Dirac and Weyl semimetals both exhibit arc-like surface states. However, whereas the surface Fermi arcs in Weyl semimetals are topological consequences of the Weyl points themselves, the surface Fermi arcs in Dirac semimetals are not directly related to the bulk Dirac points, raising the question of whether there exists a topological bulk-boundary correspondence for Dirac semimetals. In this work, we discover that strong and fragile topological Dirac semimetals exhibit 1D higher-order hinge Fermi arcs (HOFAs) as universal, direct consequences of their bulk 3D Dirac points. To predict HOFAs coexisting with topological surface states in solid-state Dirac semimetals, we introduce and layer a spinful model of an $s-d$-hybridized quadrupole insulator (QI). We develop a rigorous nested Jackiw-Rebbi formulation of QIs and HOFA states. Employing $ab\ initio$ calculations, we demonstrate HOFAs in both the room- ($α$) and intermediate-temperature ($α''$) phases of Cd$_{3}$As$_2$, KMgBi, and rutile-structure ($β'$-) PtO$_2$.
The Weyl semimetal is a new quantum state of topological semimetal, of which topological surface states -- the Fermi arcs exist. In this paper, the Fermi arcs in Weyl semimetals are classified into two classes -- class-1 and class-2. Based on a tight-binding model, the evolution and transport properties of class-1/2 Fermi arcs are studied via the tilting strength of the bulk Weyl cones. The (residual) anomalous Hall conductivity of topological surface states is a physical consequence of class-1 Fermi arc and thus class-1 Fermi arc becomes a nontrivial topological property for hybrid or type-II…
Anomalous surface states with Fermi arcs are commonly considered to be a fingerprint of Dirac semimetals (DSMs). In contrast to Weyl semimetals, however, Fermi arcs of DSMs are not topologically protected. Using first-principles calculations, we predict that $β$-CuI is a peculiar DSM whose surface states form closed Fermi pockets instead of Fermi arcs. In such a fermiological Dirac semimetal, the deformation mechanism from Fermi arcs to Fermi pockets stems from a large cubic term preserving all crystal symmetries, and the small energy difference between the surface and bulk Dirac points. The c…
We present a semiclassical explanation for the morphology of the surface Fermi arcs of Weyl semimetals. Viewing the surface states as a two-dimensional Fermi gas subject to band bending and Berry curvatures, we show that it is the non-parallelism between the velocity and the momentum that gives rise to the spiral structure of Fermi arcs. We map out the Fermi arcs from the velocity field for a single Weyl point and a lattice with two Weyl points. We also investigate the surface magnetoplasma of Dirac semimetals in a magnetic field, and find that the drift motion, the chiral magnetic effect and …
Weyl semimetals harbor unusual surface states known as Fermi arcs, which are essentially disjoint segments of a two dimensional Fermi surface. We describe a prescription for obtaining Fermi arcs of arbitrary shape and connectivity by stacking alternate two dimensional electron and hole Fermi surfaces and adding suitable interlayer coupling. Using this prescription, we compute the local density of states -- a quantity directly relevant to scanning tunneling microscopy -- on a Weyl semimetal surface in the presence of a point scatterer and present results for a particular model that is expected …
We study the band topology of the superconducting nodal-line semimetal (SC-NLSM) protected by the inversion symmetry with and without the spin-orbital coupling. Without the spin-orbital coupling, both the $s$-wave SC-NLSM and the chiral $p$-wave SC-NLSM are topologically nontrivial and can be described by the nonzero winding number. Based on the Wilson loop method, we verify that they are both the fragile topological superconductors, namely, their nontrivial band topologies can be moved off by coupling to additional topologically trivial bands. The fragile topological phase persists in spinful…
