We have studied the masses for fully open-flavor tetraquark states $bc\bar{q}\bar{s}$ and $sc\bar{q}\bar{b}$ with quantum numbers $J^{P}=0^{+},1^{+}$. We systematically construct all diquark-antiquark interpolating currents and calculate the two-point correlation functions and spectral densities in the framework of QCD sum rule method. Our calculations show that the masses are about $7.1-7.2$ GeV for the $bc\bar{q}\bar{s}$ tetraquark states and $7.0-7.1$ GeV for the $sc\bar{q}\bar{b}$ tetraquarks. The masses of $bc\bar{q}\bar{s}$ tetraquarks are below the thresholds of $\bar{B}_{s}D$ and $\bar{B}_{s}^{*}D$ final states for the scalar and axial-vector channels respectively. The $sc\bar{q}\bar{b}$ tetraquark states with $J^{P}=1^{+}$ lie below the $B_{c}^{+}K^{*}$ and $B_{s}^{*}D$ thresholds. Such low masses for these possible tetraquark states indicate that they can only decay via weak interaction and thus are very narrow and stable.
In this work, we estimate the masses of tetraquark states with four different flavors by virtue of QCD sum rules, in both $b$ and $c$ sectors. We construct four $[8_c]_{\bar{b} s} \otimes [8_c]_{\bar{d} u}$ tetraquark currents with $J^P = 0^+$, and then perform analytic calculation up to dimension eight in the Operator Product Expansion (OPE). We keep terms which are linear in the strange quark mass $m_s$, and in the end find two possible tetraquark states with masses $(5.57 \pm 0.15)$ and $(5.58 \pm 0.15)$ GeV. We find that their charmed-partner masses lie in $(2.54 \pm 0.13)$ and $(2.55 \pm …
In the framework of the color-magnetic interaction, we systematically investigate the mass spectrum of the tetraquark states composed of four heavy quarks with the $QQ\bar Q\bar Q$ configuration in this work. We also show their strong decay patterns. Stable or narrow states in the $bb\bar{b}\bar{c}$ and $bc\bar{b}\bar{c}$ systems are found to be possible. We hope the studies shall be helpful to the experimental search for heavy-full exotic tetraquark states.
The LHCb Collaboration has reported resonant activity in the channel $D^+ K^-$, identifying two components: $X_0(2900)$ with $J^P = 0^+$ at $2866 {\pm} 7$ MeV, $Γ_0=57{\pm} 13$ MeV and $X_1(2900)$ with $J^P = 1^-$ at $2904 {\pm} 7$ MeV, $Γ_1=110{\pm} 12$ MeV. We interpret the $X_0(2900)$ component as a $cs \bar u\bar d$ isosinglet compact tetraquark, calculating its mass to be $2863 {\pm} 12$ MeV. This is the first exotic hadron with open heavy flavor. The analogous $bs\bar u\bar d$ tetraquark is predicted at $6213 {\pm} 12$ MeV. We discuss possible interpretations of the heavier and wider $X_…
We investigate the recent evidence for a charged $X(5568)$ meson as an exotic open-flavor tetraquark state $su\bar b\bar d$ with $J^P=0^+/1^+$ in the framework of QCD sum rules. We use the color antisymmetric $[\mathbf{\bar 3_c}]_{su} \otimes [\mathbf{3_c}]_{\bar{b}\bar d}$ tetraquark currents in both scalar and axial-vector channels to perform evaluations and numerical analyses. Our results imply that the $X(5568)$ can be interpreted as both the scalar $su\bar b\bar d$ tetraquark state and the axial-vector one, which are in good agreement with the experimental measurement. We also discuss the…
Motivated by the LHCb observation of exotic states $X_{0,1}(2900)$ with four open quark flavors in the $D^- K^+$ invariant mass distribution in the decay channel $B^\pm \to D^+ D^- K^\pm$, we study the spectrum and decay properties of the open charm tetraquarks. Using the two-body chromomagnetic interactions, we find that the two newly observed states can be interpreted as a radial excited tetraquark with $J^P=0^+$ and an orbitally excited tetraquark with $J^P=1^-$, respectively. We then explore the mass and decays of the other flavor-open tetraquarks made of $su \bar d \bar c$ and $ d s \bar …
