Direct CP violation in the hadronic charm decays provides a good testing ground for the Kobayashi-Maskawa mechanism in the Standard Model. Any significant deviations from the expectation would be indirect evidence of physics beyond the Standard Model. In view of improved measurements from LHCb and BESIII experiments, we re-analyze the Cabibbo-favored $D \to P\!P$ and $V\!P$ decays in the topological diagram approach. By assuming certain SU(3)-breaking effects in the tree-type amplitudes, we make predictions for both branching fractions and CP asymmetries of the singly Cabibbo-suppressed decay modes. While the color-allowed and -suppressed amplitudes are preferred to scale by the factor dictated by factorization in the $P\!P$ modes, no such scaling is required in the $V\!P$ modes. The $W$-exchange amplitudes are found to change by 10\% to 50\% and depend on whether $d\overline{d}$ or $s\overline{s}$ pair directly emerges from $W$-exchange. The predictions of branching fractions are generally improved after these SU(3) symmetry breaking effects are taken into account. We show in detail how the tree-type, QCD-penguin, and weak penguin-annihilation diagrams contribute and modify CP asymmetry predictions. Future measurements of sufficiently many direct CP asymmetries will be very useful in removing a discrete ambiguity in the strong phases as well as discriminating among different theory approaches. In particular, we predict $a_{CP}(K^+K^-)-a_{CP}(π^+π^-) = (-1.14 \pm 0.26) \times 10^{-3}$ or $(-1.25 \pm 0.25) \times 10^{-3}$, consistent with the latest data, and $a_{CP}(K^+K^{*-})-a_{CP}(π^+ρ^-) = (-1.52 \pm 0.43) \times 10^{-3}$, an attractive and measurable observable in the near future. Moreover, we observe that such CP asymmetry differences are dominated by long-distance penguin-exchange through final-state rescattering.
After a brief review of the minimal flavour violation hypothesis and its implementation in the MSSM, the most general parametrisation of the soft supersymmetry-breaking terms by means of the charged lepton and neutrino spurions is constructed. Thereby a type I seesaw mechanism is assumed to generate neutrino masses. This expansion introduces several new CP-violating phases, whose effects on the leptonic electric dipole moments are investigated.
The Minimal Lepton Flavour Violation (MLFV) framework is discussed after the recent indication for CP violation in the leptonic sector. Among the three distinct versions of MLFV, the one with degenerate right-handed neutrinos will be disfavoured, if this indication is confirmed. The predictions for leptonic radiative rare decays and muon conversion in nuclei are analysed, identifying strategies to disentangle the different MLFV scenarios. The claim that the present anomalies in the semi-leptonic $B$-meson decays can be explained within the MLFV context is critically re-examined concluding that…
Precision measurement of the neutrino mixing parameters and the determination of mass hierarchy are the primary goals of the present and upcoming neutrino experiments. In this work, we study the sensitivity of T2K,NO$ν$A and LBNE experiments to discover leptonic CP violation and the determination of neutrino mass hierarchy. We obtain the correlation between the CP violating phase $δ_{CP}$ and the mixing angles $θ_{13}$, $θ_{23}$ and the sensitivity to determine the octant of atmospheric mixing angle $θ_{23}$. The entire analysis is done for a total 10 years (5$ν$+ 5$\bar ν$) of running of T2K,…
We revisit the minimal supersymmetric SU(5) grand unified theory with three right-handed neutrinos in which universality conditions for soft-supersymmetry breaking parameters are imposed at an input scale above the unification scale. If the Majorana masses for the neutrinos are around $10^{15}$ GeV, large mixing angles and phases in the neutrino sector lead to flavor-violation and CP-violation in the right-handed down squark and left-handed slepton sectors. Since the observed Higgs boson mass and the proton decay constraints indicate sfermions have masses larger than a few TeV, flavor and CP c…
New physics contributions to the $Z$ penguin are revisited in the light of the recently-reported discrepancy of the direct CP violation in $K\toππ$. Interference effects between the standard model and new physics contributions to $ΔS = 2$ observables are taken into account. Although the effects are overlooked in the literature, they make experimental bounds significantly severer. It is shown that the new physics contributions must be tuned to enhance $\mathcal{B}(K_L \to π^{0} ν\barν)$, if the discrepancy of the direct CP violation is explained with satisfying the experimental constraints. The…
We revisit the heavy quarkonium leptonic decays $ψ(nS) \to \ell^+\ell^-$ and $Υ(nS) \to \ell^+\ell^-$ using the Bethe-Salpeter method. The emphasis is on the relativistic correction. For the $ψ(1S-5S)$ decays, the relativistic effects are $22^{+3}_{-2}\%$, $34^{+5}_{-5}\%$, $41^{+6}_{-6}\%$, $52^{+11}_{-13}\%$ and $62^{+14}_{-12}\%$, respectively. For the $Υ(1S-5S)$ decays, the relativistic effects are $14^{+1}_{-2}\%$, $23^{+0}_{-3}\%$, $20^{+8}_{-2}\%$, $21^{+6}_{-7}\%$ and $28^{+2}_{-7}\%$, respectively. Thus, the relativistic corrections are large and important in heavy quarkonium leptonic…
