The CLAS Collaboration recently reported measured ratios of pion and kaon electroproduction cross sections from a proton target and extracted the ratios for light and strange quark--antiquark pairs, ${u\bar{u}}/ {d\bar{d}}$ and ${s\bar{s}}/ {d\bar{d}}$. Within an extended chiral constituent quark formalism, we investigate contributions to those ratios from the nonperturbative mechanism due to all possible intrinsic $|uudQ \bar{Q}\rangle$ Fock states in the proton; with $Q \bar{Q} \equiv u\bar{u},~ d\bar{d},~s\bar{s},~c\bar{c}$. Our results are compared with the CLAS data and findings from other phenomenological approaches, offering insights into the manifestations of the genuine five--quark Fock states in the proton and its relevance to interpreting the experimental data.
We extend to the strange quarks and antiquarks, the statistical approach of parton distributions and we calculate the strange quark asymmetry $s-\bar s$. We find that the asymmetry is small, positive in the low $x$ region and negative in the high $x$ region. In this framework, the polarized strange quarks and antiquarks distributions, which are obtained simultaneously, are found to be both negative for all $x$ values.
I review progress in calculating strange quark and antiquark distributions of the nucleon using the meson cloud model. This progress parallels that of the meson cloud model, which is now a useful theoretical basis for understanding symmetry breaking in nucleon parton distribution functions. I examine the breaking of symmetries involving strange quarks and antiquarks, including quark - antiquark symmetry in the sea, SU(3) flavour symmetry and SU(6) spin-flavour symmetry.
The leading nonperturbative QCD corrections to the one gluon exchange quark-quark, quark-antiquark and $q \bar{q}$ pair-excitation potentials are derived by using a covariant form of nonlocal two-quark and two-gluon vacuum expectation values. Our numerical calculation indicates that the correction of quark and gluon condensates to the quark-antiquark potential improves the heavy quarkonium spectra to some degree.
Starting from the gauge-invariant quark-antiquark Green function the expression for the nonrelativistic meson scattering amplitude is obtained and the nonperturbative form of this amplitude is discussed.
On the basis of the mechanism proposed earlier for one-spin asymmetries in inclusive hadron production we consider OZI--suppressed process of $φ$-meson production $pp\rightarrow φX$ and asymmetry $A_N(φ)$ in this process. The main role in generation of this asymmetry belongs to the orbital angular momentum of strange quark-antiquark cloud in internal structure of constituent quarks.
Short distance static quark--antiquark interaction is studied systematically using the background perturbation theory with nonperturbative background described by field correlators. A universal linear term $\frac{6N_cα_sσr}{2π}$ is observed at small distance $r$ due to the interference between perturbative and nonperturbative contributions. Possible modifications of this term due to additional subleading terms are discussed and implications for systematic corrections to OPE are formulated.
We have applied the Meson Cloud Model (MCM) to calculate the charm and strange antiquark distribution in the nucleon. The resulting distribution, in the case of charm, is very similar to the intrinsic charm momentum distribution in the nucleon. This seems to corroborate the hypothesis that the intrinsic charm is in the cloud and, at the same time, explains why other calculations with the MCM involving strange quark distributions fail in reproducing the low x region data. From the intrinsic strange distribution in the nucleon we have extracted the strangeness radius of the nucleon, which is in …
Generalized parton distributions (GPDs) are studied at the hadronic (nonperturbative) scale within different assumptions based on a relativistic constituent quark model. In particular, by means of a meson-cloud model we investigate the role of nonperturbative antiquark degrees of freedom and the valence quark contribution. A QCD evolution of the obtained GPDs is used to add perturbative effects and to investigate the GPDs' sensitivity to the nonperturbative ingredients of the calculation at larger (experimental) scale.