Weyl semimetals exhibit exotic Fermi-arc surface states, which strongly affect their electromagnetic properties. We derive analytical expressions for all components of the composite density-spin response tensor for the surfaces states of a Weyl-semimetal model obtained by closing the band gap in a topological insulating state and introducing a time-reversal-symmetry-breaking term. Based on the results, we discuss the electromagnetic susceptibilities, the current response, and other physical effects arising from the density-spin response. We find a magnetoelectric effect caused solely by the Fe…
Topological Dirac and Weyl semimetals not only host quasiparticles analogous to the elementary fermionic particles in high-energy physics, but also have nontrivial band topology manifested by exotic Fermi arcs on the surface. Recent advances suggest new types of topological semimetals, in which spatial symmetries protect gapless electronic excitations without high-energy analogy. Here we observe triply-degenerate nodal points (TPs) near the Fermi level of WC, in which the low-energy quasiparticles are described as three-component fermions distinct from Dirac and Weyl fermions. We further obser…
The Fermi arcs of topological surface states in the three-dimensional multi-Weyl semimetals on surfaces by a continuum model are investigated systematically. We calculated analytically the energy spectra and wave function for bulk quadratic- and cubic-Weyl semimetal with a single Weyl point. The Fermi arcs of topological surface states in Weyl semimetals with single- and double-pair Weyl points are investigated systematically. The evolution of the Fermi arcs of surface states variating with the boundary parameter is investigated and the topological Lifshitz phase transition of the Fermi arc co…
The quantum Hall effect is usually observed in 2D systems. We show that the Fermi arcs can give rise to a distinctive 3D quantum Hall effect in topological semimetals. Because of the topological constraint, the Fermi arc at a single surface has an open Fermi surface, which cannot host the quantum Hall effect. Via a "wormhole" tunneling assisted by the Weyl nodes, the Fermi arcs at opposite surfaces can form a complete Fermi loop and support the quantum Hall effect. The edge states of the Fermi arcs show a unique 3D distribution, giving an example of (d-2)-dimensional boundary states. This is d…
When a Dirac semimetal is subject to a circularly polarized laser, it is predicted that the Dirac cone splits into two Weyl nodes and a nonequilibrium transient state called the Floquet Weyl semimetal is realized. We focus on the previously unexplored low-frequency regime, where the upper and lower Dirac bands resonantly couple with each other through multi-photon processes, which is a realistic situation in solid state ultrafast pump-probe experiments. We find a series of new Weyl nodes emerging in pairs when the Floquet replica bands hybridize with each other. The nature of the Floquet Weyl …
We study dispersions of Fermi arcs in the Weyl semimetal phase by constructing a simple effective model. We calculate how the surface Fermi-arc dispersions for the top- and bottom surfaces merge into the bulk Dirac cones in the Weyl semimetal at both ends of the arcs, and show that they have opposite velocities. This result is also confirmed by a calculation using a tight-binding model. Furthermore, by changing a parameter in the system while preserving time-reversal symmetry, we show that two Fermi arcs evolve into a surface Dirac cone when the system transits from the Weyl semimetal to the t…
We propose a one-parameter family of noninteracting lattice models for Weyl semimetals with 4 Weyl nodes and tunable Fermi arcs. These 2-band model Hamiltonians are time-reversal symmetric with $\mathrm{T}^2 = + 1$, and tuning the parameter changes the connectivity of the Fermi arcs continuously without affecting the location and chiralities of the Weyl nodes in the bulk Brillouin zone. The bulk polarization and magnetization are shown to vary with this parameter, a dependence inaccessible to the low energy effective field theory.
Physicists have discovered a novel topological semimetal, the Weyl semimetal, whose surface features a non-closed Fermi surface while the low energy quasiparticles in the bulk emerge as Weyl fermions. Here they share a brief review of the development and present perspectives on the next step forward.