A salient feature shared by all tetraquark candidates observed in experiment is the absence of flavor-exotic states of the type $\bar a b\bar c d$, with four different quark flavors. This phenomenon may be understood from the properties of large-$N_c$ QCD: On the one hand, consistency conditions for flavor-exotic Green functions, potentially containing these tetraquark poles, require the existence of two tetraquarks $T_A$ and $T_B$: each of them should decay dominantly via a single two-meson channel, $T_A\to M_{\bar a b}M_{\bar c d}$ and $T_B\to M_{\bar a d}M_{\bar c b}$, with suppressed rates…
We have systematically investigated the mass spectrum and rearrangement decay properties of the exotic tetraquark states with four different flavors using a color-magnetic interaction model. Their masses are estimated by assuming that the $X(4140)$ is a $cs\bar{c}\bar{s}$ tetraquark state and their decay widths are obtained by assuming that the Hamiltonian for decay is a constant. According to the adopted method, we find that the most stable states are probably the isoscalar $bs\bar{u}\bar{d}$ and $cs\bar{u}\bar{d}$ with $J^P=0^+$ and $1^+$. The width for most unstable tetraquarks is about ten…
We study the spectra of the doubly charmed tetraquark states in a diquark-antidiquark model. The doubly charmed tetraquark states form an antitriplet and a sextet configurations according to flavor SU(3) symmetry. For the tetraquark state $[qq'][\bar c\bar c]$, we show the mass for both bound and excited states. The two-body decays of tetraquark states $T^{cc}[0^+]$ and $T^{cc}[1^{--}]$ to charmed mesons have also been studied. In the end,the doubly charmed tetraquarks decays to a charmed baryon and a light baryon have been studied in the SU(3) flavor symmetry.
Beauty tetraquark states $X(\bar b q'q'' \bar q )$ composed of $ \bar b s u \bar d$, $\bar b d s \bar u$, and $\bar b u d \bar s$, are unique that all the four valence quarks are different. Although the claim of existence of the first two states by D0 was not confirmed by data from LHCb, the possibility of such states still generated a lot of interests and should be pursued further. Non-observation of $X(\bar b q'q'' \bar q )$ states by LHCb may be just due to a still lower production rate than the limit of LHCb or at some different mass ranges. In this work we use light quark $SU(3)$ flavor s…
Within the framework of QCD sum rules, we have investigated the tetraquark states with three heavy quarks. We systematically construct the interpolating currents for the possible $cc\bar{c}\bar{q}$, $cc\bar{b}\bar{q}$, $bc\bar{b}\bar{q}$, $bb\bar{b}\bar{q}$ tetraquark states with quantum numbers $J^{P}=0^{+}$ and $J^{P}=1^{+}$. Using these interpolating currents, we have calculated the two-point correlation functions and extracted the mass spectra for the above tetraquark states. We also discuss the decay patterns of these tetraquarks, and notice that the $cc\bar{c}\bar{q}$, $cc\bar{b}\bar{q}$…
We study the exotic $bc\bar{q}\bar{q}$, $bc\bar{s}\bar{s}$ and $qc\bar{q}\bar{b}$, $sc\bar{s}\bar{b}$ systems by constructing the corresponding tetraquark currents with $J^P=0^+$ and $1^+$. After investigating the two-point correlation functions and the spectral densities, we perform QCD sum rule analysis and extract the masses of these open-flavor tetraquark states. Our results indicate that the masses of both the scalar and axial vector tetraquark states are about $7.1-7.2$ GeV for the $bc\bar{q}\bar{q}$ system and $7.2-7.3$ GeV for the $bc\bar{s}\bar{s}$ system. For the $qc\bar{q}\bar{b}$ t…
Following a recent suggestion by Weinberg, we use the large-N expansion in QCD to discuss the decay amplitudes of tetraquarks into ordinary mesons as well as their mixing properties. We find that the flavor structure of the tetraquark is a crucial ingredient to determine both this mixing as well as the decays. Although in some cases tetraquarks should be expected to be as narrow as ordinary mesons, they may get to be even narrower, depending on this flavor structure.
