Many standard model extensions, including composite Goldstone Higgs models, predict vector-like fermionic top-partners at the TeV scale. The intensive search programmes by ATLAS and CMS focus on decays into a 3$^{\rm rd}$ generation quark and an electroweak boson ($W,Z,h$). However, underlying models of partial compositeness contain additional states that give rise to exotic top partner decays. We consider a well-motivated scenario in which a charge-$2/3$ top-partner decays into a pseudo-scalar, $T\rightarrow t\ a$, with $a\rightarrow gg \mbox{ or } b\bar{b}$ dominating below the $t\bar{t}$ threshold. We show that the constraints on the top partner mass from QCD pair production are substantially weakened, still allowing a top partner mass as light as $400$ GeV.
Many standard model extensions that address the hierarchy problem contain Dirac-fermion partners of the top quark, which are typically expected around the TeV scale. Searches for these vector-like quarks mostly focus on their decay into electroweak gauge bosons and Higgs plus a standard model quark. In this article, backed by models of composite Higgs, we propose a set of simplified scenarios, with effective Lagrangians and benchmarks, that include more exotic decay channels, which modify the search strategies and affect the bounds. Analysing several classes of underlying models, we show that …
Little Higgs models often give rise to top partners beyond the minimal ones necessary for the cancellation of quadratic divergences. We review how this occurs and discuss the phenomenology of these exotic states. We emphasize the possible importance of new pseudo-Nambu-Goldstone bosons in top partner decays. Indeed, cascade decays of exotic top partners may be the best way to discover these new bosons. We illustrate these points with a new Little Higgs construction based on an SO(10)/SO(5)^2 coset structure, which fills a gap in the model building literature. These observations motivate new se…
We revisit the formation of pion-mediated heavy-light exotic molecules with both charm and bottom and their chiral partners under the general strictures of both heavy-quark and chiral symmetry. The chiral exotic partners with good parity formed using the $(0^+, 1^+)$ multiplet are about twice more bound than their primary exotic partners formed using the $(0^-,1^-)$ multiplet. The chiral couplings across the multiplets $(0^\pm, 1^\pm)$ cause the chiral exotic partners to unbind, and the primary exotic molecules to be about twice more bound, for $J\leq 1$. Our multi-channel coupling results sho…
Exotic decays of top partners in new bosons are the norm in realistic models of a composite Higgs. We focus on the custodial charge-$5/3$ partner, which normally decays exclusively into $tW^+$. The new channels include a colour-sextet, $X_{5/3} \to \bar{b} π_6$, as well as singly and doubly charged scalars, $X_{5/3} \to t ϕ^+$, $b ϕ^{++}$. We use existing same-sign lepton searches to show that the new final states are constrained at the same level as the standard one. At the same time, exotic final states also offer opportunities for improvement: examples include a hard photon in $X_{5/3}\righ…
Given the existing empirical information about the exotic Theta+ baryon, we analyze possible properties of its SU(3)F-partners, paying special attention to the nonstrange member of the antidecuplet N*. The modified piN partial-wave analysis presents two candidate masses, 1680 MeV and 1730 MeV. In both cases, the N* should be rather narrow and highly inelastic. Our results suggest several directions for experimental studies that may clarify properties of the antidecuplet baryons, and structure of their mixing with other baryons. Recent experimental evidence from the GRAAL and STAR Collaboration…
We study single production and detection at the LHC run II of exotic partners of the bottom quark. For masses larger than 1 TeV single production can dominate over pair production that is suppressed due to phase space. The presence of exotic partners of the bottom is motivated in models aiming to solve the $A_{FB}^b$ anomaly measured at LEP and SLC. Minimal models of this type with partial compositeness predict, as the lightest bottom partner, a new fermion V of electric charge -4/3, also called mirror. The relevant coupling for our study is a WVb vertex, which yields a signal that corresponds…
