We construct quantum K-invariants in non-archimedean analytic geometry. Contrary to the classical approach in algebraic geometry via perfect obstruction theory, we build on our previous works on the foundations of derived non-archimedean geometry, the representability theorem and Gromov compactness. We obtain a list of natural geometric relations between the stacks of stable maps, directly at the derived level, with respect to elementary operations on graphs, namely, products, cutting edges, forgetting tails and contracting edges. They imply immediately the corresponding properties of quantum K-invariants. The derived approach produces highly intuitive statements and functorial proofs. The flexibility of our derived approach to quantum K-invariants allows us to impose not only simple incidence conditions for marked points, but also incidence conditions with multiplicities. This leads to a new set of enumerative invariants. For the proofs, we further develop the foundations of derived non-archimedean geometry in this paper: we study derived lci morphisms, relative analytification, and deformation to the normal bundle. Our motivations come from non-archimedean enumerative geometry and mirror symmetry.
Motivated by mirror symmetry and the enumeration of holomorphic disks, we construct the theory of Gromov-Witten invariants in the setting of non-archimedean analytic geometry. We build on our previous works on derived non-archimedean geometry and non-archimedean quantum K-invariants, as well as recent developments of rigid analytic motives and virtual fundamental classes in derived geometry. Our approach gives also a new perspective for the classical algebraic case.
This survey paper explains how one can attach geometric invariants to semialgebraic sets defined over non-archimedean fields, using the theory of motivic integration of Hrushovski and Kazhdan. It also discusses tropical methods to compute these invariants in concrete cases, as well as an application to refined curve counting, developed in collaboration with Sam Payne and Franziska Schroeter.
In this paper we generalize the $j$-invariant criterion for the semistable reduction type of an elliptic curve to superelliptic curves $X$ given by $y^{n}=f(x)$. We first define a set of tropical invariants for $f(x)$ using symmetrized Plücker coordinates and we show that these invariants determine the tree associated to $f(x)$. We then prove that this tree completely determines the reduction type of $X$ for $n$ that are not divisible by the residue characteristic. The conditions on the tropical invariants that distinguish between the different types are given by half-spaces as in the elliptic…
Tropical toric varieties are partial compactifications of finite dimensional real vector spaces associated with rational polyhedral fans. We introduce plurisubharmonic functions and a Bedford--Taylor product for Lagerberg currents on open subsets of a tropical toric variety. The resulting tropical toric pluripotential theory provides the link to give a canonical correspondence between complex and non-archimedean pluripotential theories of invariant plurisubharmonic functions on toric varieties. We will apply this correspondence to solve invariant non-archimedean Monge--Ampère equations on tori…

We provide a construction of the moduli space of stable coherent sheaves in the world of non-archimedean geometry, where we use the notion of Berkovich non-archimedean analytic spaces. The motivation for our construction is Tony Yue Yu's non-archimedean enumerative geometry in Gromov-Witten theory. The construction of the moduli space of stable sheaves using Berkovich analytic spaces will give rise to the non-archimedean version of Donaldson-Thomas invariants. In this paper we give the moduli construction over a non-archimedean field $\kk$. We use the machinery of formal schemes, that is, we d…
Let $V$ be a complete discrete valuation ring with fraction field $F$ of characteristic zero and with residue field $\mathbb{F}$. We introduce analytic cyclic homology of complete torsion-free bornological algebras over $V$. We prove that it is homotopy invariant, stable, invariant under certain nilpotent extensions, and satisfies excision. We use these properties to compute it for tensor products with dagger completions of Leavitt path algebras. If $R$ is a smooth commutative $V$-algebra of relative dimension $1$, then we identify its analytic cyclic homology with Berthelot's rigid cohomology…
This is the second in a series of two papers studying $μ$-cscK metrics and $μ$K-stability from a new perspective, inspired by observations on $μ$-character in arXiv:2004.06393 and on Perelman's $W$-entropy in the first paper arXiv:2101.11197. This second paper is devoted to studying a non-archimedean counterpart of Perelman's $μ$-entropy. The concept originally appeared as $μ$-character of polarized family in the previous research arXiv:2004.06393, where we used it to introduce an analogue of CM line bundle adapted to $μ$K-stability. We firstly show some differential of the characteristic $μ$-…