Within an extended chiral constituent quark formalism, we investigate contributions from all possible five-quark components in the octet baryons to the pion-baryon ($σ_{πB}$) and strangeness-baryon ($σ_{s B}$) sigma terms; $B \equiv N,~Λ,~Σ,~Ξ$. The probabilities of the quark-antiquark components in the ground-state baryon octet wave functions are calculated by taking the baryons to be admixtures of three- and five-quark components, with the relevant transitions handled {\it via} the $^{3}$P$_{0}$ mechanism. Predictions for $σ_{πB}$ and $σ_{s B}$ obtained by using input parameters taken from t…
The existing theory of hard exclusive QCD processes is based on two assumptions: (i) $factorization$ into a $hard\,block$ times light front distribution amplitudes (DA's); (ii) use of perturbative gluon exchanges within the hard block. However, unlike DIS and jet physics, the characteristic momentum transfer $Q$ involved in the factorized block is not large enough for this theory to be phenomenologically successful. In this work, we revisit the latter assumption (ii), by explicitly calculating the $instanton-induced$ contributions to the hard block, and show that they contribute substantially …
On top of its valence quarks, the full nucleon ground state may contain appreciable admixture of s-\bar{s} pairs already at small momentum transfers. This paper discusses strangeness in the mean-field type of nucleon models, and exemplifies this by explicit calculations in the MIT bag model enriched by the presence of instantons. We calculate the instanton contribution to the strangeness in the MIT bag (on top of the standard contribution to strangeness found in that model). Although we do it in an essentially perturbative way, we present a detailed derivation of the formula expressing nucleon…
We point out that the fragmentation of a strange quark into nucleons versus antinucleons is not necessarily identical $D_{p/s}(z,Q^2) \neq D_{\bar p/s}(z,Q^2)$, even though the perturbative contributions from gluon splitting and evolution are $p \leftrightarrow \bar p$ symmetric. The observation of such asymmetries in the hadronization of strange and other heavy quarks can provide insight into the nonperturbative mechanisms underlying jet fragmentation in QCD.
We propose a nonperturbative resummation scheme for the four-point connected quark-antiquark Green's function $G^4$ that shows how the Bethe-Salpeter equation may be `unquenched' with respect to quark-antiquark loops. This mechanism allows to dynamically account for hadronic meson decays and multiquark structures whilst respecting the underlying symmetries. An initial approximation to the four-point Schwinger-Dyson equation -- suitable for phenomenological application -- is examined numerically in a couple of aspects. It is demonstrated that this approximation explicitly maintains the correct …
We calculate the leading nonperturbative contributions to the effective Wilson coefficient of the four-fermion operators arising from the QCD penguin, and we demonstrate how the usual perturbative one loop contribution is augmented by nonperturbative condensates. These corrections, which are obtained by quark and gluon condensate insertions into the quark loops, enter at the next-to-leading logarithm precision. Our results indicate for the charmed quark loop that the gluon condensate contribution is quite sensitive to the momentum transfer to the quark-antiquark pair.
Most of model considerations of the hidden nucleon strangeness, as well as some preliminary experimental evidence, led to the expectations of relatively sizeable strange vector form factors of the proton. For example, it seemed that the contribution of the fluctuating strange quark-antiquark pairs accounts for as much as one tenth of the proton's magnetic moment. By the same token, baryon models which failed to produce the "vector strangeness" of the nucleon seemed disfavored. Recently, however, more accurate measurements and more sophisticated data analysis, as well as lattice simulations, re…
Leading terms of the static quark-antiquark potential in the background perturbation theory are reviewed, including perturbative, nonperturbative and interference ones. The potential is shown to describe lattice data at short quark-antiquark separations with a good accuracy.
We summarize recent results on the nonperturbative quark-gluon interaction in Landau gauge QCD. Our analytical analysis of the infrared behaviour of the quark-gluon vertex reveals infrared singularities, which lead to an infrared divergent running coupling and a linear rising quark-antiquark potential when chiral symmetry is broken. In the chirally symmetric case we find an infrared fixed point of the coupling and, correspondingly, a Coulomb potential. These findings provide a new link betwen dynamical chiral symmetry breaking and confinement.
