By throwing a test charged particle into a Reissner-Nordstrom (RN) black hole, we test the validity of the first and second laws of thermodynamics and weak cosmic censorship conjecture (WCCC) with two types of boundary conditions, i.e., the asymptotically anti-de Sitter (AdS) space and a Dirichlet cavity wall placed in the asymptotically at space. For the RN-AdS black hole, the second law of thermodynamics is satisfied, and the WCCC is violated for both extremal and nearextremal black holes. For the RN black hole in a cavity, the entropy can either increase or decrease depending on the change in the charge, and WCCC is satisfied/violated for the extremal/nearextremal black hole. Our results indicate that there may be a connection between the black hole thermodynamics and the boundary condition imposed on the black hole.
In this paper, we study the thermodynamics and the weak cosmic censorship conjecture of the RN-AdS black hole surrounded by the quintessence under the scattering of a charged complex scalar field. With scalar field scattering, the variation of the black hole is calculated in the extended and normal phase spaces. In the extended phase space, the cosmological constant and the normalization parameter are considered as thermodynamic variables, and the first law of thermodynamics is valid, but the second law of thermodynamics is not valid. In the normal phase space, the cosmological constant and th…
We reexamine our proposed counterexample (gr-qc/0307102) to cosmic censorship in anti de Sitter (AdS) space, and find a gap in the construction. We mention some possible ways to close the gap, but at present the question of whether cosmic censorship is violated in AdS remains open.
In this paper, we investigate the thermodynamics and weak cosmic censorship conjecture in a RN-AdS black hole with the cloud of strings and quintessence by the scattering of a scalar field. The variations of the thermodynamic variables are calculated in the normal and extended phase spaces. In the normal phase space, where the cosmological constant is considered as a constant, the first and second laws of thermodynamics are satisfied. In the extended phase space, where the cosmological constant and the parameters related to the cloud of strings and quintessence are treated as variables, the fi…
We consider time-dependent solutions of the Einstein-Maxwell equations using anti-de Sitter (AdS) boundary conditions, and provide the first counterexample to the weak cosmic censorship conjecture in four spacetime dimensions. Our counterexample is entirely formulated in the Poincaré patch of AdS. We claim that our results have important consequences for quantum gravity, most notably to the weak gravity conjecture.
A well posed theory of nature is expected to determine the future of an observer uniquely from a given set of appropriate initial data. In the context of general relativity, this is ensured by Penrose's strong cosmic censorship conjecture. But in recent years, several examples are found which suggest breakdown of the deterministic nature of the theory in Reissner-Nordstrom-de Sitter black holes under the influence of different fundamental fields. Nevertheless, the situation has been reassuring for the case of astrophysically meaningful Kerr-de Sitter black hole solutions which seems to respect…
Treating the cosmological constant as a dynamical variable, we investigate the thermodynamics and weak cosmic censorship conjecture (WCCC) of a charged AdS black hole (BH) in the Rastall gravity. We determine the energy momentum relation of charged fermion at the horizon of the BH by using the Dirac equation. Based on this relation, we show that the first law of thermodynamics (FLT) still holds as a fermion is absorbed by the BH. However, the entropy of both the extremal and near-extremal BH decreases in the irreversible process, which means that the second law of thermodynamics (SLT) is viola…
We show that cosmic censorship takes an exceptionally complex and interesting form in the case of five-dimensional AdS-Kerr black holes, due to the unusually distant relation obtaining in that case between the black hole parameters and the physical mass and angular momentum. One finds that, in this case, censorship is less restrictive than one might hope: it apparently allows some rather bizarre behaviour, and in particular does not prohibit arbitrarily large angular momenta. We find however that most of the unwelcome geometries permitted by censorship can be eliminated by requiring stability …