Weyl semimetals host topologically protected surface states, with arced Fermi surface contours that are predicted to propagate through the bulk when their momentum matches that of the surface projections of the bulk's Weyl nodes. We use spectroscopic mapping with a scanning tunneling microscope to visualize quasi-particle scattering and interference at the surface of the Weyl semimetal TaAs. Our measurements reveal 10 different scattering wave vectors, which can be understood and precisely reproduced with a theory that takes into account the shape, spin texture, and momentum-dependent propagat…
A Weyl semimetal is a new state of matter that host Weyl fermions as quasiparticle excitations. The Weyl fermions at zero energy correspond to points of bulk band degeneracy, Weyl nodes, which are separated in momentum space and are connected only through the crystal's boundary by an exotic Fermi arc surface state. We experimentally measure the spin polarization of the Fermi arcs in the first experimentally discovered Weyl semimetal TaAs. Our spin data, for the first time, reveal that the Fermi arcs' spin polarization magnitude is as large as 80% and possesses a spin texture that is completely…
The existence of $1/2$ modes in the entanglement spectrum (ES) has been shown to be a powerful quantum-informative signature of boundary states of gapped topological phases of matter, e.g., topological insulators and topological superconductors, where the finite bulk gap allows us to establish a crystal-clear correspondence between $1/2$ modes and boundary states. Here we investigate the recently proposed higher-order Weyl semimetals (HOWSM), where bulk supports gapless higher-order Weyl nodes and boundary supports hinge arcs and Fermi arcs. We find that the aim of unambiguously identifying hi…
Weyl semimetals constitute a newly discovered class of three-dimensional topological materials with linear touchings of valence and conduction bands in the bulk. The most striking property of topological origin in these materials, so far unequivocally observed only in photoemission experiments, is the presence of open constant-energy contours at the boundary --- the so-called Fermi arcs. In this work, we establish the universal characteristics of Fermi-arc contributions to surface quasiparticle interference. Using a general phenomenological model, we determine the defining interference pattern…
We re-examine the question of quantum oscillations from surface Fermi arcs and chiral modes in Weyl semimetals. By introducing two tools - semiclassical phase-space quantization and a numerical implementation of a layered construction of Weyl semimetals - we discover several important generalizations to previous conclusions that were implicitly tailored to the special case of identical Fermi arcs on top and bottom surfaces. We show that the phase-space quantization picture fixes an ambiguity in the previously utilized energy-time quantization approach and correctly reproduces the numerically c…
Weyl semimetals are gapless three-dimensional topological materials where two bands touch at even number of points in the Brillouin zone. In this work we study a zincblende lattice model realizing a time-reversal invariant Weyl semimetal. The bulk dynamics is decribed by twelve helical Weyl nodes. Surface states form a peculiar quasi two-dimensional helical metal fundamentally different from the Dirac form typical for topological insulators. Allowed direction of velocity and spin of low-energy surface excitations are locked to the cubic symmetry axes. The studied system illustrates general pro…
Bulk-boundary correspondence has achieved a great success in the identification of topological states. However, this elegant strategy doesn't apply to the Dirac semimetals (DSMs). Here, we propose that kagome lattices Pd$_3$Pb$_2$X$_2$ (X = S, Se) are unique type-I DSMs without surface Fermi arc states, which are different from the previous well-known DSMs, such as Na$_3$Bi and Cd$_3$As$_2$. Pd$_3$Pb$_2$X$_2$ are characterized by nontrivial topological invariant Z$_3$, guaranteeing a higher-order bulk-hinge correspondence and the existence of higher-order Fermi arcs, as well as fractional corn…
The hallmark of Weyl semimetals is the existence of open constant-energy contours on their surface -- the so-called Fermi arcs -- connecting Weyl points. Here, we show that for time-reversal symmetric realizations of Weyl semimetals these Fermi arcs in many cases coexist with closed Fermi pockets originating from surface Dirac cones pinned to time-reversal invariant momenta. The existence of Fermi pockets is required for certain Fermi-arc connectivities due to additional restrictions imposed by the six $\mathbb{Z}_2$ topological invariants characterizing a generic time-reversal invariant Weyl …
One of the main features of Weyl semimetals is the existence of Fermi arc surface states at their surface, which cannot be realized in pure two-dimensional systems in the absence of many-body interactions. Due to the gapless bulk of the semimetal, it is, however, challenging to observe clear signatures from the Fermi arc surface states. Here, we propose to detect such novel surface states via perfect negative refraction that occurs between two adjacent open surfaces with properly orientated Fermi arcs. Specifically, this phenomenon visibly manifests in non-local transport measurement, where th…
