The light front wavefunction obtained from anti-de Sitter Quantum Chromodynamics is used to calculate the light cone distribution amplitudes for $ρ$ and $K^*$ vector mesons. These distribution amplitudes are then utilized to calculate the $B \to ρ,\; K^*$ transition form factors via light cone sum rules. Two-parameter fits of our results for low to intermediate momentum transfer $q^2$ that includes the QCD lattice data at high $q^2$ are presented. Consequently, we give predictions for the semileptoic $B \to ρ\ell ν$ and dileptonic $B \to K^* μ^+ μ^-$ decays.
An analysis of charm mesons decaying semileptonically via Flavor Changing Neutral Currents is presented. We calculate the Wilson coefficients within the Standard Model. A window in the decay distribution, where physics beyond the Standard Model could be measured is identified. Exemplary, we study effects of leptoquark models.
We study the forward-backward and the CP-violating asymmetries (both time-independent and time-dependent) in rare semileptonic and radiative leptonic B_{d,s}-decays and investigate the sensitivity of these asymmetries to the extensions of the Standard model.
We analyze the rare semileptonic $B_s \to (η, η') l^+ l^-$, $(l=e, μ, τ)$ and $B_s \to (η, η') ν\barν$ transitions probing the $\bar s s$ content of the $η$ and $η'$ mesons via three--point QCD sum rules. We calculate responsible form factors for these transitions in full theory. Using the obtained form factors, we also estimate the related branching fractions and longitudinal lepton polarization asymmetries. Our results are in a good consistency with the predictions of the other existing nonperturbative approaches.

We investigate the consequence of vector leptoquarks on the rare semileptonic lepton flavour violating decays of $B$ meson which are more promising and effective channels to probe the new physics signal. We constrain the resulting new leptoquark parameter space by using the branching ratios of $B_{s, d} \to l^+ l^-$, $K_L \to l^+ l^-$ and $τ^- \to l^- γ$ processes. We estimate the branching ratios of rare lepton flavour violating $B \to K(π)l_i^- l_j^+$ processes using the constrained leptoquark couplings. We also compute the forward-backward asymmetries and the lepton non-universality paramet…
I review the phenomenology of exclusive Bbar -> Kbar pi l^+ l^- decays, with focus on the intermediate resonant Kbar^*(892) mode. The status of angular observables at both ends of the dilepton mass spectrum is revisited. Constraints on the b -> s Wilson coefficients C_7,C_9,C_10 based on 2011 data from the B factories, CDF and LHCb are presented.
In this paper, we analyze different decay observables of semileptonic $ B_c$ decays into $(D_(s,d)^((*)))μ^+ μ^-$ such as branching ratio, forward-backward asymmetry, polarization fraction and lepton polarization asymmetry in the non-universal Z' model. We have also studied the dependence of branching fraction to the new model parameters. Here, we have found that the values of different decay parameters increase in the Z' model, which provides a possible way out for the search of new physics as well as the unknown phenomena of charm B meson.
We consider the axial-vector mesons $K_1(1270)$ and $K_1(1400)$ as a mixture of two $|^3P_1\rangle$ and $|^1P_1\rangle$ states with the mixing angle $θ$ that equal to $(-34\pm 13)^\circ$. We calculate the light-front distribution amplitudes (LFDAs) and decay constant formulas for both the axial-vector mesons $K_1$ in the AdS/QCD correspondence. The transition form factors of the semileptonic $B\to K_1$ decays are derived in terms of the LFDAs for $K_1$ mesons. Using these form factors and decay constant values, the differential branching ratios of $B\to K_1 (1270, 1400) \ell^+ \ell^-$,~$\ell=μ…
We study the effect of scalar leptoquarks on the exclusive rare $B$ meson decays $\bar{B}_d^0 \rightarrow \bar{K}^{* 0}\left(\rightarrow K^-π^+\right) l^+ l^-$ in the full kinematically accessible physical region. We work out the constraints on leptoquark parameter space using the measured branching ratio of $B_s \rightarrow μ^+ μ^-$ process by the CMS and LHCb collaborations. We compute the branching ratio, forward-backward asymmetry and isospin asymmetry distribution using the constrained parameter space. We also look into various form factor independent and CP violating observables in the s…
We study the exclusive semileptonic rare $B_c^+ \to D^+ ν\barν$ decay in the framework of light-cone quark model. The transition form factors $f_{+}(q^2)$ and $f_{T}(q^2)$ are evaluated in the time-like region using the analytic continuation method in $q^{+} = 0$ frame. The analytic solutions of these form factors are compared with the results obtained from the double pole parametric form. The branching ratio for $B_c^+ \to D^+ ν\barν$ decay is calculated and compared with the other theoretical model predictions. The predicted results in this model can be tested at the LHCb experiments in near…
We use QCD light-cone sum rules (LCSR) with holographic anti de Sitter/Chromodynamics (AdS/QCD) Distribution Amplitudes (DAs) for the $ρ$ meson to predict the form factors that govern the leading amplitudes of the rare radiative $B -> ργ$ decay and the semileptonic decay $B -> ρl ν$. We test the Isgur-Wise relation between the radiative and semileptonic form factors. We also compute the total width (in units of $|V_{ub}|^2$) for the semileptonic decay $B -> ρl ν$ as well as ratios of partial decay widths which are independent of $|V_{ub}|$.