In this paper, we investigate minimal length effects on the thermodynamics and weak cosmic censorship conjecture in a RN-AdS black bole via charged particle absorption. We first use the generalized uncertainty principle (GUP) to investigate the minimal length effect on the Hamilton-Jacobi equation. After the deformed Hamilton-Jacobi equation is derived, we use it to study the variations of the thermodynamic quantities of a RN-Ads black hole via absorbing a charged practice. Furthermore, we check the second law of thermodynamics and the weak cosmic censorship conjecture in two phase spaces. In …
We investigate the laws of thermodynamics and weak cosmic censorship conjecture in the normal and extended phase space of a Kerr-AdS black hole by analyzing the energy-momentum relation of the absorbed fermion dropping into the horizon. In the normal phase space, the first law, second law as well as the weak cosmic censorship conjecture are found to be valid in all the initial states of the black hole. However, in the extended phase space, although the first law and weak cosmic censorship conjecture are still valid, the second law becomes more subtle. We find that the validity or violation of …
The first law of black hole thermodynamics in the extended phase space is prevailing recently. However, the second law as well as the weak cosmic censorship conjecture has not been investigated extensively. In this paper, we investigate the laws of thermodynamics and the weak cosmic censorship conjecture of an AdS black hole with a global monopole in the extended phase space under a charged particle absorption. It is shown that the first law of thermodynamics is valid, while the second law is violated for the extremal and near-extremal black holes. Moreover, we find the weak cosmic censorship …
It has been shown previously that an extremal Reissner-Nordström or an extremal Kerr black hole cannot be overcharged or overspun by a test particle if radiative and self-force effects are neglected. In this paper, we consider extremal charged and rotating black holes with cosmological constants. By studying the motion of test particles, we find the following results: An extremal Reissner-Nordström anti-de Sitter (RN-AdS) black hole can be overcharged by a test particle but an extremal Reissner-Nordström de Sitter (RN-dS) black hole cannot be overcharged. We also show that both extrmal Kerr-de…
Considering the cosmological constant as the pressure, we mainly study the laws of thermodynamics and weak cosmic censorship conjecture in the Reissner-Nordström-AdS black hole surrounded by quintessence dark energy under charged particle absorption. The first law of thermodynamics is found to be valid as a particle is absorbed by the black hole. The second law however is found to be violated for the extremal and near-extremal black holes since the entropy of these black hole decrease. Moreover, we find that the extremal black hole do not change it configuration in the extended phase space, im…
Numerical evidence suggests that the superradiant instability of Kerr-AdS black holes and "black resonators" evolves to smaller and smaller scales towards a "limiting" black resonator. Using $AdS_4$ supergravity, we argue that this putative endpoint to the superradiant instability does not exist.
With the Hamilton-Jacobi equation, we obtain the energy-momentum relation of a charged particle as it is absorbed by the Gauss-Bonnet AdS black hole. On the basis of the energy-momentum relation at the event horizon, we investigate the first law, second law, and weak cosmic censorship conjecture in both the normal phase space and extended phase space. Our results show that the first law, second law as well as the weak cosmic censorship conjecture are valid in the normal phase space for all the initial states are black holes. However, in the extended phase space, the second law is violated for …
The strong cosmic censorship conjecture states (SCCC) that one cannot extend spacetime beyond the Cauchy horizon with a square-integrable connection. This conjecture was postulated to save the deterministic nature of the most successful theory of gravitation, general relativity. In order to explore the validation/violation of the SCCC for the charged anti-de Sitter black hole spacetime, we compute the ratio of the imaginary part of the quasinormal mode frequencies and the surface gravity at the Cauchy horizon both analytically and numerically. The lowest value of which defines the key paramete…
We consider vacuum solutions of four dimensional general relativity with $Λ< 0$. We numerically construct stationary solutions that asymptotically approach a boundary metric with differential rotation. Smooth solutions only exist up to a critical rotation. We thus argue that increasing the differential rotation by a finite amount will cause the curvature to grow without bound. This holds for both zero and nonzero temperature, and both compact and noncompact boundaries. However, the boundary metric always develops an ergoregion before reaching the critical rotation, which probably means that th…
