Given a pair of finite groups $F, G$ and a normalized 3-cocycle $ω$ of $G$, where $F$ acts on $G$ as automorphisms, we consider quasi-Hopf algebras defined as a cleft extension $\Bbbk^G_ω\#_c\,\Bbbk F$ where $c$ denotes some suitable cohomological data. When $F\rightarrow \overline{F}:=F/A$ is a quotient of $F$ by a central subgroup $A$ acting trivially on $G$, we give necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of a surjection of quasi-Hopf algebras and cleft extensions of the type $\Bbbk^G_ω\#_c\, \Bbbk F\rightarrow \Bbbk^G_ω\#_{\overline{c}} \, \Bbbk \overline{F}$. Our construction is particularly natural when $F=G$ acts on $G$ by conjugation, and $\Bbbk^G_ω\#_c \Bbbk G$ is a twisted quantum double $D^ω(G)$. In this case, we give necessary and sufficient conditions that Rep($\Bbbk^G_ω\#_{\overline{c}} \, \Bbbk \overline{G}$) is a modular tensor category.
In this work, the notion of a twisted partial Hopf action is introduced as a unified approach for twisted partial group actions, partial Hopf actions and twisted actions of Hopf algebras. The conditions on partial cocycles are established in order to construct partial crossed products, which are also related to partially cleft extensions of algebras. Examples are elaborated using algebraic groups.
We construct an invertible normalised 2 cocycle on the Ehresmann Schauenburg bialgebroid of a cleft Hopf Galois extension under the condition that the corresponding Hopf algebra is cocommutative and the image of the unital cocycle corresponding to this cleft Hopf Galois extension belongs to the centre of the coinvariant subalgebra. Moreover, we show that any Ehresmann Schauenburg bialgebroid of this kind is isomorphic to a 2-cocycle twist of the Ehresmann Schauenburg bialgebroid corresponding to a Hopf Galois extension without cocycle, where comodule algebra is an ordinary smash product of the…
In a recent article, the coordinate ring of the nodal cubic was given the structure of a quantum homogeneous space. Here the corresponding coalgebra Galois extension is expressed in terms of quantum groups at roots of unity, and is shown to be cleft. Furthermore, the minimal quotient extensions are determined.
We construct an explicit set of generators for the finite W-algebras associated to nilpotent matrices in the symplectic or orthogonal Lie algebras whose Jordan blocks are all of the same size. We use these generators to show that such finite W-algebras are quotients of twisted Yangians.
We apply the construction of the universal lower-bounded generalized twisted modules by the author to construct universal lower-bounded and grading-restricted generalized twisted modules for affine vertex (operator) algebras. We prove that these universal twisted modules for affine vertex (operator) algebras are equivalent to suitable induced modules of the corresponding twisted affine Lie algebra or quotients of such induced modules by explicitly given submodules.
We introduce a new family of twisted generalized Weyl algebras, called multiparameter twisted Weyl algebras, for which we parametrize all simple quotients of a certain kind. Both Jordan's simple localization of the multiparameter quantized Weyl algebra and Hayashi's q-analog of the Weyl algebra are special cases of this construction. We classify all simple weight modules over any multiparameter twisted Weyl algebra. Extending results by Benkart and Ondrus, we also describe all Whittaker pairs up to isomorphism over a class of twisted generalized Weyl algebras which includes the multiparameter …
We describe the structure of the irreducible highest weight modules for the twisted Heisenberg-Virasoro Lie algebra at level zero. We prove that such a module is either isomorphic to a Verma module or to a quotient of two Verma modules.
