A new mathematical framework for the diagonalization of the nondiagonal vector--scalar and axial-vector--pseudoscalar mixing in the effective meson Lagrangian is described. This procedure has unexpected connections with the Hadamard product of $n\times n$ matrices describing the couplings, masses, and fields involved. The approach is shown to be much more efficient as compared with the standard methods employed previously. The difference is especially noticeable if the chiral symmetry is broken explicitly. The paper ends with an illustrative application to the chiral model with broken $SU(3)_L\times SU(3)_R$ symmetry.
Using a recently developed three-point formalism within the method of QCD Sum Rules we determine the vacuum susceptibilities needed in the two-point formalism for the coupling of axial, vector, tensor and pseudoscalar currents to hadrons. All susceptibilities are determined by the space-time scale of condensates, which is estimated from data for deep inelastic scattering on nucleons.
It is shown that the diagonalization of the axial-vector -- pseudoscalar transitions in the effective meson Lagrangian in presence of electromagnetic interactions leads to a deviation from the vector meson dominance picture which usually arises in the Nambu - Jona-Lasinio model. The essential features of such modification of the theory are studied. Some important examples are considered in detail.
We investigate the isovector axial vector and pseudoscalar form factors of $Δ$ baryon by employing light-cone QCD sum rules. Numerical calculations show that the form factors can be well fitted by the exponential form. We make a comparison with the predictions of Lattice QCD, Chiral Perturbation Theory and Quark Model.
We study Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa (CKM) favored weak decays of Bc mesons in the Isgur-Scora-Grinstein-Wise (ISGW) quark model. We present a detailed analysis of the Bc meson decaying to a pseudoscalar meson (P) and an axial-vector meson (A). We also give the form factors involving transition in the ISGW II framework and consequently, predict the branching ratios of decays.
Two body nonleptonic weak decays of bottom mesons to a pseudoscalar meson and an axial-vector meson involving charmed states are studied using the non-relativistic quark model. We calculate the branching ratios of these decays by employing the factorization hypothesis. Obtained results are in good agreement with the existing experimental data. We also calculated the branching ratios in the light of heavy quark symmetry constraints and compared with the exiting theoretical analyses.
We suggest a rigorous generalization of the pseudoscalar mesons mixing description in SU(3) basis. It is shown that the appearance of extra massive state nicknamed in the paper as glueball is unavoidable in any scheme with more than one angle. In this framework we develop the dispersive approach to Abelian axial anomaly of isoscalar non-singlet current. Combining it with the analysis of experimental data of charmonium radiative decays ratio we get the number of quite strict constraints for mixing parameters. Our analysis favors the equal values of axial currents coupling constants which may be…
We study light pseudoscalar and axial states using a soft wall model that is modified by introducing two extra parameters: an UV-cutoff and an anomalous term in the conformal dimension of the fields involved such that meson fields with different parities are easily distinguishable. We find that 23 of these light mesonic states, including the scalars and vector states analyzed with one of our previous results, are fitted within the RMS error bounds given for this model, whose parameters are given by the quadratic dilaton profile, the UV locus $z_{0}$ and the anomalous term $Δ_{P}$. Our results …
Correlators of singlet and octet axial currents, as well as anomaly and pseudoscalar densities have been studied using QCD sum rules. Several of these sum rules are used to determine the couplings f^8_eta, f^0_eta, f^8_etaprime and f^0_etaprime. We find mutually consistent values which are also in agreement with phenomenological values obtained from data on various decay and production rates. While most of the sum rules studied by us are independent of the contributions of direct instantons and screening correction, the singlet-singlet current correlator and the anomaly-anomaly correlator impr…
We use a continuum quark+diquark approach to the nucleon bound-state problem in relativistic quantum field theory to deliver parameter-free predictions for the nucleon axial and induced pseudoscalar form factors, $G_A$ and $G_P$, and unify them with the pseudoscalar form factor $G_5$ or, equivalently, the pion-nucleon form factor $G_{πNN}$. We explain how partial conservation of the axial-vector current and the associated Goldberger-Treiman relation are satisfied once all necessary couplings of the external current to the building blocks of the nucleon are constructed consistently; in particul…
