We implement the conformal bootstrap program for three-dimensional CFTs with $\mathcal{N}=2$ supersymmetry and find universal constraints on the spectrum of operator dimensions in these theories. By studying the bounds on the dimension of the first scalar appearing in the OPE of a chiral and an anti-chiral primary, we find a kink at the expected location of the critical three-dimensional $\mathcal{N}=2$ Wess-Zumino model, which can be thought of as a supersymmetric analog of the critical Ising model. Focusing on this kink, we determine, to high accuracy, the low-lying spectrum of operator dimensions of the theory.
Bootstrapping mixed correlators in three dimensional conformal field theories with a $\mathbb Z_2$ global symmetry has previously led to a closed allowed region in ($Δ_σ$, $Δ_ε$) space surrounding the 3D Ising model. We repeat that analysis in two dimensions. By further assuming a gap in the spin-2 sector, we also find a closed allowed region in ($Δ_σ$, $Δ_ε$) space surrounding the 2D Ising model.
Recent numerical results point to the existence of a conformally invariant twist defect in the critical 3d Ising model. In this note we show that this fact is supported by both epsilon expansion and conformal bootstrap calculations. We find that our results are in good agreement with the numerical data. We also make new predictions for operator dimensions and OPE coefficients from the bootstrap approach. In the process we derive universal bounds on one-dimensional conformal field theories and conformal line defects.
We estimate thermal one-point functions in the 3d Ising CFT using the operator product expansion (OPE) and the Kubo-Martin-Schwinger (KMS) condition. Several operator dimensions and OPE coefficients of the theory are known from the numerical bootstrap for flat-space four-point functions. Taking this data as input, we use a thermal Lorentzian inversion formula to compute thermal one-point coefficients of the first few Regge trajectories in terms of a small number of unknown parameters. We approximately determine the unknown parameters by imposing the KMS condition on the two-point functions $\l…
Given a conformal data on a flat Euclidean space, we use crosscap conformal bootstrap equations to numerically solve the Lee-Yang model as well as the critical Ising model on a three-dimensional real projective space. We check the rapid convergence of our bootstrap program in two-dimensions from the exact solutions available. Based on the comparison, we estimate that our systematic error on the numerically solved one-point functions of the critical Ising model on a three-dimensional real projective space is less than one percent. Our method opens up a novel way to solve conformal field theorie…
We study the statistical Ising model of spins on the infinite lattice using a bootstrap method that combines spin-flip identities with positivity conditions, including reflection positivity and Griffiths inequalities, to derive rigorous two-sided bounds on spin correlators through semi-definite programming. For the 2D Ising model on the square lattice, the bootstrap bounds based on correlators supported in a 13-site diamond-shaped region determine the nearest-spin correlator to within a small window, which for a wide range of coupling and magnetic field is narrower than the precision attainabl…
We study the conformal bootstrap for systems of correlators involving non-identical operators. The constraints of crossing symmetry and unitarity for such mixed correlators can be phrased in the language of semidefinite programming. We apply this formalism to the simplest system of mixed correlators in 3D CFTs with a $\mathbb{Z}_2$ global symmetry. For the leading $\mathbb{Z}_2$-odd operator $σ$ and $\mathbb{Z}_2$-even operator $ε$, we obtain numerical constraints on the allowed dimensions $(Δ_σ, Δ_ε)$ assuming that $σ$ and $ε$ are the only relevant scalars in the theory. These constraints yie…
The 3D Ising model and the generalized free scalar of dimension at least 0.75 belong to a continuous line of nonlocal fixed points, each referred to as a long-range Ising model. They can be distinguished by the dimension of the lightest spin-2 operator, which interpolates between 3 and 3.5 if we focus on the non-trivial part of the fixed line. A property common to all such theories is the presence of three relevant conformal primaries, two of which form a shadow pair. This pair is analogous to a superconformal multiplet in that it enforces relations between certain conformal blocks. By demandi…
We suggest a way to implement conformal bootstrap program for the case of the ${\cal N}=1$ SCFT in three dimensions using the previous analysis of the Ising model in \cite{CB}. We find approximate values for the conformal dimensions of several operators and the central charge $C_T$, the coefficient in the two-point function of the stress-tensor. Bootstrapping this particular (minimal) SCFT is of special interest as it was suggested in \cite{CM} that it may realize supersymmetry in 2+1 dimensions in experiment. The values are in a good agreement with the previous estimate in \cite{CM}.