The mass, decay constant and width of a hypothetical charmed partner $X_c$ of the newly observed exotic $X_b(5568)$ state are calculated using a technique of QCD sum rule method. The $X_c=[su][\overline{c}\overline{d}]$ state with $J^{P}=0^{+}$ is described employing two types of the diquark-antidiquark interpolating currents. The evaluation of the mass $m_{X_c}$ and decay constant $f_{X_c}$ is carried out utilizing the two-point sum rule method by including vacuum condensates up to eight dimensions. The widths of the decay channels $X_c \to D_s^{-} π^{+}$ and $X_c \to D^{0} K^{0}$ are also fo…
Given presently known empirical information about the exotic Theta+ baryon, we analyze possible properties of its SU(3)F partners, paying special attention to the nonstrange member of the antidecuplet N*. The modified PWA analysis presents two candidate masses, 1680 MeV and 1730 MeV. In both cases the N* should be highly inelastic. The theoretical analysis, based on the soliton picture and assumption of Gamma(Theta+) < 5 MeV, shows that most probably Gamma(N*) < 30 MeV. Similar analysis for Xi3/2 predicts its width to be not more than about 10 MeV. Our results suggest several directions for ex…
Solutions to the hierarchy problem usually require top partners. In standard SUSY or composite Higgs theories, the partners carry SM color and are becoming increasingly constrained by LHC searches. However, theories like Folded SUSY (FS), Twin Higgs (TH) and Quirky Little Higgs (QLH) introduce uncolored top partners, which can be SM singlets or carry electroweak charge. Their small production cross section left doubt as to whether the LHC can effectively probe such scenarios. Typically, these partners are charged under their own mirror color gauge group. In FS and QLH, the absence of light mir…
We propose two reactions, $\bar{B}^0 \to K^0 D^{+} K^-$ and $\bar{B}^0 \to K^{*0} D^{*+} K^-$, already measured at Belle, to look into the $J^P=0^+$, $X_0(2866)$ state and a $1^+$ partner of molecular $D^*\bar{K}^*$ nature, by looking at the $D^+ K^-$ and $D^{*+} K^-$ invariant mass distributions, respectively. Very clear peaks over the background are predicted and the branching ratios for the production of these states are evaluated to facilitate the task of determining the needed statistics for their observation. The fact that the $K^{*0} K^-$ mass distribution from accumulation of events of…
The possibility of the Y(4260) being the molecular state of $D\bar D_1(2420)+\mathrm{c.c.}$ is investigated in the one boson exchange model. It turns out that the potential of $J^{PC}=1^{--}$ state formed by $D\bar D_1(2420)+\mathrm{c.c.}$ is attractive and strong enough to bind them together when the momentum cutoff $Λ\gtrsim 1.4$ GeV. To produce the Y(4260) with correct binding energy, we need $Λ\approx 2.1$ GeV. Besides, $D\bar D_1(2420)+\mathrm{c.c.}$ can also form a state with exotic quantum numbers, $J^{PC}=1^{-+}$, and its potential similar with that of the $J^{PC}=1^{--}$ state. Theref…
In these proceedings we summarise the recent studies of exotic hadrons performed at the LHC and Tevatron. The X(3872) production cross section and mass measurements are reported, along with the determination of its quantum numbers, the searches for decays to $\mathrm{p\bar{p}}$, and for partner states in the bottomonium sector. Furthermore, we discuss the Y(4140) and Y(4274) structures, observed by several experiments in the $J/ψϕ$ invariant mass spectrum.
Motivated by the very recent discovery of the strange hidden-charm exotic state $Z_{cs}(3985)$ by the BESIII Collaboration, we study possible interpretation of this exotic state both at $ T= 0 $ and $ T\neq 0 $. We analytically compute the mass and meson-current coupling constant of this resonance with spin-parity $ J^{PC} = 1^{+-}$ at finite temperature approximation up to sixth order of the thermal operator dimension including non-perturbative contributions. Extracting thermal mass and meson-current coupling constant sum rules, the modifications on properties of $Z_{cs}(3985)$ state in hot m…
In this paper, we assume $X(5568)$ exist and study mass spectrum of $X(5568)$ resonance and its hypothetical charmed partner, $X_c$, by Artificial Neural Network method. The obtained predictions are compared with the experimental data and results of other theoretical works.