We examine the achronal averaged null energy condition~(ANEC) for a class of conformal field theories~(CFT) at strong coupling in curved spacetime. By applying the AdS/CFT duality, we find holographic models which violate the achronal ANEC for $3+1$ and $4+1$-dimensional boundary theories. In our model, the bulk spacetime is an asymptotically AdS vacuum bubble solution with neither causality violation nor singularities. The conformal boundary of our bubble solution is asymptotically flat and is causally proper in the sense that a "fastest null geodesics" connecting any two points on the bounda…
The new version of the gedanken experiments proposed by Sorce and Wald are designed to test the validity of the weak cosmic censorship conjecture (WCCC) by overspinning or overcharging the Kerr-Newman black hole in Einstein-Maxwell gravity. Following their setup, in this paper, we investigate the WCCC in the higher-dimensional charged black hole with a nonlinear electrodynamics source. We derive the first and seconder order perturbation inequalities of the charged collision matter based on the Iyer-Wald formalism as well as the null energy conditions, and show that they share the similar form …
Recently Hertog, Horowitz, and Maeda (HHM) (hep-th/0310054) have proposed that cosmic censorship can be violated in the AdS/CFT context. They argue that for certain initial data there is insufficient energy available to make a black hole whose horizon is big enough to cloak the singularity that forms. We have investigated this proposal in the models HHM discuss and have thus far been unable to find initial data that provably satisfy this criterion, despite our development of an improved lower bound on the size of the singular region. This is consistent with recent numerical results (hep-th/040…
We analyze the gravitational perturbations induced by particles falling into a three dimensional, asymptotically AdS black hole geometry. More specifically, we solve the linearized perturbation equations obtained from the geodesic motion of a ring-like distribution of test particles in the BTZ background. This setup ensures that the U(1) symmetry of the background is preserved. The non-asymptotic flatness of the background raises difficulties in attributing the significance of energy and angular momentum to the conserved quantities of the test particles. This issue is well known but, to the be…
In this paper, we apply the new Gedanken experiment to investigate the weak cosmic censorship conjecture for Reissner-Nordström AdS black holes surrounded by quintessence. Since the perturbation of matter fields doesn't affect the spacetime geometry, we propose the stability condition and assume the process of matter fields falling into the black hole satisfies the null energy condition. Based on Iyer-Wald formalism we can derive the first order and second-order variational identities. From the two identities and the above two conditions lead to the first-order and second-order perturbation in…
Present-day temperature $T_0$ of cosmic microwave background has been precisely measured by the FIRAS experiment. We identify that the early dark energy (EDE) (non-negligible around matter-radiation equality) scenario can remain compatible with the FIRAS result, while lifting the Hubble constant $H_0$. We perform Monte Carlo Markov chain analysis to confirm our observations. We also present an $α$-attractor Anti-de Sitter (AdS) model of EDE, in which the AdS depth is consistently varied in the Monte Carlo Markov chain analysis. We found that our datasets weakly hinted the existence of an AdS p…
By dropping particles into black hole, we have employed the recently new assumption [1] that the change of the black hole mass(enthalpy) should be the same amount as the energy of an infalling particle($ω= dM$), to carefully test the laws of thermodynamics and the weak cosmic censorship conjecture of a conformal anomaly corrected AdS black hole in different phase spaces. Using the energy-momentum relation, the result shows that the first law, second law and weak cosmic censorship conjecture of black hole are all valid in the normal phase space, no violations occur. In the extended phase space,…
The (zeroth-order) energy of a particle in the background of a black hole is given by Carter's integrals. However, exact calculations of a particle's {\it self-energy} (first-order corrections) are still beyond our present reach in many situations. In this paper we use Hawking's area theorem in order to derive bounds on the self-energy of a particle in the vicinity of a black hole. Furthermore, we show that self-energy corrections {\it must} be taken into account in order to guarantee the validity of Penrose cosmic censorship conjecture.
