Noncommutative near-group fusion categories were completely classified in the previous work of the first named author by using an operator algebraic method (and hence under the assumption of unitarity), and they were shown to be group theoretical though the corresponding pointed categories were not identified. In this note we give a purely algebraic construction of the noncommutative near-group fusion categories starting from pointed categories categorically Morita equivalent to them.
The main purpose of this paper is to describe various phenomena and certain constructions arising in the process of studying derived noncommutative schemes. Derived noncommutative schemes are defined as differential graded categories of a special type. We review and discuss different properties of both noncommutative schemes and morphisms between them. In addition, the concept of geometric realization for derived noncommutative scheme is introduced and problems of existence and construction of such realizations are discussed. We also study the construction of gluing noncommutative schemes via …
We develop a point-free approach for constructing the Nakano-Vashaw-Yakimov-Balmer spectrum of a noncommutative tensor triangulated category under some mild assumptions. In particular, we provide a conceptual way of classifying radical thick tensor ideals of a noncommutative tensor triangulated category using frame theoretic methods, recovering the universal support data in the process. We further show that there is a homeomorphism between the spectral space of radical thick tensor ideals of a noncommutative tensor triangulated category and the collection of open subsets of its spectrum in the…
In this paper we discuss different properties of noncommutative schemes over a field. We define a noncommutative scheme as a differential graded category of a special type. We study regularity, smoothness and properness for noncommutative schemes. Admissible subcategories of categories of perfect complexes on smooth projective schemes provide natural examples of smooth and proper noncommutative schemes that are called geometric noncommutative schemes. In this paper we show that the world of all geometric noncommutative schemes is closed under an operation of a gluing of differential graded cat…
This is the third paper in a series. In part I we developed a deformation theory of objects in homotopy and derived categories of DG categories. Here we show how this theory can be used to study deformations of objects in homotopy and derived categories of abelian categories. Then we consider examples from (noncommutative) algebraic geometry. In particular, we study noncommutative Grassmanians that are true noncommutative moduli spaces of structure sheaves of projective subspaces in projective spaces.
The category-valued trace assigns to a bimodule category over a linear monoidal category a linear category. It generalizes Drinfeld centers of monoidal categories and the relative Deligne product of bimodule categories. In this article, we study bimodule categories that are given as categories of bicomodules over a Hopf algebra. Our main result is a representation-theoretic realization of the category-valued trace as a category of generalized Hopf bimodules.
We develop a general theory which enables the computation of the Picard group of a symmetric monoidal triangulated category, equipped with a weight structure, in terms of the Picard group of the associated heart. As an application, we compute the Picard group of several categories of motivic nature - mixed Artin motives, mixed Artin-Tate motives, motivic spectra, noncommutative mixed Artin motives, noncommutative mixed motives of central simple algebras, noncommutative mixed motives of separable algebras - as well as the Picard group of the derived categories of symmetric ring spectra.
We study liftings of abelian model structures to categories of chain complexes and construct a realization functor from the derived category of a Grothendieck abelian category equipped with a cofibrantly generated, hereditary abelian model structure to the homotopy category of that model structure.
We show that a subcategory of the $m$-cluster category of type $\tilde{D_n}$ is isomorphic to a category consisting of arcs in an $(n-2)m$-gon with two central $(m-1)$-gons inside of it. We show that the mutation of colored quivers and $m$-cluster-tilting objects is compatible with the flip of an $(m+2)$-angulation. In the final part of this paper, we detail an example of a quiver of type $\tilde{D_7}$.
We here present rudiments of an approach to geometric actions in noncommutative algebraic geometry, based on geometrically admissible actions of monoidal categories. This generalizes the usual (co)module algebras over Hopf algebras which provide affine examples. We introduce a compatibility of monoidal actions and localizations which is a distributive law. There are satisfactory notions of equivariant objects, noncommutative fiber bundles and quotients in this setup.
We categorify various finite-type cluster algebras with coefficients using completed orbit categories associated to Frobenius categories. Namely, the Frobenius categories we consider are the categories of finitely generated Gorenstein projective modules over the singular Nakajima category associated to a Dynkin diagram and their standard Frobenius quotients. In particular, we are able to categorify all finite-type skew-symmetric cluster algebras with universal coefficients and finite-type Grassmannian cluster algebras. Along the way, we classify the standard Frobenius models of a certain famil…
This dissertation comprises three collections of results, all united by a common theme. The theme is the study of categories via algebraic techniques, considering categories themselves as algebraic objects. This algebraic approach to category theory is central to noncommutative algebraic geometry, as realized by recent advances in the study of noncommutative motives. We have success proving algebraic results in the general setting of symmetric monoidal and semiring $\infty$-categories, which categorify abelian groups and rings, respectively. For example, we prove that modules over the semiring…
We describe a general framework for prime, completely prime, semiprime, and primitive ideals of an abelian 2-category. This provides a noncommutative version of Balmer's prime spectrum of a tensor triangulated category. These notions are based on containment conditions in terms of thick subcategories of an abelian category and thick ideals of an abelian 2-category. We prove categorical analogs of the main properties of noncommutative prime spectra. Similar notions, starting with Serre subcategories of an abelian category and Serre ideals of an abelian 2-category, are developed. They are linked…
In this paper, we present an infinity-categorical version of the theory of monoidal categories. We show that the infinity category of spectra admits an essentially unique monoidal structure (such that the tensor product preserves colimits in each variable), and thereby recover the classical smash-product operation on spectra. We develop a general theory of algebras in a monoidal infinity category, which we use to (re)prove some basic results in the theory of associative ring spectra. We also develop an infinity-categorical theory of monads, and prove a version of the Barr-Beck theorem.
In this article, we study the geometric realizations of $m$-cluster categories of Dynkin types A, D, $\tilde{A}$ and $\tilde{D}$. We show, in those four cases, that there is a bijection between $(m+2)$-angulations and isoclasses of basic $m$-cluster tilting objects. Under these bijections, flips of $(m+2)$-angulations correspond to mutations of $m$-cluster tilting objects. Our strategy consists in showing that certain Iyama-Yoshino reductions of the $m$-cluster categories under consideration can be described in terms of cutting along an arc the corresponding geometric realizations. This allows…
