As an example of a noncommutative space we discuss the quantum 3-dimensional Euclidean space $R^3_q$ together with its symmetry structure in great detail. The algebraic structure and the representation theory are clarified and discrete spectra for the coordinates are found. The q-deformed Legendre functions play a special role. A completeness relation is derived for these functions.

Realization of the Three-dimensional Quantum Euclidean Space by Differential Operators

The three-dimensional quantum Euclidean space is an example of a non-commutative space that is obtained from Euclidean space by $q$-deformation. Simultaneously, angular momentum is deformed to $so_q(3)$, it acts on the $q$-Euclidean space that becomes a $so_q(3)$-module algebra this way. In this paper it is shown, that this algebra can be realized by differential operators acting on $C^{\infty}$ functions on $\mathbb{R}^3$. Algebraic Structures in Euclidean and Minkowskian Two-Dimensional Conformal Field Theory

We review how modular categories, and commutative and non-commutative Frobenius algebras arise in rational conformal field theory. For Euclidean CFT we use an approach based on sewing of surfaces, and in the Minkowskian case we describe CFT by a net of operator algebras.

Combinatorial quantisation of Euclidean gravity in three dimensions

In the Chern-Simons formulation of Einstein gravity in 2+1 dimensions the phase space of gravity is the moduli space of flat G-connections, where G is a typically non-compact Lie group which depends on the signature of space-time and the cosmological constant. For Euclidean signature and vanishing cosmological constant, G is the three-dimensional Euclidean group. For this case the Poisson structure of the moduli space is given explicitly in terms of a classical r-matrix. It is shown that the quantum R-matrix of the quantum double D(SU(2)) provides a quantisation of that Poisson structure.

Geometrical techniques for the N-dimensional Quantum Euclidean Spaces

We briefly report our application of a version of noncommutative geometry to the quantum Euclidean space $R^N_q$, for any $N \ge 3$; this space is covariant under the action of the quantum group $SO_q(N)$, and two covariant differential calculi are known on it. More precisely, we describe how to construct in a Cartan `moving-frame formalism' the metric, two covariant derivatives, the Dirac operator, the frame, the inner derivations dual to the frame elements, for both of these calculi. Realization of Frobenius manifolds as submanifolds in pseudo-Euclidean spaces

We introduce a class of k-potential submanifolds in pseudo-Euclidean spaces and prove that for an arbitrary positive integer k and an arbitrary nonnegative integer p, each N-dimensional Frobenius manifold can always be locally realized as an N-dimensional k-potential submanifold in ((k + 1) N + p)-dimensional pseudo-Euclidean spaces of certain signatures. For k = 1 this construction was proposed by the present author in a previous paper (2006). The realization of concrete Frobenius manifolds is reduced to solving a consistent linear system of second-order partial differential equations.

Unitary representations of the 2-dimensional Euclidean group in the Heisenberg algebra

E(2) is studied as the automorphism group of the Heisenberg algebra H. The basis in the Hilbert space K of functions on H on which the unitary irreducible representations of the group are realized is explicitely constructed. The addition theorem for the Kummer functions is derived.