According to the cosmic censorship hypothesis of Penrose, naked singularities should never occur in realistic collapse situations. One of the major open problems in this context is the existence of a naked singularity in the Kerr solution with |a|>m; this singularity can be interpreted as the final product of collapse of a rapidly rotating object. Assuming that certain very general and physically reasonable conditions hold, we show here, using the global techniques, that a realistic gravitational collapse of any rotating object, which develops from a regular initial state, cannot lead to the f…
Based on the new version of the gedanken experiment proposed by Sorce and Wald, we investigate the weak cosmic censorship conjecture (WCCC) for a Reissner-Nordström-Anti-de Sitter (RN-AdS) black hole under the perturbation of extra matter fields. Firstly, we propose that the cosmological constant can be effectively derived from the matter fields and its value varies with the matter fields perturbing the black hole. Meanwhile, we assume that the perturbation satisfies the stability condition. This condition means that after a long time of the perturbation, the black hole solution also belongs t…
We study the generalization of the gadenken experiment of overcharging an extremal black hole proposed by Wald in the context of a multi black hole solution. In particular, we attempt to overcharge a system of two extremal black holes via test particle absorption to produce a system involving a black hole and a naked singularity. If such a process is possible, then this would be a potential violation of the cosmic censorship hypothesis. However, we find that, analogous to Wald's result for a single charged black hole, such a test particle which can expose the singularity, would not be able to …
We test the validity of the weak cosmic censorship conjecture for the ($2+1$)-dimensional charged anti-de Sitter black hole solution, which was derived by Martinez, Teitelboim, and Zanelli (MTZ). We first construct a thought experiment by throwing test charged particles on an extremal MTZ black hole. We derive that extremal ($2+1$) dimensional black holes can be overcharged by test particles, unlike their analogues in $4$ and higher dimensions. Nearly-extremal black holes can also be overcharged, by a judicious choice of energy and charge for the test particles in the case when we ignore the s…
It has been shown that the quasinormal modes of perturebated fields can be used to investigate the validity of strong cosmic censorship (SCC). Relevant issues for Reissner-Nordstrom-de Sitter (RNdS) black holes and Born-Infeld-de Sitter (BI-dS) black holes have been discussed. In this paper, we investigate SCC in an asymptotic RN-dS black hole with logarithmic nonlinear electromagnetic field perturbed by massless scalar fields. It has been argued that SCC can be violated in a near-extremal RN-dS black hole. However, we find that the NLED effect can rescue SCC for a near-extremal logarithmic-de…
The strong cosmic censorship conjecture, introduced by Penrose five decades ago, asserts that, in self-consistent theories of gravity, Cauchy horizons inside dynamically formed black holes should be unstable to remnant perturbation fields that fall into the newly born black holes. The question of the (in)validity of this intriguing conjecture in non-asymptotically flat charged black-hole spacetimes has recently attracted much attention from physicists and mathematicians. We here provide a general proof, which is based on Bekenstein's generalized second law of thermodynamics, for the validity o…
The formulation of the laws of black hole mechanics assumes the stability of black holes under perturbations in accordance with the "cosmic censorship hypothesis"(CCH). CCH prohibits the formation of a naked singularity by a physical process from a regular black hole solution with an event horizon. Earlier studies show that naked singularities can indeed be formed leading to the violation of CCH if a near-extremal black hole is injected with massive charged particles and the back reaction effects are neglected. We investigate the validity of CCH by considering the infall of charged massless pa…
In gr-qc/9902061 it was shown that (n+1)-dimensional asymptotically anti-de-Sitter spacetimes obeying natural causality conditions exhibit topological censorship. We use this fact in this paper to derive in arbitrary dimension relations between the topology of the timelike boundary-at-infinity, $\scri$, and that of the spacetime interior to this boundary. We prove as a simple corollary of topological censorship that any asymptotically anti-de Sitter spacetime with a disconnected boundary-at-infinity necessarily contains black hole horizons which screen the boundary components from each other. …
Two aspects of the widely accepted heuristic picture of the final state of gravitational collapse are the so-called Price law tails, describing the asymptotics of the exterior region of the black hole that forms, and Israel-Poisson's mass inflation scenario, describing the internal structure of the black hole. (The latter scenario, if valid, would indicate that the maximal development of initial data is extendible as a C^0 metric, putting into question the validity of Penrose's strong cosmic censorship conjecture.) In this talk, I shall discuss a series of rigorous results proving both Price's…
Israel's proof of the third law of black hole dynamics is based on the semi-rigidity assumption which requires that the areas of the outermost trapped surfaces are preserved. We argue that the condition that the area of the event horizon should not decrease is necessary -but not sufficient- for the semi-rigidity assumption to hold. It is known that the presence of a naked singularity in the exterior region invalidates Hawking's proof of the area theorem. In this sense, the third law assumes the validity of the strong form of the cosmic censorship conjecture, contrary to general acceptance. Sti…
We show that four-dimensional Lorentzian metrics admitting a global spacelike Lie group of isometries, $G_{1}={\mathbb R}$, which obey the Einstein equations for vacuum and certain types of matter, cannot contain apparent horizons. The assumed global isometry allows for the dimensional reduction of the (3+1) system to a (2+1) picture, wherein the four-dimensional metric fields act formally as matter fields. A theorem by Ida allows one to check for the absence of apparent horizons in the dimensionally reduced spacetime, with the four-dimensional results following from the topological product na…
It was recently shown that Strong Cosmic Censorship might be violated for near-extremally-charged black holes in 4-dimensional de Sitter space under scalar perturbations. Here, we extend the study of neutral massless scalar perturbations in higher dimensions and discuss the dimensional influence on the validity of Strong Cosmic Censorship hypothesis. By giving an elaborate description of neutral massless scalar perturbations of Reissner-Nordström-de Sitter black holes in $d=4,5$ and $6$ dimensions we conclude that Strong Cosmic Censorship is violated near extremality.
