We will establish uniqueness of solutions to boundary value problems involving the nabla Caputo fractional difference under two-point boundary conditions and give an explicit expression for the Green's functions for these problems. Using the Green's functions for specific cases of these boundary value problems, we will then develop Lyapunov inequalities for certain nabla Caputo BVPs.

In this paper we develop the theory of initial and boundary value problems for the self-adjoint nabla fractional difference equation containing a Caputo fractional nabla difference that is given by \[ \nabla[p(t+1)\nabla_{a*}^νx(t+1)] + q(t)x(t) = h(t), \] where $0 < ν\leq 1$. Recently, some authors have proved monotonicity results for delta and nabla fractional differences separately. In this article, we use dual identities relating delta and nabla fractional difference operators to prove shortly the monotonicity properties for the (left Riemann) nabla fractional differences using the corresponding delta type properties. Also, we proved some monotonicity properties for the Caputo fractional differences. Finally, we use the $Q-$operator dual identities to prove monotonicity results for the right fractional difference operators.
We review some recent results of the fractional variational calculus. Necessary optimality conditions of Euler-Lagrange type for functionals with a Lagrangian containing left and right Caputo derivatives are given. A discrete version of the symmetric duality of Caputo-Torres, to relate left and right Riemann-Liouville and Caputo fractional differences, is considered. As a corollary, we provide an evidence to the fact that in case of right fractional differences, one has to mix between nabla and delta operators. Using the Mountain Pass Theorem, we establish the existence of periodic solution for Euler-Lagrange equation. Lagrangian consists of kinetic part (an anisotropic G-function), potential part $K-W$ and a forcing term. We consider two situations: $G$ satisfying $Δ_2\cap\nabla_2$ in infinity and globally.