The charmed meson pair $(\frac{3}{2})^+$ and anti-$(\frac{1}{2})^-$, i.e. $D_1(2420)\bar D+c.c.$, $D_1(2420)\bar D^*+c.c.$, $D_2(2460)\bar D^*+c.c.$, can couple to states with vector quantum number $J^{PC}=1^{--}$ and exotic quantum number $J^{PC}=1^{-+}$ in a relative $S$ wave. Near threshold, the charmed meson pair may form hadronic molecules due to the strong $S$-wave coupling, and the mysterious vector state $Y(4260)$ could be such a state of the $D_1(2420)\bar D+c.c.$ molecule. This implies the possible existence of its exotic partner made of the same charmed mesons but with $J^{PC}=1^{-+…
A strangeness +1 exotic baryon Theta^+ has recently been seen in a number of experiments. We demonstrate that in large N_c QCD the existence of such a state implies the existence of S = +1 partner states with various spins and isospins but comparable masses. We discuss the spectroscopy of such states and possible channels in which they can be observed, based on the simple assumption that those states with pentaquark quantum numbers are unlikely to be large N_c artifacts.
Top partners from a new strong sector can be discovered soon, at the 8 TeV LHC, by analyzing their single production, which exhibits a large enhancement in the cross section compared to the analogous productions of bottom partners and exotic quarks. We analyze the subsequent decay of the top partners into a 125 GeV Higgs. This channel proves to be very promising for both the discovery of top partners and a test of the Higgs sector. For a reference value $λ_{\tilde{T}}=3$ of the Higgs coupling to the top partner, we could have a discovery (observation) at the 8 TeV LHC, with 30 fb$^{-1}$, for t…
If the exotic baryon $Θ(1540)$ is $udud\bar{s}$ with $J^P = {1/2}^+$, we predict that there is a \10bar with $J^P = {3/2}^+$ containing a $Θ^*(1540-1680)$. The width $Γ(Θ^* \to KN)$ is at least a factor of three larger than $Γ(Θ)$. The possibilities of $Θ^* \to KNπ$ or $Θγ$ via $M1$ and $E2$ multipoles are discussed.
Natural theories of the weak scale often include fermionic partners of the top quark. If the electroweak symmetry breaking sector contains scalars beyond a single Higgs doublet, then top partners can have sizable branching ratios to these extended Higgs sector states. In fact, top partner decays may provide the most promising discovery mode for such scalars, especially given the large backgrounds to direct and associated production. In this paper, we present a search strategy for top partner decays to a charged Higgs boson and a bottom quark, focusing on the case where the charged Higgs domina…
Using the results of the GRAAL collaboration on the ηphotoproduction from the neutron target, we attempt to extract the partial radiative width of the possible new nucleon resonance N^*(1675). The obtained estimates support this resonance to be a very attractive candidate for the non-strange member of the exotic antidecuplet of baryons -- a partner of the Θ^+ pentaquark. Our phenomenological value for the transition magnetic moment μ(n^* n), appears to be in good agreement with predictions of the Chiral Quark Soliton Model.
We propose a scenario in which Roper octet can mix with a putative antidecuplet of exotic baryons and predict the properties of its strange members. We show that 1795 MeV < M_Sigma_{\bar{10}} <1830 MeV and 1900 MeV < M_Xi_{\bar{10}}<1970 MeV. We also estimate total widths: 10 MeV < Gamma_Σ_{\bar{10}}< 30 MeV} and Gamma_Ξ_{\bar{10}}\sim 10 MeV and branching ratios for different decay modes.