Our hadro-charmonium and compact tetraquark model predictions, published before the BESIII and LHCb experimental data for the $Z_{\rm cs}(3985)$ and $Z_{\rm cs}(4003)$ tetraquarks were released, match surprisingly well with them. Here, we extend our results for the $P_{\rm cs}$ states to $Λ$ + charmonium configurations and also our hadro-charmonium predictions for $Z_{\rm c}$ and $X_{\rm c}$ tetraquarks to charmonium + pion/eta. We use them, in combination with our previous findings, to discuss the possible emergence of SU(3)$_{\rm f}$ pentaquark octets and tetraquark nonets in the hidden-char…
We consider how tetraquarks can affect the chiral phase transition in theories like QCD, with light quarks coupled to three colors. For two flavors the tetraquark field is an isosinglet, and its effect is minimal. For three flavors, however, the tetraquark field transforms in the same representation of the chiral symmetry group as the usual chiral order parameter, and so for very light quarks there may be two chiral phase transitions, which are both of first order. In QCD, results from the lattice indicate that any transition from the tetraquark condensate is a smooth crossover. In the plane o…
We combine lattice QCD results for the potential of two static antiquarks in the presence of two quarks $q q$ of finite mass and quark model techniques to study possibly existing $q q \bar{b} \bar{b}$ tetraquarks. While there is strong indication for a bound four-quark state for $q q = (ud-du) / \sqrt{2}$, i.e. isospin $I=0$, we find clear evidence against the existence of corresponding tetraquarks with $q q \in \{ uu , (ud+du) / \sqrt{2} , dd \}$, i.e. isospin $I=1$, $q q = s s$ and $q q = c c$.
We provide comprehensive investigations for the mass spectrum of exotic open-flavor charmed/bottom $sq\bar q\bar c$, $qq\bar q\bar c$, $sq\bar q\bar b$, $qq\bar q\bar b$ tetraquark states with various spin-parity assignments $J^P=0^+, 1^+, 2^+$ and $0^-, 1^-$ in the framework of QCD sum rules. In the diquark configuration, we construct the diquark-antidiquark interpolating tetraquark currents using the color-antisymmetric scalar and axial-vector diquark fields. The stable mass sum rules are established in reasonable parameter working ranges, which are used to give reliable mass predictions for…
We apply the method of QCD sum rules to study the $s s \bar s \bar s$ tetraquark states of $J^{PC} = 0^{-+}$. We construct all the relevant $s s \bar s \bar s$ tetraquark currents, and find that there are only two independent ones. We use them to further construct two weakly-correlated mixed currents. One of them leads to reliable QCD sum rule results and the mass is extracted to be $2.51^{+0.15}_{-0.12}$ GeV, suggesting that the $X(2370)$ or the $X(2500)$ can be explained as the $ss\bar s\bar s$ tetraquark state of $J^{PC} = 0^{-+}$. To verify this interpretation, we propose to further study …
We study the mass spectra of D-wave excited $cs\bar{c}\bar{s}$ tetraquark states with $J^{PC}=1^{++}$ and $1^{+-}$ in both symmetric $\mathbf{6}_{cs}\otimes\bar{\mathbf{6}}_{\bar{c}\bar{s}}$ and antisymmetric $\bar{\mathbf{3}}_{cs}\otimes\mathbf{3}_{\bar{c}\bar{s}}$ color configurations by using the QCD sum rule method. We construct the D-wave diquark-antidiquark type of $cs\bar{c}\bar{s}$ tetraquark interpolating currents in various excitation structures with $(L_λ,L_ρ\{l_{ρ_1},l_{ρ_2}\})=(2,0\{0,0\}),(1,1\{1,0\}),(1,1\{0,1\}),(0,2\{1,1\}),(0,2\{2,0\}),(0,2\{0,2\})$. Our results support to in…
