In this note we prove the Heintze-Karcher inequality in the context of essentially non-branching metric measure spaces satisfying a lower Ricci curvature bound in the sense of Lott-Sturm-Villani. The proof is based on the the needle decomposition technique for metric measure spaces introduced by Cavalletti-Mondino. Moreover, in the class of spaces satisfying a Riemannian curvature-dimension condition with positive curvature the equality case is characterized.
In this paper, we prove a generalization of Reilly's formula in \cite{Reilly}. We apply such general Reilly's formula to give alternative proofs of the Alexandrov's Theorem and the Heintze-Karcher inequality in the hemisphere and in the hyperbolic space. Moreover, we use the general Reilly's formula to prove a new Heintze-Karcher inequality for Riemannian manifolds with boundary and sectional curvature bounded below.

Using spinorial techniques, we prove, for a class of pseudo-hyperbolic ambient manifolds, a Heintze-Karcher type inequality. We then use this inequality to show an Alexandrov type theorem in such spaces.
In this note, we estimate the upper bound of volume of closed positively or nonnegatively curved Alexandrov space $X$ with strictly convex boundary. We also discuss the equality case. In particular, the Boundary Conjecture holds when the volume upper bound is achieved. Our theorem also can be applied to Riemannian manifolds with non-smooth boundary, which generalizes Heintze and Karcher's classical volume comparison theorem. Our main tool is the gradient flow of semi-concave functions.
We generalize an inequality of E. Heintze and H. Karcher [8] for the volume of tubes around minimal submanifolds to an inequality based on integral bounds for $k$-Ricci curvature. Even in the case of a pointwise bound, this generalizes the classical inequality by replacing a sectional curvature bound with a $k$-Ricci bound. This work is motivated by the estimates of Petersen-Shteingold-Wei for the volume of tubes around a geodesic [12] and generalizes their result. Using similar ideas we also prove a Hessian comparison theorem for $k$-Ricci curvature which generalizes the usual Hessian and Lap…
In this article, we will use the harmonic mean curvature flow to prove a new class of Alexandrov-Fenchel type inequalities for strictly convex hypersurfaces in hyperbolic space in terms of total curvature, which is the integral of Gaussian curvature on the hypersurface. We will also use the harmonic mean curvature flow to prove a new class of geometric inequalities for horospherically convex hypersurfaces in hyperbolic space. Using these new Alexandrov-Fenchel type inequalities and the inverse mean curvature flow, we obtain an Alexandrov-Fenchel inequality for strictly convex hypersurfaces in …
We study the isoperimetric, functional and concentration properties of $n$-dimensional weighted Riemannian manifolds satisfying the Curvature-Dimension condition, when the generalized dimension $N$ is negative, and more generally, is in the range $N \in (-\infty,1)$, extending the scope from the traditional range $N \in [n,\infty]$. In particular, we identify the correct one-dimensional model-spaces under an additional diameter upper bound, and discover a new case yielding a \emph{single} model space (besides the previously known $N$-sphere and Gaussian measure when $N \in [n,\infty]$): a (pos…
In the first part of this paper, we develop the theory of anisotropic curvature measures for convex bodies in the Euclidean space. It is proved that any convex body whose boundary anisotropic curvature measure equals a linear combination of other lower order anisotropic curvature measures with nonnegative coefficients is a scaled Wulff shape. This generalizes the classical results by Schneider [Comment. Math. Helv. \textbf{54} (1979), 42--60] and by Kohlmann [Arch. Math. (Basel) \textbf{70} (1998), 250--256] to the anisotropic setting. The main ingredients in the proof are the generalized anis…