The charmoniumlike state $Y(4260)$ is described as predominantly a $D_1 \bar{D}$ molecule in a coupled-channel quark model [Phys.\,Rev.\,D\,\textbf{96},\,114022\,(2017)]. The heavy quark spin symmetry (HQSS) thus implies the possible emergence of its heavy quark spin partners with molecular configuration as $D_1 \bar{D}^*$ and $D_2^* \bar{D}^*$ below these charmed mesons' thresholds. We analyze the probabilities of various intermediate charmed meson loops for $J^{PC}=1^{--}$ exotic state $Y(4360)$ and find that the channel $D_1 \bar{D}^*$ couples more strongly around its mass regime, and the c…

X(3872) presents many surprises after its discovery more than ten years ago. Understanding its properties is crucial to understand the spectrum of possible exotic mesons. In this work, X(3872) meson and its heavy quark spin symmetry (HQSS) partners (including the mesons in the bottom sector) are studied within the QCD Sum Rules approach using a current motivated by the molecular picture of X(3872). We predict four heavy partners to X(3872) and bottomonium with the masses and J^PC quantum numbers. Obtained results are in good agreement with the previous studies and available experimental data w…
In scenarios that stabilize the electroweak scale, the top quark is typically accompanied by partner particles. In this work, we demonstrate how extended stabilizing symmetries can yield scalar or fermionic top partners that transform as ordinary color triplets but carry exotic electric charges. We refer to these scenarios as "hypertwisted" since they involve modifications to hypercharge in the top sector. As proofs of principle, we construct two hypertwisted scenarios: a supersymmetric construction with spin-0 top partners, and a composite Higgs construction with spin-1/2 top partners. In bot…
We have performed a combined analysis of the BESIII data for both the $Z_c(3900)$ and $Z_{cs}(3985)$ structures, assuming that the latter is an SU(3) flavor partner of the former one. We have improved on the previous analysis of Albaladejo $et$ $al.$ [Phys. Lett. B 755, 337 (2016)] by computing the amplitude for the $D_1\bar{D}D^*$ triangle diagram considering both $D$ and $S$-wave $D_1D^*π$ couplings. We have also investigated effects from SU(3) light-flavor violations, which are found to be moderate and of the order of 20%. The successful reproduction of the BESIII spectra, in both the hidde…
A cluster of soft displaced tracks corresponds to the dark matter co-annihilation regime. The long-lived regime is, in particular, motivated by the unexplored top partner physics. The background in this regime is extremely challenging to model using a traditional simulation method. We demonstrate the feasibility of handling the formidable background using the CMS Open Data. We perform this analysis to search for compressed and long-lived top partners in the 8 TeV CMS Open Data events with the integrated luminosity of 11.6 fb$^{-1}$ and obtain new limits. With 15-30 GeV mass splitting between t…
Guided us by the scenario of weak scale naturalness and the possible existence of exotic resonances, we have explored in a $SO(5)$ Composite Higgs set-up the interplay among three matter sectors: elementary, top partners and vector resonances. We parametrise it through explicit interactions of spin-1 $SO(4)$-resonances, coupled to the $SO(5)$-invariant fermionic currents and tensors presented in this work. Such invariants are built upon the Standard Model fermion sector as well as top partners sourced by the unbroken $SO(4)$. The mass scales entailed by the top partner and vector resonance sec…
Extensions of the MSSM often predict the existence of new fermions and their scalar superpartners which are vectorlike with respect to the standard model gauge group but may be chiral under additional gauge factors. In this paper we explore the production and decay of an important example, i.e., a heavy isosinglet charge -1/3 quark and its scalar partner, using the charge assignments of a 27-plet of E6 for illustration. We emphasize that, depending on the symmetries of the low energy theory, such exotic particles may decay by the mixing of the fermion with the d, s, or b quarks; may decay by l…
Vector-like top partner plays a central role in many new physics models which attempt to address the hierarchy problem. The top partner is conventionally assumed to decay to a quark and a SM boson. However, it is also possible that the top partner decays to a non-SM scalar and a top quark. Such an exotic decay channel can be the main decay channel of top partner, and thus provides new windows to search for top partner at the LHC. In this paper, with classical machine learning method Boosted Decision Tree (BDT), we perform a model independent study of the discovery potential of this new signatu…
