In the present work a generalization of the BTZ black hole is studied, for the case of scale dependent couplings. One starts by using the effective action for scale dependence couplings to get a generalization of the Einstein field equations. Self consistent solutions for lapse function, cosmological coupling and Newtons coupling are found. The effect of scale dependent couplings with respect to the classical solution is shown. Moreover, asymptotic behavior as well as thermodynamic properties were investigated. Finally, an alternative way to get the scale dependent Newton coupling, from the so-called "Null Energy Condition" is presented.
This work presents a generalization of the rotating black hole in two plus one dimensions, in the light of scale--dependent gravitational couplings. In particular, the gravitational coupling $κ_0$ and the cosmological term $Λ_0$ are not forced to be constants anymore. Instead, $κ$ and $Λ$ are allowed to change along the radial scale $r$. The effective Einstein field equations of this problem are solved by assuming static rotational symmetry and by maintaining the usual structure of the line element. For this generalized solution, the asymptotic behavior, the horizon structure, and the thermody…
In the present work, we investigate the consequences of running gravitational coupling on the properties of the three-dimensional BTZ black hole. We take as starting point the functional form of gravitational coupling obtained in the context of asymptotic safe gravity theory. By using the standard scale setting relation where $k\sim ξ/r^n$, we compute the solution of the Einstein field equations. We get and analyze the horizon and the thermodynamic properties of this new class of black hole solutions. The impact of the scale--dependent parameter $ξ$ on the cosmological "constant" and metric fu…
We study for the first time the stability against scalar perturbations, and we compute the spectrum of quasinormal modes of three-dimensional charged black holes in Einstein-power-Maxwell non-linear electrodynamics assuming running couplings. Adopting the 6th order WKB approximation we investigate how the running of the couplings change the spectrum of the classical theory. Our results show that all modes corresponding to non-vanishing angular momentum are unstable both in the classical theory and with the running of the couplings, while the fundamental mode can be stable or unstable depending…
We show that a CP-violating interaction induced by a derivative coupling between the running vacuum and a non-conserving baryon current may dynamically break CPT and trigger baryogenesis through an effective chemical potential. By assuming a non-singular class of running vacuum cosmologies which provides a complete cosmic history (from an early inflationary de Sitter stage to the present day quasi-de Sitter acceleration), it is found that an acceptable baryon asymmetry is generated for many different choices of the model parameters. It is interesting that the same ingredient (running vacuum en…
Using the imaginary time formalism in thermal field theory, we derive running coupling constant and running mass in two loop order. In the process, we express the imaginary time formalism of Feynman diagrams as the summation of non-thermal quantum field theory (QFT) Feynman diagrams with coefficients that depend on temperature and mass. Renormalization constants for thermal $ϕ^4$ theory were derived using simple diagrammatic analysis. Our model links the non-thermal QFT and the imaginary time formalism by assuming both have the same mass scale $μ$ and coupling constant $g$. When these results …
In the present work, we study for the first time a scale--dependent gravitational theory in a cosmological context in a matter--dominated era. In particular, starting from the Einstein Hilbert action with cosmological constant assuming scale--dependent couplings, we derive the corresponding effective Friedmann equations for the model and we solve them. We analyse in detail our results by comparing them with observational $Λ$CDM data as well as the very well-known running vacuum models. Finally, we have provided, in figures, the evolution of the Hubble parameter respect to the redshift as well …