Lepton flavour universality (LFU) in B-decays is revisited by considering a class of semileptonic operators defined at a scale Lambda above the electroweak scale v. The importance of quantum effects, so far neglected in the literature, is emphasised. We construct the low-energy effective Lagrangian taking into account the running effects from Lambda down to v through the one-loop renormalization group equations (RGE) in the limit of exact electroweak symmetry and QED RGEs from v down to the 1 GeV scale. The most important quantum effects turn out to be the modification of the leptonic coupling…
The ATLAS and CMS experiments at the CERN LHC have collected about 25 inverse femtobarns (fb) of data each at the end of their 8 TeV run, and ruled out a huge swath of parameter space in the context of Minimally Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). Limits on masses of the gluino have been pushed to above 1 TeV. These limits are however extremely model dependent and do not always reflect the level of exclusion. So far the limits on the gluino mass using the simplified model approach only constrained its value using its three-body decays. We show in this work that already existing ATLAS and CMS…
Within the framework of QCD factorization (QCDF), we consider two different types of power correction effects in order to resolve the CP puzzles and rate deficit problems with penguin-dominated two-body decays of B mesons and color-suppressed tree-dominated $π^0π^0$ and $ρ^0π^0$ modes: penguin annihilation and soft corrections to the color-suppressed tree amplitude. We emphasize that the electroweak penguin solution to the $B\to Kπ$ CP puzzle via New Physics is irrelevant for solving the CP and rate puzzles related to tree-dominated decays. While some channels e.g. $K^-π^+,K^-ρ^0,π^+π^-,ρ^\pmπ…
Combining the up-to-date experimental information on $B\toπK, πK^{\ast}$ and $ρK$ decays, we revisit the decay rates and CP asymmetries of these decays within the framework of QCD factorization. Using an infrared finite gluon propagator of Cornwall prescription, we find that the time-like annihilation amplitude could contribute a large strong phase, while the space-like hard spectator scattering amplitude is real. Numerically, we find that all the branching ratios and most of the direct CP violations, except $A_{CP}(B^{\pm}\to K^{\pm}π^{0})$, agree with the current experimental data with an ef…
In this letter we revisit the Standard Model predictions for $\mathcal{B}(B\to K^{(\ast)}ν\barν)$ and discuss the opportunities that open up when combining its partial decay rate with that of $B\to K^{(\ast)}\ell\ell$. In the Standard Model a suitable ratio of these two modes can be used to extract $C_9^\mathrm{eff}$, which is essential for a reliable phenomenological analysis of the $B\to K^{(\ast)}\ell\ell$ angular observables. The same ratio also proves to be more sensitive to the presence of New Physics in many plausible extensions of the Standard Model. We also suggest that the separate m…
The rare decays B_s -> μ^+μ^- and B -> K^{(*)}μ^+μ^- are sensitive to new particles and couplings via their interferences with the standard model contributions. Recently, the upper bound on B(B_s -> μ^+μ^-) has been improved significantly by the CMS, LHCb, CDF, and DØ experiments. Combining with the measurements of B(B-> K^{(*)}μ^+μ^-), we derive constraints on the relevant parameters of minimal supersymmetic standard model with and without R-parity, and examine their contributions to the dimuon forward-backward asymmetry in B-> K^{*}μ^+μ^- decay. We find that (i) the contribution of R-parity …
In view of the recent measurement of reactor mixing angle $θ_{13}$ and updated limit on $BR(μ\to e γ)$ by the MEG experiment, we re-examine the charged lepton flavor violations in a framework of supersymmetric type II seesaw mechanism. Supersymmetric type II seesaw predicts strong correlation between $BR(μ\to e γ)$ and $BR(τ\to μγ)$ mainly in terms of the neutrino mixing angles. We show that such a correlation can be determined accurately after the measurement of $θ_{13}$. We compute different factors which can affect this correlation and show that the mSUGRA-like scenarios, in which slepton m…
In this work, we recalculate the charmless pure annihilation decays $B_s\to π^+ π^-$ and $B^0 \to K^+ K^-$ by using the perturbative QCD (pQCD) factorization approach, and compare the pQCD predictions with currently available experimental measurements. We used the same set of relevant input parameters and wave functions to make the calculations for the considered decay modes and found the following results: (a) one can provide a consistent pQCD interpretation for both the measured $Br(B_s^0 \to π^+ π^-)$ and $Br(B_d^0 \to K^+ K^-)$ simultaneously; (b) the pQCD predictions for $Br(B_s^0 \to π^+…
We reinvestigate the scenario that the amount of the baryons and the gravitino dark matter is naturally explained by the decay of the Q balls in the gauge-mediated SUSY breaking. Equipped by the more correct decay rates into gravitinos and baryons recently derived, we find that the scenario with the direct production of the gravitino dark matter from the Q-ball decay works naturally.
