one is to measure the branching ratio of the $h \to γZ$ decay and the other to measure the cross section for the $e^+e^- \to h γ$ process. We have performed a full simulation study of the $e^+e^- \to h γ$ process at the 250 GeV ILC, assuming 2 ab$^{-1}$ data collected by the International Large Detector (ILD). The expected 1$σ$ bound on the effective $hγZ$ coupling ($ζ_{AZ}$) combining measurements of the cross section for $e^+e^- \to h γ$ followed by $h \to b \bar{b}$ and the $h \to γZ$ branching ratio is $-0.0015<ζ_{AZ}<0.0015$. The expected significance for the signal cross section in the fully hadronic $h \to WW^*$ channel is 0.09 $σ$ for beam polarizations of $P(e^-,e^+)=(-80\%,+30\%)$.
Although the LHC experiments have searched for and excluded many proposed new particles up to masses close to 1 TeV, there are many scenarios that are difficult to address at a hadron collider. This talk will review a number of these scenarios and present the expectations for searches at an electron-positron collider such as the International Linear Collider. The cases discussed include the light Higgsino, the \stau~ slepton in the coannihilation region relevant to dark matter, as well as other SUSY signatures. he studies are based on the ILD concept at the ILC.

We investigate the sensitivity to long-lived dark photons produced in Higgstrahlung events via the Higgs portal, $H \rightarrow γ_{D} γ_{D}$, with the Silicon Detector (SiD) at the International Linear Collider (ILC). These events provide a useful benchmark for tracking and vertex detector performance with long-lived particle decays at displaced vertices. The ILC is one of several Higgs factories proposed by the international community to study the properties of the Higgs boson at high precision.
The International Linear Collider (ILC) is a proposed electron -- positron collider with a collision energy of $\sqrt{s}$ = 500 GeV in the baseline configuration. The ILC physics program takes full advantage of the fact that the machine can be operated at arbitrary energy from the maximum down to the peak of the ZH production cross section near $\sqrt{s}$ = 250 GeV or below. It will advance our understanding of nature through precision measurements of Standard Model parameters, detailed study of the Higgs sector, and a comprehensive search for new phenomena that extends beyond the purely kinem…
We summarize the physics case for the International Linear Collider (ILC). We review the key motivations for the ILC presented in the literature, updating the projected measurement uncertainties for the ILC experiments in accord with the expected schedule of operation of the accelerator and the results of the most recent simulation studies.
In this talk I summarize the physics case of the International Linear Collider (ILC) focusing on its potential towards discovery, discrimation or disentanglement of new physics beyond the Standard Model (BSM).
We present an overview of the capabilities that the International Linear Collider (ILC) offers for precision measurements that probe the Standard Model. First, we discuss the improvements that the ILC will make in precision electroweak observables, both from W boson production and radiative return to the Z at 250 GeV in the center of mass and from a dedicated GigaZ stage of running at the Z pole. We then present new results on precision measurements of fermion pair production, including the production of b and t quarks. We update the ILC projections for the determination of Higgs boson couplin…
This presentation gives the prospects of measuring the general Lorentz structures of $VVH$ ($V=Z$, $γ$ and $W$) couplings at the International Linear Collider (ILC). Sensitivities to Higgs CP-even and CP-odd structures are evaluated by using various Higgs production channels and employing measurements of kinematical distributions. The evaluation is performed based on full detector simulation of the International Large Detector (ILD) at center-of-mass energies $\sqrt{s}=$ 250 and 500 GeV. Combined sensitivities on the anomalous $ZZH$ couplings are provided for a realistic operating scenario of …
A Higgs factory like the International Linear Collider (ILC) can play a significant role in searching for exotic decays of Higgs bosons. As an illustration, we investigate the ILC sensitivity for the decay topology $h\to a_1 a_1 \to τ\bar ττ\bar τ$ in the Next-to-Minimal-Supersymmetric-Standard-Model (NMSSM). Here $h$ can be either Standard-Model-like or non-standard, and $a_{1}$ is the lightest CP-odd Higgs boson. We also compare results to expectations for this channel at the LHC.