We prove a formula expressing the motivic integral (\cite{ls}) of a K3 surface over $\bC((t))$ with semi-stable reduction in terms of the associated limit Hodge structure. Secondly, for every smooth variety over a non-archimedean field we define an analogue of the monodromy pairing, constructed by Grothendieck in the case of Abelian varieties, and prove that our monodromy pairing is a birational invariant of the variety. Finally, we propose a conjectural formula for the motivic integral of maximally degenerated K3 surfaces over an arbitrary non-archimedean field and prove this conjecture for K…
Let $X$ be a smooth geometrically connected projective curve of genus two over a complete non-archimedean field $K$. For discretely valued $K$, the first main theorem in \cite{liu} gives a set of criteria on the Igusa invariants of the curve that determine the minimal Berkovich skeleton of $X$ together with its edge lengths and vertex weights. In this paper we use the theory of Berkovich spaces to give a new proof of this theorem that works for arbitrary complete non-archimedean fields. We furthermore interpret the final result in terms of tropical moduli spaces and tropical Igusa invariants. …
We introduce a variant of homotopy K-theory for Tate rings, which we call analytic K-theory. It is homotopy invariant with respect to the analytic affine line viewed as an ind-object of closed disks of increasing radii. Under a certain regularity assumption we prove an analytic analog of the Bass fundamental theorem and we compare analytic K-theory with continuous K-theory, which is defined in terms models. Along the way we also prove some results about the algebraic K-theory of Tate rings.
We construct a derived enhancement of Hom spaces between rigid analytic spaces. It encodes the hidden deformation-theoretic informations of the underlying classical moduli space. The main tool in our construction is the representability theorem in derived analytic geometry, which has been established in our previous work. The representability theorem provides us sufficient and necessary conditions for an analytic moduli functor to possess the structure of a derived analytic stack. In order to verify the conditions of the representability theorem, we prove several general results in the context…
Let $K$ be an algebraically closed non-Archimedean field. Leonard Lipshitz has introduced a manageable notion of subanalytic sets of the unit polydisc. This class contains the class of affinoid sets and is stable under projection. We associate to a subanalytic set its counterpart in the Berkovich polydisc. This allows us to give a new insight to the dimension of subanalytic sets using the degrees of the completed residual fields. With these methods we obtain new results, such as the invariance of the dimension under subanalytic bijection in any characteristic. Then we study more generally subs…
The purpose of the present paper is to set up a formalism inspired from non-Archimedean geometry to study K-stability. We first provide a detailed analysis of Duistermaat-Heckman measures in the context of test configurations, characterizing in particular the trivial case. For any normal polarized variety (or, more generally, polarized pair in the sense of the Minimal Model Program), we introduce and study the non-Archimedean analogues of certain classical functionals in Kähler geometry. These functionals are defined on the space of test configurations, and the Donaldson-Futaki invariant is in…
We discuss examples of non-commutative spaces over non-archimedean fields. Those include non-commutative and quantum affinoid algebras, quantized K3 surfaces and quantized locally analytic p-adic groups.
In the first part of the paper we generalize a descent technique due to Harish-Chandra to the case of a reductive group acting on a smooth affine variety both defined over arbitrary local field F of characteristic zero. Our main tool is Luna slice theorem. In the second part of the paper we apply this technique to symmetric pairs. In particular we prove that the pair (GL(n,C),GL(n,R)) is a Gelfand pair. We also prove that any conjugation invariant distribution on GL(n,F) is invariant with respect to transposition. For non-archimedean F the later is a classical theorem of Gelfand and Kazhdan. W…
In this paper we use motivic integration and non-archimedean analytic geometry to study the singularities at infinity of the fibers of a polynomial map $f\colon \mathbb A^d_\mathbb C \to \mathbb A^1_\mathbb C$. We show that the motive $S_{f,a}^{\infty}$ of the motivic nearby cycles at infinity of $f$ for a value $a$ is a motivic generalization of the classical invariant $λ_f(a)$, an integer that measures a lack of equisingularity at infinity in the fiber $f^{-1}(a)$. We then introduce a non-archimedean analytic nearby fiber at infinity $\mathcal F_{f,a}^{\infty}$ whose motivic volume recovers …