We investigate the exclusive semileptonic and rare $D\to π(K)$ decays within the standard model together with the light-front quark model (LFQM) constrained by the variational principle for the QCD-motivated effective Hamiltonian. The form factors are obtained in the $q^+=0$ frame and then analytically continue to the physical timelike region. Together with our recent analysis of the current-component independent form factors $f_\pm(q^2)$ for the semileptonic decays, we present the current-component independent tensor form factor $f_T(q^2)$ for the rare decays to make the complete set of hadro…
Motivated by the recent observation of lepton universality violation in the flavour changing charged current transitions $b \to c l \barν_l$, we intend to scrutinize the lepton non-universality effects in rare semileptonic $B$ meson decays involving the quark level transitions $b \to u l \barν_l$. In this regard, we envisage the model-independent approach and consider the generalized effective Lagrangian in the presence of new physics and constrain the new parameters by using the experimental branching fractions of $B_u^+ \to l^+ ν_l$ and $B^- \to π^0 μ^- \bar ν_μ$ processes, where $l=e, μ, τ$…
We provide new values for the model parameters of the covariant constituent quark model (with built--in infrared confinement) in the meson sector by a fit to the leptonic decay constants and a number of electromagnetic decays. We then evaluate, in a parameter free way, the form factors of the $B(B_s)\to P(V)$-transitions in the full kinematical region of momentum transfer. As an application of our results we calculate the widths of the nonleptonic $B_s$-decays into $D_s^- D_s^+,$ $D_s^{\ast\,-} D_s^{+}+D_s^- D_s^{\ast\,+}$ and $D_s^{\ast\,-} D_s^{\ast\,+}$. These modes give the largest contrib…
Rare semileptonic decays of B and B_c mesons are investigated in the framework of the QCD-motivated relativistic quark model based on the quasipotential approach. Form factors parametrizing the matrix elements of the weak transitions between corresponding meson states are calculated with the complete account of the relativistic effects including contributions of intermediate negative energy states and relativistic transformations of the meson wave functions. The momentum transfer dependence of the form factors is reliably determined in the whole accessible kinematical range. On this basis the …
Rare B meson decays mediated by flavour changing neutral current (FCNC) transition play interesting role to probe the flavour sector of the standard model (SM). Generally at the tree level, FCNC processes are not allowed in the SM but occurs at the loop levels. This gives an excellent hunting ground for new physics (NP). From various experimental studies it is found that the FCNC processes having quark level transition $b \to s$ are challenging. Here, we investigate different kinematic observables like forward-backward asymmetry, differential branching ratio and lepton polarization asymmetry f…
Recent LHCb measurements show small discrepancies with respect to the Standard Model (SM) predictions in selected angular distributions of the mode $B^0 \to K^{*0} μ^+ μ^-$. The possibility of explaining such tensions within theories beyond the SM crucially depends on the size of the deviations of the Wilson coefficients of the effective Hamiltonian for this mode, in comparison to their SM values. We analyse this issue in the framework of the Randall Sundrum model with custodial protection (RS$_c$); in our study we also consider the mode with $τ$ leptons in the final state. We discuss the smal…
We study the scalar leptoquark effects on the rare semileptonic decays of $Λ_b$ baryon, governed by the quark level transition $b \to s l^+ l^-$. We estimate the branching ratios, forward-backward asymmetries, lepton polarization parameters and the lepton flavour non-universality effects in these decay channels. We find significant deviations from the corresponding standard model predictions in some of the observables due to leptoquark effects. We also investigate the lepton flavour violating decays $Λ_b \to Λl_i^- l_j^+$, the branching ratios of which are found to be ${\cal O}(10^{-10} - 10^{…