We use the Laplace/Borel sum rules (LSR) and the finite energy/local duality sum rules (FESR) to investigate the non-strange $ud\bar u\bar d$ and hidden-strange $us\bar u\bar s$ tetraquark states with exotic quantum numbers $J^{PC}=0^{+-}$ . We systematically construct all eight possible tetraquark currents in this channel without covariant derivative operator. Our analyses show that the $ud\bar u\bar d$ systems have good behaviour of sum rule stability and expansion series convergence in both the LSR and FESR analyses, while the LSR for the $us\bar u\bar s$ states do not associate with conver…
Discussing four-point Green functions of bilinear quark currents in large-$N_c$ QCD, we formulate rigorous criteria for selecting diagrams appropriate for the analysis of potential tetraquark poles. We find that both flavor-exotic and cryptoexotic (i.e., flavor-nonexotic) tetraquarks, if such poles exist, have a width of order $O(1/N_c^2)$, so they are parametrically narrower compared to the ordinary $\bar qq$ mesons, which have a width of order $O(1/N_c)$. Moreover, for flavor-exotic states, the consistency of the large-$N_c$ behavior of "direct" and "recombination" Green functions requires t…
We study the lowest-lying scalar mesons in the QCD sum rule by considering them as tetraquark states. We find that there are five independent currents for each state with a certain flavor structure. By forming linear combinations, we find that some mixed currents give reliable QCD sum rules. Among various tetraquark currents, we consider those which are constructed by the diquarks having anti-symmetric and symmetric flavor structures. That the results of the QCD sum rule derived from the two types of currents are similar suggests that the tetraquark states can have a large mixing between diffe…
The weak decays of the axial-vector tetraquark $T_{bb;\bar{u} \bar{d}}^{-}$ to the scalar state $Z_{bc;\bar{u} \bar{d}}^{0}$ are investigated using the QCD three-point sum rule approach. In order to explore the process $T_{bb; \bar{u} \bar{d}}^{-} \to Z_{bc;\bar{u} \bar{d}}^{0}l \bar{ν_l}$, we recalculate the spectroscopic parameters of the tetraquark $T_{bb;\bar{u} \bar{d}}^{-}$ and find the mass and coupling of the scalar four-quark system $Z_{bc;\bar{u} \bar{d}}^{0}$, which are important ingredients of calculations. The spectroscopic parameters of these tetraquarks are computed in the frame…
Very recently, the D0 collaboration has reported the observation of a narrow structure, $X(5568)$, in the decay process $X(5568)\to B^0_sπ^\pm$ using the 10.4${\rm fb}^{-1}$ data of $p\bar p$ collision at $\sqrt s= 1.96$ TeV. This structure is of great interest since it is the first hadronic state with four different valence quark flavors, $b,s,u,d$. In this work, we investigate tetraquarks with four different quark flavors. Based on the diquark-antidiquark scheme, we study the spectroscopy of the tetraquarks with one heavy bottom/charm quark and three light quarks. We find that the lowest-lyi…
We apply the method of QCD sum rules to study the structure $X$ newly observed by the BESIII Collaboration in the $ϕη^\prime$ mass spectrum in 2.0-2.1 GeV region in the $J/ψ\rightarrow ϕηη^\prime$ decay. We construct all the $s s \bar s \bar s$ tetraquark currents with $J^{PC} = 1^{+-}$, and use them to perform QCD sum rule analyses. One current leads to reliable QCD sum rule results and the mass is extracted to be $2.00^{+0.10}_{-0.09}$ GeV, suggesting that the structure $X$ can be interpreted as an $s s \bar s \bar s$ tetraquark state with $J^{PC} = 1^{+-}$. The $Y(2175)$ can be interpreted …
