We suppose the base space $G/K$ is isotropy irreducible and the fiber $K/L$ is simply connected. We investigate the existence of $G$-invariant Einstein metrics on $G/L$ such that the natural projection onto $G/K$ is a Riemannian submersion with totally geodesic fibers. Normal Factorization in $SL(2,Z)$ and the Confluence of Singular Fibers in Elliptic Fibrations

In this article we obtain a result about the uniqueness of factorization in terms of conjugates of the matrix $U=(\xymatrix{1 & 1 0 & 1})$, of some matrices representing the conjugacy classes of those elements of $SL(2,Z)$ arising as the monodromy around a singular fiber in an elliptic fibration (i.e. those matrices that appear in Kodaira's list).

On fibrations with formal elliptic fibers

We prove that for a fibration of simply-connected spaces of finite type $F\hookrightarrow E\to B$ with $F$ being positively elliptic and $H^*(F,\qq)$ not possessing non-trivial derivations of negative degree, the base $B$ is formal if and only if the total space $E$ is formal. Moreover, in this case the fibration map is a formal map. As a geometric application we show that positive quaternion Kähler manifolds are formal and so are their associated twistor fibration maps.

We describe pairs (p,n) such that n-dimensional affine space is fibered by pairwise skew p-dimensional affine subspaces. The problem is closely related with the theorem of Adams on vector fields on spheres and the Hurwitz-Radon theory of composition of quadratic forms.

Complete Ricci flat Torus fibrations over ALE spaces

We investigate complete noncompact Ricci-flat manifolds which are not of maximal volume growth. We show that the manifolds with a curvature decay condition and a holonomy decay condition are asymptotic to torus fibrations over ALE spaces. In particular, we classify complete noncompact 4-dimensional hyperkäler manifolds by the volume growth. As an application, we give the uniqueness of tangent cones of collapsing manifolds with some conditions.

Triviality of fibered Calabi-Yau manifolds without singular fibers

In this note we show that if a compact Kahler manifold with trivial canonical bundle is the total space of a holomorphic fibration without singular fibers, then the fibration is a holomorphic fiber bundle. In the algebraic case, the fibration becomes trivial after a finite base change.

Complex length of short curves and Minimal Fibration in hyperbolic $3$-Manifolds fibering over the circle

We investigate the maximal solid tubes around short simple geodesics in hyperbolic three-manifolds and how complex length of curves relate to closed, incompressible, least area minimal surfaces. As applications, we prove, there are some closed hyperbolic three-manifolds fibering over the circle which are not foliated by closed incompressible minimal surfaces diffeomorphic to the fiber. Positivity of direct images of fiberwise Ricci-flat metrics on Calabi-Yau fibrations

Let $X$ be a Kähler manifold which is fibered over a complex manifold $Y$ such that every fiber is a Calabi-Yau manifold. Let $ω$ be a fixed Kähler form on $X$. By Yau's theorem, there exists a unique Ricci-flat Kähler form $ρ\vert_{X_y}$ for each fiber, which is cohomologous to $ω\vert_{X_y}$. This family of Ricci-flat Kähler forms $ρ\vert_{X_y}$ induces a smooth $(1,1)$-form $ρ$ on $X$ with a normalization condition. On polarization types of Lagrangian fibrations

The generic fiber of a Lagrangian fibration on an irreducible holomorphic symplectic manifold is an abelian variety. Associate a polarization type to such Lagrangian fibrations coming from polarizations on a generic fiber. We prove that this polarization type is constant in families of Lagrangian fibrations. Further, we determine the polarization type of K3^[n]-type fibrations and conjecture that the polarization type should only depend on the deformation type of the total space.

Torus fibrations and localization of index I

We define a local Riemann-Roch number for an open symplectic manifold when a complete integrable system without Bohr-Sommerfeld fiber is provided on its end. In particular when a structure of a singular Lagrangian fibration is given on a closed symplectic manifold, its Riemann-Roch number is described as the sum of the number of nonsingular Bohr-Sommerfeld fibers and a contribution of the singular fibers. A key step of the proof is formally explained as a version of Witten's deformation applied to a Hilbert bundle.

Equivalence Problem for Second Order Partially Differential Equations and Double Fibration as a Flat Model Space

In this paper, we consider an equivalence problem of second order partially differential equations (PDE) and a duality of the flat differential equation. For the equivalence problem, explicit form of invariants (curvatures) are given. We also investigate a duality associated with the flat equation using double fibrations. These double fibrations are described in terms of transformation groups.

Constraints on Lefschetz fibrations with four-dimensional fibers from Seiberg-Witten theory

We establish constraints on the topology of smooth Lefschetz fibrations with $4$-dimensional fibers, by studying the family Bauer-Furuta invariant. To compute this invariant, we analyze the framed bordism class of 1-dimensional Seiberg-Witten moduli spaces using the local index theorem by Bismut-Freed.