We investigate higher-order Weyl semimetals (HOWSMs) having bulk Weyl nodes attached to both surface and hinge Fermi arcs. We identify a new type of Weyl node, that we dub a $2nd$ order Weyl node, that can be identified as a transition in momentum space in which both the Chern number and a higher order topological invariant change. As a proof of concept we use a model of stacked higher order quadrupole insulators to identify three types of WSM phases: $1st$-order, $2nd$-order, and hybrid-order. The model can also realize type-II and hybrid-tilt WSMs with various surface and hinge arcs. Moreove…
Very recently the topological Weyl semimetal (WSM) state was predicted in the noncentrosymmetric compounds TaAs, TaP, NbAs, and NbP and soon led to photoemission and transport experiments to verify the presumed topological properties such as Fermi arcs (unclosed Fermi surfaces) and the chiral anomaly. In this work, we have performed fully \textit{ab initio} calculations of the surface band structures of these four WSM materials and revealed the Fermi arcs with spin-momentum-locked spin texture. On the (001) polar surface, the shape of the Fermi surface depends sensitively on the surface termin…
We study the low-energy single-electron transport across a junction of two magnetic Weyl semimetals, in which the anisotropy axes are tilted one respect to the other. Using a two-band model with a potential step, we compute the transmission factor for normal and Klein tunneling and the refraction properties of the interface as a function of the tilt angle. We show that the interface acts as a beam splitter, separating electrons with different chiralities. We also characterize interface states, only appearing for finite tilt angle, which connect the projection of the Fermi surfaces on the two s…
Weyl semimetals display a novel topological phase of matter where the Weyl nodes emerge in pairs of opposite chirality and can be seen as either a source or a sink of Berry curvature. The exotic effects in Weyl semimetals, such as surface Fermi arcs and the chiral anomaly, make them a new playground for exploring novel functionalities. Further exploiting their potential applications requires clear understanding of their topological electronic properties, such as Weyl points and Fermi arcs. Here we report a Fourier transform scanning tunneling spectroscopy (FT-STS) study on a type-II Weyl semim…
We provide a manifestly topological classification scheme for generalised Weyl semimetals, in any spatial dimension and with arbitrary Weyl surfaces which may be non-trivially linked. The classification naturally incorporates that of Chern insulators. Our analysis refines, in a mathematically precise sense, some well-known 3D constructions to account for subtle but important global aspects of the topology of semimetals. Using a fundamental locality principle, we derive a generalized charge cancellation condition for the Weyl surface components. We analyse the bulk-boundary correspondence under…
We propose an analytical model describing Fermi arc surface states observed in the recent investigations of Weyl semimetals. The effective two-valley Hamiltonian is supplemented by the boundary conditions taking into account both the intravalley and intervalley interfacial interaction. We demonstrate that the latter is crucial for the formation of the surface states having the form consistent with the experimental data. Depending on the magnitude and interplay between the intravalley and intervalley interactions, the Fermi arc connects two nearby or distant valleys. Moreover, the emergence of …
The recent experimental discovery of a Weyl semimetal in TaAs provides the first observation of a Weyl fermion in nature and demonstrates a novel type of anomalous surface state band structure, consisting of Fermi arcs. So far, work has focused on Weyl semimetals with strong spin-orbit coupling (SOC). However, Weyl semimetals with weak SOC may allow tunable spin-splitting for device applications and may exhibit a crossover to a spinless topological phase, such as a Dirac line semimetal in the case of spinless TaAs. NbP, isostructural to TaAs, may realize the first Weyl semimetal in the limit o…
Weyl semimetals (WSMs) have recently attracted a great deal of attention as they provide condensed matter realization of chiral anomaly, feature topologically protected Fermi arc surface states and sustain sharp chiral Weyl quasiparticles up to a critical disorder at which a continuous quantum phase transition (QPT) drives the system into a metallic phase. We here numerically demonstrate that with increasing strength of disorder the Fermi arc gradually looses its sharpness, and close to the WSM-metal QPT it completely dissolves into the metallic bath of the bulk. Predicted topological nature o…