We extend a previous study of photoproduction of exotic baryon resonances to the reaction $γ+ d \to J/ψ+ n + p$, which permits simultaneous investigation of the reactions $γ+ p \to P_c^+ \to J/ψ~p$ \hbox{($n$ spectator)} and $γ+ n \to P_c^0 \to J/ψ~n$ \hbox{($p$ spectator).} Here $P_c^+$ is an exotic baryon with quark content $c \bar c uud$, and $P_c^0$ is its hypothetical isospin partner with quark content $c \bar c ddu$. We find: \hbox{(1) The} cross section for $J/ψ~n$ photoproduction should be equal to that for $J/ψ~p$ photoproduction if these processes are dominated by the photon coupling…
Fermionic third generation top partners are generic in composite Higgs models. They are likely to decay into third generation quarks and electroweak bosons. We propose a novel cut-and-count-style analysis in which we cross correlate the model-dependent single and model-independent pair production processes for the top partners $X_{5/3}$ and $B$. In the class of composite Higgs models we study, $X_{5/3}$ is very special as it is the lightest exotic fermion. A constraint on the mass of $X_{5/3}$ directly extends to constrains on all top partner masses. By combining jet substructure methods with …
We derive a phenomenological no-lose theorem for naturalness up to the TeV scale, which applies when quantum corrections to the Higgs mass from top quarks are canceled by perturbative BSM particles (top partners) of similar multiplicity due to to some symmetry. Null results from LHC searches already seem to disfavor such partners if they are colored. Any partners with SM charges and ~TeV masses will be exhaustively probed by the LHC and a future 100 TeV collider. Therefore, we focus on neutral top partners. While these arise in Twin Higgs theories, we analyze neutral top partners as model-inde…
Most searches for top partners, $T$, are concerned with top partner pair production. However, as these bounds become increasingly stringent, the LHC energy will saturate and single top partner production will become more important. In this paper we study the novel signature of the top partner produced in association with the SM top, $pp\rightarrow T\overline{t}+t\overline{T}$, in a model where the Standard Model (SM) is extended by a vector-like $SU(2)_L$ singlet fermion top partner and a real, SM gauge singlet scalar, $S$. In this model, $pp\rightarrow T\overline{t}+t\overline{T}$ production …
In this work we reappraise the collider constraints from leptonic final states on the vectorlike colored top partners taking into account the impact of exotic colored vector resonances. These colored states are intrinsic to a broad class of models that employ a strongly interacting sector to drive electroweak symmetry breaking. We translate the recent results in the {\sl monolepton + jets} channel as reported by CMS with an integrated luminosity of 35.8 fb$^{-1}$, and {\sl dilepton + jets} and {\sl trilepton + jets} channels as reported by ATLAS with an integrated luminosity of 36.1 fb$^{-1}$ …
Composite Higgs models provide a natural, non-supersymmetric solution to the hierarchy problem. In these models, one or more sets of heavy top-partners are typically introduced. Some of these new quarks can be relatively light, with a mass of a few hundred GeV, and could be observed with the early LHC collision data expected to be collected during 2010. We analyse in detail the collider signatures that these new quarks can produce. We show that final states with two (same-sign) or three leptons are the most promising discovery channels. They can yield a 5 sigma excess over the Standard Model e…
We have calculated the mass spectra for the $\bar{D}_s^{(*)}D^{(*)}$ molecular states and $sc\bar q\bar c$ tetraquark states with $J^P=0^+, 1^+, 2^+$. The masses of the axial-vector $\bar{D}_sD^{*}$, $\bar{D}_s^{*}D$ molecular states and $\mathbf{1}_{[sc]} \oplus \mathbf{0}_{[\bar q \bar{c}]}$, $\mathbf{0}_{[sc]} \oplus \mathbf{1}_{[\bar q \bar{c}]}$ tetraquark states are predicted to be around 3.98 GeV, which are in good agreement with the mass of $Z_{cs}(3985)^-$ from BESIII \cite{besiii2020Zcs}. In both the molecular and diquark-antidiquark pictures, our results suggest that there may exist…
We carry out a systematic study of exotic $QQ^\prime \bar q\bar q$ four-quark states containing distinguishable heavy flavors, $b$ and $c$. Different generic constituent models are explored in an attempt to extract general conclusions. The results are robust, predicting the same sets of quantum numbers as the best candidates to lodge bound states independently of the model used, the isoscalar $J^P=0^+$ and $J^P=1^+$ states. The first state would be strong and electromagnetic-interaction stable while the second would decay electromagnetically to $\bar B D γ$. Isovector states are found to be un…