We have studied the mass spectra of the hidden-charm/bottom $qc\bar q\bar c$, $sc\bar s\bar c$ and $qb\bar q\bar b$, $sb\bar s\bar b$ tetraquark states with $J^{PC}=0^{++}$ and $2^{++}$ in the framework of QCD sum rules. We construct ten scalar and four tensor interpolating currents in a systematic way and calculate the mass spectra for these tetraquark states. The $X^\ast(3860)$ may be either an isoscalar tetraquark state or $χ_{c0}(2P)$. If the $X^\ast(3860)$ is a tetraquark candidate, our results prefer the $0^{++}$ option over the $2^{++}$ one. The $X(4160)$ may be classified as either the…
The mass and coupling of the doubly charmed $J^P=0^{-}$ diquark-antidiquark states $T_{cc;\bar{s} \bar{s}}^{++}$ and $T_{cc;\bar{d} \bar{s}}^{++}$ that bear two units of the electric charge are calculated by means of QCD two-point sum rule method. Computations are carried out by taking into account vacuum condensates up to and including terms of tenth dimension. The dominant $S$-wave decays of these tetraquarks to a pair of conventional $ D_{s}^{+}D_{s0}^{\ast +}(2317)$ and $D^{+}D_{s0}^{\ast +}(2317)$ mesons are explored using QCD three-point sum rule approach, and their widths are found. The…
Hadronic states composed of multi-quark flavors may exist in reality since they are not prohibited by QCD. Compact four quark systems of color singlet are classified as tetraquarks. To understand the properties of these states, more theoretical and experimental efforts are needed. In this work, we study charmed tetraquarks with three light flavors using flavor $SU(3)$ symmetry. States with three different light quarks must be in a ${\bf \bar 6 }$ or a ${\bf 15}$ multiplet. We investigate the production of charmed tetraquarks $X_c$ in $B\to X_c (\overline {X}_c) P$ and $B_c \to X_c P$ decays. W…
In this paper we perform a detailed study of the masses and mixing of the single charmed scalar tetraquarks: $c q \bar{q} \bar{q}$. We also give a systematic analysis of these tetraquark states by weight diagrams, quantum numbers and flavor wave functions. Tetraquark masses are calculated using four different fits. The following SU(3)$_\mathrm{F}$ representations are discussed: $\bar{15}_\mathrm{S}$, $\bar{3}_\mathrm{S}$, $6_\mathrm{A}$ and $\bar{3}_\mathrm{A}$. We use the flavor-spin Glozman-Riska interaction Hamiltonian with SU(3) flavor symmetry breaking. There are 27 different tetraquarks …
The dynamical diquark model assumes that exotic hadrons can be formed from colored diquarks. This model asserts a multiquark exotic state composed of a compact diquark $δ$ and antidiquark $\barδ$ for a tetraquark interacting through a gluonic field of finite extent. Using Born-Oppenheimer (BO) approximation and BO potential calculated numerically on the lattice, we study mass spectra of $S-$wave $cc\bar{b}\bar{b}$, $bc\bar{c}\bar{c}$, and $bc\bar{b}\bar{b}$ tetraquark systems in the basis of diquark spins. We assume that colour-antitriple diquark and colour-triplet antidiquark form tetraquark …
Motivated by the Belle Collaboration's new observation of $Y(4626)$, we investigate the possibility of its configuration as a $P$-wave $[cs][\bar{c}\bar{s}]$ tetraquark state from QCD sum rules. Eventually, the extracted mass $4.60^{+0.13}_{-0.19}~\mbox{GeV}$ for the $P$-wave $cs$-scalar-diquark $\bar{c}\bar{s}$-scalar-antidiquark state agrees well with the experimental data of $Y(4626)$, which could support its interpretation as a $P$-wave scalar-scalar $[cs][\bar{c}\bar{s}]$ tetraquark state.