Quantum chromodynamics (QCD) predicts the existence of both nonperturbative intrinsic and perturbative extrinsic heavy quark contributions to the fundamental structure of hadrons. The existence of intrinsic charm at the 3-standard-deviation level in the proton has recently been established from structure function measurements by the NNPDF Collaboration. Here we revisit the physics of intrinsic heavy quarks using light-front holographic QCD (LFHQCD) - a novel comprehensive approach to hadron structure which provides detailed predictions for dynamical properties of the hadrons, such as form fact…
AdS/QCD correspondence predicts the structure of quark-antiquark potential in the static limit. We use this piece of information together with the Salpeter equation (Schrödinger equation with relativistic kinematics) and a short range hyperfine splitting potential to determine quark masses and the quark potential parameters from the meson spectrum. The agreement between theory and experimental data is satisfactory provided one considers only mesons comprising at least one heavy quark. We use the same potential (in the one-gluon-exchange approximation) and these data to estimate constituent diq…
We describe the electroproduction ratios of baryon-meson states from nucleon, inferring from the sea quarks in the nucleon using an extension of the quark model that takes into account the sea. As a result we provide, with no adjustable parameters, the predictions of ratios of exclusive meson-baryon final states:$ΛK^+$, $Σ^{*}K$, $ΣK$, $pπ^0$, and $nπ^+$. These predictions are in agreement with the new Jlab experimental data showing that sea quarks play an important role in the electroproduction. We also predicted further ratios of exclusive reactions that can be measured and tested in future …
The interpretation of quark ($q$)- antiquark ($\bar q$) pairs production and the sequential string breaking as tunneling through the event horizon of colour confinement leads to a thermal hadronic spectrum with a universal Unruh temperature, $T \simeq 165$ Mev,related to the quark acceleration, $a$, by $T=a/2π$. The resulting temperature depends on the quark mass and then on the content of the produced hadrons, causing a deviation from full equilibrium and hence a suppression of strange particle production in elementary collisions. In nucleus-nucleus collisions, where the quark density is much…
The nonperturbative quantization technique à la Heisenberg is applied for non-Abelian gauge theories. The operator Yang-Mills equation is written, which on the corresponding averaging gives an infinite set of equations for all Green functions. We split all degrees of freedom into two groups: in the former, we have $A^a_μ\in \mathcal G \subset SU(N)$, and in the second group we have coset degrees of freedom $SU(N) / \mathcal G$. Using such splitting and some assumptions about 2- and 4-point Green functions, we truncate the infinite set of equations to two equations. The first equation is for th…

We calculate the instanton contribution to the proton strangeness in the MIT bag enriched by the presence of a dilute instanton liquid. The evaluation is based on expressing the nucleon matrix elements of bilinear strange quark operators in terms of a model valence nucleon state and interactions producing quark-antiquark fluctuations on top of that valence state. Our method combines the usage of the evolution operator containing a strangeness source, and the Feynman-Hellmann theorem. It enables one to evaluate the strangeness in different Lorentz channels in, essentially, the same way. Only th…
Model studies play an important role for the understanding and elucidation of the nonperturbative properties of transverse momentum dependent parton distribution functions (TMDs). The parton model is often a helpful framework and starting point for first explorations of TMD properties and the description of deep-inelastic processes in which TMDs can be accessed. Based on a systematic exploration of the parton model concept, we reconcile the claims in literature that there are 2 independent structures in the quark correlator in the parton model vs the claim that there are 3, and explain the und…
In some models, exotic baryons with strangeness and anticharm or antibeauty should exist and even be stable against strong decay. We consider the stability of such possible exotic baryons, which in the constituent quark picture are called pentaquarks (each is composed of four quarks and an antiquark). Our model is based on diquark clustering and supersymmetry in hadrons, and assumes that the spin-dependent force between quarks arises from one-gluon exchange. In the model, a pentaquark with strangeness and anticharm can decay strongly, but an analogous pentaquark with an antibeauty quark is sta…
The effects of SU(3) symmetry breaking and configuration mixing have been investigated for the weak vector and axial-vector form factors in the chiral constituent quark model (χCQM) for the strangeness changing as well as strangeness conserving semi-leptonic octet baryon decays in the nonperturbative regime. The results are in good agreement with existing experimental data and also show improvement over other phenomenological models.
According to QCD, there exists a broken dynamical supersymmetry between an antiquark and a diquark. This supersymmetry can be used to relate the mass of a pentaquark to the mass of an antibaryon by replacing two antiquarks in an antibaryon by two diquarks to form a pentaquark. Using this technique, we find that the mass of an exotic pentaquark with strangeness plus 1 is greater than 1.74 GeV, or at least 200 MeV larger than that of the reported $Θ^+$ pentaquark. Furthermore, there is no reason for the pentaquark to be narrow; on the contrary, it is expected to be so broad that it will be diffi…
We review our recent results \cite{bsult} on the derivation of a B-S equation in QCD in a Wilson loop context. We work in a second order formalism, use the Feynman--Schwinger path integral representation for a quark in external field and obtain a similar expression for a quark--antiquark amplitude in which the gauge fields appears only through the Wilson loop integral $W$. A $ q \bar{q}$ B-S equation is obtained starting from this expression under the assumption, already used in the derivation of heavy quark potential, that $i \ln W$ can be expressed as the sum of a perturbative contribution a…
Generalized parton distributions (GPDs) are studied at the hadronic (nonperturbative) scale within different assumptions based on a relativistic constituent quark model.