In this article, we calculate the axial and the induced pseudoscalar form-factors $G_A(t=-Q^2)$ and $G_P(t=-Q^2)$ of the nucleons in the framework of the light-cone QCD sum-rules approach up to twist-6 three valence quark light-cone distribution amplitudes, and observe that the form-factors $G_A(t=-Q^2)$ and $G_P(t=-Q^2)$ at intermediate and large momentum transfers with $Q^2> 2 GeV^2$ have significant contributions from the end-point (soft) terms. The numerical values for the axial form-factor $G_A(t=-Q^2)$ are compatible with the experimental data and theoretical calculations, for example, t…
We study theoretically the decay $τ^- \to ν_τP^- A$, with $P^-$ a $π^-$ or $K^-$ and $A$ an axial-vector resonance $b_1(1235)$, $h_1(1170)$, $h_1(1380)$, $a_1(1260)$, $f_1(1285)$ or any of the two poles of the $K_1(1270)$. The process proceeds through a triangle mechanism where a vector meson pair is first produced from the weak current and then one of the vectors produces two pseudoscalars, one of which reinteracts with the other vector to produce the axial resonance. For the initial weak hadronic production we use a recent formalism to account for the hadronization after the initial quark-an…
We study the operator product expansion (OPE) and quark-hadron duality for 2- and 3-point correlators of the axial (A) and pseudoscalar (P) currents of the light quarks. In the chiral limit these correlators are often dominated by nonperturbative power corrections leading to subtleties of quark-hadron duality relations and of the extraction of properties of light pseudoscalars. For the 2-point correlators, we show the sum rule for $<PP>$ to be sensitive to the excited light pseudoscalar. For the 3-point correlators, we derive the Ward identites which provide the normalization of the pion elect…
We calculate the scalar, axial, and pseudoscalar charges of the quark in the Schwinger-Dyson formalism of Landau gauge QCD. It is found that the dressed quark scalar density of the valence quark is significantly enhanced against the bare quark contribution, and the result explains qualitatively the phenomenologically known value of the pion-nucleon sigma term and also that given by lattice QCD. Moreover, we show that the Richardson's interquark potential suppresses the quark scalar density in the Higashjima-Miransky approximation. This fact suggests that the quark scalar density is an observab…
In this work the analysis of mixing parameters of the system involving eta, eta' mesons and some third massive state G is carried out. We use the generalized mixing scheme with three angles. The framework of the dispersive approach to Abelian axial anomaly of isoscalar non-singlet current and the analysis of experimental data of charmonium radiative decays ratio allow us to get a number of quite strict constraints for the mixing parameters. The analysis shows that the equal values of axial current coupling constants f_8 and f_0 are preferable which may be considered as a manifestation of SU(3)…
We evaluate the radiative decay into a pseudoscalar meson and a photon of the whole set of the axial-vector mesons dynamically generated from the vector-pseudoscalar meson ($VP$) interaction. We take into account tree level and loop diagrams coming from the axial-vector decay into a vector and a pseudoscalar meson. We find a large span for the values of the radiative widths of the different axial-vector mesons. In particular, we evaluate the radiative decay into $K γ$ of the two $K_1(1270)$ states, recently claimed theoretically, and discuss the experimental values quoted so far on the assumpt…
In this paper we explore the decay $η_b --> τ^+ τ^-$ as a probe for a light pseudoscalar or a light axial vector state. We estimate the standard model branching ratio for this decay to be $~4\times 10^{-9}$. We show that considerably larger branching ratios, up to the present experimental limit of ~8%, is possible in models with a light pseudoscalar or a light axial vector state. As we do not include possible mixing effects between the light pseudoscalar and the $η_b$, our results should be reliable when the pseudoscalar mass is away from the $η_b$ mass.
In the framework of the quasipotential method in quantum electrodynamics we calculate the contribution of light pseudoscalar (PS) and axial-vector (AV) mesons to the interaction operator of a muon and a proton in muonic hydrogen atom. The coupling of mesons with the muon is via two-photon intermediate state. The parametrization of the transition form factor of two photons into PS and AV mesons, based on the experimental data on the transition form factors and QCD asymptotics, is used. Numerical estimates of the contributions to the hyperfine structure of the spectrum of the S and P levels are …
The hard exclusive electroproduction of $π^0,η,η'$ mesons by the longitudinal photons is considered. We calculate the ratios of the $π^0 : η: η'$ yields for the electroproduction processes off nucleons and deuterons based on the QCD factorization theorem, the low energy QCD chiral dynamics, and the QCD anomaly. Thus investigation of these ratios gives a new way to probe the physics of the spontaneous chiral symmetry breaking.