Topological semimetals in crystals with a chiral structure (which possess a handedness due to a lack of mirror and inversion symmetries) are expected to display numerous exotic physical phenomena, including fermionic excitations with large topological charge [1], long Fermi arc surface states [2,3], unusual magnetotransport [4] and lattice dynamics [5], as well as a quantized response to circularly polarized light [6]. To date, all experimentally confirmed topological semimetals exist in crystals that contain mirror operations, meaning that these properties do not appear. Here, we show that Al…
The recent discovery of the first Weyl semimetal in TaAs provides the first observation of a Weyl fermion in nature and demonstrates a novel type of anomalous surface state, the Fermi arc. Like topological insulators, the bulk topological invariants of a Weyl semimetal are uniquely fixed by the surface states of a bulk sample. Here, we present a set of distinct conditions, accessible by angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES), each of which demonstrates topological Fermi arcs in a surface state band structure, with minimal reliance on calculation. We apply these results to TaAs and N…
We present a physical scenario in which both Fermi arcs and two-dimensional gapless Dirac states coexist as boundary modes at the same two-dimensional surface. This situation is realized in topological insulator-Weyl semimetal interfaces in spite of explicit time reversal symmetry breaking. Based on a heuristic topological index, we predict that the coexistence is allowed when (i) the corresponding states of the Weyl semimetal and topological insulator occur at disconnected parts of the Brillouin zone separated by the Weyl nodes and (ii) the time-reversal breaking vector defining the Weyl semi…
The transport properties and electron states in cylinder nanowires of Dirac and Weyl semimetals are studied paying special attention to the structure and properties of the surface Fermi arcs. The latter make the electric charge and current density distributions in nanowires strongly nonuniform as the majority of the charge density is accumulated at the surface. It is found that a Weyl semimetal wire also supports a magnetization current localized mainly at the surface because of the Fermi arcs contribution. By using the Kubo linear response approach, the direct current (DC) conductivity is cal…
Weyl semimetal is a new quantum state of matter [1-12] hosting the condensed matter physics counterpart of relativisticWeyl fermion [13] originally introduced in high energy physics. The Weyl semimetal realized in the TaAs class features multiple Fermi arcs arising from topological surface states [10, 11, 14-16] and exhibits novel quantum phenomena, e.g., chiral anomaly induced negative mag-netoresistance [17-19] and possibly emergent supersymmetry [20]. Recently it was proposed theoretically that a new type (type-II) of Weyl fermion [21], which does not have counterpart in high energy physics…
Weyl semimetals are a class of materials that can be regarded as three-dimensional analogs of graphene breaking time reversal or inversion symmetry. Electrons in a Weyl semimetal behave as Weyl fermions, which have many exotic properties, such as chiral anomaly and magnetic monopoles in the crystal momentum space. The surface state of a Weyl semimetal displays pairs of entangled Fermi arcs at two opposite surfaces. However, the existence of Weyl semimetals has not yet been proved experimentally. Here we report the experimental realization of a Weyl semimetal in TaAs by observing Fermi arcs for…
Fermi arc surface states, the manifestation of the bulk-edge correspondence in Weyl semimetals, have attracted much research interest. In contrast to the conventional Fermi loop, the disconnected Fermi arcs provide an exotic 2D system for exploration of novel physical effects on the surface of Weyl semimetals. Here, we propose that visible conductance oscillation can be achieved in the planar junctions fabricated on the surface of Weyl semimetal with a pair of Fermi arcs. It is shown that Fabry-Pérot-type interference inside the 2D junction can generate conductance oscillation with its visibil…
Fermi arc surface states are the hallmark of Weyl semimetals, whose identification is usually challenged by their coexistence with gapless bulk states. Surface transport measurements by fabricating setups on the sample boundary provide a natural solution to this problem. Here, we study the Andreev reflection (AR) in a planar normal metal-superconductor junction on the Weyl semimetal surface with a pair of Fermi arcs. For a conserved transverse momentum, the occurrence of normal reflection depends on the relative orientation between the Fermi arcs and the normal of the junction, which is a dire…
We introduce spectral flow techniques to explain why the Fermi arcs of Weyl semimetals are topologically protected against boundary condition changes and perturbations. We first analyse the topology of a certain universal space of self-adjoint half-line massive Dirac Hamiltonians, and then exploit its non-trivial and homotopy invariant spectral flow structure by pulling it back to generic Weyl semimetal models. The homological perspective of using Dirac strings/Euler chains as global topological invariants of Weyl semimetals/Fermi arcs, is thereby analytically justified.