During the preparatory phase of the International Linear Collider (ILC) project, all technical development and engineering design needed for the start of ILC construction must be completed, in parallel with intergovernmental discussion of governance and sharing of responsibilities and cost. The ILC Preparatory Laboratory (Pre-lab) is conceived to execute the technical and engineering work and to assist the intergovernmental discussion by providing relevant information upon request. It will be based on a worldwide partnership among laboratories with a headquarters hosted in Japan. This proposal…
We discuss complementarity of discovery reaches of heavier neutral Higgs bosons and charged Higgs bosons at the LHC and the International Linear Collider (ILC) in two Higgs doublet models (2HDMs). We perform a comprehensive analysis on their production and decay processes for all types of Yukawa interaction under the softly-broken discrete symmetry which is introduced to avoid flavour changing neutral currents, and we investigate parameter spaces of discovering additional Higgs bosons at the ILC beyond the LHC reach. We find that the 500 GeV run of the ILC with the integrated luminosity of 500…
We study the $e^+e^-\to h γ$ process at the International Linear Collider (ILC) to probe new physics in the $hγZ$ coupling. The study is performed at a center of mass energy of 250 GeV and is based on the full simulation of the International Large Detector (ILD). The expected signal significance is found to be 0.53 $σ$ for an integrated luminosity of 2000 fb$^{-1}$ in the case of the standard model. The corresponding 95 $\%$ confidence level upper limit for the signal cross section is 1.08 fb for left-handed beam polarization.
We study the search for an extra scalar $S$ boson produced in association with the $Z$ boson at the International Linear Collider (ILC). The study is performed at center-of-mass energies of 250 GeV and 500 GeV based on the full simulation of the International Large Detector (ILD). In order to be as model-independent as possible, the analysis uses the recoil technique, in particular with the $Z$ boson decaying into a pair of muons. As a result, exclusion cross-section limits are given in terms of a scale factor $k$ with respect to the Standard Model Higgs-strahlung process cross section. These …
The International Large Detector (ILD) is a concept for a detector at the International Linear Collider, ILC. The ILC will collide electrons and positrons at energies of initially 500 GeV, upgradeable to 1 TeV. The ILC has an ambitious physics program, which will extend and complement that of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). A hallmark of physics at the ILC is precision. The clean initial state and the comparatively benign environment of a lepton collider are ideally suited to high precision measurements. To take full advantage of the physics potential of ILC places great demands on the detect…
The International Linear Collider (ILC) is a proposed electron-positron collider for the centre-of-mass energy range of 200 to 500 GeV and with upgrade options towards 1 TeV. The ILC would be the ideal tool to explore with high precision the properties of the new Higgs-like particle that has recently been discovered at the LHC with a mass of around 125 GeV. The ILC accelerator design is based on the mature superconducting technology that has been developed in the TESLA collaboration and that is currently being used for the European XFEL. The exploitation of the huge physics potential of the IL…
We study collider signatures for extra scalar bosons in the inert doublet model at the international linear collider (ILC). The inert doublet model is a simple extension of the standard model by introducing an additional isospin-doublet scalar field which is odd under an unbroken Z_2 symmetry. The model predicts four kinds of Z_2-odd scalar bosons, and the lightest of them becomes stable and a candidate of the dark matter as long as it is electrically neutral. Taking into account the constraints from various theoretical and phenomenological conditions, we perform a simulation study for the dis…
Measurement of the Higgs coupling to W-bosons is an important test of our understanding of the electroweak symmetry breaking mechanism. We study the sensitivity of the International Linear Collider (ILC) to the presence of anomalous HW+W- couplings using ZH -> nu nu WW* -> nu nu 4j events. Using an effective Lagrangian approach, we calculate the differential decay rates of the Higgs boson including the effects of new dimension-5 operators. We present a Monte Carlo simulation of events at the ILC, using a full detector simulation based on geant4 and a real event reconstruction chain. Expected c…
The next-generation high-energy facilities, the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and the prospective $e^+e^-$ International Linear Collider (ILC), are expected to unravel new structures of matter and forces from the electroweak scale to the TeV scale. In this report we review the complementary role of LHC and ILC in drawing a comprehensive and high-precision picture of the mechanism breaking the electroweak symmetries and generating mass, and the unification of forces in the frame of supersymmetry.