In this work we study the mass spectra of the fully-heavy tetraquark systems, i.e. $cc\bar{c}\bar{c}$, $bb\bar{b}\bar{b}$, $bb\bar{c}\bar{c}/cc\bar{b}\bar{b}$, $bc\bar{c}\bar{c}/cc\bar{b}\bar{c}$, $bc\bar{b}\bar{b}/bb\bar{b}\bar{c}$, and $bc\bar{b}\bar{c}$, within a potential model by including the linear confining potential, Coulomb potential, and spin-spin interactions. It shows that the linear confining potential has important contributions to the masses and is crucial for our understanding of the mass spectra of the fully-heavy tetraquark systems. For the fully-heavy tetraquarks $Q_1Q_2\ba…
In the simple color-magnetic interaction model, we investigate possible ground $cs\bar{c}\bar{s}$ tetraquark states in the diquark-antidiquark basis. We use several methods to estimate the mass spectrum and discuss possible assignment for the $X$ states observed in the $J/ψϕ$ channel. We find that assigning the Belle $X(4350)$ as a $0^{++}$ tetraquark is consistent with the tetraquark interpretation for the $X(4140)$ and $X(4270)$ while the interpretation of the $X(4500)$ and $X(4700)$ needs orbital or radial excitation. There probably exist several tetraquarks around 4.3 GeV that decay into $…
In the heavy-quark limit, the two heavy quarks in a doubly heavy baryon or a doubly heavy tetraquark are bound by their color-Coulomb potential into a compact diquark. The doubly heavy hadrons are related by the approximate heavy-quark--diquark symmetry of QCD to the heavy hadrons obtained by replacing the heavy diquark by a heavy antiquark. Effective field theories can be used to expand the masses of singly heavy hadrons and doubly heavy hadrons in inverse powers of the heavy quark masses. The coefficients in the expansions for doubly heavy tetraquarks can be determined from those for heavy m…
In this work, we study systematically the mass splittings of the $qq\bar{Q}\bar{Q}$ ($q=u$, $d$, $s$ and $Q=c$, $b$) tetraquark states with the color-magnetic interaction by considering color mixing effects and estimate roughly their masses. We find that the color mixing effect is relatively important for the $J^P=0^+$ states and possible stable tetraquarks exist in the $nn\bar{Q}\bar{Q}$ ($n=u$, $d$) and $ns\bar{Q}\bar{Q}$ systems either with $J=0$ or with $J=1$. Possible decay patterns of the tetraquarks are briefly discussed.
We briefly review the stability of the $QQ\bar q\bar q$-type of tetraquarks with two heavy quarks and two light antiquarks. We present the first comprehensive estimate of the lifetime and leading decay modes of the exotic meson $bb\bar u\bar d$ with double beauty.
Inspired by recent measurement of possible fully charmed tetraquarks in LHCb Collaboration, we investigate the mass spectra of fully heavy tetraquarks $QQ \bar Q \bar Q$ in an extended relativized quark model. Our estimations indicate that the broad structure around 6.4 GeV should contain one or more ground $cc \bar c \bar c$ tetraquark states, while the narrow structure near 6.9 GeV can be categorized as the first radial excitation of $cc \bar c \bar c$ system. Moreover, with the wave functions of the tetraquarks and mesons, the strong decays of tetraquarks into heavy quarkonium pair are qual…
We investigate the possibility of $qq^\prime \bar b \bar b$ tetraquark bound states using $n_f=2+1$ lattice QCD ensembles with pion masses $\simeq 164$, $299$, and $415$ MeV. Motivated by observations from heavy baryon phenomenology, we consider two lattice interpolating operators both of which are expected to couple efficiently to tetraquark states: one with diquark-antidiquark and one with a meson-meson structure. Using nonrelativistic QCD to simulate the bottom quarks, we study the $ud\bar b \bar b$, $\ell s\bar b \bar b$ channels with $\ell=u,d$, and find unambiguous signals for strong-int…
We have studied the masse spectra for the $cc\bar{b}\bar{b}$/$bb\bar{c}\bar{c}$ tetraquark states with quantum numbers $J^{P}=0^{\pm},1^{\pm}$, and $2^{+}$. We systematically construct the interpolating currents with various spin-parity quantum numbers and calculate their two-point correlation functions in the framework of QCD moment sum rule method. Our calculations show that the masses are about $12.3-12.4$ GeV for the positive parity $cc\bar{b}\bar{b}$ tetraquark ground states with $J^{P}=0^+, 1^+, 2^+$, while $12.8-13.1$ GeV for the negative parity channels with $J^{P}=0^-, 1^-$. The mass …