Recent researches of the novel $4D$ Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet (EGB) gravity have attracted great attention. In this paper, we investigate the validity of the weak cosmic censorship conjecture for a novel $4D$ charged EGB black hole with test charged scalar field and test charged particle respectively. For the test charged field scattering process, we find that both extremal and near-extremal black holes cannot be overcharged. For the test charged particle injection, to first order, an extremal black hole cannot be overcharged while a near-extremal $4D$ charged EGB black hole can be destroyed. To s…
We test the validity of cosmic censorship in the rotating anti-de Sitter black hole. For this purpose, we investigate whether the extremal black hole can be overspun by the particle absorption. The particle absorption will change the mass and angular momentum of the black hole, which is analyzed using the Hamilton-Jacobi equations consistent with the laws of thermodynamics. We have found that the mass of the extremal black hole increases more than the angular momentum. Therefore, the outer horizon of the black hole still exists, and cosmic censorship is valid.
We study the behaviour of a free massive scalar wave-packet near the Cauchy horizon of an $\mathrm{AdS}_2$ black hole and find that it becomes infinitely differentiable for smooth initial data, independently of the parameters describing the spacetime or the scalar. This indicates a violation of the strong cosmic censorship conjecture at the classical level. We discuss our result in connection with some recent observations of violation of the conjecture for certain nearly extremal black holes.
We investigate the validity of weak cosmic censorship conjecture for electrically charged black holes in the presence of gravity's rainbow under charged particle absorption. The rainbow effect is shown to play an important role when the black hole is modified by a particle carrying energy and electric charge. Remarkably, we prove that the rainbow-charged black hole can be overspun beyond the extremal condition under charged particle absorption. Further, it is demonstrated that the second law of thermodynamics and cosmic censorship conjecture are violated owing to the rainbow effect.
If radiative and self-force effects are neglected, we find that feeding a test particle into a near-extremal Kerr-Newman-AdS black hole could lead to destroy their event horizon, giving rise to naked singularities. Hence radiative and self-force effects must be taken into account to further test cosmic censorship. Moreover, the allowed parameter range for this test particle is very narrow, this leaves the possibility of radiative and self-force effects considerations to cure the problem of WCC violation in Kerr-Newman-AdS spacetime.
It is well known that ($2+1$) dimensional charged BTZ (Banados, Teitelboim, Zanelli) black hole can be overcharged by a charged scalar field and a charged particle in contrast to their analogues in ($3+1$) and higher dimensions. In this regard, it may play an important role to understand more deeply the properties of the ($2+1$)-dimensional charged black hole in the Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet (EGB) gravity. In this paper, we test the validity of the weak cosmic censorship conjecture for the ($2+1$)-dimensional charged black hole in novel EGB theory derived recently by Henniger et. al (2021). We sho…
The cosmic censorship hypothesis introduced by Penrose thirty years ago is still one of the most important open questions in {\it classical} general relativity. The main goal of this paper is to put forward the idea that cosmic censorship is intrinsically a {\it quantum} phenomena. We construct a gedanken experiment which seems to violate the cosmic censorship principle within the purely {\it classical} framework of general relativity. We prove, however, that {\it quantum} physics restores the validity of the conjecture. It is therefore suggested that cosmic censorship might be enforced by a q…
The fate of strong cosmic censorship is ultimately linked to the extendibility of perturbation across the Cauchy Horizon and known to be violated in the near extremal region of a charged de Sitter black hole. Similar violations can also be realized in higher curvature theories, with the strength of violation becoming stronger as compared to general relativity. In this work, we extend this analysis further to study the validity of strong cosmic censorship conjecture in the context of the regularised four-dimensional Einstein Gauss-Bonnet theory with respect to both scalar and electromagnetic pe…
We investigate the possibility of cosmic censorship violation in string theory using a characteristic double-null code, which penetrates horizons and is capable of resolving the spacetime all the way to the singularity. We perform high-resolution numerical simulations of the evolution of negative mass initial scalar field profiles, which were argued to provide a counterexample to cosmic censorship conjecture for AdS-asymptotic spacetimes in five-dimensional supergravity. In no instances formation of naked singularity is seen. Instead, numerical evidence indicates that black holes form in the c…