The International Linear Collider (ILC) is now under consideration as the next global project in particle physics. In this report, we review of all aspects of the ILC program: the physics motivation, the accelerator design, the run plan, the proposed detectors, the experimental measurements on the Higgs boson, the top quark, the couplings of the W and Z bosons, and searches for new particles. We review the important role that polarized beams play in the ILC program. The first stage of the ILC is planned to be a Higgs factory at 250 GeV in the centre of mass. Energy upgrades can naturally be im…
We study direct searches of additional Higgs bosons in multi-top-quarks events at the LHC Run-II, its luminosity upgraded version with 3000 fb$^{-1}$, and the International Linear Collider (ILC) with the collision energy of 1 TeV. Additional Higgs bosons are predicted in all kinds of extended Higgs sectors, and their detection at collider experiments is a clear signature of the physics beyond the standard model. We consider two Higgs doublet models with the discrete symmetry as benchmark models. If these additional Higgs bosons are heavy enough, the decay modes including top quarks can be domi…
The International Linear Collider (ILC) is the next large scale project in accelerator particle physics. Colliding electrons with positrons at energies from 0.3 TeV up to about 1 TeV, the ILC is expected to provide the accuracy needed to complement the LHC data and extend the sensitivity to new phenomena at the high energy frontier and answer some of the fundamental questions in particle physics and in its relation to Cosmology. This paper reviews some highlights of the ILC physics program and some of the major challenges for the accelerator and detector design.
If the gamma-gamma resonance at 750 GeV suggested by 2015 LHC data turns out to be a real effect, what are the implications for the physics case and upgrade path of the International Linear Collider? Whether or not the resonance is confirmed, this question provides an interesting case study testing the robustness of the ILC physics case. In this note, we address this question with two points: (1) Almost all models proposed for the new 750 GeV particle require additional new particles with electroweak couplings. The key elements of the 500 GeV ILC physics program---precision measurements of the…
A study of top quark production at the future International Linear Collider, ILC, with a centre-of-mass energy of 500 GeV is presented. The emphasis is put on determining the sensitivity to physics beyond the Standard Model. The analysis has been carried out with a full simulation of the ILD detector. Both, the forward-backward asymmetry and the left-right asymmetry can be determined to a precision of about 1% to 1.5%. The analysis points out an ambiguity which arises in case of the production of top-quarks with left-handed helicity.
The plan for the International Linear Collider (ILC) is now being prepared as a staged design, with the first stage of 2 ${\rm ab^{-1}}$ at 250GeV and later stages achieving the full project specifications with 4 ${\rm ab^{-1}}$ at 500 GeV. The talk presents the capabilities for precision Higgs boson measurements at 250 GeV. It is shown that the 250 GeV stage of the ILC will already provide many compelling results in Higgs physics, with new measurements unavailable at the Large Hadron Collider, model-independent determinations of key parameters, and possible discrimination of a variety of scen…
The International Linear Collider (ILC) and the Compact Linear Collider (CLIC) are the two options for a future high-energy, high-luminosity linear electron-positron collider. Both are expected to be built in stages, optimised for their physics potential. The main goals are the precision measurements of Higgs-boson and top-quark properties as well as direct and indirect searches for new physics Beyond Standard Model. In my talk I will review some of the latest results from both ILC and CLIC demonstrating their physics potential, pointing to similarities and complementarity of both projects.
The International Linear Collider (ILC) is the next large project in accelerator based particle physics. It is complementary to the LHC in many aspects. Measurements from both machines together will finally shed light onto the known deficiencies of the Standard Model of particle physics and allow to unveil a possible underlying more fundamental theory. Here, the possibilities of the ILC will be discussed with special emphasis on the Higgs sector and on topics with a strong connection to cosmological questions like extra dimensions or dark matter candidates.
In the spirit of Leon Lederman's 1977 proposal for the siting of the VBA, we propose a version of the International Linear Collider along the US-Mexico border.