The exact eigenenergies of the $T_{4c}=[cc][\bar{c}\bar{c}]$, $T_{4b}=[bb][\bar{b}\bar{b}]$, and $T_{2[bc]}=[bc][\bar{b}\bar{c}]$ tetraquarks are calculated within the extended transitional Hamiltonian approach, in which the so-called Bethe \emph{ansatz} within an infinite-dimensional Lie algebra is used. We fit the parameters appearing in the transitional region from phenomenology associated with potential candidates of tetraquarks. The rotation and vibration transitional theory seems to provide a better description of heavy tetraquarks than other attempts within the same formalism. Our resul…
The goal of the present work is to obtain a reliable estimate of the masses of the ground and radially excited states of fully-heavy tetraquark systems. In order to do this, we use a nonrelativistic model of tetraquarks which are assumed to be compact and consist of diquark-antidiquark pairs. This nonrelativistic model is composed of Hulthen potential, a linear confining potential and spin-spin interaction. We computed ground, first, and second radially excited $cc\bar{c}\bar{c}$ and $bb\bar{b}\bar{b}$ tetraquark masses. It was found that predicted masses of ground states of $cc\bar{c}\bar{c}$…
We study the mass splittings of $Q_1q_2\bar{Q}_3\bar{q}_4$ ($Q=c,b$, $q=u,d,s$) tetraquark states with chromomagnetic interactions between their quark components. Assuming that $X(4140)$ is the lowest $J^{PC}=1^{++}$ $cs\bar{c}\bar{s}$ tetraquark, we estimate the masses of the other tetraquark states. From the obtained masses and defined measure reflecting effective quark interactions, we find the following assignments for several exotic states: (1) both $X(3860)$ and the newly observed $Z_c(4100)$ seem to be $0^{++}$ $cn\bar{c}\bar{n}$ tetraquarks; (2) $Z_c(4200)$ is probably a $1^{+-}$ $cn\b…
We compare two frequently discussed competing structures for a stable $\bar b \bar b u d$ tetraquark with quantum numbers $I(J^P) = 0(1^+)$ by considering a meson-meson as well as a diquark-antidiquark creation operator. We treat the heavy antiquarks as static with fixed positions and find diquark-antidiquark dominance for $\bar b \bar b$ separations $r < 0.2 \, \text{fm}$, while for $r > 0.5 \, \text{fm}$ the system essentially corresponds to a pair of $B$ mesons. For the meson-meson to diquark-antidiquark ratio of the tetraquark we obtain around $58\%/42\%$.
Assuming $Y_{b}(10890)$ as a P-wave $bq$-scalar-diquark $\bar{b}\bar{q}$-scalar-antidiquark tetraquark state, the mass of $Y_{b}(10890)$ is computed in the framework of QCD sum rule method. Technically, contributions of operators up to dimension six are included in the operator product expansion (OPE). The numerical result $10.88\pm0.13 GeV$ for $Y_{b}(10890)$ agrees well with the experimental value, which favors the P-wave $[bq][\bar{b}\bar{q}]$ tetraquark configuration for $Y_{b}(10890)$. In the same picture, the mass of $Y(4360)$ is calculated and the result $4.32\pm0.20 GeV$ is compatible …
The low-lying $S$-wave $QQ\bar{s}\bar{s}$ ($Q=c, b$) tetraquark states with $IJ^P=00^+$, $01^+$ and $02^+$ are systematically investigated in the framework of complex scaling range of chiral quark model. Every structure including meson-meson, diquark-antidiquark and K-type configurations, and all possible color channels in four-body sector are considered by means of a commonly extended variational approach, Gaussian expansion method. Several narrow and wide resonance states are obtained for $cc\bar{s}\bar{s}$ and $bb\bar{s}\bar{s}$ tetraquarks with $IJ^P=00^+$ and $02^+$. Meanwhile, narrow res…
We have systematically calculated the mass spectra for S-wave and P-wave fully-charm $c\bar{c}c\bar{c}$ and fully-bottom $b\bar{b}b\bar{b}$ tetraquark states in the $\mathbf{8}_{[Q\bar{Q}]}\otimes \mathbf{8}_{[Q\bar{Q}]}$ color configuration, by using the moment QCD sum rule method. The masses for the fully-charm $c\bar cc\bar c$ tetraquark states are predicted about $6.3-6.5$ GeV for S-wave channels and $7.0-7.2$ GeV for P-wave channels. These results suggest the possibility that there are some $\mathbf{8}_{[c\bar{c}]}\otimes \mathbf{8}_{[c\bar{c}]}$ components in LHCb's di-$J/ψ$ structures. …
