We consider a nearest-neighbor solid-on-solid (SOS) model, with several spin values $0,1,2,...,m, m\geq2$ and non zero external field, on a Cayley tree of order $k$. In the case $k=2, m=2$, we describe translation-invariant ground states for the SOS model with a translation-invariant external field. Some periodic ground states for the SOS model with periodic external field are described.
In this paper for the Potts-SOS model on a Cayley tree under some conditions the existence of at least one periodic (non translation-invariant) Gibbs measure is proved.
In the present paper we continue the investigation from [1] and consider the SOS (solid-on-solid) model on the Cayley tree of order $k \geq 2$. In the ferromagnetic SOS case on the Cayley tree, we find three solutions to a class of period-4 height-periodic boundary law equations and these boundary laws define up to three periodic gradient Gibbs measures.
In this paper we give a description of periodic Gibbs measures for Potts-SOS model on the Cayley tree of order $k\geq 1$ , i.e. a characterization of such measures with respect to any normal subgroup of finite index of the group representation of a Cayley tree.
For SOS (solid-on-solid) model with external field and with spin values from the set of all integers, on a Cayley tree we give gradient Gibbs measures (GGMs). Such a measure corresponds to a boundary law (a function defined on vertices of Cayley tree) satisfying an infinite system of functional equations. We give several concrete GGMs which correspond to periodic boundary laws.
For the solid-on-solid (SOS) model with spin values from the set of all integers on a Cayley tree we give gradient Gibbs measures (GGMs). Such a measure corresponds to a boundary law (which is an infinite-dimensional vector-valued function defined on vertices of the Cayley tree) satisfying an infinite system of functional equations. We give several concrete GGMs of boundary laws which are independent from vertices of the Cayley tree and (as an infinite-dimensional vector) have periodic, (non-)mirror symmetric coordinates.
In this paper, we consider the Potts-SOS model where the spin takes values in the set $\{0, 1, 2\}$ on the Cayley tree of order two. We describe all the translation-invariant splitting Gibbs measures for this model in some conditions. Moreover, we investigate whether these Gibbs measures are extremal or non-extremal in the set of all Gibbs measures.
We consider a nearest-neighbor solid-on-solid (SOS) model, with several spin values $0,1,\ldots,m,$ $m\geq2,$ and nonzero external field, on a Cayley tree of degree $k$ (with $k+1$ neighbors). We are aiming to extend the results of \cite{rs} where the SOS model is studied with (mainly) three spin values and zero external field. The SOS model can be treated as a natural generalization of the Ising model (obtained for $m=1$). We mainly assume that $m=2$ (three spin values) and study translation-invariant (TI) and splitting (S) Gibbs measures (GMs). (Splitting GMs have a particular Markov-type pr…
We consider the ferromagnetic n.n Ising model on Cayley trees in absence of external fields submitted to a modified majority rule transformation with overlapping cells already known to lead to non-Gibbsian measures. We describe the renormalized measures within the Generalized Gibbs framework and prove that they are Almost Gibbs at any temperature.
The paper concerns the $q$-state Potts model (i.e., with spin values in $\{1,\dots,q\}$) on a Cayley tree $\mathbb{T}^k$ of degree $k\geq 2$ (i.e., with $k+1$ edges emanating from each vertex) in an external (possibly random) field. We construct the so-called splitting Gibbs measures (SGM) using generalized boundary conditions on a sequence of expanding balls, subject to a suitable compatibility criterion. Hence, the problem of existence/uniqueness of SGM is reduced to solvability of the corresponding functional equation on the tree. In particular, we introduce the notion of translation-invari…
We examine the behavior of the 2-spin spherical Sherrington-Kirkpatrick model with an external field by analyzing the overlap of a spin with the external field. Previous research has noted that, at low temperature, this overlap exhibits dramatically different behavior in the presence of an external field as compared to the model with no external field. The transition between those two settings was examined in a recent physics paper by Baik, Collins-Woodfin, Le Doussal, and Wu as well as a recent math paper by Landon and Sosoe. Both papers focus on the setting in which the external field streng…
We analyze the free energy and the overlaps in the 2-spin spherical Sherrington Kirkpatrick spin glass model with an external field for the purpose of understanding the transition between this model and the one without an external field. We compute the limiting values and fluctuations of the free energy as well as three types of overlaps in the setting where the strength of the external field goes to zero as the dimension of the spin variable grows. In particular, we consider overlaps with the external field, the ground state, and a replica. Our methods involve a contour integral representatio…