Starting from the QCD Lagrangian and taking into account both perturbative and nonperturbative effects, we use the method of vacuum correlators to derive the Dirac equation (rigorously for the Coulomb interaction and heuristically for the confining potential) for a system consisting of a light quark and heavy antiquark. As a result the confining potential is a Lorentz scalar, and the Coulomb part the fourth component of a 4-vector. The energy spectrum of the Dirac equation is considered for these potentials. Numerical calculations of energy eigenvalues $E=E_{nκ}$ are performed, and some exact …
The interaction kernel in the Bethe-Salpeter equation for quark-antiquark bound states is derived from the Bethe-Salpeter equations satisfied by the quark-antiquark four-point Green's function. The latter equations are established based on the equations of motion obeyed by the quark and antiquark propagators, the four-point Green's function and some other kinds of Green's functions which follow directly from the QCD generating functional. The B-S kernel derived is given an exact and explicit expression which contains only a few types of Green's functions. This expression is not only convenient…
We propose a simple model of production of strange baryons and antibaryons in nuclear collisions at the CERN SPS. The model takes into account both the increase of strangeness production in collisions of lighter ions and a possibility of the formation of anomalous, strangeness rich matter in central PbPb interactions. It is shown that ratios like $<Ω>:<Ξ>:<Λ>$ depend strongly on the presence of anomalous matter and can be used to determine its phenomenological parameters. In the model we assume that particle composition of final state hadrons is essentially given by a rapid recombination of qu…
We review studies of inelastic meson-meson scattering. In nonperturbative schemes with chiral-perturbation-theory Lagrangians and in models based on effective meson Lagrangians, inelastic meson-meson scattering leads to the successful identification of resonances in meson-meson reactions, adequate inclusion of final state interactions in particle decays, and so on. For mesons of which each consists of a quark and an antiquark, inelastic meson-meson scattering may be caused by quark-antiquark annihilation, quark-antiquark creation, quark interchange, and quark-antiquark annihilation and creatio…
The spectrum of B and D mesons (including the low lying orbitally and radially excited states) is calculated using the quark-antiquark Hamiltonian derived from QCD in the einbein field formalism. Spin-spin and spin-orbit terms due to the confinement and OGE interactions are taken into account as perturbations. Results for the masses and splittings are confronted to the experimental and recent lattice data and are demonstrated to be in a reasonable agreement with both. We find that the orbital excitations with l=2 and l=3 for D meson lie approximately in the same region as its first radial exci…
In this article, we study the scalar-diquark-scalar-diquark-antiquark type $udsc\bar{c}$ pentaquark state with the QCD sum rules, the predicted mass $M_P=4.47\pm0.11\,\rm{GeV}$ is in excellent agreement with the experimental data $ 4458.8 \pm 2.9 {}^{+4.7}_{-1.1} \mbox{ MeV}$ from the LHCb collaboration, and supports assigning the $P_{cs}(4459)$ to be the hidden-charm pentaquark state with the spin-parity $J^P={\frac{1}{2}}^-$. We take into account the flavor $SU(3)$ mass-breaking effect, and estimate the mass spectrum of the diquark-diquark-antiquark type $udsc\bar{c}$ pentaquark states with …
We discuss a nonperturbative mechanism for one-spin asymmetries in inclusive hadron production. The main role in generation of this asymmetry belongs to the orbital angular momentum of quark-antiquark cloud in internal structure of constituent quarks.