In this work, we interpret the newly observed $η_1(1855)$ resonance with exotic $J^{PC}=1^{-+}$ quantum numbers in the $I=0$ sector, reported by the BESIII Collaboration, as a dynamically generated state from the interaction between the lightest pseudoscalar mesons and axial-vector mesons. The interaction is derived from the lowest order chiral Lagrangian from which the Weinberg-Tomozawa term is obtained, describing the transition amplitudes among the relevant channels, which are then unitarized using the Bethe-Salpeter equation, according to the chiral unitary approach. We evaluate the $η_1(1…
We consider a scenario in which the discrete weak symmetry between quarks and leptons is extended to the weak force by introducing exotic partners. We conjecture that there exists a hidden discrete symmetry $\tilde{P}$, defining a $Z_2$ group, between standard and exotic quarks and leptons. The unified model $SU(3)_{q} \times SU(3)_{\tilde{q}} \times SU(2)_{q \tilde{\ell}} \times SU(2)_{\tilde{q} \ell} \times U(1)_{Y} \times \tilde{P}$ is discussed, where the unifying discrete symmetry extends over particles and forces. It is shown that the lighter neutral and charged weak bosons generated upo…
Vector-like quarks (VLQs) that are partners of the heavy top and bottom quarks are predicted in many extensions of the Standard Model (SM). We explore the possibility that these states could explain not only the longstanding anomaly in the forward-backward asymmetry in $b$-quark production at LEP, $A_{\rm FB}^b $, but also the more recent $\sim 2σ$ deviation of the cross section for the associated Higgs production with top quark pairs at the LHC, $σ(pp\to t\bar t H)$. Introducing three illustrative models for VLQs with different representations under the SM gauge group, we show that the two an…
Recent data on inclusive B decays into charmonium states taken by the CLEO collaboration suggest that a sizeable fraction of the nonleptonic decays may consist of the $J/ψΛ\overline p$ three body final state, corresponding to a distinct enhancement in the inclusive $J/ψ$ momentum distribution. The kinematical boundary of this structure corresponds to the case where the $J/ψ$ recoils nearly monoenergetically in the B rest system against a partner having mass of $\simeq$ 2 GeV. This may allow the observation of a $Λ-\overline p $ bound state near or just below threshold; i.e., strange baryonium,…
We calculate the coupling constants of the decay modes $1^{-+}\rightarrowρπ, f_1π, b_1π, ηπ, η'π, a_1π, f_1η$ within the framework of the light-cone QCD sum rule. Then we calculate the partial width of these decay channels, which differ greatly from the existing calculations using phenomenological models. For the isovector $1^{-+}$ state, the dominant decay modes are $ρπ, f_1π$. For its isoscalar partner, its dominant decay mode is $a_1π$. We also discuss the possible search of the $1^{-+}$ state at BESIII, for example through the decay chains $J/ψ(ψ')\to π_1 +γ$ or $J/ψ(ψ')\to π_1 +ρ$ where $…
A natural, non-supersymmetric solution to the hierarchy problem generically requires fermionic partners of the top quark with masses not much heavier than 500 GeV. We study the pair production and detection at the LHC of the top partners with electric charge Q=5/3 (T_{5/3}) and Q=-1/3 (B), that are predicted in models where the Higgs is a pseudo-Goldstone boson. The exotic T_{5/3} fermion, in particular, is the distinct prediction of a LR custodial parity invariance of the electroweak symmetry breaking sector. Both kinds of new fermions decay to Wt, leading to a t\bar{t}WW final state. We focu…
We study the weak decay of the $Λ_b$ baryon into $J/ψ ϕ Λ$, a process that is particularly well suited to analyze the physics of some of the recently observed or theoretically predicted exotic hadrons, as one expects to see their signature in all three final two-body channels. In the $J/ψ\, ϕ$ invariant mass spectrum we study the interplay between the $X(4140)$ and the $X(4160)$ resonances. The $J/ψ\, Λ$ mass spectrum may help to identify the strange partner of the hidden-charm pentaquark recently observed by the LHCb collaboration, the existence of which has been predicted by a chiral unitary…
The developments in the experimental facilities and analyses techniques have recently lead to the observation of many hadronic states ranging from excitations of conventional hadrons to various exotic states. The baryons with single heavy quark are among these states providing an attractive field of research to get a better understanding of the nonperturbative nature of the strong interaction. Recently, the Belle Collaboration announced observation of the state $Λ_c(2910)^+$ with a mass $2913.8\pm5.6\pm3.8~\mathrm{MeV}/c^2$ and width $51.8\pm20.0\pm18.8~\mathrm{MeV}$. In the present study, by …