We show that the Ehresmann-Schauenburg bialgebroid of a quantum principal bundle $P$ or Hopf Galois extension with structure quantum group $H$ is in fact a left Hopf algebroid $L(P,H)$. We show further that if $H$ is coquasitriangular then $L(P,H)$ has an antipode map $S$ obeying certain minimal axioms. Trivial quantum principal bundles or cleft Hopf Galois extensions with base $B$ are known to be cocycle cross products $B\#_σH$ for a cocycle-action pair ($\vartriangleright$,$σ$) and we look at these of a certain `associative type' where $ \vartriangleright$ is an actual action. In this case a…
We introduce Galois Theory for Hopf-Galois Extensions proving existence of a Galois connection between subalgebras of an H-comodule algebra and generalised quotients of the Hopf algebra H. Moreover, we show that these quotients Q which define Q-Galois extension are the closed elements of our Galois connection. We generalise important results of Hopf--Galois Theory of M. Masuoka and H.-J. Schneider by showing that there is a bijective correspondence between right ideals coideals and right coideal subalgebras of any finite dimensional Hopf algebra and we reformulate the still open problem in the…
We study the convolution algebra $H^{G\times \CC^{*}}_{*}(Z)$ of $G$-equivariant homology group on the Steinberg variety of type B/C and define an algebra $\widetilde{Y}$ that maps to $H^{G\times \CC^{*}}_{*}(Z)$. The Drinfeld new realization of the twisted Yangian associated to symmetric pairs is a quotient of $\widetilde{Y}$. We also study the $G$-equivariant case and prove that the twisted Yangian is the deformation of the twisted current algebra.
We prove that any twisted generalized Weyl algebra satisfying certain consistency conditions can be embedded into a crossed product. We also introduce a new family of twisted generalized Weyl algebras, called multiparameter twisted Weyl algebras, for which we parametrize all simple quotients of a certain kind. Both Jordan's simple localization of the multiparameter quantized Weyl algebra and Hayashi's $q$-analog of the Weyl algebra are special cases of this construction. We classify all simple weight modules over any multiparameter twisted Weyl algebra. Extending results by Benkart and Ondrus,…
We study a class of quantized enveloping algebras, called twisted Yangians, associated with the symmetric pairs of types B, C, D in Cartan's classification. These algebras can be regarded as coideal subalgebras of the extended Yangian for orthogonal or symplectic Lie algebras. They can also be presented as quotients of a reflection algebra by additional symmetry relations. We prove an analogue of the Poincare-Birkoff-Witt Theorem, determine their centres and study also extended reflection algebras.
We extend the geometric approach to vertex algebras developed by the first author to twisted modules, allowing us to treat orbifold models in conformal field theory. Let $V$ be a vertex algebra, $H$ a finite group of automorphisms of $V$, and $C$ an algebraic curve such that $H \subset \on{Aut}(C)$. We show that a suitable collection of twisted $V$--modules gives rise to a section of a certain sheaf on the quotient $X=C/H$. We introduce the notion of conformal blocks for twisted modules, and analyze them in the case of the Heisenberg and affine Kac-Moody vertex algebras. We also give a chiral …
We initiate a study of the growth and matrix-valued Hilbert series of non-negatively graded twisted Calabi-Yau algebras that are homomorphic images of path algebras of weighted quivers, generalizing techniques previously used to investigate Artin-Schelter regular algebras and graded Calabi-Yau algebras. Several results are proved without imposing any assumptions on the degrees of generators or relations of the algebras. We give particular attention to twisted Calabi-Yau algebras of dimension d at most 3, giving precise descriptions of their matrix-valued Hilbert series and partial results desc…
Let $U$ be a compact semisimple Lie group with complexification $G$ and associated Cartan involution $Θ$. Let $ν$ be an involutive complex Lie group automorphism of $G$ commuting with $Θ$, and consider the associated semisimple real Lie group $G_ν = \{g\in G\mid ν(g) = Θ(g)\}$. We consider $q$-deformed analogues of the $U$-orbits of the quotient space $G_ν\backslash G$, and determine for these the associated von Neumann algebra and invariant state.
We consider graded twisted Calabi-Yau algebras of dimension 3 which are derivation-quotient algebras of the form $A = \kk Q/I$, where $Q$ is a quiver and $I$ is an ideal of relations coming from taking partial derivatives of a twisted superpotential on $Q$. We define the type $(M, P, d)$ of such an algebra $A$, where $M$ is the incidence matrix of the quiver, $P$ is the permutation matrix giving the action of the Nakayama automorphism of $A$ on the vertices of the quiver, and $d$ is the degree of the superpotential. We study the question of what possible types can occur under the additional as…
Let $G$ be a connected, simply connected simple complex algebraic group and let $ε$ be a primitive $\ell$th root of unity with $\ell$ odd and coprime with $3$ if $G$ is of type $G_{2}$. We determine all Hopf algebra quotients of the twisted multiparameter quantum function algebra $\mathcal{O}_ε^φ(G)$ introduced by Costantini and Varagnolo. This extends the results of Andruskiewitsch and the first author, where the untwisted case is treated.