We study the conformal bootstrap constraints for 3D conformal field theories with a $\mathbb{Z}_2$ or parity symmetry, assuming a single relevant scalar operator $ε$ that is invariant under the symmetry. When there is additionally a single relevant odd scalar $σ$, we map out the allowed space of dimensions and three-point couplings of such "Ising-like" CFTs. If we allow a second relevant odd scalar $σ'$, we identify a feature in the allowed space compatible with 3D $\mathcal{N}=1$ superconformal symmetry and conjecture that it corresponds to the minimal $\mathcal{N}=1$ supersymmetric extension…
Conformal field theories (CFTs) with cubic global symmetry in 3D are relevant in a variety of condensed matter systems and have been studied extensively with the use of perturbative methods like the $\varepsilon$ expansion. In an earlier work, we used the nonperturbative numerical conformal bootstrap to provide evidence for the existence of a previously unknown 3D CFT with cubic symmetry, dubbed "Platonic CFT". In this work, we make further use of the numerical conformal bootstrap to perform a three-dimensional scan in the space of scaling dimensions of three low-lying operators. We find a thr…

Soft function relevant for transverse-momentum resummation for Drell-Yan or Higgs production at hadron colliders are computed through to three loops in the expansion of strong coupling, with the help of bootstrap technique and supersymmetric decomposition. The corresponding rapidity anomalous dimension is extracted. An intriguing relation between anomalous dimensions for transverse-momentum resummation and threshold resummation is found.
We establish a direct link between massive Ising model and arbitrary massive $N=2$ supersymmetric QFT's in two dimensions. This explains why the equations which appear in the computation of spin-correlations in the non-critical Ising model are the same as those describing the geometry of vacua in $N=2$ theories. The tau-function appearing in the Ising model (i.e., the spin correlation function) is reinterpreted in the $N=2$ context as a new `index'. In special cases this new index is related to Ray-Singer analytic torsion, and can be viewed as a generalization of that to loop space of Kähler m…
We propose a novel approach to study conformal field theories (CFTs) in general dimensions. In the conformal bootstrap program, one usually searches for consistent CFT data that satisfy crossing symmetry. In the new approach, we reverse the logic and interpret manifestly crossing-symmetric functions as generating functions of conformal data. Physical CFTs can be obtained by scanning the space of symmetric functions. By truncating the fusion rules, we are able to concentrate on the low-lying operators and derive some approximate relations for their conformal data. It turns out that the free sca…
How much spectral information is needed to determine the correlation functions of a conformal theory? We study this question in the context of planar supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory, where integrability techniques accurately determine the single-trace spectrum at finite 't Hooft coupling. Corresponding OPE coefficients are constrained by dispersive sum rules, which implement crossing symmetry. Focusing on correlators of four stress-tensor multiplets, we construct combinations of sum rules which determine one-loop correlators, and we study a numerical bootstrap problem that nonperturbatively b…
We combine supersymmetric localization results with numerical bootstrap techniques to compute upper bounds on the low-lying CFT data of ${\cal N} = 4$ super-Yang-Mills theory as a function of the complexified gauge coupling $τ$. In particular, from the stress tensor multiplet four-point function, we extract the scaling dimension of the lowest-lying unprotected scalar operator and its OPE coefficient. While our method can be applied in principle to any gauge group $G$, we focus on $G = SU(2)$ and $SU(3)$ for simplicity. At weak coupling, the upper bounds we find are very close to the correspond…
We study two-point functions of single-trace half-BPS operators in the presence of a supersymmetric Wilson line in $\mathcal{N}=4$ SYM. We use inversion formula technology in order to reconstruct the CFT data starting from a single discontinuity of the correlator. In the planar strong coupling limit only a finite number of conformal blocks contributes to the discontinuity, which allows us to obtain elegant closed-form expressions for two-point functions of single-trace operators $\mathcal{O}_J$ of weight $J=2,3,4$. Our final result passes a number of non-trivial consistency checks: it has the …
Quenched disorder is very important but notoriously hard. In 1979, Parisi and Sourlas proposed an interesting and powerful conjecture about the infrared fixed points with random field type of disorder: such fixed points should possess an unusual supersymmetry, by which they reduce in two less spatial dimensions to usual non-supersymmetric non-disordered fixed points. This conjecture however is known to fail in some simple cases, but there is no consensus on why this happens. In this paper we give new non-perturbative arguments for dimensional reduction. We recast the problem in the language of…
In this note we report an improved determination of the scaling dimensions and OPE coefficients of the minimal supersymmetric extension of the 3d Ising model using the conformal bootstrap. We also show how this data can be used as input to the Lorentzian inversion formula, finding good agreement between analytic calculations and numerical extremal spectra once mixing effects are resolved.
