Consider a nonlinear Kirchhoff type equation as follows \begin{equation*} \left\{ \begin{array}{ll} -\left( a\int_{\mathbb{R}^{N}}|\nabla u|^{2}dx+b\right) Δu+u=f(x)\left\vert u\right\vert ^{p-2}u & \text{ in }\mathbb{R}^{N}, \\ u\in H^{1}(\mathbb{R}^{N}), & \end{array}% \right. \end{equation*}% where $N\geq 1,a,b>0,2<p<\min \left\{ 4,2^{\ast }\right\}$($2^{\ast }=\infty $ for $N=1,2$ and $2^{\ast }=2N/(N-2)$ for $N\geq 3)$ and the function $f\in C(\mathbb{R}^{N})\cap L^{\infty }(\mathbb{R}^{N})$. Distinguishing from the existing results in the literature, we are more interested in the geometric properties of the energy functional related to the above problem. Furthermore, the nonexistence, existence, unique and multiplicity of positive solutions are proved dependent on the parameter $a$ and the dimension $N.$ In particular, we conclude that a unique positive solution exists for $1\leq N\leq4$ while at least two positive solutions are permitted for $N\geq5$.
We consider a class of fourth-order elliptic equations of Kirchhoff type with critical growth in $\mathbb{R}^N$. By using constrained minimization in the Nehari manifold, we establish sufficient conditions for the existence of nodal (that is, sign-changing) solutions.
In this paper, we establish a type of uniqueness and nondegeneracy results for positive solutions to the following nonlocal Kirchhoff equations \begin{eqnarray*} -\left(a+b\int_{\mathbb{R}^{3}}|\nabla u|^{2}\text{d} x\right)Δu+u=|u|^{p-1}u & & \text{in }\mathbb{R}^{3}, \end{eqnarray*} where $a,b$ are positive constants and $1<p<5$. Before this paper, it seems that there have no this type of results even on positive ground states solutions to Kirchhoff type equations, much less on general positive solutions. To overcome the difficulty brought by the nonlocality, some new observation on Kirchhof…
In this paper we establish the existence of mountain pass and negative energy weak solutions for a Kirchhoff-Schrödinger type problem in $\mathbb R^4$ involving a critical nonlinearity and a suitable small perturbation. The arisen competition between the terms due to the nonlocal coefficient and critical nonlinearity turns out to be rather interesting. The main tools used in the present work are variational methods and the Lions' Concentration Compactness Principle.

In this paper we prove the existence of small-amplitude quasi-periodic solutions with Sobolev regularity, for the $d$-dimensional forced Kirchhoff equation with periodic boundary conditions. This is the first result of this type for a quasi-linear equations in high dimension. The proof is based on a Nash-Moser scheme in Sobolev class and a regularization procedure combined with a multiscale analysis in order to solve the linearized problem at any approximate solution.
We are concerned with the following Kirchhoff type equation $$-\varepsilon^2 M \left(\varepsilon^{2-N} \int_{\mathbb{R}^N} | \nabla u|^2\, \mathrm{d} x\right) Δu+V(x)u = f(u),\ x \in \mathbb{R}^N,\ \ N\ge2, $$ where $M \in C(\mathbb{R}^+,\mathbb{R}^+)$, $V\in C(\mathbb{R}^N,\mathbb{R}^+)$ and $f(s)$ is of critical growth. In this paper, we construct a localized bound state solution concentrating at a local minimum of $V$ as $\varepsilon\to 0$ under certain conditions on $f(s)$, $M$ and $V$. In particular, the monotonicity of $f(s)/s$ and the Ambrosetti-Rabinowitz condition are not required.

Under general Berestycki-Lions type assumptions on the nonlinearity $f$, we establish the existence results of a ground state and multiple radial solutions for $N\geq2$, and obtain a nontrivial solution and its uniqueness, up to a translation and up to a sign, for $N=1$. The proofs are mainly based on a rescaling argument, which is specific for the autonomous case, and …

