We study a black hole with a blurred mass density instead of a singular one, which is caused by the noncommutativity of 3-space. Depending on its mass, such object has either none, one or two event horizons. It possesses properties, which become important on a microscopic scale, in particular, the Hawking temperature does not increase indefinitely as the mass goes to zero, but vanishes instead. Such frozen and extremely dense pieces of matter are good dark matter candidates.
To apply the laws of General Relativity to quantum black holes, one first needs to remove the horizon singularity by means of Kruskal-Szekeres coordinates. This however doubles spacetime, which thereby is equipped with an exact binary symmetry. All particles near a black hole share the same symmetry, and conservation of this symmetry may completely remove the information paradox: the quantum black hole has no interior, or equivalently, the black hole interior is a quantum clone of the exterior region. These observations, totally overlooked in most of the literature on quantum black holes, reso…
Using a noncommutative inspired Einstein-Euler-Heisenberg black hole, we analyse the associated graviton and light rings that together with the event horizon, provide the necessary components to build its shadow. An analysis of the angular radius of the noncommutative inspired Einstein-Euler-Heisenberg black hole shows that for observers located in its vicinity, it becomes smaller when compared with the commutative case; this effect is more noticeable as noncommutativity increases. The existence of marginally stable bound orbits and the critical angle for the escaping of photons of a noncommut…
We investigate the quantum deformation of the Wheeler--DeWitt equation of a Schwarzchild black hole. Specifically, the quantum deformed black hole is a quantized model constructed from the quantum Heisenberg--Weyl $U_q(h_4)$ group. We show that the event horizon area and the mass are quantized, degenerate, and bounded. The degeneracy of states indicates entangled quantum black hole/white hole states. Accordingly, quantum deformation provides a new framework to examine Einstein--Rosen wormhole solutions. Besides, we obtain the mass, the temperature, and the entropy of the q-deformed quantum Sch…

We consider black hole in Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet(EGB) gravity in a dynamical setup and also the stationary black hole in recently discovered\cite{Glavan} $4$-dimensional novel Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet gravity. For dynamical EGB black hole in completely local settings we calculate the temperature associated with the horizon. For the stationary black hole in $4$-dimensional novel EGB theory we explore the thermodynamic properties including calculation of temperature and entropy.
In this work, motivated by the fact that higher-dimensional theories predict the existence of black holes which differ from their four-dimensional counterpart, we analyse the geodesics and black hole shadow cast by a general non-extremal five-dimensional black hole. The system under consideration corresponds to the Chong-Cvetič-Lü-Pope (Phys. Rev.Lett.{\bf 95}, 161301 (2005)), which has the Myers--Perry black hole as a limit.
We study stationary slowly rotating black holes, up to quadratic order in the spin angular momentum, in dynamical Chern-Simons gravity and shift symmetric Einstein scalar Gauss-Bonnet gravity, as models of string-inspired gravities. These gravity theories modify general relativity by introducing dynamical scalar fields coupled with curvature invariants. We show that the linear time dependence of the scalar fields is allowed from the stationarity of the effective stress energy tensors. However, these time dependent scalar fields yield singular behavior of the metric functions at the black hole …
We introduce a new microscopic quantity $\varepsilon $ that describes the contribution of a single black hole molecule to black hole entropy and give a key relation that this microscopic quantity is proportional to the macroscopic quantity -- entropy surface density $σ_{S}$, thus connecting a microscopic quantity to a macroscopic quantity of black holes. Such a connection provides a new probe for understanding the black hole microstructure from the macroscopic perspective. We also classify black holes in terms of entropy surface density. When its entropy surface density is larger (smaller) tha…
By throwing a test charged particle into a Reissner-Nordstrom (RN) black hole, we test the validity of the first and second laws of thermodynamics and weak cosmic censorship conjecture (WCCC) with two types of boundary conditions, i.e., the asymptotically anti-de Sitter (AdS) space and a Dirichlet cavity wall placed in the asymptotically at space. For the RN-AdS black hole, the second law of thermodynamics is satisfied, and the WCCC is violated for both extremal and nearextremal black holes. For the RN black hole in a cavity, the entropy can either increase or decrease depending on the change …
The superradiant stability of higher dimensional non-extremal Reissner-Nordstrom black hole under charged massive scalar perturbation is analytically studied. We extend our previous studies of four- and five-dimensional non-extremal Reissner-Nordstrom black hole cases to six-dimensional case. By analyzing the derivative of the effective potential with an analytical method, we find that no potential well exists outside the outer horizon of the black hole for the superradiant scalar modes. This means that there is no black hole bomb for the system consisting of six-dimensional Reissner-Nordstrom…