We analyze the evolution of the particle spectrum of the Tricritical Ising Model by varying the couplings of the energy and vacancy density fields. The particle content changes from the spectrum of a supersymmetric theory (either of an exact or a spontaneously broken supersymmetric theory) to the spectrum of seven particles related to the underlying E_7 structure. In the low temperature phase some of these excitations are topologically charged particles that are stable under an arbitrary variation of the parameters. The high and low temperature phases of the model are related by duality. In so…
Recently, the modular linear differential equation (MLDE) for level-two congruence subgroups $Γ_θ, Γ^{0}(2)$ and $Γ_0(2)$ of $\text{SL}_2(\mathbb{Z})$ was developed and used to classify the fermionic rational conformal field theories (RCFT). Two character solutions of the second-order fermionic MLDE without poles were found and their corresponding CFTs are identified. Here we extend this analysis to explore the landscape of three character fermionic RCFTs obtained from the third-order fermionic MLDE without poles. Especially, we focus on a class of the fermionic RCFTs whose Neveu-Schwarz secto…
We show that the equality of 2d $\mathcal{N}$=(2,2) supersymmetric indices in Seiberg-type duality leads to a new integrable Ising-type model. The emergence of the new model is the result of correspondence between the supersymmetric $SU(2)$ quiver gauge theories and the Yang-Baxter equation. Using this correspondence, we solve the star-triangle relation and obtain the two-dimensional exactly solvable spin model. The model corresponding to our solution possesses continuous spin variables on the circle and the Boltzmann weights are demonstrated in terms of Jacobi theta function. Using the soluti…
We argue that it is possible to maintain both supersymmetry and integrability in the boundary tricritical Ising field theory. Indeed, we find two sets of boundary conditions and corresponding boundary perturbations which are both supersymmetric and integrable. The first set corresponds to a ``direct sum'' of two non-supersymmetric theories studied earlier by Chim. The second set corresponds to a one-parameter deformation of another theory studied by Chim. For both cases, the conserved supersymmetry charges are linear combinations of Q, \bar Q and the spin-reversal operator Γ.

We analyse quench processes in two dimensional quantum field theories with infinite number of conservation laws which also include fermionic charges that close a $N=1$ supersymmetric algebra. While in general the quench protocol induces a breaking of supersymmetry, we show that there are particular initial states which ensure the persistence of supersymmetry also for the dynamics out of equilibrium. We discuss the conditions that identify such states and, as application, we present the significant cases of the Tricritical Ising Model and the Sine-Gordon model at its supersymmetric point. We al…
We show that the scaling dimensions of lowest operators in conformal field theories (CFTs) can be isolated in small and closed regions from single correlator bootstrap. We find the conserved currents play crucial roles in bootstrapping the crossing equation. By imposing a mild gap between the scaling dimensions of the conserved current and its next operator, the scaling dimensions of lowest operators are forced to lie in small isolated regions, i.e., these CFTs can be almost fixed by few lowest operators in certain channels. For CFTs with extended supersymmetry, the single correlator crossing …
We study the integrable and supersymmetric massive $\hatϕ_{(1,3)}$ deformation of the tricritical Ising model in the presence of a boundary. We use constraints from supersymmetry in order to compute the exact boundary $S$-matrices, which turn out to depend explicitly on the topological charge of the supersymmetry algebra. We also solve the general boundary Yang-Baxter equation and show that in appropriate limits the general reflection matrices go over the supersymmetry preserving solutions. Finally, we briefly discuss the possible connection between our reflection matrices and boundary perturb…
We study the dimensions of non-chiral operators in the Veneziano limit of N=1 supersymmetric QCD in the conformal window. We show that when acting on gauge-invariant operators built out of scalars, the 1-loop dilatation operator is equivalent to the spin chain Hamiltonian of the 1D Ising model in a transverse magnetic field, which is a nontrivial integrable system that is exactly solvable at finite length. Solutions with periodic boundary conditions give the anomalous dimensions of flavor-singlet operators and solutions with fixed boundary conditions give the anomalous dimensions of operators …

The goal of this paper is to exhibit a deep relation between the partition function of the Ising model on a planar trivalent graph and the generating series of the spin network evaluations on the same graph. We provide respectively a fermionic and a bosonic Gaussian integral formulation for each of these functions and we show that they are the inverse of each other (up to some explicit constants) by exhibiting a supersymmetry relating the two formulations. We investigate three aspects and applications of this duality. First, we propose higher order supersymmetric theories which couple the geom…
We study Bailey pairs construction for hyperbolic hypergeometric integral identities acquired via the duality of lens partitions functions for the three-dimensional $\mathcal N=2$ supersymmetric gauge theories on $S_b^3/\mathbb{Z}_r$. The novel Bailey pairs are constructed for the star-triangle relation, the star-star relation and the pentagon identity. The first two of them are integrability conditions for the Ising-type integrable lattice models. The last one corresponds to the representation of the basic $2-3$ Pachner move for triangulated 3-manifolds.