We study the capability of the international linear collider (ILC) to probe extra dimensions via the seesaw mechanism. In the scenario we study, heavy Kaluza-Klein neutrinos generate tiny neutrino masses and, at the same time, have sizable couplings to the standard-model particles. Consequently, a Kaluza-Klein tower of heavy neutrinos (N) can be produced and studied at the ILC through the process: e+e- -> vN followed by N -> Wl decay. We show that the single lepton plus two-jets final states with large missing energy from this signal process will provide a good opportunity to measure the masse…

This talk will present the capabilities for precision Higgs boson measurements at 250 GeV and their relation to the full ILC program. It will show that the 250 GeV stage of ILC will already provide many compelling results in Higgs physics, with new measurements not available at LHC, model-independent determinations of key parameters, and tests for and possible discrimination of a variety of sc…
Precise measurements of electroweak processes at the International Linear Collider (ILC) will provide unique opportunities to explore new physics beyond the Standard Model. Fermion pair productions are sensitive to a new contact interaction or a new heavy gauge boson by comparing cross section and angular distribution with expectations of the new physics models. In this proceedings we report a simulation study of fermion pair productions at a center-of-mass energy of 250 GeV, with a focus on lepton pairs, to demonstrate the potential of the first phase of the ILC.
The potential of measurement of the relative statistical uncertainty of the ${σ(HZ)\times BR(H \rightarrow WW^{*})}$ decay, at the International Linear Collider (ILC) has been presented. The study is performed at the lowest energy stage of the proposed staged ILC, the 250 GeV stage. Monte Carlo samples representing all SM processes were passed through full detector simulation of the International Large Detector (ILD) model. Fully hadronic final state has been analyzed using an integrated luminosity of 500 fb$^{-1}$, using multivariate analysis technique. The obtained relative statistical uncer…
Precise measurements of electroweak processes at the International Linear Collider (ILC) will provide unique opportunities to explore new physics beyond the Standard Model. Fermion pair production events are sensitive to new interactions involving a new heavy gauge boson or an electroweak interacting massive particle (EWIMP).We studied the mass reach of new particles at the ILC with $\sqrt{s}=250$ GeV by using $e^+ e^-\to e^+ e^-$and $e^+ e^-\to μ^+ μ^-$ events. We show that a mass reach for BSM particles can be determined with 90% confidence level using a toy Monte Carlo technique.
We studied the $e^+e^- \to h γ$ process at the International Linear Collider (ILC) at $\sqrt{s}=250$ GeV, based on the full detector simulation of the International Large Detector (ILD). This process is loop-induced in the Standard Model (SM) and is sensitive to new physics which alters $h γγ$ or $h γZ$ coupling. We performed the analysis by employing the leading signal channels with $h \to b \bar{b}$ and $h \to WW^*$ and including full SM background processes. The results are obtained for two scenarios of beam polarisations each with an integrated luminosity of 900 fb$^{-1}$. We found the exp…
We investigate the potential of the International Linear Collider (ILC) to probe the mechanisms of neutrino mass generation and leptogenesis within the minimal seesaw model. Our results can also be used as an estimate for the potential of a Compact Linear Collider (CLIC). We find that heavy sterile neutrinos that simultaneously explain both, the observed light neutrino oscillations and the baryon asymmetry of the universe, can be found in displaced vertex searches at ILC. We further study the precision at which the flavour-dependent active-sterile mixing angles can be measured. The measurement…
We study the prospects of measurement of the branching ratio of $h \to μ^+ μ^-$ at the International Linear Collider (ILC). The study is performed at center-of-mass energies of 250 GeV and 500 GeV, using fully-simulated MC samples with the International Large Detector (ILD) model. For both center-of-mass energies, the two final states $q\overline{q}h$ and $ν\overlineνh$ have been analyzed. For an integrated luminosity of 2000 fb$^{-1}$ at 250 GeV and 4000 fb$^{-1}$ at 500 GeV, corresponding to the H20 running scenario as well as its staged version, the precision on $σ\times \mathrm{BR}(h \to μ…
Physics at the ILC is reviewed focusing mostly on Higgs physics. It is emphasized that at the ILC it is possible to measure the $hZZ$ coupling totally model independently, which in turn allows model-independent normalization of various branching ratio measurements and consequently the absolute measurements of corresponding couplings. Combining them with the measurements of the top Yukawa coupling and the Higgs self-coupling at higher energies, the full ILC program is shown to allow a precision test of the mass-coupling relation.
ILC (International Linear Collider) is under consideration as the next global project of particle physics. Its Technical Design Report, published in 2013, describes the accelerator for the center-of-mass energies above 200GeV. The operation of ILC at lower center-of-mass energies has not been studies intensively. This report discusses the operation of the ILC at a center-of-mass 91.2GeV and presents a possible parameter set.
