We present a systematic study of higher-twist distribution amplitudes (DAs) of the B-meson which give rise to power-suppressed $1/m_B$ contributions to B-decays in final states with energetic light particles in the framework of QCD factorization. As the main result, we find that the renormalization group equations for the three-particle distributions are completely integrable in the large $N_c$ limit and can be solved exactly. General properties of the solutions are studied. We propose simple models for higher-twist DAs which satify all existing constraints and can be used in phenomenological studies.
We focus on the chiral and heavy quark mass expansion of mesons masses and decay constants. We propose a light-front QCD formalism for the evaluation of these quantities, consistent with chiral perturbation theory and heavy quark effective theory.
We studied $F$-wave bottom mesons in heavy quark effective theory. The available experimental and theoretical data is used to calculate the masses of $F$-wave bottom mesons. The decay widths of bottom mesons are analyzed to find upper bounds of the associated couplings. We also construct Regge trajectories for our predicted data in planes ($J$, $M^2$ ) and our results nicely fit on Regge lines. Our results may provide a crucial information for upcoming experimental studies.
In the framework of the heavy quark effective theory, the leading order Isgur-Wise functions relevant to semileptonic decays of the orbitally $P$-wave excited $B_{s}$ meson states $B^{**}_{s}$, including the newly found narrow $B_{s1}(5830)$ and $B^{*}_{s2}(5840)$ states, into the ($D_{s1}(2536)$, $D^{*}_{s2}(2573)$) doublet are calculated from QCD sum rules. With these universal form factors, the decay rates and branching ratios are also estimated.
The $B$-meson light-cone distribution amplitude (LCDA) is defined as the matrix element of a quark-antiquark bilocal light-cone operator in the heavy-quark effective theory (HQET) and is a building block of QCD factorization formula for exclusive $B$-meson decays. When the corresponding bilocal HQET operator has a light-like distance $t$ between the quark and antiquark fields, the scale $\sim 1/t$ separates the UV and IR regions, which induce the cusp singularity in radiative corrections and the mixing of multiparticle states in nonperturbative corrections, respectively. We treat the bilocal H…
The light-cone distribution amplitude (LCDA) of a heavy-light meson defined in heavy quark effective theory (HQET), is a fundamental nonperturbative input to account for innumerable $B$ meson exclusive decay and production processes. On the other hand, the conventional heavy-flavored meson LCDA defined in QCD, also ubiquitously enters the factorization formula for hard exclusive $B$ production processes. Inspired by the observation that these two LCDAs exhibit the identical infrared behaviors, yet differ in the ultraviolet scale of order $m_b$ or greater, we propose a novel factorization theor…
We provide the definition of the complete set of light-cone distribution amplitudes (LCDAs) for the ground state heavy bottom baryons with the spin-parities J^P = 1/2^+ and J^P = 3/2^+ in the heavy quark limit. We present the renormalization effects on the twist-2 light-cone distribution amplitudes and use the QCD sum rules to compute the moments of twist-2, twist-3, and twist-4 LCDAs. Simple models for the heavy baryon distribution amplitudes are analyzed with account of their scale dependence.

Analogous to NRQCD factorization for heavy quarkonium exclusive production, in this work we propose to employ the heavy-quark-effective-theory (HQET) factorization, which has been predominantly applied to account for exclusive $B$ decays, to study the exclusive production of the heavy-flavored mesons. We take $W\to B(D_s)+γ$ as a prototype process. The validity of the HQET factorization rests upon the presumed scale hierarchy: $m_W\sim m_b\gg Λ_{\rm QCD}$. Through an explicit analysis at next-to-leading order in $α_s$ yet at leading order in $1/m_b$, we verify that the decay form factors can i…
We present an analysis of semileptonic decays of orbitally, $P$-wave excited $B_{s}$ meson states $B^{**}_{s}$, including the newly found narrow $B_{s1}(5830)$ and $B^{*}_{s2}(5840)$ states, into low lying $D_{s}$ mesons ($D_{s}(1968)$, $D^{*}_{s}(2112)$, $D_{sJ}(2317)$, $D_{sJ}(2460)$) within the framework of heavy quark effective theory. The relevant universal form factors are estimated using QCD sum rules at the leading-order of the heavy quark expansion. The decay widths are predicted and the branching ratios are estimated.
We present a computation of B-meson decay constants from lattice QCD simulations within the framework of Heavy Quark Effective Theory for the b-quark. The next-to-leading order corrections in the HQET expansion are included non-perturbatively. Based on Nf=2 gauge field ensembles, covering three lattice spacings a (0.08-0.05)fm and pion masses down to 190MeV, a variational method for extracting hadronic matrix elements is used to keep systematic errors under control. In addition we perform a careful autocorrelation analysis in the extrapolation to the continuum and to the physical pion mass lim…
Recently LHCb predicted spin 1 and spin 3 states D* s1(2860) and D* s3(2860) which are studied through their strong decays, and are assigned to fit the 13D1and 13D3 states in the charm spectroscopy. In this paper, using the heavy quark effective theory, we state that assigning D*s1(2860) as the mixing of 13D1 - 23S1 states, is rather a better justification to its observed experimental values than a pure state. We study its decay modes variation with hadronic coupling constant gxh and the mixing angle . We appoint spin 3 state D* s3(2860) as the missing 1D 3- JP state, and also study its decay c…
We present a study of the B spectrum performed in the framework of Heavy Quark Effective Theory expanded to next-to-leading order in 1/m and non-perturbative in the strong coupling. Our analyses have been performed on Nf=2 lattice gauge field ensembles corresponding to three different lattice spacings and a wide range of pion masses. We obtain the Bs-meson mass and hyperfine splittings of the B- and Bs-mesons that are in good agreement with the experimental values and examine the mass difference m_{Bs}-m_B as a further cross-check of our previous estimate of the b-quark mass. We also report on…
We report on the status of an ALPHA Collaboration project to extract quantities for B physics phenomenology from Nf=2 lattice simulations. The framework is Heavy Quark Effective Theory (HQET) expanded up to the first order of the inverse b-quark mass. The couplings of the effective theory are determined by imposing matching conditions of observables computed in HQET with their counterpart computed in QCD. That program, based on Nf=2 simulations in a small physical volume with SF boundary conditions, is now almost finished. On the other side the analysis of configurations selected from the CLS …
A new method for the model-independent determination of the light-cone distribution amplitude (LCDA) of the $B$-meson in heavy quark effective theory (HQET) is proposed by combining the large momentum effective theory (LaMET) and the numerical simulation technique on the Euclidean lattice. We demonstrate the autonomous scale dependence of the non-local quasi-HQET operator with the aid of the auxiliary field approach, and further determine the perturbative matching coefficient entering the hard-collinear factorization formula for the $B$-meson quasi-distribution amplitude at the one-loop accura…
Within the framework of large momentum effective theory (LaMET), the light-cone distribution amplitude of $B$-meson in heavy-quark effective theory (HQET) can be extracted from lattice calculations of quasidistribution amplitude through hard-collinear factorization formula. This quasiquantity can be renormalized in a regularization-independent momentum subtraction scheme (RI/MOM). In this work, we derive the matching coefficient which connects the renormalized quasiditribution amplitude in the RI/MOM scheme and standard LCDA in the $\overline{\textrm{MS}}$ scheme at one-loop accuracy. Our nume…