It is interesting to investigate the OZI-forbidden radiative orthoquarkonium decays $J/ψ\to γπ^0, γη$ and $γη'$ in perturbative QCD. In this work without the approximations adopted in literature we carry out a full one-loop calculation which involves integrations of 4-point and 5-point loop functions. Our numerical results are in agreement with the present data. We also briefly discuss the decays of $J/ψ\to γ+ρ^0$, as well as $Υ\to π^0γ, ηγ, η'γ$.
The theoretical calculation for pseudo--scalars hadronic decays $K \to πa$ is reviewed. %with the Axion-Like-Particle escaping the detection, While one-loop penguin contributions are usually considered, tree-level processes have most often been overlooked in literature. Following the Lepage--Brodsky approach the tree-level contribution to the charged and neutral pseudo--scalar decay in ALP is estimated. Assuming generic ALP couplings to SM fermions, the latest NA62/E949 results for the $K^+ \to π^+ a$ decay and the present/future KOTO results for the $K^0_L \to π^0 a$ decay are used to provide…
We take a closer look at the recently discussed models of hadrons based on holographic ideas and chiral symmetry breaking in five dimensions. We study the two point correlator in detail and look at the field theoretic properties needed to be satisfied by the correlator. It is shown that the spectral density becomes negative, violating the basic requirements for the Kallen-Lehmann representation. We briefly discuss the implications of this violation of the positivity of the spectral density and also discuss possible origin of such a violation in these models. Put simply this means that such mod…
We systematically revisit the baryonic four-body semileptonic decays of $B^- \to {\bf B}\bar{\bf B}'\ell^- \barν_{\ell}$ by the perturbative QCD counting rules with ${\bf B}$ representing octet baryons and $\ell=e,μ$. We study the transition form factors of $B^- \to {\bf B} \bar{\bf B}'$ in the limit of $(p_{\bf B}+p_{\bar{\bf B}'})^2 \to \infty $ with the three-body $\bar{B}\to {\bf B}\bar{\bf B}' M$ and $B^- \to p\bar{p} μ^- \barν_μ$ data along with $SU(3)_f$ flavor symmetry. We calculate the decay branching ratios and angular asymmetries as well as the differential decay branching fractions…
An exact calculation of the Higgs boson decays $H\to q_i q_j$ mediated by flavor changing neutral currents is presented in the context of the Standard Model. Using up-to-date experimental data, branching ratios of the order of $10^{-7}$, $10^{-8}$, $10^{-8}$, and $10^{-15}$ are found for the $\bar{b}s+\bar{s}b$, $\bar{b}d+\bar{d}b$, $\bar{s}d+\bar{d}s$, and $\bar{c}u+\bar{u}c$ decay modes, respectively.