The $X_0(2900)$ observed by the LHCb Collaboration recently in the $D^-K^+$ invariant mass of the $B^+\to D^+D^-K^+$ process is the first exotic candidate with four different flavors, which opens a new era for the hadron community. Under the assumption that the $X_0(2900)$ is a $I(J^P)=0(0^+)$ $\bar{D}^*K^*$ hadronic molecule, we extract the whole heavy-quark symmetry multiplet formed by the $\left(\bar{D},\bar{D}^*\right)$ doublet and the $K^*$ meson. For the bound state case, there would be two additional $I(J^P)=0(1^+)$ hadronic molecules associated with the $\bar{D}K^*$ and $\bar{D}^*K^*$ …
We study how the exotic particles and supersymmetric partners would affect the discovery limit at the Tevatron and LHC for neutral gauge bosons in generic E_6 models. We examine the Z' decay in the extreme case that all of the particles are massless, then consider how the masses of non-standard model particles will affect the discovery limit. We also calculate the discovery limit for a supersymmetric E_6 model with a secluded sector as a concrete example of a model with a definite set of exotic particles. Its discovery limit is small compared with other E_6 models due to the U'(1) charge assig…
Heavy-quark symmetry as applied to heavy hadron systems implies that their interactions are independent of their heavy-quark spin (heavy-quark spin symmetry) and heavy flavour contents (heavy flavour symmetry). In the molecular hypothesis the $X(3872)$ resonance is a $1^{++}$ $D^*\bar{D}$ bound state. If this is the case, the application of heavy-quark symmetry to a molecular $X(3872)$ suggests the existence of a series of partner states, the most obvious of which is a possible $2^{++}$ $D^*\bar{D}^*$ bound state for which the two-body potential is identical to that of the $1^{++}$ $D^*\bar{D}…
We investigate $DD^*$ and $D\bar{D}^*$ momentum correlations in high-energy collisions to elucidate the nature of $T_{cc}$ and $X(3872)$ exotic hadrons. Single range Gaussian potentials with the channel couplings to the isospin partners are constructed based on the empirical data. The momentum correlation functions of the $D^0D^{*+}$, $D^+D^{*0}$, $D^0\bar{D}^{*0}$, and $D^+D^{*-}$ pairs are computed with including the coupled-channel effects. We discuss how the nature of the exotic states are reflected in the behaviors of the correlation results.
We have analysed the observable consequences of the interactions of spin-1 resonances coupled to the invariant fermionic currents that arise in an $SO(5)$ Composite Higgs set-up. The phenomenology entailed by such interactions is thoroughly analysed by studying heavy vector resonances production and decay modes in the viable resonance mass range. Additionally, the production of double and single-composite fermion final states has been scanned along the fermion mass scale. Such production is mediated by the SM gauge and Higgs interactions, and also by charged and neutral vector resonances. The …
We study the hadronic molecular structure of hidden heavy pentaquarks - new exotic states composed of charmed/bottom baryons and $D(D^*)/B(B^*)$ mesons. Based on the observation of three pentaquark candidates $P_c^+(4312)$, $P_c^+(4440)$, and $P_c^+(4457)$ by the LHCb Collaboration we consider the classification of possible flavor partners composed of charmed baryons and $D(D^*)$ mesons within the hadronic molecular approach. We extend this classification to the bottom sector. Using phenomenological Lagrangians we construct baryon-meson bound states governed by the Weinberg-Salam compositeness…
We systematically re-examine the extraction of the masses and couplings of the 1^{-+} hybrid, four-quark and molecule mesons from QCD spectral sum rules (QSSR). To NLO for the perturbative and power corrections, the hybrid mass is M_H=1.81(6) GeV and M_H < 2.2(2) GeV from the positivity of the spectral function. In the same way, but to LO, the four-quark state mass is M_{4q}= 1.70(4) GeV and M_{4q} < 2.4(1) GeV, while the molecule mass is about 1.3(1) GeV. The observed π_1(1400) and π_1(1600) might be explained by a two-component mixing with the set of input masses (1.2-1.3 ; 1.70-1.74) GeV an…

本文探讨了在13 TeV LHC中通过两个或三个轻子及一个或两个肥jets的最终状态探测质量超过1 TeV的奇异轻子,提出并研究了有效的搜索策略。
The bottom-charmed ($B_c$) mesons are more stable than their charmonium ($c\bar c$) and bottomium ($b\bar b$) partners because they cannot annihilate into gluons. However, the low production cross-sections and signal-to-background ratios avoided until now their clear identification. The recent experimental results reported by CMS and LHCb at CERN open the possibility of having a $B_c$ spectrum as complete as the ones of charmonium and bottomonium. Motivated by this expectation, we compute bottom-charmed meson masses in the region energies in which decay meson-meson thresholds are opened, looki…
