The state space of excited giant graviton brane systems is given by the Gauss graph operators. After restricting to the $su(2|3)$ sector of the theory, we consider this state space. Our main result is the decomposition of this state space into irreducible representations of the $su(2|2)\ltimes\mathbb{R}$ global symmetry. Excitations of the giant graviton branes are charged under a central extension of the global symmetry. The central extension generates gauge transformations so that the action of the central extension vanishes on physical states. Indeed, we explicitly demonstrate that the central charge is set to zero by the Gauss Law of the brane world volume gauge theory.
The Poisson-Lie (PL) T-duality is a generalized T-duality based on the Lie algebra of the Drinfel'd double. In particular, when we consider the PL T-duality of a coset space, the dual space is found to be a generalized coset space, which is called the dressing coset. In this paper, we investigate an extension of the dressing cosets to the U-duality setup. We propose the gauged actions for various branes in M-theory and type IIB theory, where the generalized metric is constructed by using the Exceptional Drinfel'd Algebra (EDA) and the gauge algebra is a certain isotropic subalgebra of the EDA.…
Recent work has shown that two-dimensional non-linear $σ$-models on group manifolds with Poisson-Lie symmetry can be understood within generalised geometry as exemplars of generalised parallelisable spaces. Here we extend this idea to target spaces constructed as double cosets $M=\widetilde{G} \backslash D / H$. Mirroring conventional coset geometries, we show that on $M$ one can construct a generalised frame field and a $H$-valued generalised spin connection that together furnish an algebra under the generalised Lie derivative. This results naturally in a generalised covariant derivative with…
We find a two-parameter family of solutions of the Yang-Mills equations for gauge group SO(1,3) on Minkowski space by foliating different parts of it with non-compact coset spaces with SO(1,3) isometry. The interior of the lightcone is foliated with hyperbolic space $H^3\cong \text{SO}(1,3)/\text{SO}(3)$, while the exterior of the lightcone employs de Sitter space dS$_3\cong \text{SO}(1,3)/\text{SO}(1,2)$. The lightcone itself is parametrized by SO(1,3)/ISO(2) in a nilpotent fashion. Equivariant reduction of the SO(1,3) Yang-Mills system on the first two coset spaces yields a mechanical system…