Present laboratory limits on the coupling strength of anomalous pseudoscalar and axial interactions are many orders of magnitude weaker than their scalar and vector analogs. Here we investigate two mechanisms which can circumvent this suppression and thereby lead to improved limits.
The strong coupling constants, $g_{D_{s}DK_0^*}$, $g_{B_{s}BK_0^*}$, $g_{D^{\ast}_{s}D K}$, $g_{B^{\ast}_{s}BK}$, $g_{D^{\ast}_{s}D K_1}$ and $g_{B^{\ast}_{s}BK_1}$, where $K_0^*$, $K$ and $K_1$ are scalar, pseudoscalar and axial vector kaon mesons, respectively are calculated in the framework of three-point QCD sum rules. In particular, the correlation functions of the considered vertices when both $B(D)$ and $K_0^*(K)(K_1)$ mesons are off-shell are evaluated. In the case of $K_1$, which is either $K_1(1270)$ or $K_1(1400)$, the mixing between these two states are also taken into account. A c…
Many meson processes are related to the U_A(1) axial anomaly, present in the Feynman graphs where fermion loops connect axial vertices with vector vertices. However, the coupling of pseudoscalar mesons to quarks does not have to be formulated via axial vertices. The pseudoscalar coupling is also possible, and this approach is especially natural on the level of the quark substructure of hadrons. In this paper we point out the advantages of calculating these processes using (instead of the anomalous graphs) the Feynman graphs where axial vertices are replaced by pseudoscalar vertices. We elabora…
Matrix elements of flavor-diagonal light quark pseudoscalar densities and axial anomaly operators between vacuum and η and η' meson states have been determined. This has been done by evaluating current-current correlators of octet-octet and octet-singlet axial currents using QCD sum rules. The numerical values obtained for the matrix elements compare well with those obtained in the current literature.
We generalize the dispersive approach to axial anomaly by A.D. Dolgov and V.I. Zakharov to a non-Abelian case with arbitrary photon virtualites. We derive the anomaly sum rule for the singlet current and obtain the $π^0,η,η'\rightarrowγγ^*$ transition form factors. Using them, we established the behavior of a nonperturbative gluon matrix element $\langle 0 |G\tilde{G} |γγ^*(q^2) \rangle$ in both spacelike and timelike regions. We found a significant contribution of the non-Abelian axial anomaly to the processes with one virtual photon, comparable to that of the electromagnetic anomaly. The dua…
It has been observed in multiple lattice determinations of isovector axial and pseudoscalar nucleon form factors, that, despite the fact that the partial conservation of the axialvector current is fulfilled on the level of correlation functions, the corresponding relation for form factors (sometimes called the generalized Goldberger-Treiman relation in the literature) is broken rather badly. In this work we trace this difference back to excited state contributions and propose a new projection method that resolves this problem. We demonstrate the efficacy of this method by computing the axial a…
We discuss for some particular non supersymmetric theories a generalized symmetry that includes both the scale and axial transformations and leads to a single current that may contain also a pseudoscalar term. The method, inspired by the superconformal anomalies has important application for low energy effective models where it allows the introduction of a single complex glueball field with a scalar and a pseudoscalar component on the same footing with the complex meson nonets fields made of quarks. Both axial and trace and axial anomalies are satisfied in accordance to the meson structure and…
We compute the axial and pseudoscalar form factors of the nucleon in the Dyson-Schwinger approach. To this end, we solve a covariant three-body Faddeev equation for the nucleon wave function and determine the matrix elements of the axialvector and pseudoscalar isotriplet currents. Our only input is a well-established and phenomenologically successful ansatz for the nonperturbative quark-gluon interaction. As a consequence of the axial Ward-Takahashi identity that is respected at the quark level, the Goldberger-Treiman relation is reproduced for all current-quark masses. We discuss the timelike…
We perform a QCD sum rule study of the open-charmed $D_s (2317)$ as a four-quark state. Using the diquark-antidiquark picture for the four-quark state, we consider four possible interpolating fields for $D_s (2317)$, namely, scalar-scalar, pseudoscalar-pseudoscalar, vector-vector, and axial-vector--axial-vector types. We test all four currents by constructing four separate sum rules. The sum rule with the scalar-scalar current gives a stable value for the $D_s$ mass which qualitatively agrees with the experimental value, and the result is not sensitive to the continuum threshold. The vector-ve…
The singlet pseudoscalar sector of light mesons is investigated in the soft-wall model, a bottom-up approach to the AdS/QCD correspondence. The $η^\prime$ mass results from the mixing among the fields dual to the axial current, pseudoscalar current and the $G\tilde G$ operator. The topological susceptibility is computed for any quark mass, and the Witten-Veneziano relation is obtained in the large $N_c$ limit.