We give a general, direct and explicit construction of lower-bounded generalized twisted modules satisfying a universal property for a grading-restricted vertex (super)algebra $V$ associated to an automorphism $g$ of $V$. In particular, when $g$ is the identity, we obtain lower-bounded generalized $V$-modules satisfying a universal property. Let $W$ be a lower-bounded graded vector space equipped with a set of "generating twisted fields" and a set of "generator twist fields" satisfying a weak commutativity for generating twisted fields, a generalized weak commutativity for one generating twist…
Twisted generalized Weyl algebras (TGWAs) are defined as the quotient of a certain graded algebra by the maximal graded ideal I with trivial zero component, analogous to how Kac-Moody algebras can be defined. In this paper we introduce the class of locally finite TGWAs, and show that one can associate to such an algebra a polynomial Cartan matrix (a notion extending the usual generalized Cartan matrices appearing in Kac-Moody algebra theory) and that the corresponding generalized Serre relations hold in the TGWA. We also give an explicit construction of a family of locally finite TGWAs dependi…
Let V be a vertex operator algebra and g an automorphism of order T. We construct a sequence of associative algebras A_{g,n}(V) with n\in\frac{1}{T}\Z nonnegative such that A_{g,n}(V) is a quotient of A_{g,n+1/T}(V) and a pair of functors between the category of A_{g,n}(V)-modules which are not A_{g,n-1/T}(V)-modules and the category of admissible V-modules. These functors exhibit a bijection between the simple modules in each category. We also show that V is g-rational if and only if all A_{g,n}(V) are finite-dimensional semisimple algebras.
Let k be any field. We consider the Hopf-Schur group of k, defined as the subgroup of the Brauer group of k consisting of classes that may be represented by homomorphic images of Hopf algebras over k. We show here that twisted group algebras and abelian extensions of k are quotients of cocommutative and commutative Hopf algebras over k, respectively. As a consequence we prove that any tensor product of cyclic algebras over k is a quotient of a Hopf algebra over k, revealing so that the Hopf-Schur group can be much larger than the Schur group of k.
The properties of Hopf star operations and twisted Hopf stars operations on quantum groups are discussed in relation with the theory of representations (star representations). Invariant Hermitian sesquilinear forms (scalar products) on modules or module-algebras are then defined and analyzed. Particular attention is paid to scalar products that can be associated with the Killing form (when it exists) or with the left (or right) invariant integrals on the quantum group. Our results are systematically illustrated in the case of a family of non semi-simple and finite dimensional quantum groups th…
We introduce and study action of quantum groups on skew polynomial rings and related rings of quotients. This leads to a ``q-deformation'' of the Gel'fand-Kirillov conjecture which we partially prove. We propose a construction of automorphisms of certain non-commutaive rings of quotients coming from complex powers of quantum group generators; this is applied to explicit calculation of singular vectors in Verma modules over $U_{q}(\gtsl_{n+1})$. We finally give a definition of a $q-$connection with coefficients in a ring of skew polynomials and study the structure of quantum group modules twist…
The Universal T-matrix is the capstone of the structure that consists of a quantum group and its dual, and the central object from which spring the T-matrices (monodromies) of all the associated integrable models. A closed expression is obtained for the case of multiparameter (twisted) quantum $gl(N)$. The factorized nature of standard quantum groups, that allows the explicit expression for $U\hskip-1mm T $ to be obtained with relative ease, extends to some nonstandard quantum groups, such as those based on $A_n^{(2)}$, and perhaps to all. The paper is mostly concerned with parameters in gener…
One of the difficulties in doing noncommutative projective geometry via explicitly presented graded algebras is that it is usually quite difficult to show flatness, as the Hilbert series is uncomputable in general. If the algebra has a regular central element, one can reduce to understanding the (hopefully more tractable) quotient. If the quotient is particularly nice, one can proceed in reverse and find all algebras of which it is the quotient by a regular central element (the filtered deformations of the quotient). We consider in detail the case that the quotient is an elliptic algebra (the …
