A bosonization of the quantum affine superalgebra $U_q(\widehat{sl}(M|N))$ is presented for an arbitrary level $k \in {\bf C}$.The Wakimoto realization is given by using $ξ-η$ system. The screening operators that commute with $U_q(\widehat{sl}(M|N))$ are presented for the level $k \neq -M+N$. New bosonization of the affine superalgebra $\widehat{sl}(M|N)$ is obtained in the limit $q \to 1$.
We give bosonizations of the superalgebras $U_q(\hat{sl}(N|1))$ and $U_{q,p}(\hat{sl}(N|1))$ for an arbitrary level $k \in {\bf C}$. We introduce the submodule by the $ξ$-$η$ system, that we call the $q$-Wakimoto realization.
We give a bosonization of the quantum affine superalgebra $U_q(\widehat{sl}(N|1))$ for an arbitrary level $k \in {\bf C}$. The bosonization of level $k \in {\bf C}$ is completely different from those of level $k=1$. From this bosonization, we induce the Wakimoto realization whose character coincides with those of the Verma module. We give the screening that commute with $U_q(\widehat{sl}(N|1))$. Using this screening, we propose the vertex operator that is the intertwiner among the Wakimoto realization and typical realization. We study non-vanishing property of the correlation function defined …
It is well known that the bosonized version of the Wakimoto construction allows the explicit realization of any affine algebra $\widehat{g}$, with arbitrary level $k$ in the homogeneous gradation, in terms of $dim(g)$ free bosonic fields. In this paper, we show in the case of the simplest affine algebra $\widehat{sl(2)}$, that the bosonized Wakimoto realization can be extended to the principal gradation only when $k$ is equal to the critical level, i.e., -2. In this case, this construction can be achieved in terms of arbitrary number (larger than 1) of free bosonic fields.
We construct embeddings of $\widehat{\mathfrak{sl}}_2$ in lattice vertex algebras by composing the Wakimoto realization with the Friedan-Martinec-Shenker bosonization. The Kac-Wakimoto hierarchy then gives rise to two new hierarchies of integrable, non-autonomous, non-linear partial differential equations. A new feature of our construction is that it works for any value of the central element of $\widehat{\mathfrak{sl}}_2$; that is, the level becomes a parameter in the equations.
The fractional level models are (logarithmic) conformal field theories associated with affine Kac-Moody (super)algebras at certain levels $k \in \mathbb{Q}$. They are particularly noteworthy because of several longstanding difficulties that have only recently been resolved. Here, Wakimoto's free field realisation is combined with the theory of Jack symmetric functions to analyse the fractional level $\widehat{\mathfrak{sl}}(2)$ models. The first main results are explicit formulae for the singular vectors of minimal grade in relaxed Wakimoto modules. These are closely related to the minimal gra…
We construct the screening currents of the quantum superalgebra $U_q(\hat{sl}(N|1))$ for an arbitrary level $k \neq -N+1$. We show that these screening currents commute with the superalgebra modulo total difference. We propose bosonizations of the vertex operators by using the screening currents. We check that these vertex operators are the intertwiners among the Fock-Wakimoto representation and the typical representation for rank $N \leq 4$.
By using methods developed in arXiv:math/0602181 we study the irreducibility of certain Wakimoto modules for $\widehat{sl_2}$ at the critical level. We classify all $χ\in {\Bbb C}((z))$ such that the corresponding Wakimoto module $W_χ$ is irreducible. It turns out that zeros of Schur polynomials play important rule in the classification result.
