By homotopy linear algebra we mean the study of linear functors between slices of the $\infty$-category of $\infty$-groupoids, subject to certain finiteness conditions. After some standard definitions and results, we assemble said slices into $\infty$-categories to model the duality between vector spaces and profinite-dimensional vector spaces, and set up a global notion of homotopy cardinality à la Baez-Hoffnung-Walker compatible with this duality. We needed these results to support our work on incidence algebras and Möbius inversion over $\infty$-groupoids; we hope that they can also be of independent interest.
We address the homotopy theory of 2-crossed modules of commutative algebras. In particular, we define the concept of a 2-fold homotopy between a pair of 1-fold homotopies connecting 2-crossed module maps $\A \to \A'$. We also prove that if the domain 2-crossed module $\A$ is free up to order one (i.e. if the bottom algebra is a polynomial algebra) then we have a 2-groupoid of 2-crossed module maps $\A \to \A'$ and their homotopies and 2-fold homotopies.
The main goal of this thesis is to develop the integration theory of curved homotopy Lie algebras. In the first chapter, we develop the operadic calculus needed: we encode non-necessarily conilpotent coalgebras with operads and introduce their dual notion of an algebra over a cooperad, which we call "absolute algebras". The first sections of this chapter are a state of the art, and the last three sections are made of original results. In the second chapter, we develop the new theory of curved operadic calculus, which allows us to encode curved types of algebras with curved operads. Finally, in…
Algebraic quantum field theory and prefactorization algebra are two mathematical approaches to quantum field theory. In this monograph, using a new coend definition of the Boardman-Vogt construction of a colored operad, we define homotopy algebraic quantum field theories and homotopy prefactorization algebras and investigate their homotopy coherent structures. Homotopy coherent diagrams, homotopy inverses, A-infinity-algebras, E-infinity-algebras, and E-infinity-modules arise naturally in this context. In particular, each homotopy algebraic quantum field theory has the structure of a homotopy …
Let $\mathscr{M}$ be a monoidal model category that is also combinatorial and left proper. If $\mathscr{O}$ is a monad, operad, properad, or a PROP; following Segal's ideas we develop a theory of Quillen-Segal $\mathscr{O}$-algebras and show that we have a Quillen equivalence between usual $\mathscr{O}$-algebras and Quillen-Segal algebras. We use this theory to get the stable homotopy category by a similar method as Hovey.
We set up foundations of representation theory over $S$, the sphere spectrum, which is the `initial ring' of stable homotopy theory. In particular, we treat $S$-Lie algebras and their representations, characters, $gl_n(S)$-Verma modules and their duals, Harish-Chandra pairs and Zuckermann functors. As an application, we construct a Khovanov $sl_k$-stable homotopy type with a large prime hypothesis, which is a new link invariant, using a stable homotopy analogue of the method of J.Sussan.
For $Λ$ the category of free opetopic algebras, we construct a model structure \emph{à la Cisinski} on the category of presheaves over $Λ$, and show that is is equivalent to opetopic complete Segal spaces. This generalizes the results of Joyal and Tierney in the simplicial case, and of Cisinski and Moerdijk in the planar dendroidal case.
We study homotopy epimorphisms and covers formulated in terms of derived Tate's acyclicity for commutative C*-algebras and their non-Archimedean counterparts. We prove that a homotopy epimorphism between commutative C*-algebras precisely corresponds to a closed immersion between the compact Hausdorff topological spaces associated to them, and a cover of a commutative C*-algebra precisely corresponds to a topological cover of the compact Hausdorff topological space associated to it by closed immersions admitting a finite subcover. This permits us to prove derived and non-derived descent for Ban…