In the context of GUT baryogenesis models, a well-known theorem asserts that CPT conservation and the unitarity of S-matrix require that the lowest order contribution that leads to the generation of a non-zero net CP-violation via the decay of a heavy particle must be to $\mathcal{O}({α_\slashed{B}}^3)$, where $α_\slashed{B}$ is a baryon number (B) violating coupling. We revisit this theorem (which holds for lepton number (L) violation, and hence for leptogenesis as well) and examine its implications for models where the particle content allows the heavy particle to also decay via modes which …
We revisit the rare decays of the Higgs boson to two different quarks in the Standard Model, which arise at the one-loop level. We perform Taylor series expansions to the complete form factors of the decay amplitudes, according to their different mass hierarchies, this allow us to take full advantage of the GIM mechanism to eliminate spurious contributions and retain those that truly contribute. We found that Br$(H\to uc)$=$5.00\times10^{-20}$, Br$(H\to ds)$=$1.19\times10^{-11}$, Br$(H\to db)$=$5.16\times10^{-9}$ and Br$(H\to sb)$=$1.15\times10^{-7}$. Our predictions for the $H\to uc,ds$ decay…
We calculate the branching ratios and CP asymmetries of the $B \to πρ$, $πω$ decays in the perturbative QCD factorization approach up to the next-to-leading-order contributions. We find that the next-to-leading-order contributions can interfere with the leading-order part constructively or destructively for different decay modes. Our numerical results have a much better agreement with current available data than previous leading-order calculations, e.g., the next-to-leading-order corrections enhance the $B^0\rightarrow π^0ρ^0$ branching ratios by a factor 2.5, which is helpful to narrow the ga…
We revisit the current experimental bounds on fourth-generation Majorana neutrino masses, including the effects of right handed neutrinos. Current bounds from LEPII are significantly altered by a global analysis. We show that the current bounds on fourth generation neutrinos decaying to eW and mu W can be reduced to about 80 GeV (from the current bound of 90 GeV), while a neutrino decaying to tau W can be as light as 62.1 GeV. The weakened bound opens up a neutrino decay channel for intermediate mass Higgs, and interesting multi-particle final states for Higgs and fourth generation lepton deca…
The semileptonic decays of $Λ_{b}\toΛ_{c}^{(*)}\ellν_\ell$ and $Λ_{c}\toΛ^{(*)}\ellν_\ell$ are studied in the light-front quark model in this work. Instead of the quark-diquark approximation, we use the three-body wave functions obtained by baryon spectroscopy. The ground states $(1/2^{+})$, the $λ$-mode orbital excited states $(1/2^{-})$, and the first radial excited states $(1/2^{+})$ of $Λ_{(c)}^{(*)}$ are considered. The discussions are given for the form factors, partial widths, branching fractions, leptonic forward-backward asymmetries, hadron polarizations, lepton polarizations, and the…
Triggered by experimentally driven renewed interest in hyperon properties we address the subject of weak radiative hyperon decays (WRHD). We start with the issue of Hara's theorem and briefly discuss the question of its possible evasion. Then, we give a short review of the story of vector-meson-dominance (VMD) approach to WRHD. We stress the shift from the Hara's-theorem-violating to Hara's-theorem-satisfying version of the VMD approach that did occur over time. Finally, spurred by a recent theoretical paper, we discuss the pole model description of WRHD, putting special attention to the issue…
We study the $ρπ$ and $b_1π$ decay modes of the $1^{-+}$ light hybrid state within the framework of light-cone QCD sum rules. We use both the tensor current $\barψσ_{μν}ψ$ and the derivative current $\barψ\overleftrightarrow{D}_μγ_5ψ$ as interpolating currents to calculate the partial decay width of the $b_1π$ decay mode. Comparing the sum rules obtained by using different currents, we obtain $Γ(π_1\to b_1π)$ = 8--23, 32--86 and 52--151\,MeV for $m_{1^{-+}}$ = 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0\,GeV respectively, which favour the results from the flux tube models and lattice simulations. We also use the tensor …
Planck scale lepton number violation is an interesting and natural possibility to explain non-zero neutrino masses. We consider such operators in the context of Randall-Sundrum (RS1) scenarios. Implementation of this scenario with a single Higgs localized on the IR brane (standard RS1) is not phenomenologically viable as they lead to inconsistencies in the charged lepton mass fits. In this work we propose a set-up with two Higgs doublets. We present a detailed numerical analysis of the fits to fermion masses and mixing angles. This model solves the issues regarding the fermion mass fits but so…
We recalculate the branching ratio and CP asymmetry for $\bar{B}^{0} (B^{0})\to π^{0}π^{0}$ decays in the Perturbative QCD approach. In this approach, we consider all the possible diagrams including non-factorizable contributions and annihilation contributions. We obtain $Br(\bar{B}^{0} (B^{0})\to π^{0}π^{0})=(1.17_{-0.12}^{+0.11})\times 10^{-6}$. Our result is in agreement with the latest measured branching ratio of $B^{0}\toπ^{0}π^{0}$ by the Belle and HFAG Collaborations. We also predict large direct CP asymmetry and mixing CP asymmetry in $B^{0}\toπ^{0}π^{0}$ decays, which can be tested by…
The prolific field of B meson decays and CP violation is illustrated in a few examples of recent results: The measurement of the CKM unitarity angle $β= ϕ_1$, the measurement of a significant violation of time reversal symmetry, an unexplained isospin asymmetry in penguin decays, a hint on scalar charged bosons from the semileptonic B decay to the heavy lepton $τ$, and B decays to baryons.