A generalized Wakimoto realization of $\widehat{\cal G}_K$ can be associated with each parabolic subalgebra ${\cal P}=({\cal G}_0 +{\cal G}_+)$ of a simple Lie algebra ${\cal G}$ according to an earlier proposal by Feigin and Frenkel. In this paper the proposal is made explicit by developing the construction of Wakimoto realizations from a simple but unconventional viewpoint. An explicit formula is derived for the Wakimoto current first at the Poisson bracket level by Hamiltonian symmetry reduction of the WZNW model. The quantization is then performed by normal ordering the classical formula a…
Matrix elements of intertwining operators between $q$-Wakimoto modules associated to the tensor product of representations of $U_q(\widehat{sl_2})$ with arbitrary spins are studied. It is shown that they coincide with the Tarasov-Varchenko's formulae of the solutions of the qKZ equations. The result generalizes that of the previous paper [Kuroki K., Nakayashiki A., SIGMA 4 (2008), 049, 13 pages, arXiv:0802.1776].
Using super RS construction method and Gauss decomposition, we obtain Drinfeld's currents realization of two-parameter quantum affine superalgebra $U_{p,q}\widehat{(gl(1|1))}$ and get co-product structure for these currents.
We prove an analogue of the MacMahon Master Theorem for the right quantum superalgebras. In particular, we obtain a new and simple proof of this theorem for the right quantum algebras. In the super case the theorem is then used to construct higher order Sugawara operators for the affine Lie superalgebra $\widehat{\mathfrak{gl}}(m|n)$ in an explicit form. The operators are elements of a completed universal enveloping algebra of $\widehat{\mathfrak{gl}}(m|n)$ at the critical level. They occur as the coefficients in the expansion of a noncommutative Berezinian and as the traces of powers of gener…
A bosonization of the quantum affine superalgebra $U_q(\widehat{sl}(M|N))$ is presented for an arbitrary level $k \in {\bf C}$. Screening operators that commute with $U_q(\widehat{sl}(M|N))$ are presented for the level $k \neq -M+N$.
We prove the irreducibility of the universal non-degenerate Whittaker modules for the affine Lie algebra $\widehat{sl_2}$ of type $A_1^{(1)}$ with noncritical level which are also irreducible Whittaker modules over $\widetilde{sl_2} =\widehat{sl_2} + {\Bbb C} d $ with the same Whittaker function and central charge. We have to modulo a central character for ${sl_2}$ to obtain irreducible degenerate Whittaker $\widehat{sl_2} $-modules with noncritical level. In the case of critical level the universal Whittaker module is reducible. We prove that the quotient of universal Whittaker $\widehat{sl_2…
A realization of the elliptic quantum algebra $U_{q,p}(\widehat{sl_2})$ for any given level $k$ is constructed in terms of three free boson fields and their accompanying twisted partners. It can be viewed as the elliptic deformation of Wakimoto realization. Two screening currents are constructed; they commute or anti-commute with $U_{q,p}(\widehat{sl_2})$ modulo total q-differences. The free fields realization for two types vertex operators nominated as the type $I$ and the type $II$ vertex operators are presented. The twisted version of the two types vertex operators are also obtained. They a…
We consider commutation relations and invertibility relations of vertex operators for the quantum affine superalgebra $U_q(\widehat{sl}(M|N))$ by using bosonization. We show that vertex operators give a representation of the graded Zamolodchikov-Faddeev algebra by direct computation.Invertibility relations of type-II vertex operators for $N>M$ are very similar to those of type-I for $M>N$.
We introduce the infinite-dimensional Lie superalgebra ${\mathcal A}$ and construct a family of mappings from certain category of ${\mathcal A}$-modules to the category of A_1^(1)-modules of critical level. Using this approach, we prove the irreducibility of a family of A_1^(1)-modules at the critical level. As a consequence, we present a new proof of irreducibility of certain Wakimoto modules. We also give a natural realizations of irreducible quotients of relaxed Verma modules and calculate characters of these representations.