We conduct a systematic study of the impact of new physics in quark-level $b \to c \bar{c} s$ transitions on $B$-physics, in particular rare $B$-decays and $B$-meson lifetime observables. We find viable scenarios where a sizable effect in rare semileptonic $B$-decays can be generated, compatible with experimental indications and with a possible dependence on the dilepton invariant mass, while being consistent with constraints from radiative $B$-decay and the measured $B_s$ width difference. We show how, if the effect is generated at the weak scale or beyond, strong renormalisation-group effect…
We have carried out phenomenological implication of R-parity violating ($\NEG% {R}_{p}$) Minimal Supersymmetric Model (MSSM) via analyses of pure leptonic($% M\rightarrow ν\barν$) and semileptonic decays of pseudo-scalar mesons(% $M\rightarrow Xν\barν$). These analyses involve prediction of branching fraction of pure leptonic decays by using experimental limits/bounds derived from the study of semileptonic decays on $\NEG{R}_{p}$ parameters. We have found, in general that $\NEG{R}_{p}$ contribution dominates over the SM contribution i.e., by a factor of $10^{2}$ for the semleptonic decays of $…
Rare radiative, leptonic and semileptonic B meson decays are valuable probes of physics beyond the Standard Model. This talk reviews the sensitivity to new physics of observables related to two rare B decays to be measured in the near future at LHC, B(s) -> mu+ mu- and B -> K* mu+ mu-.
The rare K and B semileptonic decays into neutrino pairs are well-known to be extremely sensitive to non-standard physics in the quark sector. In this talk, their capabilities to signal New Physics in the leptonic sector, or even to reveal entirely new invisible sectors, are analyzed.
We use AdS/QCD holographic Distributions Amplitudes for the vector mesons $ρ$ and $K^*$ in order to predict the radiative decays $B \to ργ$ and $B \to K^* γ$ as well as the semileptonic decays $B \to ρl ν$ and $B \to K^* μ^+ μ^-$. For the radiative decays, we find that the AdS/QCD DAs offer the advantage of avoiding end-point singularities when computing power suppressed contributions. For the semileptonic decays $B \to ρl ν$ and $B \to K^* μ^+ μ^-$, we compare our predictions to the latest BaBar and LHCb data respectively.
We use the AdS/QCD distribution amplitudes for light mesons to calculate the transition form factors for B to $ρ$, $K^*$ decays. These form factors are then utilized to make predictions for the semileptonic $B\toρ\ellν$ and dileptonic $B\to K^* μ^+μ^-$ decays. We compare our predictions to the experimental data from BaBar and LHCb.
Leptonic and semileptonic decays in the charm sector have been well studied in recent years. With the largest data sample near $D\bar D$ threshold, precision measurements of leptonic and semileptonic decays of charm meson and baryon are perfromed at BESIII. Test for letpon flavor universality is also performed. Sensitivity for rare leptonic and semileptonic charm decays is significantly improved taking advantage of the huge statistics in LHCb and the $B$ factories.
We analyze the semileptonic rare decays of $B$ meson to $K_{1} (1270)$ and $K_{1} (1400)$ axial vector mesons. The $B\to K_{1} (1270,1400) \ell^+ \ell^-$ decays are significant flavor changing neutral current decays of the $B$ meson. These decays are sensitive to the new physics beyond SM, since these processes are forbidden at tree level at SM. These decays occurring at the quark level via $b\to s \ell^+ \ell^- $ transition, also provide new opportunities for calculating the CKM matrix elements $V_{bt}$ and $V_{ts}$. In this study, the transition form factors of the $B\to K_{1} (1270,1400) \e…
The current status of the theory and phenomenology of weak decays of hadrons containing a heavy quark is reviewed. Exclusive semileptonic and rare decays of $B$ mesons are discussed, as well as inclusive decay rates, the semileptonic branching ratio of the $B$ meson, and the lifetimes of $b$-flavoured hadrons. Determinations of $α_s$ from $Υ$ spectroscopy are briefly presented.
We study the forward-backward and the CP-violating asymmetries (both time-independent and time-dependent) in rare semileptonic $B_d\toρ^0 l^+l^-$, $B_s\toϕl^+l^-$, and radiative leptonic $B_{d,s}\to γl^+l^-$ decays and investigate the sensitivity of these asymmetries to the extensions of the Standard model.