With the discovery of a Higgs boson at LHC, all particles of the Standard Model seem to have been observed experimentally, yet many questions are left unanswered. The discovery has intensified the planning for future high-energy colliders, which aim to probe the Standard Model and the mechanism of electroweak symmetry breaking with higher precision and to extend and complement the search for new particles currently under way at the LHC. The most mature option for such a future facility is the International Linear Collider ILC, an electron-positron collider with a centre-of-mass energy of 500 G…
The International Linear Collider is now proposed with a staged machine design, with the first stage at $\sqrt{s}=250$ GeV and an integrated luminosity goal of 2 ab${}^{-1}$. One of the questions for the machine design is the importance of positron polarization. In this report, we review the impact of positron polarization on the physics goals of the 250 GeV stage of the ILC and demonstrate that positron polarization has distinct advantages.
We investigate a possibility of precision measurements for parameters of the Littlest Higgs model with T-parity at the International Linear Collider (ILC). The model predicts new gauge bosons (AH, ZH, and WH), among which the heavy photon (AH) is a candidate for dark matter. The masses of these new gauge bosons strongly depend on the vacuum expectation value that breaks a global symmetry of the model. Through Monte Carlo simulations of the processes: e+ e- ->AH ZH and e+ e- -> WH+ WH-, we show how precisely the masses can be determined at the ILC for a representative parameter point of the mod…
The International Linear Collider (ILC) being proposed in Japan is an electron-positron linear collider with an initial energy of 250 GeV. The ILC accelerator is based on the technology of superconducting radio-frequency cavities. This technology has reached a mature stage in the European XFEL project and is now widely used. The ILC will start by measuring the Higgs properties, providing high-precision and model-independent determinations of its parameters. The ILC at 250 GeV will also search for direct new physics in exotic Higgs decays and in pair-production of weakly interacting particles. …
Measurement of Higgs branching ratio is necessary to investigate Higgs coupling to particle masses. Especially, it is the most important program to measure the branching ratio of H->bb and H->cc at the international linear collider (ILC). We have studied the measurement accuracy of Higgs branching ratio at ILC with Sqrt(s) = 250 GeV by using ZH->vvH events. We obtained the Higgs branching ratio with 1.1% and 13.7% accuracy for H->bb and H->cc, respectively.
For the planned International Linear Collider it is intended to have both -- electron and positron -- beams polarised. This offers a great benefit for many physics studies, but also provides a challenge for the engineering of the machine. A polarised positron source that meets the machine parameters is topic of current design studies and prototype experiments.
We study the prospects of measuring the decay of the Higgs boson into a pair of muons at the International Linear Collider (ILC). The study is performed at center-of-mass energies of 250\,GeV and 500\,GeV, with fully-simulated Monte-Carlo samples based on the International Large Detector (ILD). The expected precision on cross section times branching ratio $σ\times \mathrm{BR}(h \to μ^+ μ^-)$ has been evaluated to be 24.9{\%} for an integrated luminosity of 2\,ab$^{-1}$ at 250\,GeV. This result improves to 17.5{\%} in combination with 4\,ab$^{-1}$ of 500\,GeV data. We also quantify the impact o…
A large, world-wide community of physicists is working to realise an exceptional physics program of energy-frontier, electron-positron collisions with the International Linear Collider (ILC). This program will begin with a central focus on high-precision and model-independent measurements of the Higgs boson couplings. This method of searching for new physics beyond the Standard Model is orthogonal to and complements the LHC physics program. The ILC at 250 GeV will also search for direct new physics in exotic Higgs decays and in pair-production of weakly interacting particles. Polarised electro…
The International Linear Collider (ILC) will collide polarised electrons and positrons at beam energies of 45.6 GeV to 250 GeV and optionally up to 500 GeV. To fully exploit the physics potential of this machine, not only the luminosity and beam energy have to be known precisely, but also the polarisation of the particles has to be measured with an unprecedented precision of dP/P ~ 0.25% for both beams. An overall concept of high precision polarisation measurements at high beam energies will be presented. The focus will be on the polarimeters (up- and downstream of the e+e- interaction point) …
Precise measurement of the Higgs boson properties is an important issue of the International Linear Collider (ILC) experiment. We studied the accuracy of the Higgs mass reconstruction in the ZH->qqH multi-jet process with the Higgs mass of MH = 120 GeV at sqrt(s) = 250 GeV with the ILD detector model. In this study, we obtained the reconstructed Higgs mass of M_H = 120.79 +- 0.089 GeV and 5.3% measurement accuracy of the cross-section for ZH->qqbb with the integrated luminosity of L=250 fb^{-1} data samples.