It is known from a work of Feigin and Frenkel that a Wakimoto type, generalized free field realization of the current algebra $\widehat{\cal G}_k$ can be associated with each parabolic subalgebra ${\cal P}=({\cal G}_0+{\cal G}_+)$ of the Lie algebra ${\cal G}$, where in the standard case ${\cal G}_0$ is the Cartan and ${\cal P}$ is the Borel subalgebra. In this letter we obtain an explicit formula for the Wakimoto realization in the general case. Using Hamiltonian reduction of the WZNW model, we first derive a Poisson bracket realization of the ${\cal G}$-valued current in terms of symplectic …
We propose a generalization of Schramm-Loewner evolution (SLE) that has internal degrees of freedom described by an affine Lie superalgebra. We give a general formulation of SLE corresponding to representation theory of an affine Lie superalgebra whose underlying finite dimensional Lie superalgebra is basic classical type, and write down stochastic differential equations on internal degrees of freedom in case that the corresponding affine Lie superalgebra is $\widehat{\mathfrak{osp}(1|2)}$. We also demonstrate computation of local martingales associated with the solution from a representation …
We present a q-difference realization of the quantum superalgebra U_q(sl(M|N)), which includes Grassmann even and odd coordinates and their derivatives. Based on this result we obtain a free boson realization of the quantum affine superalgebra U_q(\widehat{sl}(2|1)) of an arbitrary level k.
We give shuffle algebra realization of positive part of quantum affine superalgebra $U_{v}(\widehat{\mathfrak{D}}(2,1;θ))$ associated to any simple root systems. We also determine the shuffle algebra associated to $\widehat{\mathfrak{sl}}(2|1)$ with odd root system when $v$ is a primitive root of unity of even order, generalizing results in \cite{FJMMT03}.
Fix an affine Lie algebra $\widehat{\mathfrak{g}}_κ$ with associated principal affine W-algebra $\mathcal{W}_κ$. A basic conjecture of Frenkel--Kac--Wakimoto asserts that Drinfeld--Sokolov reduction sends admissible $\widehat{\mathfrak{g}}_κ$-modules to zero or cohomological shifts of minimal series $\mathcal{W}_κ$-modules. We prove this conjecture and a natural generalization to the spectrally flowed Drinfeld--Sokolov reduction functors. This extends the previous results of Arakawa for the minus reduction.
We construct a bosonization of the quantum superalgebra $U_q(\hat{sl}(N|1))$ for an arbitrary level $k$. We construct the screening that commutes with the quantum superalgebra for an arbitrary level $k \neq -N+1$. We propose a bosonization of the vertex operator that gives the intertwiner among the Wakimoto realization and the typical representation.
The affine evaluation map is a surjective homomorphism from the quantum toroidal ${\mathfrak {gl}}_n$ algebra ${\mathcal E}'_n(q_1,q_2,q_3)$ to the quantum affine algebra $U'_q\widehat{\mathfrak {gl}}_n$ at level $κ$ completed with respect to the homogeneous grading, where $q_2=q^2$ and $q_3^n=κ^2$. We discuss ${\mathcal E}'_n(q_1,q_2,q_3)$ evaluation modules. We give highest weights of evaluation highest weight modules. We also obtain the decomposition of the evaluation Wakimoto module with respect to a Gelfand-Zeitlin type subalgebra of a completion of ${\mathcal E}'_n(q_1,q_2,q_3)$, which d…
Modules over affine Lie superalgebras ${\cal G}$ are studied, in particular, for ${\cal G}=\hat{OSP(1,2)}$. It is shown that on studying Verma modules, much of the results in Kac-Moody algebra can be generalized to the super case. Of most importance are the generalized Kac-Kazhdan formula and the Malikov-Feigin-Fuchs construction, which give the weights and the explicit form of the singular vectors in the Verma module over affine Kac-Moody superalgebras. We have also considered the decomposition of the admissible representation of $\hat{OSP(1,2)}$ into that of $\hat{SL(2)}\otimes$Virasoro alge…