We revisit the calculation of nonfactorizable corrections induced by charm-quark loops in exclusive FCNC $B$-decays. For the sake of clarity, we make use of a field theory with scalar particles: this allows us to focus on the conceptual issues and to avoid technical complications related to particle spins in QCD. We perform a straightforward calculation of the appropriate correlation function and show that it requires the knowledge of the full generic three-particle distribution amplitude with non-aligned arguments, $\langle 0|\bar s(y)G_{μν}(x)b(0)|B(p)\rangle$. Moreover, the dependence of th…
We revisit the existing limits on the gaugino masses in various Supersymmetric (SUSY) scenarios derived from Run-I data of the LHC. These limits obtained from the various final states rely heavily on the simplified assumptions regarding the masses, compositions and decay branching ratios of the gauginos. The most promising exclusion limits on the gaugino masses are obtained from trilepton final states while the second lightest neutralino ($\widetilde χ_2^0$) decaying into the SM-like Higgs and lightest SUSY particle (LSP) results in the weakest bounds. Our aim is to assess the extent of deviat…
It is very important to know the strength of annihilation contribution in B charmless nonleptonic decays. $\bar{B}_{s}\to π^{+}π^{-}$ process could serve a good probe of the strength. We have studied the process in QCD factorization framework. Using a gluon mass scale indicted by the studies of infrared behavior of gluon propagators to avoid enhancements in the soft end point regions, we find that the CP averaged branching ratio is about $1.24\times 10^{-7}$, the direct CP asymmetry $C_{ππ}$ is about -0.05, while the mixing-induced CP asymmetry quite large with the value $S_{ππ}$=0.18. The pro…
Recently, the Belle collaboration measured the ratios of the branching fractions of the newly observed $Ω(2012)$ excited state. They did not observe significant signals for the $Ω(2012) \to \bar{K} Ξ^*(1530) \to \bar{K} πΞ$ decay, and reported an upper limit for the ratio of the three body decay to the two body decay mode of $Ω(2012) \to \bar{K} Ξ$. In this work, we revisit the newly observed $Ω(2012)$ from the molecular perspective where this resonance appears to be a dynamically generated state with spin-parity $3/2^-$ from the coupled channels interactions of the $\bar{K} Ξ^*(1530)$ and $ηΩ…
We study lifetimes of heavy mesons in the 't Hooft model, a large-$N_c$ theory of strong interaction in two-dimensional spacetime. Since this model is solvable, one can evaluate the total decay widths through hadronic amplitudes that are determined unambiguously within the formalism. We investigate quark-hadron duality by numerically comparing the exclusive result and one from the heavy quark expansion, with the contribution of Pauli interference being consistently incorporated. Within certain numerical accuracy, we find that the maximal difference between inclusive and exclusive rates for $τ[…
In this paper, we summarize the existing methods of solving the evolution equation of the leading-twist $B$-meson LCDA. Then, in the Mellin space, we derive a factorization formula with next-to-leading-logarithmic (NLL) resummation for the form factors $F_{A,V}$ in the $B \to γ\ellν$ decay at leading power in $Λ/m_b$. Furthermore, we investigate the power suppressed local contributions, factorizable non-local contributions (which are suppressed by $1/E_γ$ and $1/m_b$), and soft contributions to the form factors. In the numerical analysis, which employs the two-loop-level hard function and the …
We analyze the production of the neutral Higgs particles of the Minimal Supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model at the Fermilab Tevatron collider. We consider the two main production and detection channels: gluon--gluon and bottom quark fusion leading to Higgs bosons which subsequently decay into tau leptons, $gg, b\bar b \to {\rm Higgs} \to τ^+τ^-$. We update the production cross sections and the decay branching ratios and obtain production rates that are significantly smaller at high masses than the ones used by the CDF and D0 experiments in their search. We then evaluate the various …
We revisit the calculation of the width for the radiative decay of a $1^{+-}$ heavy $Q \bar Q$ meson via the channel $1^{+-} \to 0^{-+} +γ$ in the covariant light-front quark model. We carry out the reduction of the light-front amplitude in the non-relativistic limit, explicitly computing the leading and next-to-leading order relativistic corrections. This shows the consistency of the light-front approach with the non-relativistic formula for this electric dipole transition. Furthermore, the theoretical uncertainty in the predicted width is studied as a function of the inputs for the heavy qua…
Final-state rescattering effects on the hadronic B decays and their impact on direct CP violation are examined. The phenomenology of the polarization anomaly in $B\toϕK^*$ decays is discussed.