We investigate the consequences of applying electric fields perpendicularly to thin films of topological semimetals. In particular, we consider Weyl and Dirac semimetals in a configuration such that their surface Fermi arcs lie on opposite edges of the films. We develop an analytical approach based on perturbation theory and a single-surface approximation and we compare our analytical results with numerical calculations. The effect of the electric field on the dispersion is twofold: it shifts the dispersion relation and renormalizes the Fermi velocity, which would, in turn, have direct effects…

We formulate a linear response theory of the chiral magnetic effect in a finite Weyl semimetal, expressing the electrical current density $j$ induced by a slowly oscillating magnetic field $B$ or chiral chemical potential $μ$ in terms of the scattering matrix of Weyl fermions at the Fermi level. Surface conduction can be neglected in the infinite-system limit for $δj/δμ$, but not for $δj/δB$: The chirally circulating surface Fermi arcs give a comparable contribution to the bulk Weyl cones no matter how large the system is, because their smaller number is compensated by an increased flux sensit…
Weyl semimetals are crystalline solids that host emergent relativistic Weyl fermions and have characteristic surface Fermi-arcs in their electronic structure. Weyl semimetals with broken time reversal symmetry are difficult to identify unambiguously. In this work, using angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy, we visualized the electronic structure of the ferromagnetic crystal Co3Sn2S2 and discovered its characteristic surface Fermi-arcs and linear bulk band dispersions across the Weyl points. These results establish Co3Sn2S2 as a magnetic Weyl semimetal that may serve as a platform for real…
Condensed matter systems realizing Weyl fermions exhibit striking phenomenology derived from their topologically protected surface states as well as chiral anomalies induced by electromagnetic fields. More recently, inhomogeneous strain or magnetization were predicted to result in chiral electric $\mathbf{E}_5$ and magnetic $\mathbf{B}_5$ fields, which modify and enrich the chiral anomaly with additional terms. In this work, we develop a lattice-based approach to describe the chiral anomaly, which involves Landau and pseudo-Landau levels and treats all anomalous terms on equal footing, while n…
Three-dimensional Weyl semimetals have pairs of topologically protected Weyl nodes, whose projections onto the surface Brillouin zone are the end points of zero energy surface states called Fermi arcs. At the endpoints of the Fermi arcs, surface states extend into and are hybridized with the bulk. Here, we consider a two-dimensional junction of two identical Weyl semimetals whose surfaces are twisted with respect to each other and tunnel-coupled. Confining ourselves to commensurate angles (such that a larger unit cell preserves a reduced translation symmetry at the interface) enables us to ana…
We study the effects of disorder on semi-infinite Weyl and Dirac semimetals where the presence of a boundary leads to the formation of either Fermi arcs/rays or Dirac surface states. Using a local version of the self-consistent Born approximation, we calculate the profile of the local density of states and the surface group velocity. This allows us to explore the full phase diagram as a function of boundary conditions and disorder strength. While in all cases we recover the sharp criticality in the bulk, we unveil a critical behavior at the surface of Dirac semimetals, which is smoothed out by…
In topological quantum materials the conduction and valence bands are connected at points (Dirac/Weyl semimetals) or along lines (Line Node semimetals) in the momentum space. Numbers of studies demonstrated that several materials are indeed Dirac/Weyl semimetals. However, there is still no experimental confirmation of materials with line nodes, in which the Dirac nodes form closed loops in the momentum space. Here we report the discovery of a novel topological structure - Dirac node arcs - in the ultrahigh magnetoresistive material PtSn4 using laser-based angle-resolved photoemission spectrosc…
The Weyl semimetal phase is a recently discovered topological quantum state of matter characterized by the presence of topologically protected degeneracies near the Fermi level. These degeneracies are the source of exotic phenomena, including the realization of chiral Weyl fermions as quasiparticles in the bulk and the formation of Fermi arc states on the surfaces. Here, we demonstrate that these two key signatures show distinct evolutions with the bulk band topology by performing angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy, supported by first-principle calculations, on transition-metal monophos…
Topological Weyl semimetals (TWS) can be classified as type-I TWS, in which the density of states vanishes at the Weyl nodes, and type-II TWS where an electron and a hole pocket meet with finite density of states at the nodal energy. The dispersions of type-II Weyl nodes are tilted and break Lorentz invariance, allowing for physical properties distinct from those in a type-I TWS. We present minimal lattice models for both time-reversal-breaking and inversion-breaking type-II Weyl semimetals, and investigate their bulk properties and topological surface states. These lattice models capture the …
Weyl semimetals are new states of matter which feature novel Fermi arcs and exotic transport phenomena. Based on first-principles calculations, we report that the chalcopyrites CuTlSe2, AgTlTe2, AuTlTe2 and ZnPbAs2 are ideal Weyl semimetals, having largely separated Weyl points (~ 0.05/A) and uncovered Fermi arcs that are amenable to experimental detections. We also construct a minimal effective model to capture the low-energy physics of this class of Weyl semimetals. Our discovery is a major step toward a perfect playground of intriguing Weyl semimetals and potential applications for low-powe…