We show that the Kazhdan-Lusztig category $KL_k$ of level-$k$ finite-length modules with highest-weight composition factors for the affine Lie superalgebra $\widehat{\mathfrak{gl}(1|1)}$ has vertex algebraic braided tensor supercategory structure, and that its full subcategory $\mathcal{O}_k^{fin}$ of objects with semisimple Cartan subalgebra actions is a tensor subcategory. We show that every simple $\widehat{\mathfrak{gl}(1|1)}$-module in $KL_k$ has a projective cover in $\mathcal{O}_k^{fin}$, and we determine all fusion rules involving simple and projective objects in $\mathcal{O}_k^{fin}$.…
In this paper, we extend results connecting quantum groups to spherical Whittaker functions on metaplectic covers of $GL_r(F)$, for $F$ a nonarchimedean local field. Brubaker, Buciumas, and Bump showed that for a certain metaplectic $n$-fold cover of $GL_r(F)$ a set of Yang-Baxter equations model the action of standard intertwiners on principal series Whittaker functions. These equations arise from a Drinfeld twist of the quantum affine Lie superalgebra $U_{\sqrt{v}}(\widehat{\frak{gl}}(n)),$ where $v = q^{-1}$ for $q$ the cardinality of the residue field. We extend their results to all metapl…
Bosonized q-vertex operators related to the 4-dimensional evaluation modules of the quantum affine superalgebra $U_q[\hat{sl(2|1)}]$ are constructed for arbitrary level $k=α$, where $α\neq 0, -1$ is a complex parameter appearing in the 4-dimensional evaluation representations. They are intertwiners among the level-$α$ highest weight Fock-Wakimoto modules. Screen currents which commute with the action of $U_q[\hat{sl(2|1)}]$ up to total differences are presented. Integral formulae for N-point functions of type I and type II q-vertex operators are proposed.
We show that the traces of $U_q(\widehat{\mathfrak{sl}}_2)$-intertwiners of Etingof-Schiffmann-Varchenko valued in the three-dimensional evaluation representation converge in a certain region of parameters and give a representation-theoretic construction of Felder-Varchenko's hypergeometric solutions to the $q$-KZB heat equation. This gives the first proof that such a trace function converges and resolves the first case of the Etingof-Varchenko conjecture. As applications, we prove a symmetry property for traces of intertwiners and prove Felder-Varchenko's conjecture that their elliptic Macdon…
We introduce and study the quantum toroidal algebra $\mathcal{E}_{m|n}(q_1,q_2,q_3)$ associated with the superalgebra $\mathfrak{gl}_{m|n}$ with $m\neq n$, where the parameters satisfy $q_1q_2q_3=1$. We give an evaluation map. The evaluation map is a surjective homomorphism of algebras $\mathcal{E}_{m|n}(q_1,q_2,q_3) \to \widetilde{U}_q\,\widehat{\mathfrak{gl}}_{m|n}$ to the quantum affine algebra associated with the superalgebra $\mathfrak{gl}_{m|n}$ at level $c$ completed with respect to the homogeneous grading, where $q_2=q^2$ and $q_3^{m-n}=c^2$. We also give a bosonic realization of level…
We introduce a category $\widehat{\mathcal{O}}_{\rm osc}$ of $q$-oscillator representations of the quantum affine algebra $U_q(\widehat{\mathfrak{gl}}_n)$. We show that $\widehat{\mathcal{O}}_{\rm osc}$ has a family of irreducible representations, which naturally corresponds to finite-dimensional irreducible representations of quantum affine algebra of untwisted affine type $A$. It is done by constructing a category of $q$-oscillator representations of the quantum affine superalgebra of type $A$, which interpolates these two family of irreducible representations. The category $\widehat{\mathca…
We will give new applications of quantum groups to the study of spherical Whittaker functions on the metaplectic $n$-fold cover of $GL(r,F)$, where $F$ is a nonarchimedean local field. Earlier Brubaker, Bump, Friedberg, Chinta and Gunnells had shown that these Whittaker functions can be identified with the partition functions of statistical mechanical systems. They postulated that a Yang-Baxter equation underlies the properties of these Whittaker functions. We confirm this, and identify the corresponding Yang-Baxter equation with that of the quantum affine Lie superalgebra $U_{\sqrt{v}}(\wideh…
