Let $\{B(t), t\ge 0\}$ be a Brownian motion. Consider the Brownian motion risk model with interest rate collection and tax payment defined by \begin{align}\label{Rudef} \widetilde{U}_γ^δ(t)=\widetilde{X}^δ(t)-γ\sup_{s\in[0,t]} \left(\widetilde{X}^δ(s)e^{δ(t-s)}-ue^{δ(t-s)}\right),t\ge0, \end{align} with $$\widetilde{X}^δ(t)=ue^{δt}+c \int_0^t e^{δ(t-v)}dv-σ\int_0^t e^{δ(t-v)}dB(v),$$ where $c>0,γ\in [0,1)$ and $δ\in \mathbb{R}$ are three given constants. When $δ=0$ and $γ\in (0,1)$ this is the risk model introduced from Albrecher and Hipp in \cite{AH2007} where the ruin probability in the infinite time horizon has been explicitly calculated. In the presence of interest rate $δ\neq0$, the calculation of ruin probability for this risk process for both finite and infinite time horizon seems impossible. In the paper, based on asymptotic theory we propose an approximation for ruin probability and ruin time when the initial capital $u$ tends to infinity. Our results are of interest given the fact that this can be used as benchmark model in various calculations.

We investigate the Levy insurance risk model with tax under Cramér's condition. A direct analogue of Cramér's estimate for the probability of ruin in this model is obtained, together with the asymptotic distribution, conditional on ruin occurring, of several variables of interest related to ruin including the surplus immediately prior to ruin (undershoot) and shortfall at ruin (overshoot). We also compute the present value of all tax paid conditional on ruin occurring. The proof involves first transferring results from the model with no tax to the reflected process, and from there to the model…
We consider a dual risk model with constant expense rate and i.i.d. exponentially distributed gains $C_i$ ($i=1,2,\dots$) that arrive according to a renewal process with general interarrival times. We add to this classical dual risk model the proportional gain feature, that is, if the surplus process just before the $i$th arrival is at level $u$, then for $a>0$ the capital jumps up to the level $(1+a)u+C_i$. The ruin probability and the distribution of the time to ruin are determined. We furthermore identify the value of discounted cumulative dividend payments, for the case of a Poisson arriva…
This paper considers an optimal dividend distribution problem for an insurance company where the dividends are paid in a foreign currency. In the absence of dividend payments, our risk process follows a spectrally negative Lévy process. We assume that the exchange rate is described by a an exponentially Lévy process, possibly containing the same risk sources like the surplus of the insurance company under consideration. The control mechanism chooses the amount of dividend payments. The objective is to maximise the expected dividend payments received until the time of ruin and a penalty payment…
The paper deals with a generalization of the risk model with stochastic premiums where dependence structures between claim sizes and inter-claim times as well as premium sizes and inter-premium times are modeled by Farlie--Gumbel--Morgenstern copulas. In addition, dividends are paid to its shareholders according to a threshold dividend strategy. We derive integral and integro-differential equations for the Gerber--Shiu function and the expected discounted dividend payments until ruin. Next, we concentrate on the detailed investigation of the model in the case of exponentially distributed claim…
The paper deals with a generalization of the risk model with stochastic premiums where dividends are paid according to a multi-layer dividend strategy. First of all, we derive piecewise integro-differential equations for the Gerber--Shiu function and the expected discounted dividend payments until ruin. In addition, we concentrate on the detailed investigation of the model in the case of exponentially distributed claim and premium sizes and find explicit formulas for the ruin probability as well as for the expected discounted dividend payments. Lastly, numerical illustrations for some multi-la…
In this paper, we consider the mixed ratcheting-periodic dividend strategies for spectrally negative Lévy risk model, in which dividend payments can both be made continuously without falling and discretely at the jump times of an independent Poisson process. The expected net present value(NPV) of dividends paid up to ruin and the Laplace transform of the ruin time are obtained by using Lévy fluctuation theory. All the results are expressed in terms of scale functions. Finally, numerical results for Brownian motion with drift are given.