Dirac and Weyl fermions appear as quasi-particle excitations in many different condensed-matter systems. They display various quantum transitions which represent unconventional universality classes related to the variants of the Gross-Neveu model. In this work we study the bosonized version of the standard Gross-Neveu model -- the Gross-Neveu-Yukawa theory -- at three-loop order, and compute critical exponents in $4-ε$ dimensions for general number of fermion flavors. Our results fully encompass the previously known two-loop calculations, and agree with the known three-loop results in the pure…
We propose a supersymmetric generalization of Cardy's equation for consistent N=1 superconformal boundary states. We solve this equation for the superconformal minimal models SM(p/p+2) with p odd, and thereby provide a classification of the possible superconformal boundary conditions. In addition to the Neveu-Schwarz (NS) and Ramond (R) boundary states, there are NS~ states. The NS and NS~ boundary states are related by a Z_2 "spin-reversal" transformation. We treat the tricritical Ising model as an example, and in an appendix we discuss the (non-superconformal) case of the Ising model.
We revisit perturbative RG analysis in the replicated Landau-Ginzburg description of the Random Field Ising Model near the upper critical dimension 6. Working in a field basis with manifest vicinity to a weakly-coupled Parisi-Sourlas supersymmetric fixed point (Cardy, 1985), we look for interactions which may destabilize the SUSY RG flow and lead to the loss of dimensional reduction. This problem is reduced to studying the anomalous dimensions of "leaders" -- lowest dimension parts of $S_n$-invariant perturbations in the Cardy basis. Leader operators are classified as non-susy-writable, susy-w…
The critical behavior of a relativistic $\mathbb{Z}_2$-symmetric Yukawa model at zero temperature and density is discussed for a continuous number of fermion degrees of freedom and of spacetime dimensions, with emphasis on the role played by multi-meson exchange in the Yukawa sector. We argue that this should be generically taken into account in studies based on the functional renormalization group, either in four-dimensional high-energy models or in lower-dimensional condensed-matter systems. By means of the latter method, we describe the generation of multi-critical models in less then three…
We study the chiral Ising, the chiral XY and the chiral Heisenberg models at four-loop order with the perturbative renormalization group in $4-ε$ dimensions and compute critical exponents for the Gross-Neveu-Yukawa fixed points to order $\mathcal{O}(ε^4)$. Further, we provide Padé estimates for the correlation length exponent, the boson and fermion anomalous dimension as well as the leading correction to scaling exponent in 2+1 dimensions. We also confirm the emergence of supersymmetric field theories at four loops for the chiral Ising and the chiral XY models with $N=1/4$ and $N=1/2$ fermions…
We study the three-dimensional lens partition function for $\mathcal N=2$ supersymmetric gauge dual theories on $S^3/\mathbb{Z}_r$ by using the gauge/YBE correspondence. This correspondence relates supersymmetric gauge theories to exactly solvable models of statistical mechanics. The equality of partition functions for the three-dimensional supersymmetric dual theories can be written as an integral identity for hyperbolic hypergeometric functions. We obtain such an integral identity which can be written as the star-triangle relation for Ising type integrable models and as the integral pentagon…
We consider the supersymmetric approach to gaussian disordered systems like the random bond Ising model and Dirac model with random mass and random potential. These models appeared in particular in the study of the integer quantum Hall transition. The supersymmetric approach reveals an osp(2/2)_1 affine symmetry at the pure critical point. A similar symmetry should hold at other fixed points. We apply methods of conformal field theory to determine the conformal weights at all levels. These weights can generically be negative because of non-unitarity. Constraints such as locality allow us to qu…
We apply numerical conformal bootstrap techniques to the four-point function of a Weyl spinor in 4d non-supersymmetric CFTs. We find universal bounds on operator dimensions and OPE coefficients, including bounds on operators in mixed symmetry representations of the Lorentz group, which were inaccessible in previous bootstrap studies. We find discontinuities in some of the bounds on operator dimensions, and we show that they arise due to a generic yet previously unobserved fake primary effect, which is related to the existence of poles in conformal blocks. We show that this effect is also respo…
We compute the planar limit of both the free energy and the expectation value of the $1/2$ BPS Wilson loop for four dimensional ${\cal N}=2$ superconformal quiver theories, with a product of SU($N$)s as gauge group and bi-fundamental matter. Supersymmetric localization reduces the problem to a multi-matrix model, that we rewrite in the zero-instanton sector as an effective action involving an infinite number of double-trace terms, determined by the relevant extended Cartan matrix. We find that the results, as in the case of $\mathcal{N}=2$ SCFTs with a simple gauge group, can be written as sum…
This thesis contains three main parts, which are largely independent. In the first part we deal with the boundary bootstrap in supersymmetric factorized scattering theory. We give a description of supersymmetry in the case when the space is a half-line and present rules for the determination of the representations in which higher level boundary bound states transform, and for the determination of the supersymmetric one-particle reflection matrix factors for the higher level boundary bound states. These rules apply under the condition that the bulk particles transform in the kink or in the boso…