In this paper we study the following class of nonlocal {problems} involving Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg type critical growth \begin{align*} L(u)&-λh(x)|x|^{-2(1+a)}u=μf(x)|u|^{q-2}u+|x|^{-pb}|u|^{p-2}u\;\; \text{in } \mathbb R^N, \end{align*} where $h(x)\geq 0$, $f(x)$ is a continuous function which may change sign, $λ, μ$ are positive real parameters and $1<q<2$, $4< p=2N/[N+2(b-a)-2]$, $0\leq a<b<a+1<N/2$, $N\geq 3$. Here $$ L(u)=-M\left(\int_{\mathbb R^N} |x|^{-2a}|\nabla u|^2dx\right)\mathrm {div}(|x|^{-2a}\nabla u) $$ and the function $M:\mathbb R^+\cup \{0\} \to\mathbb R^+$ is exactly as i…
This paper deals with Strauss and Lions-type theorems for fractional Sobolev spaces with variable exponent $W^{s,p(.),\tilde{p}(.,.)}(Ω)$, when $p$ and $\tilde{p}$ satisfies some conditions. As application, we study the existence of solutions for a class of Kirchhoff-Choquard problem in $\mathbb{R}^N$.
Inhomogeneous Kirchhoff type equations with indefinite data are considered. Some necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of positive solutions of the problem under consideration are presented.
In this article, we establish the existence of solutions to the fractional $p-$Kirchhoff type equations with a generalized Choquard nonlinearities without assuming the Ambrosetti-Rabinowitz condition.
In this paper we consider a generalized fourth order nonlinear Kirchhoff equation in a bounded domain in $\mathbb R^{N}, N\geq2$ under Navier boundary conditions and with sublinear nonlinearity. We employ a change of variable which reduces the problem to a semilinear one. Then variational and topological tools are used in order to prove the existence of a solution.
In the present note we prove a multiplicity result for a Kirchhoff type problem involving a critical term, giving a partial positive answer to a problem raised by Ricceri.
The higher order Kirchhoff type equation $$\int_{\mathbb{R}^{2m}}(|\nabla^m u|^2 +\sum_{γ=0}^{m-1}a_γ(x)|\nabla^γu|^2)dx \left((-Δ)^m u+\sum_{γ=0}^{m-1}(-1)^γ\nabla^γ\cdot(a_γ(x)\nabla^γu)\right) =\frac{f(x,u)}{|x|^β}+εh(x)\ \ \text{in}\ \ \mathbb{R}^{2m}$$ is considered in this paper. We assume that the nonlinearity of the equation has exponential critical growth and prove that, for a positive $ε$ which is small enough, there are two distinct nontrivial solutions to the equation. When $ε=0$, we also prove that the equation has a nontrivial mountain-pass type solution.
We obtain the existence of ground state solution for the nonlocal problem $$ m\left(\int_{\mathbb{R}^2}(|\nabla u|^2 + b(x)u^2) \textrm{d}x\right)(-Δu + b(x)u) = A(x)f(u) \ \ \ \textrm{in} \ \ \ \mathbb{R}^2, $$ where $m$ is a Kirchhoff-type function, $b$ may be negative and noncoercive, $A$ is locally bounded and the function $f$ has critical exponential growth. We also obtain new results for the classical Schrödinger equation, namely the local case $m\equiv 1$. In the proofs we apply Variational Methods beside a new Trudinger-Moser type inequality.
We establish the existence of a positive ground state solution for a Kirchhoff problem in $\mathbb{R}^2$ involving critical exponential growth, that is, the nonlinearity behaves like $\exp(α_{0}s^{2})$ as $|s| \to \infty$, for some $α_{0}>0$. In order to obtain our existence result we used minimax techniques combined with the Trudinger-Moser inequality.
We investigate the existence and multiplicity of weak solutions for a nonlinear Kirchhoff type quasilinear elliptic system on the whole space $\mathbb{R}^N$. We assume that the nonlinear term satisfies the locally super-$(m_1,m_2)$ condition, that is, $\lim_{|(u,v)|\rightarrow+\infty}\frac{F(x,u,v)}{|u|^{m_1}+|v|^{m_2}}=+\infty \mbox{ for a.e. } x \in G$ where $G$ is a domain in $\mathbb{R}^N$, which is weaker than the well-known Ambrosseti-Rabinowitz condition and the naturally global restriction, $\lim_{|(u,v)|\rightarrow+\infty}\frac{F(x,u,v)}{|u|^{m_1}+|v|^{m_2}}=+\infty \mbox{ for a.e. } …
In this paper we study the existence, multiplicity and regularity of positive weak solutions for the following Kirchhoff-Choquard problem: \begin{equation*} \begin{array}{cc} \displaystyle M\left( \iint\limits_{\mathbb{R}^{2N}} \frac{|u(x)-u(y)|^2}{|x-y|^{N+2s}}\,dxdy\right) (-Δ)^s u = \fracλ{u^γ} + \left( \int\limits_Ω \frac{|u(y)|^{2^{*}_{μ,s}}}{|x-y|^ μ}\, dy\right) |u|^{2^{*}_{μ,s}-2}u \;\text{in} \; Ω, %\quad \quad u > 0\quad \text{in} \; Ω, \quad \quad u = 0\quad \text{in} \; \mathbb{R}^{N}\backslashΩ, \end{array} \end{equation*} where $Ω$ is open bounded domain of $\mathbb{R}^{N}$ with …