We study the problem of determining risk-minimizing investment strategies for insurance payment processes in the presence of taxes and expenses. We consider the situation where taxes and expenses are paid continuously and symmetrically and introduce the concept of tax- and expense-modified risk-minimization. Risk-minimizing strategies in the presence of taxes and expenses are derived and linked to Galtchouk-Kunita-Watanabe decompositions associated with modified versions of the original payment processes. Furthermore, we show equivalence to an alternative approach involving an artificial marke…
We consider two insurance companies with endowment processes given by Brownian motions with drift. The firms can collaborate by transfer payments in order to maximize the probability that none of them goes bankrupt. We show that pushing maximally the company with less endowment is the optimal strategy for the collaboration if the Brownian motions are correlated and the transfer rate can exceed the drift rates. Moreover, we obtain an explicit formula for the minimal ruin probability in case of perfectly positively correlated Brownian motions where we also allow for different diffusion coefficie…
Drawdown/regret times feature prominently in optimal stopping problems, in statistics (CUSUM procedure) and in mathematical finance (Russian options). Recently it was discovered that a first passage theory with general drawdown times, which generalize classic ruin times, may be explicitly developed for spectrally negative Lévy processes -- see Avram, Vu, Zhou(2017), Li, Vu, Zhou(2017). In this paper, we further examine general drawdown related quantities for taxed time-homogeneous Markov processes, using the pathwise connection between general drawdown and tax.
Motivated by Kyprianou and Zhou (2009), Wang and Hu (2012), Avram et al. (2017), Li et al. (2017) and Wang and Zhou (2018), we consider in this paper the problem of maximizing the expected accumulated discounted tax payments of an insurance company, whose reserve process (before taxes are deducted) evolves as a spectrally negative Lévy process with the usual exclusion of negative subordinator or deterministic drift. Tax payments are collected according to the very general loss-carry-forward tax system introduced in Kyprianou and Zhou (2009). To achieve a balance between taxation optimization a…
Aiming for more realistic optimal dividend policies, we consider a stochastic control problem with linearly bounded control rates using a performance function given by the expected present value of dividend payments made up to ruin. In a Brownian model, we prove the optimality of a member of a new family of control strategies called delayed linear control strategies, for which the controlled process is a refracted diffusion process. For some parameters specifications, we retrieve the strategy initially proposed by Avanzi & Wong (2012) to regularize dividend payments, which is more consistent w…
In this paper, we study two optimisation settings for an insurance company, under the constraint that the terminal surplus at a deterministic and finite time $T$ follows a normal distribution with a given mean and a given variance. In both cases, the surplus of the insurance company is assumed to follow a Brownian motion with drift. First, we allow the insurance company to pay dividends and seek to maximise the expected discounted dividend payments or to minimise the ruin probability under the terminal distribution constraint. Here, we find explicit expressions for the optimal strategies in bo…
本文研究了时齐扩散环境下税收依赖于盈余的Omega风险模型。新模型结合了Omega风险模型(Albrecher and Gerber and Shiu(2011))和含税风险模型(Albrecher and Hipp(2007))的实用特征。

This paper considers an insurance surplus process modeled by a spectrally negative Lévy process. Instead of the time of ruin in the traditional setting, we apply the time of drawdown as the risk indicator in this paper. We study the joint distribution of the time of drawdown, the running maximum at drawdown, the last minimum before drawdown, the surplus before drawdown and the surplus at drawdown (may not be deficit in this case), which generalizes the known results on the classical expected discounted penalty function in Gerber and Shiu (1998). The results have semi-explicit expressions in te…
We address a long-standing open problem in risk theory, namely the optimal strategy to pay out dividends from an insurance surplus process, if the dividend rate can never be decreased. The optimality criterion here is to maximize the expected value of the aggregate discounted dividend payments up to the time of ruin. In the framework of the classical Cramér-Lundberg risk model, we solve the corresponding two-dimensional optimal control problem and show that the value function is the unique viscosity solution of the corresponding Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman equation. We also show that the value fun…