Various new measurements in charmless $B_{u,d,s}\to PP$ modes, where $P$ is a low lying pseudoscalar meson, are reported by Belle and LHCb. These include the rates of $B^0\toπ^0π^0$, $ηπ^0$, $B_s\toη'η'$, $B^0\to K^+K^-$ and $B^0_s\toπ^+π^-$ decays. Some of these modes are highly suppressed and are among the rarest $B$ decays. Direct CP asymmetries on various modes are constantly updated. It is well known that direct CP asymmetries and rates of suppressed modes are sensitive to final state interaction (FSI). As new measurements are reported and more data will be collected, it is interesting an…

We revisit the status of the new-physics interpretations of the anomalies in semileptonic $B$ decays in light of the new data reported by Belle on the lepton-universality ratios $R_{D^{(*)}}$ using the semileptonic tag and on the longitudinal polarization of the $D^*$ in $B\to D^*τν$, $F_L^{D^*}$. The preferred solutions involve new left-handed currents or tensor contributions. Interpretations with pure right-handed currents are disfavored by the LHC data, while pure scalar models are disfavored by the upper limits derived either from the LHC or from the $B_c$ lifetime. The observable $F_L^{D^…
Motivated by the large rates of $B\rightarrow (χ_{c0}, χ_{c2}, h_c)K$ decays observed by the $BABAR$ and Belle collaborations, we investigate the nonfactorizable contributions to these factorization-forbidden decays, which can occur through a gluon exchange between the $c\bar c$ system and the spectator quark. Our numerical results demonstrate that the spectator contributions are capable of producing a large branching ratio consistent with the experiments. As a by-product, we also study the Cabibbo-suppressed decays, such as $B\rightarrow (χ_{c0}, χ_{c2}, h_c)π$ and the U-spin-related $B_s$ de…
We report on the recent results of searches for lepton-flavor-violating tau decays as well as lepton-number-violating B decays with the world-highest data samples accumulated at the Belle.
We perform a systematic study of the fermionic DM absorption interactions on electron target in the context of effective field theory. The fermionic DM absorption is not just sensitive to sub-MeV DM with efficient energy release, but also gives a unique signature with clear peak in the electron recoil spectrum whose shape is largely determined by the atomic effects. Fitting with the Xenon1T and PandaX-II data prefers DM mass at $m_χ= 59$keV and 105keV, respectively, while the cut-off scale is probed up to around 1TeV. The DM overproduction in the early Universe, the invisible decay effect on t…
Motivated by the recent measurements of non-leptonic $\bar{B}_s^0$ decays by CDF and LHCb collaborations, especially the large ${\cal B}(\bar{B}_s^0\toπ^+π^-)$, we revisit the hard spectator and annihilation corrections in $\bar{B}_s^0$ decays within QCD factorization approach with two schemes for the possible parameters for the known end-point divergence appeared in the estimation of the hard spectator and annihilation diagrams. The first one is to conservatively estimate the possible contributions by parameterization (scheme I); another one uses an infrared finite gluon propagator (scheme II…
This presentation at the conference "50 years of CP violation", 10 - 11 July 2014, held at Queen Mary University of London covers an introduction to time reversal and motion reversal, the phenomenology of K0-K0bar transitions, unitarity relations, the first observation of T violation in 1970, later results from Bell-Steinberger unitarity analyses, searches for T violation in K0 to pi ell nu decay amplitudes and in the transverse muon polarisation of K to pi mu nu decays, direct observation of T violation by motion reversal in K0-K0bar transitions, and "direct T violation" in K0 to pi pi, I=2 d…