A previous formal derivation of the effective chiral Lagrangian for low-lying pseudoscalar mesons from first-principles QCD without approximations [Wang et al., Phys. Rev. D61, (2000) 54011] is generalized to further include scalar, vector, and axial-vector mesons. In the large Nc limit and with an Abelian approximation, we show that the properties of the newly added mesons in our formalism are determined by the corresponding underlying fundamental homogeneous Bethe--Salpeter equation in the ladder approximation, which yields the equations of motion for the scalar, vector, and axial-vector mes…
Despite recent developments, there are a number of conceptual issues on the hadronic light-by-light (HLbL) contribution to the muon $(g-2)$ which remain unresolved. One of the most controversial ones is the precise way in which short-distance constraints get saturated by resonance exchange, particularly in the so-called Melnikov-Vainshtein (MV) limit. In this paper we address this and related issues from a novel perspective, employing a warped five-dimensional model as a tool to generate a consistent realization of QCD in the large-$N_c$ limit. This approach differs from previous ones in that …
This work is an extension of our previous work in \cite{bhatnagar20} to calculate M1 transitions, $0^{-+}\rightarrow 1^{--} γ$, and E1 transitions involving axial vector mesons such as, $1^{+-} \rightarrow 0^{-+}γ$, and $0^{-+}\rightarrow 1^{+-} γ$ for which very little data is available as of now. We make use of the general structure of the transition amplitude, $M_{fi}$ derived in our previous work \cite{bhatnagar20} as a linear superposition of terms involving all possible combinations of $++$, and $--$ components of Salpeter wave functions of final and initial hadrons. In the present work,…
The radiative decay of the axial-vector resonances into a pseudoscalar meson and a photon is studied using the vector meson Lagrangian obtained from the hidden gauge symmetry (HGS) formalism. The formalism is well suited to study this problem since it deals with pseudoscalar and vector mesons in a unified way, respecting chiral invariance. We show explicitly the gauge invariance of the set of diagrams that appear in the approach and evaluate the radiative decay width of the a1(1260) and b1(1235) axial vector meson resonances into pi gamma. We also include the contribution of loops involving an…
We study the scattering of neutrinos on polarized and unpolarized free nucleons, and also the polarization of recoil particles in these scatters. In contrast to electromagnetic processes, the parity-violating weak interaction gives rise to large spin asymmetries at leading order. Future polarization measurements could provide independent access to the proton axial structure and allow the first extraction of the pseudoscalar form factor from neutrino data without the conventional partially conserved axial current (PCAC) ansatz and assumptions about the pion-pole dominance. The pseudoscalar form…
We compute the nucleon axial and induced pseudoscalar form factors using three ensembles of gauge configurations, generated with dynamical light quarks with mass tuned to approximately their physical value. One of the ensembles also includes the strange and charm quarks with their mass close to physical. The latter ensemble has large statistics and finer lattice spacing and it is used to obtain final results, while the other two are used for assessing volume effects. The pseudoscalar form factor is also computed using these ensembles. We examine the momentum dependence of these form factors as…
We consider a scenario (supported by some lattice results) in which a U(1)-breaking condensate survives across the chiral transition in QCD. This scenario has important consequences for the pseudoscalar-meson sector, which can be studied using an effective Lagrangian model. In particular, generalizing the results obtained in two previous papers, where the effects on the radiative decays eta, eta' --> gamma gamma were studied, in this paper we study the effects of the U(1) chiral condensate on the strong decays of the "light" pseudoscalar mesons, i.e., eta, eta' --> 3pi^0; eta, eta' --> pi^+ pi^- …
We calculate the light quark condensate, the strange quark condensate, the pion condensate, and the axial condensate in three-flavor chiral perturbation theory ($χ$PT) in the presence of an isospin chemical potential at next-to-leading order at zero temperature. It is shown that the three-flavor $χ$PT effective potential and condensates can be mapped onto two-flavor $χ$PT ones by integrating out mesons with strange quark content (kaons and eta), with renormalized couplings. We compare the results for the light quark and pion condensates at finite pseudoscalar source with ($2+1$)-flavor lattice…
