Hidden Gauge Structure of Supersymmetric Free Differential Algebras

The aim of this paper is to clarify the role of the nilpotent fermionic generator Q' introduced in Ref. [3] and appearing in the hidden supergroup underlying the free differential algebra (FDA) of D=11 supergravity. We give a physical explanation of its role by looking at the gauge properties of the theory. We find that its presence is necessary, in order that the extra 1-forms of the hidden supergroup give rise to the correct gauge transformations of the p-forms of the FDA. Refined topological vertex for a 5D $Sp(N)$ gauge theory with antisymmetric matter

We consider Type IIB 5-brane web diagrams for a 5D $Sp(N)$ gauge theory with an antisymmetric hypermultiplet and $N_f$ fundamental hypermultiplets. The corresponding 5-branes can be obtained by Higgsing a 5-brane web for quiver gauge theory. We use the refined topological vertex formalism to compute Nekrasov partition functions of 5D $Sp(2)$ theories with one antisymmetric hypermultiplet and flavors. Our results agree with the known results obtained from the ADHM method. We also discuss a particular tuning of Kähler parameters associated with this Higgsing.

On the $D_n$ Spin Vertex Models for Odd $n$

Solvable vertex models in two dimensions are of importance in conformal field theory, phase transitions and integrable models. We consider here the $D_n$ spin vertex models, for $n$ which is odd. The models involve also the anti--spinor representation. We describe here the Boltzmann weights for these representations using crossing symmetry from the previously known spinor representations. For calculation reasons we limit ourself to the $n=3$ and $n=5$ cases, which are described explicitly.

Integrable boundary conditions in the antiferromagnetic Potts model

We present an exact mapping between the staggered six-vertex model and an integrable model constructed from the twisted affine $D_2^2$ Lie algebra.