We estimate the intrinsic charm contributions to the quark flavor and spin observables of the nucleon in the SU(4) quark meson fluctuation model. In this model, the charm or anticharm reside in the charmed mesons created by the nonperturbative quantum quark-meson fluctuations. The intrinsic charm content in the proton, $2\bar c/\sum(q+\bar q) \simeq 0.011\pm 0.008$, is almost one order of magnitude smaller than the intrinsic strange content. The intrinsic charm helicity is also small and negative, $Δc\simeq -(0.009\pm 0.006)$. The fraction of the total quark helicity carried by the charm is $|…
The thermal multihadron production observed in different high energy collisions poses many basic problems: why do even elementary, $e^+e^-$ and hadron-hadron, collisions show thermal behaviour? Why is there in such interactions a suppression of strange particle production? Why does the strangeness suppression almost disappear in relativistic heavy ion collisions? Why in these collisions is the thermalization time less than $\simeq 0.5$ fm/c? We show that the recently proposed mechanism of thermal hadron production through Hawking-Unruh radiation can naturally answer the previous questions. Ind…
Recently, an instantaneous approximation to the Bethe-Salpeter formalism for the analysis of bound states in quantum field theory has been proposed which retains, in contrast to the Salpeter equation, as far as possible the exact propagators of the bound-state constituents, extracted nonperturbatively from Dyson-Schwinger equations or lattice gauge theory. The implications of this improvement for the solutions of this bound-state equation, that is, the spectrum of the mass eigenvalues of its bound states and the corresponding wave functions, when considering the quark propagators arising in qu…
The dynamics of the strangeness-exchange reactions antiproton-proton to AntiLambda-Lambda, AntiLambda-Sigma or AntiSigma-Sigma is discussed, either at the hadron level, in terms of strange-meson exchange, or at the quark level, in terms of quark--antiquark creation or annihilation.
The four-dimensional Dirac-Schrödinger equation satisfied by quark-antiquark bound states is derived from Quantum Chromodynamics. Different from the Bethe-Salpeter equation, the equation derived is a kind of first-order differential equations of Schrödinger-type in the position space. Especially, the interaction kernel in the equation is given by two different closed expressions. One expression which contains only a few types of Green's functions is derived with the aid of the equations of motion satisfied by some kinds of Green's functions. Another expression which is represented in terms of …
The Parton-Hadron-String Dynamics (PHSD) transport approach consistently simulates the full evolution of a relativistic heavy-ion collision from the initial hard scatterings string formation through the dynamical deconfinement phase transition to the quark gluon plasma (QGP), to the hadronization and to subsequent interactions in the hadronic phase. The transport theoretical description of quarks and gluons is based on a dynamical quasiparticle model for partons matched to reproduce recent lattice QCD results in thermodynamic equilibrium. The transition from partonic to hadronic degrees of fre…
This is the second of two papers in which we study real and virtual photon-proton scattering in a nonperturbative framework. In the first paper we have identified the leading contributions to this process at high energies and have derived expressions for them which take into account the renormalisation of the photon-quark-antiquark vertex. In the present paper we investigate the approximations and assumptions that are necessary to obtain the dipole model of high energy scattering from the results derived in the first paper. We discuss the gauge invariance of different contributions to the scat…
The effective strange quark and antiquark masses are estimated from the chiral soliton approach (CSA) results for the spectrum of exotic and nonexotic baryons. There are problems when one tries to project results of the CSA on the simple quark models (QM): the parameter in $1/N_c$ expansion is so large for the case of the baryon spectrum that extrapolation to the real $N_c=3$ world is not possible; rigid (as well soft) rotator model and the bound state model coincide in the first two orders in $1/N_c$, but differ in the next orders. There is correspondence of the CSA and simple QM predictions …
We study the spin splitting in the heavy quarkonium hybrid spectrum within the framework of an nonrelativistic effective field theory. We derive for the first time the spin-dependent part of the heavy-quark-antiquark potential for heavy quarkonium hybrids to order $1/m^2$ in the heavy-quark-mass expansion. We find that several operators that are not found in standard quarkonia appear, most remarkably an operator suppressed by only one power of the heavy-quark mass. By matching the weakly-coupled pNRQCD to the effective field theory in the regime of short heavy-quark-antiquark distances, we wor…
Background: Unravelling the role played by nonvalence flavors in baryons is crucial in deepening our comprehension of QCD. Strange quark, a component of the higher Fock states in baryons, is an appropriate tool to investigate nonperturbative mechanisms generated by the pure sea quark. Purpose: Study the magnitude and the sign of the strangeness magnetic moment $μ_s$ and the magnetic form factor ($G_M^s$) of the proton. Methods: Within an extended chiral constituent quark model, we investigate contributions from all possible five-quark components to $μ_s$ and $G_M^s (Q^2)$ in the four-vector mo…