One option at the International Linear Collider is to convert the electron beams into high energy photon beams by Compton scattering a few millimetres in front of the interaction region. Selected physics channels for this option have been analysed and technical issues have been studied. So far no showstoppers for this option have been found.
We evaluate the measurement precision of the production cross section times the branching ratio of the Higgs boson decaying into tau lepton pairs at the International Linear Collider (ILC). We analyze various final states associated with the main production mechanisms of the Higgs boson, the Higgs-strahlung and WW-fusion processes. The statistical precision of the production cross section times the branching ratio is estimated to be 2.6% and 6.9% for the Higgs-strahlung andWW-fusion processes, respectively, with the nominal integrated luminosities assumed in the ILC Technical Design Report; th…
The ILD detector is proposed for an electron-positron collider with collision centre-of-mass energies from 90~\GeV~to about 1~\TeV. It has been developed over the last 10 years by an international team of scientists with the goal to design and eventually propose a fully integrated detector, primarily for the International Linear Collider, ILC. In this report the fundamental ideas and concepts behind the ILD detector are discussed and the technologies needed for the realisation of the detector are reviewed. The document starts with a short review of the science goals of the ILC, and how the goa…
Precise measurement of the Higgs boson properties are important issues for the International Linear Collider (ILC) project to understand the particles mass generation mechanism which strongly related to the coupling with the Higgs boson. Large Hadron Collider (LHC) experiments exclude the large area of the predicted Higgs mass region and their results indicate that Higgs boson mass will be light. Even if LHC discovers the Higgs like particle by the end of 2012, Higgs will be identified by the high precision measurement of the Higgs boson properties in ILC and also Higgs measurement verifies th…
The International Large Detector (ILD) is one of the proposed detector concepts for the International Linear Collider (ILC). The work on the ILD machine-detector interface (MDI) concentrates on the optimisation of the experimental area design for the operation and maintenance of the detector. The ILC will use a push-pull system to allow the operation of two detectors at one interaction region. The special requirements of this system pose technical constraints to the interaction region and the design of both detectors.
We present a study of experimental determination of the Wtb anomalous couplings in the $t\bar{t}$ process at the International Linear Collider in the framework of effective field theory. The theory predicts several observables that are particularly sensitive to the couplings including the asymmetry of the bottom quark angular distributions. These observables require excellent identification capabilities for the b quark in a detector. We describe tools needed for the identification with particular emphasis on determination of the quark charge and b-tagging together with generic selections for t…
Measurement of the integrated luminosity at the International Linear Collider (ILC) will be accomplished by counting the rate of small angle Bhabha scattering events. The physics requirements for ILC set the constraint on the relative precision of the luminosity measurement to be of a permille order. The required precision can be achieved by construction of a fine granulated electromagnetic calorimeter of high energy and polar angle resolution and by sufficient experimental control of numerous systematic effects. One of the leading systematic effects in luminosity measurement is the background…
In this Analysis we investigated the possibility of the measurement of Higgs self-coupling at ILC through the process $e^++e^-\rightarrow ZHH$ using fast simulation data. So far two combinations of decay modes: $Z\rightarrow q \bar q,H\rightarrow b\bar b, H\rightarrow WW^*$ and $Z\rightarrow l \bar l, H\rightarrow b\bar b, H\rightarrow b\bar b$ were studied. Our preliminary results show that it is very challenging to suppress the huge standard model backgrounds effectively.
The International Linear Collider (ILC) is a proposed electron-positron collider with a center-of-mass energy of 500~GeV, and a peak luminosity of $2 \cdot 10^{34}~\mathrm{cm}^{-2}\mathrm{s}^{-1}$. The ILC will complement the Large Hadron Collider, a proton-proton accelerator, and provide precision measurements, which may help in solving some of the fundamental questions at the frontier of scientific research, such as the origin of mass and the possible existence of new principles of nature. The linear collider community has set a goal to achieve a precision of $10^{-4}$ on the luminosity meas…