We present a lattice QCD calculation of the $Δ(1232)$ matrix elements of the axial-vector and pseudoscalar currents. The decomposition of these matrix elements into the appropriate Lorentz invariant form factors is carried out and the techniques to calculate the form factors are developed and tested using quenched configurations. Results are obtained for 2+1 domain wall fermions and within a hybrid scheme with domain wall valence and staggered sea quarks. Two Goldberger-Treiman type relations connecting the axial to the pseudoscalar effective couplings are derived. These and further relations …
According to the conjecture of the gauge/gravity duality a strongly coupled 4D field theory may be described by a dual 5D theory which is a free field theory in the first approximation. The usual description of the axial-vector sector in the bottom-up AdS/QCD models includes, however, the quartic interaction with a bulk scalar field. The question appears whether it is possible to describe some aspects of the chiral symmetry breaking in a way more consistent with the original proposal, i.e. within a free 5D theory? We suggest that a natural candidate for this purpose is the soft-wall model with…
We discuss the possible symmetries of the effective lagrangian describing interacting pseudoscalar-, vector-, and axial-vector mesons. Specific choices of the parameters give rise to an $[SU(2)\otimes SU(2)]^3$ symmetry. This symmetry can be obtained either {\it á la} Georgi, with all states in the spectrum remaining massless, or in a new realization, implying decoupling of the pseudoscalar bosons from degenerate vector and axial-vector mesons. This second possibility, when minimally coupled with $SU(2)\otimes U(1)$ electroweak gauge vector bosons, seems particularly appealing. All deviations …
The decays of $τ\to 3πν$ and $τ\to πK^{*} ν, Kρν$ are calculated using the hard pion and kaon current algebra and assuming the Axial-Vector meson dominance of the hadronic axial currents. Using the experimental data on their masses and widths, the $τ$ decay branching ratios into these channels are calculated and found to be in a reasonable agreement with the experimental data. In particular, using the available Aleph data on the $3π$ spectrum, we determine the $A_1$ parameters, $m_A=1.24\pm 0.02 GeV$, $Γ_A=0.43\pm 0.02$ GeV; the hard current algebra calculation yields a $3π$ branching ratio of…
A review of effective chiral theory of pseudoscalar, vector, and axial vector mesons is presented. 10 coefficients of the ChPT are predicted. A new symmetry breaking-axial-vector symmetry breaking is found and applied to EW theory. The masses of W and Z are dynamically generated and in agreement with data.
In this paper we point out the advantages of calculating these processes using (instead of the anomalous graphs) the graphs where axial vertices are replaced by pseudoscalar vertices. We revisit the dynamics of the axial coupling between many N-flatons and an Abelian gauge field, with special attention to its statistically anisotropic signal. The anisotropic power spectrum of curvature perturbations associated to the large wavelength modes of the gauge vector field is generally undetectable, since the anisotropy is confined to small scales. If the gauge field is the electromagnetic field, provided that the number of fields participating in the exponential expansion is large, it could be possible to generate sizable large scale magnetic fields. However, its spectrum is blue,…
We investigate the restoration of chiral SU$(3)\otimes$SU$(3)$ and axial U$_A$(1) symmetries, at finite temperature and density, in the framework of the three flavor Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model with anomaly. We implement a temperature (density) dependence of the anomaly coefficient motivated by lattice results for the topological susceptibility and we discuss the restoration of symmetries by analyzing the behavior of the mesonic chiral partners and of the mixing angles. The results indicate that the axial part of the symmetry is restored before the possible restoration of the full U(3)$\otimes$U(…
The production of heavy meson-antimeson pairs of the type $S\,V$ and $P \, A$ in $e^+e^-$ annihilation is considered, with $P$ and $V$ being the ground-state $J^P=0^-$ and $J^P=1^-$ (anti)mesons from the $(1/2)^-$ doublet, and $S$ and $A$ standing for the excited $J^P=0^+$ and $J^P=1^+$ (anti)mesons from the $(1/2)^+$ doublet. It is argued that the production amplitudes in these two channels should be equal up to a higher (than one) order in the heavy quark mass ($Λ_{QCD}/M_Q$) expansion, $A(e^+e^- \to S \bar V) = A(e^+e^- \to A \bar P)$, including both the $S$-wave and the $D$-wave amplitudes…