Masses of the ground-state teraquarks composed from heavy $c$ and $b$ quarks and antiquarks are calculated in the diquark-antidiquark picture in the framework of the relativistic quark model based on the quasipotential approach. The quasipotentials of the quark-quark and diquark-antidiquark interactions are constructed similarly to the previous consideration of mesons and baryons. It is assumed that the diquark and antidiquark interact in the tetraquark as a whole and the internal structure of the diquarks is taken into account. All such tetraquarks are found above the thresholds of decays to …
We calculate the spectrum of $q\bar q c \bar c$ and $s\bar s c \bar c$ tetraquarks, where $q$, $s$ and $c$ stand for light ($u,d$), strange and charm quarks, respectively, in a relativized diquark model, characterized by one-gluon-exchange (OGE) plus confining potential. In the diquark model, a $q\bar q c \bar c$ ($s\bar s c \bar c$) tetraquark configuration is made up of a heavy-light diquark, $q c$ ($sc$), and anti-diquark, $\bar q \bar c$ ($\bar s \bar c$). According to our results, 13 charmonium-like observed states can be accommodated in the tetraquark picture, both in the hidden-charm ($…
For very heavy quarks $Q$, relations derived from heavy-quark symmetry predict the existence of novel narrow doubly heavy tetraquark states of the form $Q_iQ_j \bar q_k \bar q_l$ (subscripts label flavors), where $q$ designates a light quark. By evaluating finite-mass corrections, we predict that double-beauty states composed of $bb\bar u \bar d$, $bb\bar u \bar s$, and $bb\bar d \bar s$ will be stable against strong decays, whereas the double-charm states $cc \bar q_k \bar q_l$, mixed beauty+charm states $bc \bar q_k \bar q_l$, and heavier $bb \bar q_k \bar q_l$ states will dissociate into pa…
In this talk, we briefly report the investigations of the mass spectra for the $cc\bar c\bar c, bb\bar b\bar b$, $bc\bar b\bar c$ and $cc\bar b\bar b$ tetraquark states by using the QCD moment sum rule method. The calculations for the fully-charm $cc\bar c\bar c$ tetraquarks have been successfully predicted the existence of di-$J/ψ$ resonances including $X(6900)$ in LHCb's observation. The quantum numbers for these resonance structures are also suggested. More efforts are still needed in both theoretical and experimental aspects to study the properties of these fully-heavy tetraquark states. T…
We study the tetraquark states with I^G J^{PC}=1^- 1^{-+} in the QCD sum rule. After exhausting all possible flavor structures, we analyses both the SVZ and finite energy sum rules. Both approaches lead to a mass around 1.6 GeV for the state with the quark contents q q q_bar q_bar, and around 2.0 GeV for the state with the quark contents q s q_bar s_bar. The flavor structure 3_bar * 6_bar + 6 * 3 is preferred. Our analysis strongly indicates that both pi1(1600) and pi1(2015) are also compatible with the exotic tetraquark interpretation, which are sometimes labeled as candidates of the 1^{-+} h…
The existence of a shallow or virtual tetraquark state, $cc\bar{u}\bar{d}$, is discussed. Using the putative masses for the doubly charmed baryons ($ccu/ccd$) from SELEX, the mass of the $cc\bar{u}\bar{d}$ state is estimated to be about $3.9 GeV$, only slightly above the $DD^*$ threshold. The experimental signatures for various $cc\bar{u}\bar{d}$ masses are also discussed.
In recent years, the existence of a hadronically stable $\bar{b} \bar{b} u d$ tetraquark with quantum numbers $I(J^P) = 0(1^+)$ was confirmed by first principles lattice QCD computations. In this work we use lattice QCD to compare two frequently discussed competing structures for this tetraquark by considering meson-meson as well as diquark-antidiquark creation operators. We use the static-light approximation, where the two $\bar{b}$ quarks are assumed to be infinitely heavy with frozen positions, while the light $u$ and $d$ quarks are fully relativistic. By minimizing effective energies and b…
Experimentally several charged axial-vector hidden-charm states were reported. Within the framework of the color-magnetic interaction, we have systematically considered the mass spectrum of the hidden-charm and hidden-bottom tetraquark states. It is impossible to accommodate all the three charged states $Z_c(3900)$, $Z_c(4025)$ and $Z_c(4200)$ within the axial vector tetraquark spectrum simultaneously. Not all these three states are tetraquark candidates. Moreover, the eigenvector of the chromomagnetic interaction contains valuable information of the decay pattern of the tetraquark states. The…
