On completeness of coherent states in noncommutative spaces with generalised uncertainty principle

Coherent states are required to form a complete set of vectors in the Hilbert space by providing the resolution of identity. We study the completeness of coherent states for two different models in a noncommutative space associated with the generalised uncertainty relation by finding the resolution of unity with a positive definite weight function. The weight function, which is sometimes known as the Borel measure, is obtained through explicit analytic solutions of the Stieltjes and Hausdorff moment problem with the help of the standard techniques of inverse Mellin transform.

Noncommutative Spaces and the Theory of Geometrodynamics

This article is concerned with a generalisation of Connes' noncommutative framework. This is achieved by a general study of spectral triples, in particular through an analysis of the role played by the Dirac operator. The Dirac operator is used to construct a generalised covariant derivative, which is then employed to define a generalised spacetime. The spectral action is then modified to accommodate this generalisation and it is observed that in the appropriate limit, Connes' spectral action is recovered.

Perturbative calculation of energy levels for the Dirac equation with generalised momenta

We analyse a modified Dirac equation based on a noncommutative structure in phase space. The noncommutative structure induces generalised momenta and contributions to the energy levels of the standard Dirac equation. Using techniques of perturbation theory, we use this approach to find the lowest order corrections to the energy levels and eigenfunctions for two linear potentials in three dimensions, one with radial dependence and another with a triangular shape along one spatial dimension. Quantum space and quantum completeness

Motivated by the question whether quantum gravity can "smear out" the classical singularity we analyze a certain quantum space and its quantum-mechanical completeness. Classical singularity is understood as a geodesic incompleteness, while quantum completeness requires a unique unitary time evolution for test fields propagating on an underlying background. Categorified Noncommutative manifolds

We construct a noncommutative geometry with generalised `tangent bundle' from Fell bundle $C^*$-categories ($E$) beginning by replacing pair groupoid objects (points) with objects in $E$. This provides a categorification of a certain class of real spectral triples where the Dirac operator is constructed from morphisms in a category. Applications for physics include quantisation via the tangent groupoid and new constraints on $D_{\mathrm{finite}}$ (the fermion mass matrix).

Causality in noncommutative two-sheeted space-times

We investigate the causal structure of two-sheeted space-times using the tools of Lorentzian spectral triples. We show that the noncommutative geometry of these spaces allows for causal relations between the two sheets. The computation is given in details when the sheet is a 2- or 4-dimensional globally hyperbolic spin manifold. The conclusions are then generalised to a point-dependent distance between the two sheets resulting from the fluctuations of the Dirac operator.

Noncommutative 3-colour scalar quantum field theory model in 2D

We introduce the 3-colour noncommutative quantum field theory model in two dimensions. For this model we prove a generalised Ward-Takahashi identity, which is special to coloured noncommutative QFT models and has no underlying continuous symmetry. It reduces to the usual Ward-Takahashi identity in a particular case. The Ward-Takahashi identity is used to simplify the Schwinger-Dyson equations for the 2-point function and the N-point function. Structure of the Three-dimensional Quantum Euclidean Space

As an example of a noncommutative space we discuss the quantum 3-dimensional Euclidean space $R^3_q$ together with its symmetry structure in great detail. The algebraic structure and the representation theory are clarified and discrete spectra for the coordinates are found. The q-deformed Legendre functions play a special role. Braided Quantum Field Theory

We develop a general framework for quantum field theory on noncommutative spaces, i.e., spaces with quantum group symmetry. We use the path integral approach to obtain expressions for $n$-point functions. Perturbation theory leads us to generalised Feynman diagrams which are braided, i.e., they have non-trivial over- and under-crossings. We demonstrate the power of our approach by applying it to $ϕ^4$-theory on the quantum 2-sphere. We find that the basic divergent diagram of the theory is regularised.