We study the puzzling vector meson X(2175) in a multichannel generalisation of the Resonance-Spectrum-Expansion model. Besides the usual P-wave pseudoscalar-pseudoscalar, pseudoscalar-vector, and vector-vector channels that couple to mesons with vector quantum numbers, we also include the important S-wave vector-scalar, pseudoscalar-axialvector and vector-axialvector channels, including the observed $ϕ$(1020)$f_0$(980) decay mode. The strong coupling to nearby S-wave channels originates dynamically generated poles, two of which come out close to the energy region of the X(2175), viz. at (2.037…
We study the radiative $ϕ$ decay into $π^0 π^0 γ$ and $π^0 ηγ$ taking into account mechanisms in which there are two sequential vector-vector-pseudoscalar or axial-vector--vector--pseudoscalar steps followed by the coupling of a vector meson to the photon, considering the final state interaction of the two mesons. There are other mechanisms in which two kaons are produced through the same sequential mechanisms or from $ϕ$ decay into two kaons and then undergo final state interaction leading to the final pair of pions or $π^0 η$, this latter mechanism being the leading one. The results of the p…
Octet baryon axial, induced pseudoscalar, and pseudoscalar form factors are computed using a symmetry-preserving treatment of a vector$\,\times\,$vector contact interaction (SCI), thereby unifying them with an array of other baryon properties and analogous treatments of semileptonic decays of pseudoscalar mesons. The baryons are treated as quark--plus--interacting-diquark bound states, whose structure is obtained by solving a Poincaré-covariant Faddeev equation. The approach is marked by algebraic simplicity, involves no free parameters, and since it is symmetry preserving, all consequences of…
We derive the effective action for pseudoscalar mesons by integrating out vector and axial--vector collective fields in the generating functional of the bosonized NJL--model. The corresponding modifications of the nonlinear effective Lagrangian and the bosonized currents, arising at $O(p^4)$, are discussed.
The rates and spectra of the anomalous $η\toπ^+π^-γ$ and $η' \toπ^+π^-γ$ decays are calculated. The approach is based on the effective meson Lagrangian obtained in the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model with vector and axial-vector mesons by integrating out quark fields. The resulting action is affected by mixing between members of pseudoscalar $J^{PC}=0^{-+}$ and axial-vector $1^{++}$ nonets that violates some low-energy theorems. In this note we point out that a gauge covariant procedure to diagonalize this mixing allows for consistent description of the $η\toπ^+π^-γ$ and $η' \toπ^+π^-γ$ decays.
Motivated by the ongoing measurements of the Primakoff process pi- gamma* --> pi- pi0 by COMPASS collaboration at CERN, the transition form factor for the canonical anomalous process gamma* --> pi+ pi0 pi- is calculated in a constituent quark loop model. The simplest contribution to this process is the quark "box" amplitude. In the present paper we also explicitly include the vector meson degrees of freedom, i.e., the rho and the omega, thus giving rise to additional, resonant contributions. We find that in order to satisfy the axial anomaly result, a further subtraction in the resonant part i…
Models of electroweak symmetry breaking with more than a single doublet of Higgs scalars contain a neutral pseudoscalar boson. The production of such a pseudoscalar in hadron collisions proceeds primarily via gluon fusion through a top-quark loop (except for those models in which the pseudoscalar coupling to bottom quarks is strongly enhanced). We compute the QCD corrections to this process in the heavy-quark limit, using an effective Lagrangian derived from the axial anomaly.
The key assumption used recently by Feldmann, Kroll and Stich [Phys.Rev. D58, 114006 (1998)] that the decay constants f_η, and f_η' of the respective eta and eta ' mesons in the quark flavor basis follow the pattern of strange and non--strange quarkonia mixing in their wave functions, is reproduced in identifying the non-isotriplet part of the strong neutral axial current with the genuine axial hypercharge current J_{μ, 5}^Y =\bar q γ_μγ_5 Y/2 q, where Y=C+S+B is defined by the Gell-Mann-Nakano-Nishijima relation as the sum of charm (C), strangeness (S), and baryon (B) quark quantum numbers. T…
We discuss the truncation of low energy effective action of QCD below the chiral symmetry breaking (CSB) scale, including all operators of dimensionality less or equal to 6 which can be built with quark and chiral fields. We perform its bosonization in the scalar, pseudoscalar, vector and axial-vector channels in the large-N_c and leading-log approximation. Constraints on the coefficients of the effective lagrangian are derived from the requirement of Chiral Symmetry Restoration (CSR) at energies above the CSB scale in the scalar-pseudoscalar and vector-axial-vector channels, from matching to …