As a charged spinning fermion drops into a charged rotating BTZ black hole, we investigate the laws of thermodynamics and weak cosmic censorship conjecture with and without pressure respectively. For the case without pressure, the first law, second law, as well as the weak cosmic censorship are found to be valid. While for the case with pressure, though the first law is still valid, the second law and the weak cosmic censorship conjecture are found to be violable, depending on the charge, angular momentum, AdS radius, and their variations. In addition, in both cases, the configurations of the …
We investigate the weak cosmic censorship conjecture in extremal and near-extremal Kerr-Newman-(anti-)de Sitter black holes by the scattering of a massive scalar field with an electric charge. Under this scattering, the scalar field fluxes change the black hole state, as determined by the mass, angular momentum, and electric charge. The black hole may exceed its extremal condition because of these changes. However, we find that the black hole cannot be overcharged or overspun by the scattering. In particular, although the fluxes are closely associated with the asymptotic boundary conditions al…
We show that a noncommutative massless scalar probe can dress a naked singularity in $AdS_3$ spacetime, consistent with the weak cosmic censorship. The dressing occurs at high energies, which is typical at the Planck scale. Using a noncommutative duality, we show that the dressed singularity has the geometry of a rotating BTZ black hole which satisfies all the laws of black hole thermodynamics. We calculate the entropy and the quasi-normal modes of the dressed singularity and show that the corresponding spacetime can be quantum mechanically complete. The noncommutative duality also gives rise …
We derive the thermodynamic products particularly area (or entropy) products of ${\cal H}^{\pm}$ for certain class of black holes in AdS space. We show by explicit and exact calculations that more complicated function of event horizon area and Cauchy horizon area is indeed mass-independent. This mass-independent quantities indicate that they \emph{could turn out to be an "universal" quantity} provided that they depends only on the quantized angular momentum, quantized charges, and cosmological constant respectively. Furthermore, these area (or entropy) product relations for several class of bl…
The cosmic censorship hypothesis introduced by Penrose thirty years ago is still one of the most important open questions in {\it classical} general relativity. In this essay we put forward the idea that cosmic censorship is intrinsically a {\it quantum gravity} phenomena. To that end we construct a gedanken experiment in which cosmic censorship is violated within the purely {\it classical} framework of general relativity. We prove, however, that {\it quantum} effects restore the validity of the conjecture. This suggests that classical general relativity is inconsistent and that cosmic censors…
We investigate the strong cosmic censorship conjecture in lukewarm Reissner-Nordström-de Sitter black holes (and Martínez-Troncoso-Zanelli black holes) using the quasinormal resonance of non-minimally coupled massive scalar field. The strong cosmic censorship conjecture is closely related to the stability of the Cauchy horizon governed by the decay rate of the dominant quasinormal mode. Here, dominant modes are obtained in the limits of small and large mass black holes. Then, we connect the modes by using the WKB approximation. In our analysis, the strong cosmic censorship conjecture is valid …
The hypothesis of cosmic censorship (CCH) plays a crucial role in classical general relativity, namely to ensure that naked singularities would never emerge, since it predicts that whenever a singularity is formed an event horizon would always develop around it as well, to prevent the former from interacting directly with the rest of the Universe. Should this not be so, naked singularities could eventually form, in which case phenomena beyond our understanding and ability to predict could occur, since at the vicinity of the singularity both predictability and determinism break down even at the…
It has been shown that the Christodoulou version of the Strong Cosmic Censorship (SCC) conjecture can be violated for a scalar field in a near-extremal Reissner-Nordstrom-de Sitter black hole. In this paper, we investigate the effects of higher derivative corrections to the Einstein-Hilbert action on the validity of SCC, by considering a neutral massless scalar perturbation in 5- and 6-dimensional Einstein-Maxwell-Gauss-Bonnet-de Sitter black holes. Our numerical results exhibit that the higher derivative term plays a different role in the d = 5 case than it does in the d = 6 case. For d = 5, …
