Koszul and homogeneous Koszul algebras were defined by Priddy in \cite{Priddy1970}. There exist some relations between these algebras and the skew PBW extensions introduced in \cite{LezamaGallego}. In this paper we give conditions to guarantee that skew PBW extensions over fields are Koszul or homogeneous Koszul. We also show that a constant skew PBW extension of a field is a PBW deformation of its homogeneous version.
We establish necessary or sufficient conditions to guarantee that skew Poincaré-Birkhoff-Witt extensions are NI or NJ rings. Our results extend those corresponding for skew polynomial rings and establish similar properties for other families of noncommutative rings such as universal enveloping algebras and examples of differential operators.
In this paper, we introduce the concept of $Σ$-semicommutative ring, for $Σ$ a finite family of endomorphisms of a ring $R$. We relate this class of rings with other classes of rings such that Abelian, reduced, $Σ$-rigid, nil-reversible and rings satisfying the $Σ$-skew reflexive nilpotent property. Also, we study some ring-theoretical properties of skew PBW extensions over $Σ$-semicommutative rings. We prove that if a ring $R$ is $Σ$-semicommutative with certain conditions of compatibility on derivations, then for every skew PBW extension $A$ over $R$, $R$ is Baer if and only if $R$ is quasi-…
We investigate the notions of weak annihilator and nilpotent associated prime defined by Ouyang and Birkenmeier \cite{OuyangBirkenmeier2012} in the setting of noncommutative rings having PBW bases. We extend several results formulated in the literature concerning annihilators and associated primes of commutative rings and skew polynomial rings to a more general setting of algebras not considered before. We exemplify our results with families of algebras appearing in the theory of enveloping algebras, differential operators on noncommutative spaces, noncommutative algebraic geometry, and theore…
In this paper we present necessary and sufficient conditions for a graded (trimmed) double Ore extension to be a graded (quasi-commutative) skew PBW extension. Using this fact, we prove that a graded skew PBW extension $A = σ(R)\langle x_1,x_2 \rangle$ of an Artin-Schelter regular algebra $R$ is Artin-Schelter regular. As a consequence, every graded skew PBW extension $A = σ(R)\langle x_1,x_2 \rangle$ of a connected skew Calabi-Yau algebra $R$ of dimension $d$ is skew Calabi-Yau of dimension $d+2$.
In [1] the author gives a description of Poisson brackets on some algebras of quantum polynomials $\mathcal{O}_q$, which is called\textit{ general algebra of quantum polynomials}. The main of this paper is to present a generalization of [1] through a description of Poisson brackets on some skew PBW extensions of a ring $A$ by the extensions $\mathcal{O}^{r,n}_{q,δ}$, which are a generalization of $\mathcal{O}_q$ and show some examples of skew PBW extension where we can apply this description.
We investigate and characterize several kinds of elements such as units, idempotents, von Neumann regular, $π$-regular and clean elements for skew PBW extensions over weak compatible rings. We also study the notions of Gelfand and Harmonic rings for these families of algebras. The results presented here extend those corresponding in the literature for commutative and noncommutative rings of polynomial type.
In this paper we discuss some open problems of non-commutative algebra and non-commutative algebraic geometry from the approach of skew $PBW$ extensions and semi-graded rings. More exactly, we will analyze the isomorphism arising in the investigation of the Gelfand-Kirillov conjecture about the commutation between the center and the total ring of fractions of an Ore domain. The Serre's conjecture will be discussed for a particular class of skew $PBW$ extensions. The questions about the noetherianity and the Zariski cancellation property of Artin-Schelter regular algebras will be reformulated f…
In this paper we define the algebraic sets and the ideal of points for bijective skew PBW extensions with coefficients in left Noetherian domains. Some properties of affine algebraic sets of commutative algebraic geometry will be extended, in particular, a Zariski topology will be constructed. Assuming additionally that the extension is quasi-commutative with polynomial center and the ring of coefficients is an algebraically closed field, we will prove an adapted version of the Hilbert's Nullstellensatz theorem that covers the classical one. The Gröbner bases of skew PBW extensions will be use…
In this article we give a description for the centralizer of the coefficient ring $R$ in the skew PBW extension $σ(R)<x_1,x_2,\cdots,x_n>.$ We give an explicit description in the quasi-commutative case and state a necessary condition in the general case. We also consider the PBW extension $σ(\mathcal{A})<x_1,x_2,\cdots,x_n>$ of the algebra of functions with finite support on a countable set, describing the centralizer of $\mathcal{A}$ and the center of the skew PBW extension.
In this paper, we study the reflexive-nilpotents-property (briefly, RNP) for Ore extensions of injective type, and more generally, skew PBW extensions. With this aim, we introduce the notions of $Σ$-skew CN rings and $Σ$-skew reflexive (RNP) rings, for $Σ$ a finite family of ring endomorphisms of a ring $R$. Under certain conditions of compatibility, we study the transfer of the $Σ$-skew RNP property from a ring of coefficients to an Ore extension or skew PBW extension over this ring. We also consider this property for localizations of these noncommutative rings. Our results extend those corre…
In this paper, our objects of interest are Hopf Galois extensions (e.g., Hopf algebras, Galois field extensions, strongly graded algebras, crossed products, principal bundles, etc.) and families of noncommutative rings (e.g., skew polynomial rings, PBW extensions and skew PBW extensions, etc.). We collect and systematize questions, problems, properties and recent advances in both theories by explicitly developing examples and doing calculations that are usually omitted in the literature. In particular, for Hopf Galois extensions we consider approaches from the point of view of quantum torsors …
The classical Gelfand-Kirillov dimension for algebras over fields has been extended recently by J. Bell and J.J Zhang to algebras over commutative domains. However, the behavior of this new notion has not been enough investigated for the principal algebraic constructions as polynomial rings, matrix rings, localizations, filtered-graded rings, skew $PBW$ extensions, etc. In this paper, we present complete proofs of the computation of this more general dimension for the mentioned algebraic constructions for algebras over commutative domains. The Gelfand-Kirillov dimension for modules and the Gel…
Let $\mathcal{C}$ be a decomposable plane curve over an algebraically closed field $k$ of characteristic 0. That is, $\mathcal{C}$ is defined in $k^2$ by an equation of the form $g(x) = f(y)$, where $g$ and $f$ are polynomials of degree at least 2. We use this data to construct 3 pointed Hopf algebras, $A(x,a,g)$, $A(y,b,f)$ and $A(g,f)$, in the first two of which $g$ [resp. $f$] are skew primitive central elements, and the third being a factor of the tensor product of the first two. We conjecture that $A(g,f)$ contains the coordinate ring $\mathcal{O}(\mathcal{C})$ of $\mathcal{C}$ as a quant…
