We consider a Monge-Ampère functional and its corresponding second boundary value problem, a nonlinear fourth order PDE with two Dirichlet boundary conditions. This problem was solved by Trudinger-Wang and Le under the assumption that the right hand side of the equation is nonpositive. We remove this assumption, to settle the case of the second boundary value problem with arbitrary right hand side, in dimensions $n \ge 2$. In particular, this shows that one can prescribe the affine mean curvature of the graph of a convex function with Dirichlet boundary conditions on the function and the determinant of its Hessian.
We relate our results, and the case of $n=1$, to a notion of properness for a certain functional on the set of convex functions.
We consider degenerate Monge-Ampère equations on compact Hessian manifolds. We establish compactness properties of the set of normalized quasi-convex functions and show local and global comparison principles for twisted Monge-Ampère operators. We then use the Perron method to solve Monge-Ampère equations whose RHS involves an arbitrary probability measure, generalizing works of Cheng-Yau, Delanoë, Caffarelli-Viaclovsky and Hultgren-Önnheim. The intrinsic approach we develop should be useful in deriving similar results on mildly singular Hessian varieties, in line with the Strominger-Yau-Zaslow…
We prove a local volume noncollapsing estimate for Kähler metrics induced from a family of complex Monge-Ampère equations, assuming a local Ricci curvature lower bound. This local volume estimate can be applied to establish various diameter and gradient estimate.
A new proof for stability estimates for the complex Monge-Ampère and Hessian equations is given, which does not require pluripotential theory. A major advantage is that the resulting stability estimates are then uniform under general degenerations of the background metric in the case of the Monge-Ampère equation, and under degenerations to a big class in the case of Hessian equations.
In this paper, we consider the Monge-Ampère type equations on compact almost Hermitian manifolds. We derive $C^{\infty}$ a priori estimates under the existence of an admissible $\mathcal{C}$-subsolution. Finally, we obtain an existence result if there exists an admissible supersolution.
We improve our previous gradient estimate for the Monge-Ampère equation on a compact Hermitian manifold and give a estimates for the non-mixed second order derivatives. These estimates are required to apply either the Evans-Krylov estimates for second order derivatives or the third derivatives estimates for equations with a gradient term.
In this paper, we prove a $C^{1,1}$ estimate for solutions of complex Monge-Ampère equations on compact almost Hermitian manifolds. Using this $C^{1,1}$ estimate, we show existence of $C^{1,1}$ solutions to the degenerate Monge-Ampère equations, the corresponding Dirichlet problems and the singular Monge-Ampère equations. We also study the singularities of the pluricomplex Green's function. In addition, the proof of the above $C^{1,1}$ estimate is valid for a kind of complex Monge-Ampère type equations. As a geometric application, we prove the $C^{1,1}$ regularity of geodesics in the space of …
We establish a stability result for elliptic and parabolic complex Monge-Amp{è}re equations on compact K{ä}hler manifolds, which applies in particular to the K{ä}hler-Ricci flow. Dedicated to Jean-Pierre Demailly on the occasion of his 60th birthday.
In this paper, we prove a uniform and sharp estimate for the modulus of continuity of solutions to complex Monge-Ampère equations, using the PDE-based approach developed by the first three authors in their approach to supremum estimates for fully non-linear equations in Kähler geometry. As an application, we derive a uniform diameter bound for Kähler metrics satisfying certain Monge-Ampère equations.
This text contains the material discussed by the author in the Bourbaki seminar of June 2018, on the recent developments in the theory of the Monge-Ampère equation.
We obtain a quantitative expansion at infinity of solutions for a kind of Monge-Ampère type equations that origin from mean curvature equations of Lagrangian graph $(x,Du(x))$ and refine the previous study on zero mean curvature equations and the Monge-Ampère equations.
We study a Monge-Ampère type equation that interpolates the classical {σ_2} -Yamabe equation in conformal geometry and the 2-Hessian equation in dimension 4.
In this paper, we prove a Moser-Trudinger type inequality for pluri-subharmonic functions vanishing on the boundary. Our proof uses a descent gradient flow for the complex Monge-Ampere functional.

We consider the exterior Dirichlet problem for Monge-Ampère equation with prescribed asymptotic behavior. Based on earlier work by Caffarelli and the first named author, we complete the characterization of the existence and nonexistence of solutions in terms of their asymptotic behaviors.
We consider smooth solutions to the Monge-Amp`ere equation subject to mixed boundary conditions on annular domains. We establish global $C^2$ estimates when the boundary of the domain consists of two smooth strictly convex closed hypersurfaces.
For the Monge-Ampère equation with a right-hand side bounded away from 0 and infinity, we show that the solution, subject to the natural boundary condition arising in optimal transport, is in $W^{2,1+\varepsilon}$ up to the boundary.
