Let $f(z)=\sum_{n=1}^{\infty}a(n) e^{2πi nz}$ be a normalized Hecke eigenform in $S_{2k}^{\text{new}}(Γ_0(N))$ with integer Fourier coefficients. We prove that there exists a constant $C(f)>0$ such that any integer is a sum of at most $C(f)$ coefficients $a(n) $. It holds $C(f)\ll_{\varepsilon,k}N^{\frac{6k-3}{16}+\varepsilon}$.
We study the rational Bianchi newforms (weight 2, trivial character, with rational Hecke eigenvalues) in the LMFDB that are not associated to elliptic curves, but instead to abelian surfaces with quaternionic multiplication. Two of these examples exhibit a rather special kind of behaviour: we show they arise from twisted base change of a classical newform with nebentypus character of order 4 and eight inner twists.
设$f(z)=\sum_{n=1}^\infty λ_f(n)e^{2πi n z}\in S_{k}^{new}(Γ_0(N))$是$Γ_0(N)$上的偶数权$k\geq2$的归一化Hecke本征形,无需复数乘法。令$\mathbb{P}$表示所有素数的集合。证明了序列$\{λ_f(p)\}_{p\in\mathbb{P}}$在任何基$b\geq2$上都不满足Benford定律.然而,给定基$b\geq2$和基$b$中的数字串$S$,集合\[ A_{λ_f}(b,S):=\{\text{$p$ prime : the first digits of $λ_f(p)$ in base $b$ are given by $S$}\} \]具有等于$\log_b(1+S^{-1})$的对数密度。因此,$\{λ_f(p)\}_{p\in\mathbb{P}}$在对数密度方面遵循本福德定律。这两个结果都依赖于现已证明的Sato-Tate猜想。
Let $F/E$ be a Galois extension of totally real number fields, with Galois group $\mathrm{Gal}(F/E)$. Let $\mathfrak{N}$ be an integral ideal which is $\mathrm{Gal}(F/E)$-invariant, and $k \ge 2$ an integer. In this note, we study the action of $\mathrm{Gal}(F/E)$ on the Hecke orbits of Hilbert newforms of level $\mathfrak{N}$ and weight $k$. We also discuss the geometric counterpart to this action, which is closely related to the notion of abelian varieties potentially of $\mathrm{GL}_2$-type. The two actions have some consequences in relation with Langlands Functoriality. We conclude with an…
We prove a bound for the Fourier coefficients of a cusp form of integral weight which is not a newform by computing an explicit orthogonal basis for the space of cusp forms of given integral weight and level. In contrast to previous work on special cases of this problem we use elementary methods for the computation of Petersson products and avoid using the Rankin $L$-function.
Let $\ell \geq 5$ be a prime and let $N$ be a square-free integer prime to $\ell$. For each prime $p$ dividing $N$, let $a_p$ be either $1$ or $-1$. We give sufficient criteria for the existence of a newform $f$ of weight 2 for $Γ_0(N)$ such that the mod $\ell$ Galois representation attached to $f$ is reducible and $U_p f = a_p f$ for primes $p$ dividing $N$. The main techniques used are level raising methods based on an exact sequence due to Ribet.
The concept of additive basis has been investigated in the literature for several mathematicians which works with number theorem. Recently, the concept of finitely stable additive basis was introduced. In this note we provide a counterexample of the reciprocal of Theorem 2.2 shown in [Ferreira, L.A.: Finite Stable Additive Basis; Bull. Aust. Math. Soc.]. The idea of the construction of such a counterexample can possibly help the process of finding additive bases of some specific order.
We prove that finite sets of real numbers satisfying $|AA| \leq |A|^{1+ε}$ with sufficiently small $ε> 0$ cannot have small additive bases nor can they be written as a set of sums $B+C$ with $|B|, |C| \geq 2$. The result can be seen as a real analog of the conjecture of Sárközy that multiplicative subgroups of finite fields of prime order are additively irreducible.
A set of non-negative integers A is an additive 2-basis with range n, if its sumset A+A contains 0, 1, ..., n but not n+1. Explicit bases are known with arbitrarily large size |A|=k and $n/k^2 \ge 2/7 > 0.2857$. We present a more general construction and improve the lower bound to $85/294 > 0.2891$.
Let $E$ be a rational elliptic curve, and $K$ be an imaginary quadratic field. In this article we give a method to construct Heegner points when $E$ has a prime bigger than $3$ of additive reduction ramifying in the field $K$. The ideas apply to more general contexts, like constructing Darmon points attached to real quadratic fields which is presented in the appendix.
Let $b$ be a numeration base. A $b$-additive Ramanujan-Hardy number $N$ is an integer for which there exists at least an integer $M$, called additive multiplier, such that the product of $M$ and the sum of base $b$ digits of $N$, added to the reversal of the product, gives $N$. We show that for any $b$ there exists an infinity of $b$-additive Ramanujan-Hardy numbers and an infinity of additive multipliers. A $b$-multiplicative Ramanujan-Hardy number $N$ is an integer for which there exists at least an integer $M$, called multiplicative multiplier, such that the product of $M$ and the sum of ba…
In [10] the third author of this paper presented two conjectures on the additive decomposability of the sequence of ''smooth'' (or ''friable'') numbers. Elsholtz and Harper [4] proved (by using sieve methods) the second (less demanding) conjecture. The goal of this paper is to extend and sharpen their result in three directions by using a different approach (based on the theory of $S$-unit equations).
我们研究s(k,n),A+A的最大尺寸,其中A是[n]的k-子集。
We study a generalization of additive bases into a planar setting. A planar additive basis is a set of non-negative integer pairs whose vector sumset covers a given rectangle. Such bases find applications in active sensor arrays used in, for example, radar and medical imaging. The problem of minimizing the basis cardinality has not been addressed before. We propose two algorithms for finding the minimal bases of small rectangles: one in the setting where the basis elements can be anywhere in the rectangle, and another in the restricted setting, where the elements are confined to the lower left…