The annihilation of heavy particles close to thermal equilibrium, which plays a prominent role in the chemical equilibration of heavy quarks in the Quark-Gluon Plasma (QGP) as well as in many classic dark matter scenarios, is reexamined. We derive a scattering amplitude that resums near-threshold attractive interaction of the annihilating particles in terms of the non-relativistic scattering $T$-matrix and Green's function, thereby capturing the pertinent Sommerfeld enhancement from both nonperturbative scattering state and bound state solutions. The derived formula is of such generality that …
In this review we will concentrate on the nonperturbative effects in the properties of hadrons made from the light-heavy and heavy-heavy quarks in the framework of Instanton Liquid Model (ILM) of QCD vacuum. We briefly discuss the main features of ILM and its applicability in the heavy quark sector. The properties of gluonic systems, light and heavy quark correlators in the instanton background are also analyzed. Consideration of the both, perturbative and nonperturbative, gluon effects in the instanton background for the single heavy quark will lead to the mass shift due to the direct-instant…
We discuss various ideas on the nonperturbative vacuum structure in QCD. The stochastic vacuum model of Dosch and Simonov is presented in some detail. We show how this model produces confinement. The model incorporates the idea of the QCD vacuum acting like a dual superconductor due to an effective chromomagnetic monopole condensate. We turn then to high energy, small momentum transfer hadron-hadron scattering. A field-theoretic formalism to treat these reactions is developed, where the basic quantities governing the scattering amplitudes are correlation functions of light-like Wegner-Wilson l…
We analyze the static potential of a quark-antiquark pair at $T\,\geq\,T_c$, where $T_c$ is a temperature of a deconfinement phase transition in QCD. We discuss the possibility that the non-perturbative part of this potential can be studied through the modification of the correlation functions, which define the quadratic field correlators of the nonperturbative vaccuum fields. We use the non-perturbative quark-antiquark potential derived in this way and the screened one-gluon-exchange potential with $T$-dependent Debye screening mass to calculate $J/ψ$, $Υ$ and $Ω_{bbb}$ binding energies and m…
We demonstrate that a nonzero strangeness contribution to the spacelike electromagnetic form factor of the nucleon is evidence for a strange-antistrange asymmetry in the nucleon's light-front wave function, thus implying different nonperturbative contributions to the strange and antistrange quark distribution functions. A recent lattice QCD calculation of the nucleon strange quark form factor predicts that the strange quark distribution is more centralized in coordinate space than the antistrange quark distribution, and thus the strange quark distribution is more spread out in light-front mome…
Inconsistency between rigid rotator and bound state models at arbitrary number of colors, rigid rotator -- soft rotator dilemma and some other problems of baryon spectroscopy are discussed in the framework of the chiral soliton approach (CSA). Consequences of the comparison of CSA results with simple quark models are considered and the $1/N_c$ expansion for the effective strange antiquark mass is presented, as it follows from the CSA. Strong dependence of the effective strange antiquark mass on the SU(3) multiplet is required to fit the CSA predictions. The difference of `good' and `bad' diqua…
A recently developed model for the QCD analytic invariant charge is compared with quenched lattice simulation data on the static quark-antiquark potential. By employing this strong running coupling one is able to obtain the confining quark-antiquark potential in the framework of the one-gluon exchange model. To achieve this objective a technique for evaluating the integrals of a required form is developed. Special attention is paid here to removing the divergences encountered the calculations. All this enables one to examine the asymptotic behavior of the potential at both small and large dist…
The amplitudes of $π$-meson decays are calculated in a relativistic nonperturbative quark model which assumes that mesons are made of a quark antiquark pair and of a scalar neutral component representing the contribution of the nonelementary fluctuations of the quark gluonic field. The experimental data can be fitted in a satisfactory manner using current quark masses $m_u\approx1.5\ MeV, m_d\approx9\ MeV$.
The assumption that the production of quark-antiquark pairs and their sequential string-breaking taking place through the event horizon of the color confinement determines freezeout temperature and gives a plausible interpretation of the thermal pattern of pp and AA collisions. When relating the black-hole electric charges to the baryon-chemical potentials it was found that the phenomenologically-deduced parameters from various particle ratios in the statistical thermal models agree well with the ones determined from the thermal radiation from charged black-hole. Accordingly, the resulting fre…
A brief review on some recent progresses in our understanding of multi-quark components in baryons is presented. The multi-quark components in baryons seem to be mainly in colored quark cluster configurations rather than in ``meson cloud'' configurations or in the form of a sea of quark-antiquark pairs. The colored quark cluster multi-quark picture gives a natural explanation of empirical indications for a positive strangeness magnetic moment $μ_s$ of the proton and the longstanding mass-reverse problem of S11(1535) and $P11(1440) N* resonances. A model-prediction for the $μ_s$ of the proton i…
